8 Lifebound Contract.

Blended almost perfectly with the darkness, chasing some of the soul remmants there was a little four legged figure. It fur was pitch black, and it eyes were also deprived of any color, making almost impossible to distinguish between it and the enviroment with just the naked eye. After it got close to some white specks it opened its mouth and absorbed all the specks in a little area.

Akin looked curiously at the scene unfolded before his eyes, who would thouht that after so many years the first living being he would found would be such a cute beast. Nevertheless he didn't drop his guard even a little, no matter how cute the beast was it lived in an extremely hostile enviroment and futhermore it feed itself in soul power. Such being couldn't be normal, and even recalling Habib memories he didn't get any clue, there was a remote posibility based in a random myth but just thinking about the slimmer chance in which it was real Akin shrudered. Anyways even if the little cub wasn't a big deal what about its parent?

The litttle wolf or dog, moved and Akin followed suit keeping a safe distance, it would be dangerous if he enters its den or if its parents appeared out of nowhere but it was also a huge opportunity. As this was its habit it would have a better dominion of this place than his, maybe he could get to knew things he ignored. The little beast kept walking seemly randomly but every time it stopped, it would be in a spot where the white speck condesed, it was like if the wind on purpose dropped them in those place. The cub happily absorbed the soul remmants and kept moving.

Akin followed the beast for a couple of day, even though it still ignored his existence , or at least pretended it, lately it started to become more and more cautious. Some times it even stared fixely to the place where Akin was standing but then it kept his way as if it didn't found what he was looking for. This situation lasted for a week before the cub lead Akin to an entirely desolated zone, there wasn't fire and even the cries from the soul couldn't be heard, just darkness and cold were around, besides a human and a little beast.

Suddenly the cub disappeared from Akin sight and an ominous feeling took over him, 'was his too much careless?' he wondered. Steping back and moving his head to the side, he could see his opponent, the little cub aimed for his neck intending to end the battle with just a bite. Akin was mockering himself, looks like the little cub was always aware of his existence but he was also very grateful that his opponent was the little cub and no one of its parent or a existence of similar level.

He raised his hand and was about to punch gently the little beast when it disappeared again from his sight. Weird enough he couldn't find it even using his Spiritual Sense, it was as if the cub had just vanished from existence. He moved his left leg aside and a row of teeth bited the air were his leg was standing the moment before, he then tried to kick the beast but ended kicking the air instead. The fight went on but after a dozens of hits it looked more like a cub and man playing catch than a real fight.

Both the man and the beast were incredible frustrated, 'What a elusive cub/soul' they thought. The man was simple too fast for the beast always dodging his attacks in the last moment, the beast ways were to strange for the man. As the fight moved on the beast was near and near to land a hit on Akin's body, it seemed as if he was slowing down or the little cub catching up to his pace.

Akin thought of using one of his elements before, but he was very interested in the beast disappearences, so he focused completely in the moments the little disappeared and after a long time he was able to get a glimpse of something. The cub technique was like his Starless Night, but maybe an even more refined application of soul power, it distributed the soul power evenly in an area around itself and then wrapped itself with the darkness. Combined with the cub pitch black body it was a scary combination, unless you soul power were really far beyond that of the cub and you could broke through the darkness wrapping it, all you could do was pinpoint his general location as the area in which the cub distributed its soul power. Akin observation was extremely accurate but he forgot about the spiritual energy as he himself didn't cultivate any, but his insight was enough as to make something of it in the future.

Akin was so excited with his discovery that he forgot he was in a battle, when the dreadful sensation took over him again it was too late as to dodge the incoming attack, he raised his right hand and used as a shield. The jaws closed and Akin blood sprouted, the physical pain wasn't too much but Akin had a gloomy expression, he understood that if it wasn't for the fact of his soul having a weird shape and his soul force exceeding that of the cub, that bite would have teared apart a piece of his soul.

Akin throw the cub away and it landed in the ground to some distance of him, the beast was about to attack again when it got extremely surprised, the human had just disappeared from its senses. Before it could take any action he was launch to the air, but to add more to his surprised it wasn't through physical contact but a gust of wind. The cub moved the darkness again to wrap its body but as soon as the darkness cover it a hand took it out from his technique and throw it out again.

The bullying lasted for almost an hour, and yes, this was clearly bullying, as Akin kept practicing his control over the wind and ice with the poor beast. After he ended with the cub's punishment, his heart ached while looking at the cub expression. Apologetically he moved close to the cub and extended his hand trying to pat its little head.

- I am sorry, i really went overbearing, i just....

Before he could end his excuses the little cub bited the palm of his hand again, he was about to get mad when he felt the intromission in his Soul Realm again but to his surprise this was different from the time before. Instead of invading this felt more like a gentle warm asking for entrance, his guts were telling him this was a good thing and he decided to risk and allow the warm to enter his Soul Realm. Soon a part of his soul was severed and traveled to the little cub but there wasn't any pain, more surprisingly a new star was born in his Soul Realm, in the future it would became a constellation but that was still in the time to come.

Akin looked at the cub and the later gave back a stare as well, they looked into each other eyes and could felt the familiarity, the bound. They now were two different life but just one as well.
