Left with Questions

"I brought you some books," Briony said as she stepped inside the cell. It has been weeks since she started visiting Dr. Aldrich Hinsen in his cell. It was the tenth time now.

She walked towards the bed where there was a shelf over it and started to fill them with books. There were other shelves there but she had already filled them with books that she brought with her every time she visits him. 

"Have you read those?" She asked but she received no response which she was not surprised at all. It seems that Dr. Aldrich was adamant about keeping his impassive expression on her. 

Except for the first day that she visited him, he never talks to her. Only replied with a yes or a no and most of the time, his responses were laced with irritation as if he wanted her to leave as soon as possible. 

He never failed to show her how unwanted her presence is.
