The Awakening

Once Lorcan had dealt with the clones that Briar left behind, he immediately went after Rowan. It took him a long time to finally find him in the alley. Rowan was sitting on the ground with his back leaning on the wall. He has his head tilted upward as he catches his breath.

When Lorcan came near him, he found his face filled with bruises, his nose broken, he had cuts on his lips, swollen eyes, and fresh blood dripping not just on his hair but on the corner of his lips as well. 

Briar was beside Rowan unconscious and not looking better than Rowan. Briar though was seemingly dead. 

Lorcan frowned and asked, "Did you kill him?"

"I guess so," Rowan answered as he glanced at the man beside him then he looked up at his younger brother through his swollen eyes.
