"HAHAHAHA, what a fine woman, you managed to do it!" his father laughed. He was watching all this time. From the moment he felt that Mormo inserted the essence into his skin, he knew that Opal was doing her "work" properly.

She probably was much more suitable to cultivate than her now worthless son.

He gave him books without all the details, he was just 3 years old, how could he even understand what was happening? He was hoping for Mormo to share with his mother his struggles with the organ-choosing process.

He inserted the "How to manage your slave" book into the shelf to help his mother to perform her "job" correctly. As far as he was concerned, he got an excellent wife, the only problem was that she had a child near her, and he wasn't his child.

If his new wife could get god's recognition it would be perfect. If she couldn't find the book, he would just explain it to her, but everything went just as he planned. Opal even got recognition from the god of water, one of the elements, he had nothing to complain about.

How could this little brat know that the particles of the essence needed to be stored close to each other? That way his power will not be a threat to Heaven, and the gods will let you have some powers. Otherwise, the user could collect too much power. If he would be allowed to just collect all the essence he could into his skin, wouldn't he be able to transact and turn from a human being into a real god?? And by that steal the power of the current gods? How many "gods of the water" does this world need?

How many morons tried to research the different storage organs to transact into a divine being just to lose it all in the end?

"What is happening? Please explain it to me!" Opal said.

….

He looked at her with a weird expression, then he thought about the water element. "Isn't it the element that overcomes all others in protection? One of the rarest?" he wore a dumb expression. "Don't tell me … he thought about it himself and it is all just a big coincidence? If this is the truth, doesn't it mean that this kid at a young age, as young as 3, thought about it himself, and when he found out about his error, he got the resolve to move all his hopes into his mother's hands???" his face got white. How can a young slave be that smart and contain so much courage? By Opal's face, he could be sure that it wasn't her idea.

For the first time, he got a little bit scared of this little kid and started to consider how to kill him efficiently. But after some thought, he remembered that Mormo just lost all of his possible future achievements, which made Opal's husband much more relaxed.

If he would play it correctly, he would gain a beautiful wife with great powers. If she had nothing to do with Mormo's condition and got the recognition of the god of water, known also as the element with the best protection capability, isn't he won big this time? All he needed to do is to play as a loving father and show care for this Mormo. Through this, he will gain all of Opal's power. It's not all, he could make her more protective over Mormo. He could even "help" her to develop her control over the element as much as he wanted by making her son run over some difficulties.

He put a grave expression on his face and said, "I'm sorry, I didn't manage to meet with you in the past two months. We had a lot of problems with a close clan. Our poor son made a big mistake because of me" he said and went down to his knees to bow to Opal.

"What do you mean, what happened? Is anything wrong with Mormo? Please, tell me!" she was confused and scared.

He looked into her eyes. A single drop of tear fell from his eye.

He didn't talk for some time, his face looked more miserable as time went by. He bit his tongue and said, "Our son cultivated in a wrong way, he put all his essence into his skin. This kind of method made him cripple, unable to ever use his god power.".

His face turns paler as he kept talking. "He probably really loves you. He put all his previous potential into you and helped you to get recognition from the god that rules over the water. All you can do now is not to waste his gift and protect him for the rest of your life", of course, he said nothing about Mormo's depleted life force.

Opal listened to all of that, she had now everything she ever dreamed about: status, a strong husband, god power, and respect.

But all she felt was a deep emptiness.

She looked at her son and hugged him as strong as she could, she knew that everything she had was gifted to her by her son. She promised herself that from today onward she will protect him without any care about the price!

Then he went to her and said, "as far as I'm concerned, everything happened because of me, so please, I'm asking for your forgiveness. If I think about it, I never told you what my name is. Please call me Assaf from today, you shall be my wife, and I promise you that I will help you to protect our child no matter how difficult it will be".

Opal looked at him with a thankful face, she was lost, and he came to her like an angel to help her on the worst day of her life. She came near him and kissed him on the cheek, then she whispered in his ear "Thank you".

5 years had passed since that fateful day. To show his goodwill Assaf arranged a marriage with Mormo and a close clan chief daughter Mor. He told them that there is no way that this kid will live past his 30 and promised a lot of treasure for this agreement.

He will not be her husband but her male "maidservant", Opal understood this world and knew that for a powerless boy to get to be a companion of a genius girl that had a chance to become a clan chief in the future is a big show of face. She was thankful to Assaf who cared so much about her son.

During this time, she gave birth to two sons: Igal and Tamir, one was 4 years old and the second was only 2. They both got god's recognition, and both had purple recognition which was very rare.

When they checked Opal's recognition level it was pure white!!! They kept it an absolute secret!

It was thousands of years ago when the last known white recognition appeared.

Opal never restricted Mormo in any way, she let him collect all the essence he wanted to and tried to show as much love to him as she could, but three years ago he started to travel more and more in the forest.

He grew more distant from her, which made Opal very sad.

No matter what Assaf did, Mormo never accepted him, and when Opal tried to smooth the mood between them, Mormo looked at her with a disappointed face and started to build a wall around himself.

It's not like Mormo didn't want to keep his closeness to Opal, it was important for his survival, but in the last years, his mother got more and more dependable on her new husband.

She loved Assaf, and Mormo could see that he is always trying to make her closer to him and a bit by bit further away from himself.

Mormo knew that she is thinking that he is just a little kid, and she will take the words of an adult rather than his own words.

Mormo was in this world for 8 years, and he understood how ugly this world is. His "father" wanted to dispose of him as fast as possible.

The biggest proof of that was that he never told them that Mormo will die until his 20, the longest he could live is 30.

Opal tried to come closer to Mormo, but he pushes her away. He understood that being close to her now will only put him in more danger. He could only hope that his mother will not stop to care about him and that his father will not push the matter too much.

Assaf liked the current situation, all he had to do is play it safe, and eventually, her love and care will move to her other children.

It was a hot summer, in the middle of nowhere, deep inside a forest a little shadow could be seen. He was running, a lot of sweat was pouring out from his body. He was only 8 years old, but he was carrying a huge stone on his shoulder. The stone weighed at least 120 kilograms and it wasn't looked like the kid just started his running.

Of course, this kid was Mormo. After he collected "his" essence again, he found out that by cycling it inside his body he could accelerate his body regeneration process. He hadn't had a lot of essence, so he performed a lot of research, and found that when he exercised, he can use his essence to make the recovery process much faster, from then on, he tried to cultivate his body instead of his god powers. To his amazement, he found out that his guess was a bullseye.

The only side effect was that he trained his body so much that he is now eternally dependent on his regeneration power to move his body. His muscles are so strong that every movement damages his bones and tendons, even his breathing. So, he needed to cycle his essence around his body even when he sleeps. What made him even happier is that his essence got stronger and stronger as he kept using them. The quantity didn't change, but the overall power got stronger… much stronger.

In addition, his "loving father" Assaf gave him a book that explained how he could use his power to help others, in other words, he is something like a cleric. He could help other people in their recovery process. If it wasn't for Opal, he would stay his whole life as a slave in the recovery building helping the clan members cure their injuries. But when Assaf even mentioned it, Opal freaked out, and that is how this idea died down.

What a useful power, Mormo laughed about himself. In every novel that he read on earth, this kind of power at the very least will help you to get some power and recognition. In reality, they will look at you like a walking medicine. If you wouldn't comply, they will torture you a little bit and then you will be more than "happy" to heal them.

Mormo found out that he could help not only people but animals and plants as well.

As long as his mother will not take his essence, his remaining years will not be this horrible. He never fought any human, so he didn't know how strong he is compared to others, but by earth standards, he is something like a warrior from the legends. He can jump up to 20-meter-high and run so fast that he is thinking he could be compared to a car. The most amazing of all is that with one punch he can shatter a big stone like it was nothing but a chunk of sand.

He knew that he got a mistress he was supposed to "marry", but it doesn't look like she is interested in him because he never saw her.

Overall, he was satisfied, his situation was good as far as his mother will stand by his side.

As more sweat fell from his face, he thought that it was time to stop running, he stopped near a small lake and went inside it.

As always, when he entered the water, he cycled the essence near him around the lake. Slowly some beautiful flowers started to grow, and when they fully bloomed, he stopped the nearby essence from moving outside the lake and moved them inside the water. When he does so it helps him restore his power much faster. He can store his essence in another object as freely as he wanted.

After an hour of resting, maybe even a little bit of sleeping, he left the lake, put the huge stone back on his shoulder, and resume his running. With his control over the essence, 2 hours of sleeping every day were enough for him, all his other time was spent on running and weightlifting.

He was thirsty for power, he knew that he had 2 more brothers, and he was afraid that his mother will stop caring for him as much as she does now, so he will do anything to get stronger.

He didn't want to depend on his mother's goodwill to survive. IN THIS WORLD ONLY STRENGTH MATTERS!
