10 Chocolate Milk

I silently walked out of bed trying not to wake Ashton up, it was currently 3 a.m and I had a sleepless night. I walked to the kitchen looking for something to munch on or possibly a warm drink that would help me fall asleep. I looked in the fridge and picked up the milk to heat up and some chocolate milk powder. 

I stared at the pot waiting for the milk to boil as I heard footsteps. 

"Y/n? What're you doing up so late?" 

"Just couldn't sleep so I decided to make some chocolate milk, do you want any?" 

"If it's not a lot of trouble, sure" he said as I took out another glass and tried to pour the hot milk into. 

"Here let me help you" Ashton said taking the pot away from me, pouring the milk and adding the chocolate to it

he handed me a warm glass of it as we walked into the living room 

"Any particular reason you couldn't sleep?" He asked as he sat on the couch with me 

"Not a lot just a presentation at school tomorrow and maybe a little pissed at mom for almost not letting me spend the night"

"You're going to do well you know, you've prepared hard for it'

"I know but I just want to get out of here, out of this boring town and do everything on my bucket list"

"Well someday we'll be old enough to escape, what are the thing on your bucket list anyways?" 

"Well it's a lot"

"I won't worry too much about it because we have all night"

"So I've had this list since I was 12, the first thing I want to do is skateboarding at 2 am with music, swimming in the ocean at night while it rains with the moonlight, dancing at night when it rains all with you and the girls [your friends] well there's a lot more but these are the important ones"

"Now that you told me this I want to make this happen, so as a very formal invitation will you y/n finish your bucket list with me and our friends?" He said chuckling but with a little seriousness to do it. 

"Fuck yeah!" I said sipping from my cup

"So tell me Irwin, what's on your bucket list"

"Everything you just said and the feeling of finally making it" 

"I never knew how much I wanted this till I'm having this conversation with you" I stated 

he briefly looked into my eyes as I pulled him in for a kiss, in that moment I realized that everything I just said were just goals, it would be great if they all actually happened but everything would be ok as long as Ashton was with me
