35 Constellations of The Clan

"Seems as a dragon of antiquity…I will have to actually obey this kid…what kind of force could have given birth to such a monster? The heavens certainly did something unfair with his birth…look on how many spirits are associated with his physique and even has an entire dimension…and he evens physically goes there now! Fuck it…he won…maybe I can really benefit from this…Hehehe"

The dragon's face which was depressed before seems a bit better as it thinks of the benefits that could be garnered. Hei looks towards the sky of these 'Dark Lands' and thinks to himself, "Refining this sword will give me an incredible boost to my battle efficiency. Sadly, it cannot be refined by me as yet…soon…very soon, I'll refine you little sword…then let you experience a glory that no one else could let you enjoy!"

Both of them seem to have their own thoughts but what they do not know is that in the entire clan, Hei is actually being discussed constantly. While many do not know his actual name or appearance, some of the higher-ups have heard of his recruitment. Coupled with these out of the world feats which took place less than a week ago…Hei has become the number one topic of the clan!

Hei finally looks to the dragon that seems to be in a shameless fantasy. His face has a slight blush on it along with his eyes being glazed with a lustful and perverted light. "Shameless bastard…quit your weird fantasizing and let's go. We've been in here for a while now. Time to gain some experience and also make sure those bastards stay away from this sword."

The dragons face instantly turns into one of pain as it looks on Hei in dismay. "This sword…you shouldn't take it. It was a gift to this dragon of antiquity by the only girl I loved…please do not let me separate with it…" With a look of sincerity, the dragon almost cries as it begs Hei to not take his sword away.

Hei looks on it and has a face of sadness. It seems that Hei finally understood what the dragon feels. "Yeah…It was given to this dragon of antiquity as a way to remember my one true love…right before she died…This dragon of antiquity really loved her…please…let it stay with me…I might not have the capital to repair it but at least i can carry it around with me…"

The look of sadness and understanding on Hei's face seem to increase. An apologetic face is made by Hei as he shakes his head. The dragon nods as he thinks to himself, "Hehehe, you might have the most talent the heavens can issue but it doesn't mean you're the most intelligent and experienced! Hehehe, silly kid, you think this dragon of antiquity will let you have my Galactic Sword?"

Hei's face of apology is cleanly wiped from his face as he sneers. "You think I will really let you have to sword? Little shameless bastard of a dragon, don't forget that you were holding out on multiple things when it was for your own benefit. Don't forget that in this deal, you still haven't served a single purpose!"

The dragon opens his eyes wide but quickly recovers. "Hehehe, don't worry kiddo…This dragon of antiquity will be a good little dragon. The sword is yours!" Hei doesn't look back on the dragon and coldly replies, "You better keep yourself under control when we go outside…or else…"

"Furthermore, if anyone asks, you're my servant. Finally, don't you dare shameless create trouble with women in my presence. Think I don't see those lust filled eyes of your?" The dragon has a look of being wronged as it shakes its head, "You're wrong…this dragon of antiquity is just a little kid right now…I would never try anything!"

Hei scoffs at the dragons words and pulls over his hoodie. "Let's go see what is happening outside. Besides, I haven't gotten anything related to the clan as yet. I was supposed to just check what is happening in her…that is all. If they ask, tell them we found a few treasures from here to help with our rituals."

The dragon nods in agreement as a slightly serious expression can be seen on his face. "He is right…He might be a kid but he isn't as naive as he is expected to be." Hei walks off casually as he makes his way towards the exit of these 'Dark Lands'. The dragon hurriedly follows suit and fixes his dark robe to look a bit tidy.

They both step through the exit and what greets them is unexpectedly a clear area. No one seems to be watching this area. Not even a single divine sense can be felt lingering here. This surprises Hei as he nods slightly in appreciation. "Seems they aren't too cautious about what happened…" Hei looks left and right on his neighbor's homes and cannot help but take 2 more glances at the constellations above their homes.

"Hmm, those constellations are not too bad…Maybe I will make one in this area after I remove the sword…" The dragon looks on the various constellations and a slightly greedy expression can be seen in his eyes as it looks on a specific constellation. Hei follows his line of sight and notices that the dragon is actually staring on a dragon shaped constellation.

This dragon seems to give off a powerful and majestic feeling. However, unlike many of the constellations which are sprinkling starlight towards a location, this is actually just there floating in the sky. A slightly desolate and lonely aura can be felt from it. A few other constellations are similar to it as well.

"Those constellations which are not releasing energy are like that because no one has gotten inheritance skills or resources from them…Basically, no inheritor is currently alive for them!" The greed in the eyes of the dragon seems to increase just from stating this fact. He licks his lips and stares at the dragon in the sky.

"Even when I was at my prime…I never got the chance to enter that area. I was somehow not suited to it because of age. But now, things are different! This dragon of antiquity has a new body and soul!" Hei looks on the constellation once more but isn't too interested in it.

"You probably look down on it but to me, it holds many valuable things! These constellations have many resources in them which are extinct right now! Furthermore, they have various arts and knowledge which can be passed on. But…the best part isn't that…It's actually the fact that you will be recognized by the clan and gain many advantages when you're the only inheritor of constellation! Heavenly Beast Draco…I want his inheritance!"

"Even among dragons…Heavenly Beast Draco was extremely powerful…a dragon above most dragons! Even this dragon of antiquity would have been no match for the original Heavenly Beast Draco!" A rare look of awe and respect can be seen deep within Long Shenyuan's eyes as he stares at the constellation of Draco!

Hei laughs a bit and nonchalantly replies, "I do not want to learn any techniques from these constellations but if I can plunder a few for resources then sure, why not? If they are as good as you say then I shall make use of a few…Hehehe"

"Anyways, you have been here for a number of years…thus you should know where certain things are located. Where should be the first place I visit?" The dragon nods with pride and says, "Well, due to dragon of antiquity's wisdom and experience, you will be unable to get lost! Furthermore…"

Hei snappily interjects, "Just get to it already…" The dragon unhappily looks on Hei and replies, "Just go to the Administration Division and we can become official members of the clan." The dragon walks in front of Hei as he shamelessly smiles. "Unfortunately, only I know the way so follow this dragon of antiquity kiddo."

It swaggers off in a carefree manner as it begins to hum a rather shamelessly pervert song about being 'sent to heaven'. Hei's left eye twitches as he thinks to himself, "Can this dragon get any worse?" As they both walk on the stone pathways which give off a simple but ancient feeling, many clansmen observe Hei and Long Shenyuan.

Due to being unfamiliar with these faces, they automatically assume that they are new recruits to clan. Furthermore, with Long Shenyuan's carefree attitude and obvious attitude of knowing where he is going, they automatically write them off as normal persons.

Many simple courtyards can be seen scattered all over the land. Some of these are much larger than others. Various constellations actually sprinkle starlight over multiple courtyards which are close to each. Hei looks on them as he passes on the pathway. "Some constellations have multiple inheritors so they generally live next to each other to share the starlight."

"Another thing is that some constellations can be easily connected to depending on your bloodline. This is because the original ancestor's bloodline of that specific constellation runs through those persons. So many times, small households all live in a section under a constellation."

"They even marry others who are able to connect to the constellation too or persons similar to them in regards to a constellation which shares borders with them…expanding their household's strength and area covered."

Hei nods with understanding. "That is to say that there are many internal struggles happening. The fight for power in the clan…the more power one has…the more resources one will have. Simple, isn't it?"

Hei replies, "That is simple indeed. More resources mean one can nurture more cultivators. Everyone accepts this internal competition so as long as everyone unites when it is an external issue that needs to be resolved."

The dragon nods in agreement. "That is how beasts are for the most part. While they are willing to fight for resources, whenever it is time for their group to fight together, not the slightest of hesitation is present. If dumb humanity was this smart, they would be more developed! Unfortunately, they will simply wait until the brink of defeat to unite."

Hei silently listen's to the dragon's words, thinking a bit about what he just said about humans. "Whatever, back to these constellations…What you should also know is that whenever a constellation has finally gotten an inheritor, it will determine to what level you are an inheritor."

"One can either be an Outer Inheritor, Inner Inheritor or Core Inheritor. Very rarely you will find True Inheritors. There are a set number of slots for each. Depending on the constellation, this will be stipulated. However, only one True Inheritor can exist at a time. When that one dies, then another can appear."

"Oh? Something like that existed? I wonder who was able to devise such a complex system of inheritance…This Beast Constellation Clan really is sophisticated." Hei pensively looks at the various constellations. "Unfortunately, the constellations related to anything I would want are already occupied a bit."

The dragon shakes its head. "So what? You think it's that simple? Something this dragon of antiquity didn't say is that if a True Inheritor so decides it…they can kick all the other inheritors! Hehehe, its fucked up but that's how it is. Unless they defeat the True Inheritor in battle, the constellation will literally sever their connection to it!"

Hei laughs a bit as a slightly sinister smile can be seen on his face. "Basically, all I have to do is become the True Inheritor and I can kick many. This is exciting."

As they walk, they notice that the pathway branches off into 2 directions. "Both pathways can be used to go to our destination. The one on the left leads you through the clan's market while the other leads you through the weapon refinement section. Where do you wanna go through evil kiddo? Hei thinks for a bit before he replies casually, "Weapon refinement doesn't sound too bad...."
