42 A Small Secret

Many of the cultivators are just a few meters and they clearly hear Hei's words. The gigantic spear seems to release a pressure greater than a mountain. The Umbra Thunder-Fire law energy around it gently flutters and crackles, seeming quite harmless and simple.

Hei casually beckons with his hand which causes the giant spear to slowly rise from the ground. Its spear point positions itself straight at him. Flicking a finger, Hei calls the spear towards him. It whistles in the air, rubbing against space itself. Its gigantic figure slowly shrinks as it closes in.

By the time it is in front of Hei, it has already transformed into a small brick. Hei calmly catches it and puts it into his clothes. Just as he is about to turn around, all 4 persons of the same clan sense a towering energy slowly walking towards them.

This energy seems to come from a being which stands as tall as the sky, higher than any mountain peak. From behind them a calm and pleasant female voice is heard, "Little Brother, why are you a member of the Constellation Beast Clan? Us Colossans should stick together after all."

However, before Hei and the other can even turn around, another powerful energy with a sinister and savage voice rings out, "Yo kiddo, you plan on being around some beasts your entire life? Come be with us demons and let's conquer the heavens."

From another place, a tranquil voice of a male calmly says, "The Nameless Sect always welcome powerful humans, how about it Little One?" Hei naturally realizes that all these persons are speaking about him without even realizing. He looks forward without turning around.

In his mind, he casually comments, "Seems they have realized. Well, it's not like I did not anticipate this would happen. However, I always imagined it would be a few years later."

Long Shenyuan's eyes shine bright with interest. He smirks as he looks on Hei, waiting for his reply. Both Xing Yinghua and Xing Lang look behind them and then on Long Shenyuan and Hei with curious expressions on their faces.

Seeing their faces, Long Shenyuan does the shameless thing and steps aside. "Naturally they aren't talking about this dragon of antiquity. Obviously this one here is a genuine dragon." Both girls look on Hei. Hei slowly turns around facing everyone's gazes.

He seems quite composed as if nothing is related to him and everything is just fine. However, in his mind, he thinks, "I wonder what they will do. Will I have to leave here and destroy a few clans and sects in the future or not? The list is building."

The first to speak is the human. This human appears quite collected and slightly confident. "Young Liu Hei I believe, you did great work, we should speak once we arrive at the clan. Humans should stick together in a world filled with most another race."

The demonic male crudely yawns, "Don't jump to conclusions. Are you blind? Clearly this Hei is a dark and sinister demon. Look on his tactics and aura. All he is left to do is revert to his demonic form."

However, at this moment, the female Colossan laughs with a mesmerizing tone, "Calm down gentlemen, please? He is definitely a Colossan. Look on his physical appearance, size of Astral Spirits and weapon. Even his Inscriptions are above average. Are you both not able to see what race he is truly from?"

Xing Lang looks on Hei carefully and utters, "You're a beast…That is obvious…What are they talking about?" Xing Yinghua however doesn't say anything to Hei. She coldly looks on him with suspicion in her eyes. Furthermore, she even takes a few steps away from him in retreat as if she saw some sort of stranger or unknown creature.

Hei was just about to say something when the voice of Senior Brother Lee rings out. "Everyone, retreat for now. We have enough ingredients." Many persons begin congregating once more as they prepare to head out quickly from this zone of battle.

In an orderly fashion, everyone who is able to begins launching their movement techniques at full speed. Upon exiting the battle zone, Senior Brother Lee stops and rips open a gigantic rift in space. The Colossan female who spoke before walks to the front and forms many Astral Inscriptions.

These inscriptions are then infused into the rift. Very quickly, the rift is converted into an astral gate. Many of the disciples look in shock and awe at how easy the astral gate was formed. Senior Brother Lee commands, "Everyone enter, I will stand back and guard."

Persons begin entering quickly as they are teleported back to the Nameless Sect. Due to being on the front originally, Hei is now at the back with some of his fellow clan members. He looks on the rift and astral inscriptions and narrows his eyes. He allows everyone to exit the battle zone, leaving him being. Senior Brother Lee looks on him as he gestures for him to enter.

However, Hei continues to stare at the astral gate made from the spatial rift and astral inscriptions. As if trying to confirm something, he even walks close to it but doesn't enter. The Colossan female observes Hei suspiciously then slowly says in a slightly uncertain voice, "Are you trying to comprehend making astral gates using inscriptions?"

Hei doesn't reply as he stares at the gate. He takes out his brick and turns it into a short sword. Then very carefully, he begins extending the sword's blade to pass through the astral gate. He closes his eyes as if sensing for something.

Senior Brother Lee's face however is calm and composed as he looks in the distance. "It seems reinforcements for the enemy are approaching. You should probably hurry this up. A few more seconds and they will be in attacking zone."

Hei senses for a bit and then opens his eyes. He nods with 'gratitude' and retracts the sword as he walks into the astral gate. The Colossan laughs a bit as she shakes her head. She seems quite amused by Hei's actions. She looks on Senior Brother Lee and walks into the astral gate. He takes out his dual knives.

Pure energy can be felt slowly gathering on the blades of the knives as he makes a dual slash in the shape of the letter 'X' that travels out in the distance. Space seems to be ignored as this attack flies off into the distance. He laughs a bit as he enters the astral gate.

On the other side, the Colossan female closes the astral gate upon Senior Brother Lee's return. However, upon return, he is actually greeted by the curses of a young female being channeled towards the emotionless Hei.

This blonde haired but extremely beautiful princess of ice seems to burn with anger as she glares at Hei. "How dare you sick bastard? Watch where you are pointing your sword or you will regret it." Hei unfortunately doesn't seem to care at all. "I did say sorry. Obviously it's an accident that the sword almost stabbed you. Furthermore, almost is far from actually doing it."

A wild and evil laugh echoes out from far, "That's the logic of a demon. I told you all he was one of us!" The demonic male dressed in a dark purple battle suit laughs as his demonic aura seem to flare in excitement.

However, the female Colossan scoffs as if she heard a silly joke which doesn't deserve a laugh. "I'm telling you he is a Colossan." The human male calmly shakes his head in disapproval, "He is certainly human. Notice even now, he has never once transformed into a Beast, Demon or Colossan? You're all mistaken."

Many of the persons who returned from the battle just now observe from various places as multiple persons silently voice their thoughts. A human girl looks on Hei and comments, "Such a cute little kid. He's definitely a peak human genius…"

However, a male from the Beast Constellation Clan shakes his head, "He's a beast and my bloodline says so without a doubt. As a beast, don't you know I can tell a beast when I see one?" A demonic female however laughs in disdain. "Your bloodline and eyes are lacking. My demonic eyes tell me he is a sinister demon in human form. His demonic form should be quite monstrous."

Like this, many persons seem to voice their concerns, but Hei doesn't seem too bothered about this. Instead, he calmly thinks of what to use to respond to their questions which will definitely follow soon. Senior Brother Lee finally cannot deal with all the bantering and says, "Everyone, be quiet for a moment."

"Have you all not noticed what is happening?" He sweeps his calm and heroic gaze over everyone that seems to let them relax a bit and think. "You all should realize it by now. Everyone says he is from their race which means he is somehow able to let a race think he is one of them."

Senior Brother Lee seems to say it in a simple manner, but the shock which reverberates through the masses is quite shocking. Xing Wuya who was just arriving to check on the clan members overheard everything and stands there puzzled.

From afar, the Nameless Patriarch lies down in her bed lazily as she listens in on everything happening in her sect. A small smile filled with the interest of a young lady blooms on her face. "My sect is so lively due to that little arrogant lizard. I've gained some unique allies." She giggles a bit as she continues to pry in the happenings.

Senior Brother Lee looks on Hei with a 'matter of fact' tone as if he definitely hit the nail right on the head. He fixes his glasses a bit, looking like a heroic scholar from the mortal realm. His confident smiles sways the hearts of many, making them believe his words are 100% true, whether Hei denies them or not.

Hei looks to the sky with a slight sigh. No one understands what he is doing or if he is trying to be mysterious. He thinks out loud, "What is a race? Hmmm…Is race important when death approaches. Unless one is able to cultivate to the peak of existence then go beyond it, what use is your 'race'?"

Many persons stare with dumbfounded looks as they observe this 6 year old that seems philosophical and sage like. An indescribable feeling of longing and will to cultivate slowly awakens in the heart of many. However, at this time, the shameless Long Shenyuan gives out, "Just tell us your race and stop trying to be cheeky ya little bastard."

Hei glances at him with a slight smile. To normal persons, this smile seems kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, the Shenyuan, this smile is one from the Grim Reaper himself telling him his days in this world are numbered in the tens.

However, his curiosity makes him stay a bit calm on the surface along with the fact that the question is asked would eventually be directed at him. "What is my race you ask? I am from no race. There you all go, my secret is out."

Everyone stares at Hei; the faces of many are actually unaccepting of this answer. Senior Brother Lee laughs a bit. "What do you mean by you are of no race? Don't tell me that you're simply an amalgamation of multiple races. I find that unlikely…"

Hei shakes his head, "I am from none of the races. Due to this, I am registered as the same race to all of you. However, I am not exactly from any specific race. It is that simple really. Nothing much I can say to explain. If you're all still curious, pay me and I will talk."

With a sarcastic tone Hei continues, "It's A Small Secret just so you all know..."
