34 Floor Boss

"Uuurrkk!"

At the screeching sound that the lone rabbit-looking creature made, several of its kind leaped out from the near pine trees.

Their beady eyes roamed around, assessing each Paragon Knight that was gathered.

Chills crawled in Aaron William's frail body.

'Cute and small creatures are usually the deadliest, right?'

The thought had every hair of Aaron's body come to attention.

He didn't want to be frightened and he wasn't supposed to.

But with his thoughts in haywire and knowing that everything that was taking place was his fault, Aaron finds himself in a bind.

'Breathe, man. Breathe,' Aaron mentally coaxed himself.

Bang!

Liam sneakily shot the first pretentious bunny-like creature, the <Health Bar> under its feet instantly became empty as the creature's eyes glowing in red earlier gradually faded right after.

**Ding!**

[You've successfully killed a dungeon-monster]

-You've received 3 bronze coins.

"What are you guys doing, shying away from this moment? I presumed most of you are showing cockiness before, right? Then prove yourselves to me by killing as many dungeon-monsters as you can!" Liam ordered with a big, annoying sneer on his face.

"Killing the Floor Boss is not necessary to ascend to the next floor!"

"Tch! He just wants to improve his image in the Light King's eyes!"

"How ridiculous is this?!"

"I want the captain dead!"

Aaron studied his squadmates, complaining nonstop but couldn't fight Liam's orders directly more than what they already did before.

Having no choice, they utilized their anger killing monsters, which infuriated them even more knowing that they were exactly doing what Liam told them to.

'Heh, so this is what it feels like abusing my authority. I might enjoy being a scoundrel if this kept on going,' he thought with a smile, sitting crossed-legged on the ground covered with snow as he enjoyed observing his squad fight for their lives.

He didn't formulate any formation nor strategy despite the dungeon they entered being the deadliest among all the dungeons on the <First Floor>.

'They're not so sturdy, at all. But we still need to be careful about them. I don't have an idea how potent that laser earlier is. And... the floor boss hasn't shown itself yet. Maybe after we finished these bunnies,' Liam speculated.

Boom!

"Who dares to invade our dungeon?" a voice thundered somewhere.

They all turned in the voice's direction, seeing a humongous heavy-armored bipedal rabbit-like creature holding a giant hammer on top of its shoulder and towered the tall pine trees.

"I am Rantaro! The strongest creature of this world! I am the force not to be reckoned with and-"

Bang!

Everybody turned their head back to their captain, smoke coming out of his handgun as he hiccupped.

"Can you bring your stupid introduction somewhere else, rabbit? We're in a hurry, ya' know," Liam nonchalantly stated.

'Strongest creature, my ass! The Dark Lord would mop the floor with him if he's here. The system certainly gave that monster an attitude,' he mused with a harsh look on his face.

With that provocation, the <Floor Boss> burned in rage, smoke coming out of its tall ears as veins all over its body bulged out of its skin.

It matched its gaze to Liam's sleepy eyes.

"YOU DARE?!!! MY NAME IS RANTARO, YOU FOOLISH CREATURE!!!" Rantaro bellowed, sputtering greenish saliva as he speaks.

"Yeah, yeah, rabbit. Come and get me!"

"In all the years I spent here in this dungeon, no one dared to cut off my introduction and yet a weakling like you-"

"Blah, blah, blah! I said stop it, you're being annoying as this progress, rabbit!"

"IT'S RANTARO!!!"

Consequently, the <Floor Boss> took big, fast strides towards Liam, disregarding the other creatures before him and destroying the trees in the process.

The Paragon Knights ran for their lives and some even subconsciously dropped their weapons before running, afraid of being stepped on.

Bang, bang, bang!

Although the bullets only made light damages to the <Floor Boss> massive health bar underneath its feet, it infuriated the creature every time the bullets accurately pierced through its white front teeth as Liam ran away from him.

"Hey, rabbit! I think you stepped on some of your kin. I wonder if that's okay," Liam laughing pointed below the boss, not stopping on raining bullets at him on the other hand.

The <Floor Boss'> effeminate face looked down, seeing its kin flattened and obliterated from its step, covering the once pure snow with crimson.

Massacred body parts littered within the perimeter.

Bloodshot eyes, broken teeth, and the lifeless bodies of the smaller version of Rantaro had him belt out another ear-splitting scream.

"NOOOO!!! IT TOOK ME MONTHS TO ASEXUALLY REPRODUCE THOSE!!!" the <Floor Boss> huffed, "You vile creature! This is your fault!"

"Oh, no, no! Let's not play the blame game and stop pointing fingers. You did that, rabbit! You crushed them."

"I SAID IT'S RANTARO!!!"

The giant hammer glowed in white as Rantaro prepared to swing it.

'Eh?! Why did it stop midway? Is that the casting time of its skill or the normal delayed time of its basic attack?' Liam asked.

'Well, I should run as far as I can too,' Liam deduced after he saw his squad scattered.

Woosh!

"Uaack!!!"

"C-captain!"

'The f*ck?!' Liam shook.

A massive crater was instantly created after the giant, glowing hammer smashed the floor, hurling a strong ripple of invisible waves that shook the ground mirroring the effects of a massive earthquake.

Gripping his handgun harder, Liam thought, 'Holy sh*t!"

A few of the surrounding Paragon Knights in closer range felt a different aftershock, falling victim to the powerful hit resulting in a massive decrease in their <Health Bar>.

'One of those knights is even a tanker. That's a serious problem right there!' Liam thought.

Once again, Rantaro lifted the hammer as it glowed.

"Scatter around him and don't come near me! I'm his only target," Liam advised. His voice wasn't loud enough for everyone to hear him but thanks to the system's assistance, everyone in his party heard him loud and clear.

Boom!

This time, the smash demolished the nearby trees as Liam ran deeper into the forest.

The smash's aftershock exploded like a tidal wave, decimating everything that it touches.

"Squad, listen! This Floor Boss monster is tremendously strong, strong enough to kill a full health tanker so don't get close to it at all cost! But it seems the system gave it a clear weakness as well, its basic attack required exactly 3 seconds delayed time and its attack direction is always on its front. Melee knights, attack his feet and ran towards his back once he lifts the hammer! Range type knights retain your distance from the attack's fixed area of effect. As long as all of you keep that in mind, no one will die anymore," explained Liam.

Some struggled to believe him but Aaron took responsibility as he was the reason they were being punished.

"Just follow the captain's orders or we'll spend our stamina running around. We can't escape the dungeon if we don't defeat that thing." He swung his sword, taking the initiative and ran towards Rantaro.

The rest of the Paragon Knights caught each other's stares.

They were left uncertain how to proceed.

However, despite their reluctance, eventually, they followed after Aaron, putting on their faces fit for battle and cried as one, "RAAAAAA!"
