13 Training II

Today Jin Fu was going to teach Chang Ming stick fighting. Jin Fu had asked one more time during the week that if she wanted to learn something else other than stick fighting but she immediately refused. Jin Fu was helpless. As they say the first impression is the best impression.

After Chang Ming did a round of exercises, she was staring intently at Jin Fu saying that when she was going to start teaching her. Jin Fu sighed for Chang Ming's impatience. it was not like Jin Fu was idling around when Chang Ming was training. Jin Fu also did her set of exercises which somewhat frightened Chang Ming.

First, Jin Fu strapped weights to her body, legs, arms and wrists. Then she would begin her training in a set of basic moves which includes: basic punches and kicks without a single break.

After exercising and loosening her hands and feet, it was time for her to start training in some sets of martial arts movement. She realized that even though she had weapon in her hand, her body was still weak. If she was in her previous body, she could have defeated that wolf in one move, therefore she moved to the basic of martial arts. She remembered a famous martial artist saying that a simple punch or kick was more important. But for this to happen she must use every muscle in her body for executing a move.

Jin Fu believed that the basis of martial arts was the training of such simple moves. The pinnacle of it was to become one with nature that aligned with the profession of an assassin.

After fighting the wolf she had more desire to increase her strength.

This was also the reason why even though Chang Ming wanted to start with stick fighting at first, Jin Fu first wanted to somewhat improve Chang Ming's physical fitness.

But all this were thoughts that Jin Fu thought in a split second

Then after some silence Jin Fu started by asking a question.

"Tell me what martial arts is according to you?"

"Fu, according to me martial arts is a way in which one can fight."

"Good, your answer is partly correct."

"Fu, partly correct…?"

"According to me, martial arts should be learnt purely out of self defense if anyone threatens the lively being of one-self and our loved ones. "

When Jin Fu said this from her own mouth, her mouth was slightly twitching. This was because what she said was false because Jin Fu learnt martial arts so that she could kill more efficiently. Jin Fu tried to control her minute body movement s as far as possible because as they say the mouth can lie but the body cannot. Meanwhile, Chang Ming was mesmerized by what told Jin Fu told her.

" Stick Fighting which I'm going to teach you is a weapon based martial arts style which uses stick specifically for self defense."

Then Jin Fu started to teach the basics of stick fighting and kept sparing with her so that Chang Ming could improve at a faster rate.

One month passed in a blink of an eye.

In this one month, with the guidance of Jin Fu , Chang Ming improved at a lot faster rate which surprised Jin Fu. Even though Chang Ming would not be able to fight adults or strong animals, she would be able to contend her own against similar ages.

Similarly Chang Ming also relayed the message to her father that her friend Jin Fu desiring to go with their traveling team for the next month. Chang Ming's father was suspicious because he had not heard of any friend name Jin Fu. But then he remembered that he was not able to where his own daughter went this past month he became depressed. He then thought that this matter might be because of this new friend. Therefore Chang Ming's father agreed to her request after some thinking. He also guaranteed Chang Ming that he will take care of Jin Fu as his own daughter. Chang Ming became happy when she heard this. But Chang Ming didn't know that her father had ulterior motives. He wanted to interrogate Jin Fu and ask about the whereabout of his precious daughter this past month and what she has been up to.

Right now, Jin Fu was sparing with Chang Ming right now. When Jin Fu was going to hit Chang Ming's left elbow, Chang Ming evaded it skillfully. Then Chang Ming planned to counter attacked by hitting Jin Fu right leg with the stick but was blocked by Jin Fu. Then Jin Fu without wasting any time moved the stick close to Chang Ming chest and just stopped before the stick was going to hit her chest. Then Jin Fu said.

"You Lost."

"Fu, can you at least let me win once."

Jin Fu just gave a smile. Then she said.

"Anyway, today is our last spar. I will go with the traveling team day after tomorrow. Therefore I will not be there this entire week. So you better not idle around when Im not around and keep up with your training."

"Fu, I get it. You don't need to worry about it."

"Ok you can go back home and get some rest. I need to prepare for the travel."

"Fu, I got it. See you in a week then."

After Chang Ming left, Jin Fu went straight towards her room to start packing her stuff. When Cai Xiang saw this, she was simply helpless.

When Jin Fu told that she would be going with the traveling team next month, Cai Xiang was shocked shitless. Cai Xiang tried to persuade Young Miss to not go with them and just tell them what she requires, they would bring them for her. But what Cai Xiang got was direct refusal by Jin Fu.

Cai Xiang just said this.

"Young Miss, when you travel, at least wear the cloak which you made. If you don't wear that young miss would look to eye-catching."

"Aunt, thank you for your reminder. I will keep that in mind."

The day of the journey came in a blink of an eye.
