2 CHAPTER ONE

I frowned, trying as much as possible to stop the threatening tears from pouring down my face.

It was the sixth time we were relocating, and I didn't find it funny at all. I felt like I was being taken on exile. Mom and Dad never considered my feelings for once, they just do what they please.

I hate them so much.

Right now, I'm in my Dad's car, and guess where he is taking me? Well, my new school. It's a boarding school. Dad does not want me to stay home alone since he and mom would be away on a business trip for three months.

Dad stepped on the brake, and the car came to a halt. I sat still, with my hands folded on my chest.

"Come on princess, we are there" he said, and I shot him glare before alighting from the car. The sound of "princess" irritated my ears.

"Don't call me princess, I'm not your princess! I yelled in anger.

Dad exhaled deeply. A line appeared on his forehead.

"Let's go complete the formalities" he said, with a ton of finality in his voice.

I tagged right behind him, ignoring the stares of the students. It was so annoying that they're staring at me.

Do I look like an alien or something?

So irritating!

The school was very big, and there were a lot of trees, and flowers that added to the beauty.

Finally, we arrived at the principal's office.

My Dad, and the principal exchanged pleasantries while I just gazed at them frowning.

"How are you young lady?"The principal asked, a smile curled on his lips.

I hate that smile!

"Don't call me young lady! My name is Ashley!" I snapped.

"How are you Ashley?" He said, ignoring my rude behavior.

"I'm not fine!" I spat.

Dad completed all the formalities.

"Miss Jane, please take her to her dormitory" the principal instructed a young looking lady.

Finally, all of my things were neatly arranged in my room. Oops! did I say my room? I mean the room I was going to share with three other girls.

The room was very big and spacious. It has four beds, and two bathrooms. Each bed has a reading table by the side, and there was also a closet for each bed. It was not that bad, and I was glad  that the room was painted pink. Pink is my favorite color.

"It's not too late to attend classes, if you don't mind I'll show you to your class young lady" Miss Jane offered.

"Why are you all calling me a young lady, my name is Ashley! I yelled, and she flinched.

"A-S-H-L-E-Y" I emphasized.

"What's so hard in that!" I fumed.

"Ashley manners!" Dad sterned, but I ignored him. He, and mom caused it.

"Ok then Ashley, I'll take you to your class" she said.calmly.

I expected her to yell at me or something, but she spoke calmly.

Wow! She actually impressed me.

"Come on princess, let's go" Dad said.

Can't he stop calling me princess? It's so annoying!

"He should just leave, and let me face what I'm here for" I thought.

Miss Jane opened the classroom door, and I strolled in with my Dad.

The class was big, and spacious. It had a projector. The lockers were at the back of the class. There were three rows in the class. The first row had three seats on each line, the second had two seats, and the last one had three seats too. The chairs and tables were looking attractive too.

"Good morning students" Miss Jane smiled sweetly.

"Good morning Miss Jane" They chorused.

All eyes turned to me.

"This is Ashley, and she is going to join this class" She announced.

"Hi Ashley" they chorused. They all look at me, eagerly waiting for me to respond.

"Hey, say something" Miss Jane whispered in my ear.

"I don't wish to" I muttered

"She's a bit shy" Miss Jane chuckled.

"Make sure you make new friends princess" Dad grinned.

"So that you can hurt me again!" I half yelled, with tears streaming down my face. I wiped it off with the back of my hand.

Dad sighed.

"I have to go now princess" Dad said.

I gazed at him, and more tears clouded my eyes.

"I'm not gonna see him, and mom for three months. I hate them right now, but I love them so much" I thought.

I ran into his arms, and he pulled me into a tight hug.

"Bye dad" I said amid tears, disengaging from the hug.

I knew everyone was watching.

Dad left finally, and I felt more tears trickling down my face.

"You can sit beside Alex" Miss Jane said, gesturing at the empty seat.

The seat was at the back, and it was close to the window. I went to drop my backpack in an empty locker, at the back of the class. I locked it, and put the key in my pocket.

Immediately I got to my seat, I noticed that the other seat on my left was empty. I placed my head on my table.

"Daddy's girl" The guy sitting next to me, whose name is Alex I guess, said  sarcastically. I felt like smacking his face, but I just kept my cool.

"Hi, I'm Alex" he said again.

I raised my head up from the table, and glared at him.

"I'll like it if no one talks to me!" I yelled, which attracted the attention of the whole class. They gazed at me for a while, before going back to what they were doing.

"Saying hi won't hurt you" Alex said again. He was really getting on my nerves. He was about to say something, but another young lady walks in.

"Ashley James" She called out, and I stood up.

"Your materials are ready, come with me" She said, walking out of the class. I tagged right behind her.

"There," She said, gesturing. The materials consisted of Textbooks, notebooks, stationeries, a laptop, and so many other things. I carried them bit by bit to my locker, and arranged them neatly. I slumped down on my chair. I was kind of tired. A teacher walked into the class.

"Good morning Mrs Jones" They chorused, standing up. I reluctantly stood up too.

The teacher stared at me for a while.

"You're a newbie" she said, and I nodded.

"What's your name?" she asked

"Ashley James" I answered.

"Take your seats, let's get to work" she turned on the projector.

She was the mathematics teacher, Mrs Jones.

I hated mathematics. All the students already have their laptops, and their notes with them. I went up to my locker to get mine.

The lesson continued for two straight hours, and I felt like dying.

"That's all for today. Make sure you submit your assignment tomorrow" she said, turning off the projector.

"Yes, Mrs Jones" the class chorused.

I breathed a sigh of relief.

"It's time for lunch" Alex said.

"What part of don't talk to me don't you understand!" I yelled, and a hot slap landed on my face. It was like I was blinded for a moment.
