"Father, that Young Master Tianxiong…is it just me or is it possible that he is a close relative of Liu Hei? His current visage seems quite similar to him. Only his bearing and level of strength is different. He even uses a similar weapon to him but the one is even more powerful and dreadful…I think as a clan, we should stay far from…"

Xing Zhu interjects instantly, "Alright, you can shut up now. You caused a lot of trouble already. Now you can at least learn from this and improve yourself. There is no Young Master Tianxiong, okay? Use your brain and figure things out on your own. You will continue to participate in the clan's mission and you will complete it with great results."

"Furthermore, you will at least improve to the point where you can battle an immortal. If you cannot even perform this, then your chances of becoming the person in line for Clan Leader is impossible. That little wolf is quite fearsome. She is perceptive and calm."

"While she might seem emotional, in truth, she can analyze things quickly and use it to her advantage. She knows when to retreat and when to advance. She is one of the biggest competitions out there for you."

"And try to control that temper of yours. You said many things which not only made your situation worse but probably made that child think negatively of us. I am not saying you should curry favors or bootlick but you should also know what kind of behavior is appropriate for each situation."

Xing Yinghua looks at her father, half pondering and half frowning. "Yes father…I will improve." Xing Gan pats her daughter on the shoulder. "Don't worry too much, you're talented. Just act upon what your heart tells you. If by chance you really fall off course, then only us can be blamed for not raising you properly…."

"We will be returning to the clan. You should focus on training." Xing Gan hands Yinghua a simple teleportation token. "Use that get back to the Nameless Sect. Try to go over your experience and learn from it. See you at the end of the war. It has just begun. Remember, your life is important, do not throw it away randomly for things like 'love'. With the death of that kid, the true war will erupt soon."

Xing Yinghua nods with a slightly contorted face. "I am off now…thank you Mother, Father." Without waiting for a reply, she quickly activates the teleportation token, vanishing quickly. The Xing couple turns their heads in the direction of the Nameless Sect.

A slight look of humor can be seen on their faces as Xing Gan comments, "Silly girl, she hates the person who saved her but respects and fears him at the same time." Xing Zhu nods, "She will just have to deal with this. If she can't, then there is no need for her to become an elder or run to eventually become next in line to lead the clan. Talent alone can take you so far…"

As Hei continues to walk towards the Nameless Sect, Elder Kongxiang laughs a bit as he asks, "Hei Young…I mean…Young Hei, when do you plan…plan on coming out of that form? Is energy draining not?"

He staggers as he walks but his footsteps are able to keep up with Hei's massive steps. His movement technique seems quite unpredictable and casual as he moves.

If Hei is considered fast due to the high levels of insight from his astral spirits' teachings coupled with pure speed, then Elder Kongxiang's movement technique is simply unpredictable and fast. Those drunken steps and constant swaying could confuse the senses of almost anyone.

Hei casually replies, "I didn't remember…and my energy reserves are quite fine. I feel quite normal actually." His tattered cape wraps around his hand and devours Weilan's body. Hei slowly shrinks as his body reverts to his normal human form. "But I guess we should be a bit low key."

Elder Kongxiang nods as appreciation can be seen in his eyes. "Demon Monarch needs strong supporters…Soul…Soul Refinement, you are there?" Elder Kongxiang continues to launch his movement technique in a casual manner which forces Hei to follow quickly.

His casual drunken movements actually force Hei to use all his energy to keep up. "Demon Monarch…what does that cat really want?"

Elder Kongxiang's voice gets slighter more refined. "While you might not know it…Demon society is more organized than others think. Demon Monarch is not just a name or title; it is a representation of power and the entire race. Within Demon society, we have many sects and clans but they all fall under one main branch of powers known as 72 Pillars Demon Monarchy.

"All demons possess a name related to one of the Pillars, even if they do not use it at all times…However, within the 72 Pillars Demon Monarch, there are 7 main leaders which can come from any of the 72 Pillars."

"These main leaders are all given titles and are known as the 7 Monarchs. Their power and prestige represents the entire Demon race. Lucifer, Beelzebub, Satan, Abaddon, Mammon, Belphegor and Asmodeus are the 7 tittles. They are ranked in that order and the Demon Monarch is always Lucifer."

Hei nods as he listens carefully. "Naturally there are 7 instead of 6 or 8 so a majority vote can happen for issues. However, the reason our society is in shambles right now is because of one of the 72 Pillars and the current Beelzebub."

"Around 7 years ago, a Demon appeared which should have been dead. He was apparently sealed many years ago. While he is still recovering and is at most a Celestial Emperor, with his ancient knowledge and terrible legends, he is able to take over many forces of power."

"Upon return, he was able to take the title of Beelzebub with the majority of votes from 72 Pillars going his way. He was once a patriarch of the third most power pillar, Beleth. Not only did he completely retake his pillar, he managed to draw many allies over."

"When he defeated the previous Beelzebub, he was easily voted in as the new Monarch Beelzebub. With that, he is slowly gathering power to become the new Demon Monarch. He wants to become Monarch Lucifer!"

"While our current Monarch Lucifer can easily kill him and even possibly defeat him at peak, the problem is the strength of his forces not being extremely powerful. His individual power has caused them to get complacent."

"Monarch Beelzebub is personally making his power grow so he can one day challenge the prestige of Demon Monarch to the extent where he will be demoted… While his pillar did not possess shocking talents, with his ancient knowledge, many things lost to society are being resurrected. He has increased the talents of his pillar without too big a cost. With that, many other pillars are siding with him."

"In the next 100 years, Demon Monarch could be replaced with him. The problem is not the change of a leader…It's what this new leader will do. He will definitely go to war with other races and try to conquer everything under the heavens."

"He believes the reason no more God Step cultivators are here is because things are too peaceful. He even constantly states that he knows the method to enter God Step and claims he was sealed because he was going to breakthrough."

"Coming from a time of pure war and carnage, he has seen the rise and fall of many. He also has made contact with 2 powerful clans in the Human world who is willing to help him fight the rest of humanity so as long as they remain the only Human clans to exist after the war!"

"Naturally he promised to make a contract with them when he gains control of 72 Pillars! Alright…this is too much…I need to drink again before I can continue."

Hei silently observes this old drunkard making large gulps as he drinks more alcohol as if he was thirsty. However, Hei remembers a story he heard before and cannot help but wonder if this is the same person.

He thinks to himself, "That Demon 'He' spoke of…could it be him? Demon from ancient times…about 7 years ago…It is highly like it is…Furthermore, he is now allying with 2 powerful Human clans…I dare not guess the clans."

"Bastards…they probably want to sacrifice the lives of the rest of clans to plunder resources. Furthermore, that bastard probably promised them he would tell the secrets of entering God Step."

Elder Kongxiang finally stops and nods, "Good moonshine…" "Where was I? How do I get back to that part again?" Hei shakes his head as he curiously asks, "So what exactly does he want me to do?"

"Oh yeah, yeah, that part. Based on what I can understand, Demon Monarch wants your talent to help stabilize his side. With your potential and the terrifying destiny upon your body, you could possibly make things go into his favor."

"He has been told by a great sage that if he can overcome this obstacle, then the Demon race will flourish for another billion years easily and even produce a God Step cultivator."

He sighs a bit, "I do not know the exact details on how Demon Monarch would like for you to help him but I do know it will be something related to being a Monarch." Hei nods as he thinks, "So that black cat wants me to basically flaunt my talent and help uplift his prestige. I should also basically help out some of his bastard forces from the younger generation like his daughter too."

"It sounds easy but there are probably a lot of risks. I should probably wait until I breakthrough before I go there. After this war, I should be strong enough to give a bit of help."

Looking at this drunkard of an elder, Hei asks, "If that is the case, then does that mean for the entire time, I will have to appear as a demon? Do I need to be arrogant and narcissistic?" Elder Kongxiang laughs heartily, "You little kid…you just want to do that, don't you?"

"Never mind that, you just need to act in a manner that can gain the respect of others. In our society, might is right and power makes you a tower. Everyone looks up to the strong. Your potential will mean a lot but your direct strength is even more important. If you can create the perfect balance between both, then the Demon Monarch can in fact suppress this ancient fart from making the Demon society stink."

"The old fart's motto is, 'Let's make 72 Pillars great again'. He makes it sound like we aren't great right now. I would have preferred if he said greater and removed the again if you ask me."

Hei laugh a bit, "Then if that's the case, why does that black cat allow him to slowly recuperate and gather forces? If he can easily end his life, then why not do it? Is he afraid of the persons who were promised things by the old fart will rebel?"

Elder Kongxiang laughs a bit, "Not just that, but Demon Monarch would prefer another expert alive for our race than to simply kill him. Furthermore, if he were to kill him, then even the persons on his side will feel fear that the Demon Monarch is just a tyrant." "

He is not only Monarch Beelzebub but also a Pillar Leader. It's the 3rd ranked one too. His life means too much to the society at the moment for him to be killed off like that."

Hei shakes his head, "Based on what you said, I guess the Demon Monarch did research and found out about my original clan. Then he wanted to take it up with them but then found out about me and updated his plans?"

Elder Kongxiang smiles faintly, "About that, it's more complicated than you think. Ask him when you get the chance!" He smiles mysteriously as he increases his speed to disappear from Hei's sight.

Hei chases after him but is unable to catch up to his shadow. "Damn it…that old bastard! I will one day surpass your speed you geezer."
