50 It All Adds Up

The many astral spirits stare at Hei as they wonder to themselves why their master is so reckless. "I am leaving now. There are many things which I must do and now I barely qualify to make it possible."

Hei exits his dimension and stands up. He restrains his aura as best as possible to hide his current achievements. After brushing himself off, he walks towards the teleportation zone that holds many astral gates.

As he walks, many persons give him odd looks. A few silently make comments like, "That's the kid who smells like Sapphire Jade" and "It that kid who is closely linked to Sapphire Jade." Hei seems to not hear a single word as he continues to walk to the teleportation zone.

Upon arrival, he notices that one of the astral gates is brimming with a bit of power as if a link is being established. Without saying anything to anyone, he sits to the side and closes his eyes in meditation. If one were to compare the Hei of a few days to the one now, they would realize that fundamentally, something seems completely different.

His previous naïve and emotional attitude seems to be completely gone as his usual emotionless and calm attitude exudes from his body. This makes him seem even more mysterious. Gradually, the energy from the astral gate increases until it finally warps many persons back into the sect.

Among these persons, a few from the Beast Constellation Clan can be seen. One of them is actually the shameless dragon Long Shenyuan. He seems to sense something as he looks in the direction of Hei. What he sees is a slightly taller Hei covered in a dark hooded cloak but an air of calm and cold constantly radiates from him.

As if a formless pressure is being released on him, Long Shenyuan who was just about to utter something shameless keeps quiet. He walks over to Hei and is about to utter something when Hei cuts him off, "We are going to speak somewhere private."

Hei stands up and walks towards the sapphire house. He senses inside the house and notices that Lan Ying Yue is actually not present. Hei pulls Shenyuan into his dimension and also enters. Sitting on a throne in the sky, Hei remains silent.

Closing his eyes, he seems to ponder as he a deathly silence awkwardly creeps into the dimension. Even the astral spirits who were speaking among themselves end up quieting themselves to observe what their master is doing.

Finally, Long Shenyuan is unable to endure anymore and says, "I have some information which you might find interesting. It's about…" Hei interrupts him with a calm and collected voice, "What is Sapphire Jade's background? She is keeping quiet about it and only pretends to do simple things."

Shenyuan's eyes open wider in curiosity as he casually replies, "Based on what I heard, she's from the 5 Moons Demon Sect. She has a Peak Immortal Physique and is their top talent. However, her more important background information is that she is the daughter of the current Demon Monarch. Due to war in their great world, she is staying here. It really is good to know how to seduce women. Hehehe"

Hei calmly observes Shenyuan, "You heard all of this from?" Shenyuan replies with a smiling face, "Wuya of course." Hei nods but a slightly distant memory surfaces in his mind. He thinks to himself, "This Sapphire Jade…Lan Ying Yue is actually that cat's daughter…Then the cat must be the Demon Monarch….Which means she is playing dumb while trying to get close to me."

Sitting quietly, he continues to think, "If that is the case, with the fact that she is trying to 'appeal to my emotions' and with how he tried to get me to marry his daughter from that contract, it seems he is in some sort of predicament. This can be seen from the fact that she is in this nameless place the dragon even said many wars are happening there."

While Hei thinks, the many astral spirits stare in his direction as they remember Hei's words along with his straight face. "Sapphire Jade…Lang Ying Yue…" Ren chuckles a bit, not feeling too surprised but at the same time is quite pleased at Hei. "Master was only pretending to see her motives. However, with the dragon arriving and knowing about her, he can directly get information about her background instead of going with the flow…"

Hei finally speaks once more, "Based on analysis, her talent is not too bad and with her apparently great looks, her father is more than likely being pressured to do something why he sent her away. Based on the usual clan and sect troubles, this must be marriage related."

If Sapphire Jade was present and hears Hei's words, she would definitely be shocked silly! Either this happens to regularly or Hei's perception is simply godly! More or less, this guess could be considered legitimate and is the surface situation.

"But…her actions are still a threat to me. I do not know what she is planning or what she could possibly get me involved in. Therefore, she is considered an enemy." Shenyuan's eyes bulge as he looks on Hei with shock.

"You mad kiddo? This dragon of antiquity refuses to make her his enemy. I'd rather make her my….hehehe. The point is, if her father can maintain his power until she becomes a peak immortal, then, she should have enough capital to be groomed as the next Demon Monarch! That's a good ally to have!"

Hei coldly glances at the dragon for a moment then continues to look forward, his hands clasped as he sits back on the pitch black throne in the sky. Just his appearance and slightly pressuring aura gives him the feeling of a god sitting in front of his worshippers.

"I will come to a decision when the entire situation is known. In regards to Xing Yinghua, I have done sufficient training for my words to matter when my plans are brought forward. Your report…let me hear it."

Hei's voice seems quite cold and as if all these matters are but trivial things on his road to becoming a true god. This actually makes the experienced and once lofty dragon feel as if he is truly weak and insignificant in front of this recently turned 7 year old.

Long Shenyuan quickly replies, "I received a hidden message from a spy I placed into the Hidden Dragon Sect. Impressive, aren't I?" Hei calmly observes him without much reaction, waiting on him to continue. This makes the dragon frown in disappointment.

"Tsk Tsk…not even the slightest of praise. Whatever, you're just jealous. This spy I placed took quite a lot of energy to make. After defeating someone in battle, I had to sacrifice a lot of my accumulated energy to just barely enslave him. Good thing I practiced this righteous art before. Anyways, with this dragon of antiquity's skillful and resourceful thinking, I managed to get the bastard under my complete control."

"Due to the fact that he keeps surviving battle while actually fighting, mostly this dragon of antiquity here that is on their sect's death list, he has gained a lot of battle merits. Now, in their sect, he has more information that wasn't available to low ranked persons."

"Furthermore, the many areas he is allowed to go possess stronger cultivators for him to eavesdrop on their conversations. Guess what he heard some persons discussing randomly in one of their sect's 'Heavenly Pleasure Palaces'?"

Hei remains silent as he waits on the dragon to finish. "Bastard….You damn kid…Fine, I will just say it. There are apparently a few traitors in the Nameless Sect. A few of the persons in the sect are actually giving information to the Hidden Dragon Sect!"

It was at this moment, Hei's cold expression become slightly distorted as he seems to come to many conclusions. Instead of shock, he actually seems to have finally resolved something which was bothering him. Like a mathematician who has encountered part of an equation and obviously needs the rest to be able to come up with an answer, Hei nods is understand.

"So that is it…I understand now. A few months ago when he just came here…That battle where the scouts were attacked was not the enemy accidentally discovering them. Furthermore, this happened as soon as we arrived which means they more than likely wanted to secretly have some of us killed to weaken the sect's reinforcements."

The dragon nods as he agrees with these possible outcomes. "What is also not an accident is Xing Yinghua being captured with the rest of the scouts once again. More than likely, they noticed that she accidentally went with the squad and took advantage of the situation. This means that at least one of the persons involved is related to receiving and issuing information to the forces of the sect."

"This person is subtly manipulating the scenes. What is also a possibility is that due to how rushed the situation was, they were not killed and captured due to lacking in preparation. After all, her presence was not accounted for."

"Thus, they more than likely did not plan on attacking that squad but suddenly did mobilize a squad to at least capture her. After all, she is a very talented person of the clan. If the Nameless Sect actually lost someone like her to the enemy, their ties would slowly break due to anger."

Hei nods as he thinks that his hypothesis seems quite correct. Shenyuan looks on him with incredibility passing through his eyes. "You're scary….this dragon of antiquity doesn't want to be your enemy when you're older."

"The Nameless Sect is compromised. At least someone in the upper echelons is leaking information. Furthermore, we must get back that Xing Yinghua at least. The rest of them can die, I do not care. However, she cannot die."

"While I do not care about the lives of many, any clan I am in will not suffer any kind of humiliation on my watch. That is blatant disrespect to me and I will not tolerate a bunch of filth making demands towards me."

Long Shenyuan laughs with mischief apparent in his voice. "Why don't you just say it's because you like her? Eeeeh? Who knew the cold hearted bastard of a kid could like someone?" Hei silently looks on Shenyuan without replying. He finally utters a simple sentence filled with so much nonchalance that it makes the dragon truly regret his teasing. "Do not court death."

These words echo within his mind and cause him to silently curse his own mischievous nature. As if trying to let Hei forget about the situation, he suddenly jumps up. "That reminds me! You were in seclusion for a while so you do not know this. You have many Clan Points to collect from Wuya."

For some reason, Hei doesn't seem quite interested in his words about Clan Points. "The war between both sects, in the time the clan joined in as reinforcements compared to what was happening before…I want the statistics for that. You should be able to get this from Wuya."

Shenyuan laughs a bit and replies, "This dragon of antiquity can get anything from a woman as long as my tail is working well which it is always doing!" Hei coldly looks at the dragon, "You're a bastard, a shameless bastard. That Hidden Dragon Sect Master might be your kid with how he is behaving."

Shenyuan shakes his head with a wronged expression. "That dragon is a little bitch that cannot be compared to this dragon of antiquity. As a gentle dragon, who is even gentler than the mist coving a nymph's body, I cannot be compared to that bastard. I would never force a woman into submission. That's just being a scumbag right there."

Hei looks on the dragon in clear disbelief. This causes the dragon to shake his head, feeling wronged. "I swear under the heavens, I've never forced a woman into anything! It's always my charms that win them over~ The dragon smiles shamelessly as it seems to remember a terrifying number of memories related to his 'charms'.
