7 Too late. He's dead

Her heart kept racing wildly and her tears ceased to fall any longer.

She must kill him today, but she didn't wish to.

She just had to.

How she will live with the conscience of killing the person that she sees like her blood brother since young, only God knows.

She felt scared, but the man had done too many harm. He has hurt lots of people.

Those people now included her close ones. Her husband, her child, her God son and friends.

He had to die.

She has to kill him and get it over with, once and for all.

Her will strengthen after that.

It was already late into the night and his even breathing could be heard from behind her.

He had his arms wrapped around her like she meant the world to him.

It was like she was his comfort and everything.

He was careful around people and never let his guards down, which she had noticed, but when he was with her, he slept like a baby.

He showed the emotions that he masked with strength whenever it's just he and she.

It wasn't a bad thing, but she prefers that as a sibling related case.

She wouldn't mind being the sister that would care for him and be there during those weak moments.

It doesn't have to go this far.

She felt bad, because they're both orphans now. Their parents were very close friends since they were young and since they only gave birth to one child each, it makes them close.

She has been calling him brother, since they were little and he was cool with it. But as he matured from a boy and slowly hitting teens, he started telling her not to call him brother.

She wondered why, but he never told her the reason.

The day she threatened not to talk to him ever again, since he kept asking her to stop calling her 'brother' was the day he told her.

The reply was still fresh in her mind.

The reply that always made her skin crawl whenever it popped up.

"Because I'm going to make you my woman."

She felt it was a joke then, but still warned him not to say something like that ever again.

But now what?

They are both laying down on the same bed and waiting to get married in a few days.

Her wedding gown has been prepared.

A picture of them had been taken and they were only waiting to officially tie the knot. To be married to the man who hurt her husband and her child.

She must do it.

Her hand slowly reached beneath her pillow and it was exactly where she placed it.

She slowly brought out the knife and fiddled her fingers around it till she was able to clutch onto it without moving too much muscle and alert the man.

Her lashes fluttered continuously and her hand started to shake.

'Stella, you can do it.' She assured herself.

For your baby.

For Alexander.

For Nathan.

He has to die!

Immediately she chanted those lines two times, her hand raised and she aimed for a deep stab with all of her might.

A pair of strong hand got hold of her own, terminating her attempt.

Her body shook.

What now?

He just caught her. What is going to happen now?

"Easy, Stella. Don't let it cut you." He said in a tender tone, that wasn't expected from someone she just attempted to murder.

He slowly took the knife from her with care and immediately he got hold of it, Stella was expecting him to hurt her.

She was helping him to yell and do something bad, but his hand reached to hold her trembling hands and pulled her closer to himself.

His head resting to her neckline so intimately that her skin crawled. Goosebumps surfed all over her skin as she could feel his rod poking her from behind.

It seems to be getting harder as he sniffed her and tightened his hold.

Her fear leaped a fold. What if he wants to sleep with her?

He hadn't made any attempt to do that since he caged her in his home, but hadn't shamelessly got hard like this and even pressed it to her body.

"I didn't want to touch you until we get married, but you're turning me on everyday. I can't wait to have you, Stella.

I might not be your first like I hoped, thanks to that bastard, but I will make sure to be your last." He said and pressed his lips to her neckline.

"Calm down. Stop shaking so much. I love you." He said and then silence enveloped the room.

He didn't say anything after that and just held her still.

She failed.

Stella didn't know what to do next, but her body started to calm down. The fear slowly dissipated, but her tears never cease falling.

As soon as she was about to drift off to sleep after crying till her fill, he spoke up.

She thought he had slept, but he hasn't.

"Don't try what you did earlier, ever again. Sharp objects are dangerous. You might hurt yourself due to your carelessness.

You can't leave me. I won't allow it. Even if you kill me, which I doubted would happen, my men already had the order to kill the other boy and also make sure the bastard you called your lover died.

If you can't be with me, then you can't be with anyone. I love you. I own you.

With time, you will accept me. Loosen up and behave, or the other boy named Ethan would be missing next.

He was lucky the last time, but wouldn't be, if I tried again." He said and she sobbed loudly.

"Oh God! Shane, why are you doing this?" She asked.

"Because you're not letting the fact that you're mine, to sink in. Accept me and they are safe." He said.

"Fine! I do. Let them be. Oh God!" She said in between tears.

"Then we have a deal." He replied.

Taking in a deep breath, she let it out and asked, "Nathan. Where is he? Return him to his parents and I will be good."

"Too late. He's dead." He replied and closed his eyes, "Let's sleep now. The day will brighten up, soon."
