The spirit's body turns into that of a cheetah. He watches without blinking and notices the muscles of the cheetah actually gather powerful energies but in a perfectly circulated manner. Furthermore, the posture the cheetah in seems to possess an indiscernible charm. The pitch black barely growls and launches itself at terrifying speeds. It moved so fast that it takes a few seconds before a sound is even heard and it's after shadow fades after a few moments.
The cheetah runs in a straight line which looks quite simple at first. It continues to run forward and backward. The more Hei observes, the more he notices that it is not simply running. The way how the muscles release energy and gather it again, the spinal movement, the paws, the tail movement, the steady head, everything seems to be in perfect sync with each other.
This somehow maximizes the speed in which the cheetah can actually reach. Furthermore, Hei notices that this speed is not acquired over a long period of time. It can be easily activated and stopped relatively quickly too, maintaining a sense of control over the speed.
Hei nods as he thinks about the movements of the cheetah and how each aspect seems to be harmony with each other. "How about the flight Master? This will prove beneficial when you beginning flying." The cheetah actually transforms into a demonic peregrine falcon of a pitch black color.
It maintains the same relative size of the cheetah. It slowly says, "Master, this form is for the skies; soaring through the skies even faster than normal." The demonic falcon's black wings slowly widen as it makes a gentle flap. This flap actually takes it hundreds of miles into the air. With a few more flaps, it seems to circle the skies faster than any before seen bird.
This falcon actually flaps its wings gently instead of using a massive amount of force. Its feathers seem to slightly adjust as it constantly shifts in the air. Each flap seems to actually not just increase the speed but also help with modifying the direction in which is move! Hei stands there staring at the falcon as it flies constantly at accelerated speeds. The way it moves seems to show that not restricts it at all in the sky.
After a few minutes of flight, it returns to the ground. "Master, spread your sense to the sea. This one here will show you what it means to swim at high speeds." Hei spreads his senses towards the sea and notices that a black sailfish calmly swims close to the shore lines. "How…This spirit is extremely fast…a speed demon among speed demons…"
Hei couldn't help but mutter to himself. The demon spirit's voice rings out, "Master, observe carefully." The black demonic sailfish wiggles its fins and swims off at extreme speeds. Hei observes with a dumfounded face. "All there aspects…and he doesn't even slightly lack in each. Furthermore…this fish isn't even moving at full speed…incredible."
The black fish's fins all seem to come alive and work in synch to actually direct it while delivering bursts of speed. What is more impressive is that even the scales on the fish seem to work in sync with the fins to help reduce resistance in water to nothing. The fish swims around for a few moments before returning to the shore. It quickly transforms into a cheetah and as if it teleported, appears before Hei once more.
"Did you get all 3 Master?" Hei nods with appreciation, "Incredible…simply marvelous…who knew that the concept of speed and movement were this profound…It will take me some time to fully digest everything but it was excellent work. Thank you…A name…I need a name for you. How about Yidong?"
"Yes Master! From now on, I shall be called Move! Excellent name Master!" The spirit excitedly nods as a sense of appreciation and happiness can be seen flashing through its eyes. The other spirit clears its throat and says, "Master…this one here will teach you the basics of techniques, please accept my guidance."
Hei nods, "Then let's do it…Jishu" The spirit nods, "Yes Master…I am technique…Thank you for the name." Yidong stands to the side and allows Jishu to take the stage. "All techniques are the same Master. No matter what, every technique fundamentally is related. The differences are simple aspects such as the desired effect, the elements used and the overall concepts and usage of the technique."
"No matter what, no weapon technique or fighting skill is superior to the other. It is simply how one uses this technique that makes the difference. Something persons commonly mistake is that each weapon has a different manner of being used. Thus, the techniques used are different for each weapon. Fundamentally, each technique is the same so there is no change in how the technique is fundamentally."
"The difference is simply the channel the technique is being done. This means someone with a sword can do the same techniques with a spear, the difference is that the medium being used will make the outcome a bit different."
Hei asks with a bit of interest, "Based on what you're saying, one could use a sword technique with a hammer even though they are of different classifications?" Jishu nods, "A hammer can be swift and sharp. Hammers can pierce too. It simply means that one must modify how the energy is used to achieve this. Even a palm can be as heavy as a hammer or sharp as a sword. It can even be as piercing and sharp as a spear"
Where hands should be, they transform into 2 whips. Jishu waves these whips casually. A supreme tearing force can be felt from the whips as they crack as loud as thunder. "That is the usual characteristics of a whip…but what about adding sword characteristics, that is, a simple sword technique?"
Jishu waves the whip, similar to slashing with a sword. Surprisingly, instead of moving in a constant curve, the whip seems to be straighter and emits a sharpness which seems to be able to slash through anything. Hei looks with fascination as he nods.
He stops and calmly says, "What about the whip becoming a spear?" He holds the whip again and energy seems to run through the whip, turning it a bit straighter and more forceful. He waves the whip again and for some reason, the energy running through it doesn't increase its tearing or cutting speed. Instead, all the energy seems to gather at the time when it reaches its full length, emitting a terrifying piercing and sharp force.
"Simply marvelous…This is heavenly…heavenly comprehensions one cannot hope to think of on their own…" Hei couldn't help but praise Jishu which seems to make it nod in appreciation of the praises. "The secret to any technique is knowing what you want to do and what you have to make this happen."
Hei's eyes flash with understanding as he nods, "I know what I must do now. Thanks both of you, I really appreciate it." Both spirits nod as they slowly disappear. Hei smiles with a sinister look on his face. Bastard shameless dragon, I'll make sure you beg for mercy. How dare you flaunt your little power which I gave to you?"
Hei thinks to himself, "I have a bloodline which is thunder-fire related and my physique is darkness related. This means that these 3 are my main elements which will affect the techniques I use. Therefore, that is the first step. The second step should be the understanding of the general characteristics governing these laws…And I know how to do that the best!"
Hei slowly releases energy and begins drawing inscriptions, one at a time as he slowly writes his first name. After he finishes, he calmly sits and observes the word. "Black…the epitome of darkness…it seems nonexistent but it exists for sure…It seems to consume everything and moves without a sound…or sense…this should be perfect for concealing too…overwhelming everything with a desire to devour all light…that is darkness…that is black!"
He releases this astral inscription word for Hei. He slowly draws the words 'Thunder' and 'Fire'. He calmly observes the Thunder inscription word first. This inscription seems to give off not just the pure lightning but the crackling loud and ferocious sound of thunder.
This inscription seems to be filled with endless erratic energy. "Lightning is ferocious and erratic…The movement of lightning creates thunder. Both are related. Thunder itself can be sound or physically used. Lightning can be used to not just tear and destroy but energize."
Hei once again looks on an inscription word. This word is for 'Fire'. He stares at it as a terrible heat is emitted from it. "Fire has not only the desire to burn but it can also produce light. However, I am certain that black fire exists…which means that a fire is not dependent on the fact that light must be present. This means that from there is heat…then fire exists. As long as something is there to fuel it…then fire is formed."
Hei constantly writes the characters for Thunder, Fire and Black. He closes his eyes as he envisions every single astral inscription word he writes. Every time he writes a word, it seems as if the properties of each word are imprinted within his mind. He continues in this state for over 10 hours.
Once he stops, fatigue can be seen on his face but thousands of each word actually floats in front of him. He stares dumfounded at the thousands of words and thinks to himself, "I wrote all of these? Well…wait a minute…if the laws can be represented using Astral Inscriptions…then what if I used Astral Inscriptions in tandem with techniques to fuel the strength of the technique? That would be going a step further than simply using the properties of the various elements and laws!"
Hei nods to himself as a slightly crazed look appears in his eyes. He gets up and thinks of the movement technique and dark vortex technique the dragon used. He laughs to himself in shame as he says, "I can't believe I used such a trashy technique. I have stained myself."
He slowly thinks, "Before, I only made my physique 'corrupt' my bloodline energy to make black fire and black lighting. But this isn't necessary! That's a waste of energy! Then let me try this…" Hei forms some darkness and actually uses it to ignite a fire. Instead of simply making fire and using darkness on it, he actually…burned darkness itself as a fuel for this fire!
Without much reaction, a simple flame appears inside Hei's hand. This flame seems to swallow all light and heat around it. Not even the slightest bit of heat can be felt from it. However, space seems like it would melt and burn at any time under the small and gentle looking black flame.
This flame gently flutters as it seems to slowly increase in power just by existing. Hei nods to himself as sharpness can be seen in his eyes, "This flame…if I'm not mistaken…it will swallow all light to get stronger…due to its nature. But it will also feed of darkness since that was the original fuel for it! This fire…is pure darkness itself!"
In his next hand, Hei creates lightning. Instead of making lightning then channeling darkness into it, he actually makes the lightning create charged particles itself to form a bolt of lightning. This lightning surprisingly isn't releasing much thunder or even the sound of crackling. While it appears crackling, it also has a slight flutter to it, similar to darkness. This lightning does not give off much light either as if it were darkness itself.
Looking at it, there doesn't seem to be any danger from it. However, space around it seems to just about to be torn apart. Furthermore, the lightning seems to devour everything around it just like darkness.
Hei carefully brings both hands together, releasing his bloodline energy to let the 2 powers mingle. Due to the nature of his bloodline and the fact that both elements were born from darkness itself, it seems this affected them. They actually easily come together as if they were naturally harmonious in the first place.
A small black orb of energy can be seen in Hei's hand. It flutters a bit but within this flutter, a crackling can be seen. This flutter seems quite erratic and strange. Hei nods to himself and smiles evilly, "Well, it seems I have discovered something…fascinating!"
