1 Ch.1 Living The Future

-Year 1111-

"Good job everyone!"

(Cheers and laughs echos around the room)

"Now that the Abyssal King is dead we can finally live in peace"

That right, now that the Abyssal King Imius is dead what's next… maybe I'll go and live in the Eastern Kingdom of Filleron at the coastal sea.

"Hey Ember, what are you planning to do for now on?"

"I think I am going to live a quiet peaceful life somewhere I can't be bothered."

"Are you planning on getting married, because I think Sonia would love to be your wife."

*blushing* "Aahhh Gust what nonsense are you pulling, ignore what he said Ember it is true, he probably just drunk…"

*smiling* "I'll think about it."

"Hehe… you hear that Sonia, he thinking about it don't screw it up."

"Gust stop messing with Sonia, she doesn't know how to express her feeling to others, but please to tell me when you two have children I'll come and visit."

"ROOOSEEEE do you know what you're saying right now… ch-ch-children…"

Sonia faints and falls down.

(talking while fainted) "Hehe… me having Ember children… hehe"

"Hey innkeeper, we get a room for her please."

"Of course heroes… (brings a key over) here your room key"

"Hey Ember brings her up would you?"

"Ahhhhh fine… it was your guy's fault she fainted and you're making me bring her upstairs."

Gust put his hand on Ember shoulder and smiles.

"Take the key and bring her up, oooh if there happen to be any noise coming from upstairs or any creaking noise or sound we will pretend we don't hear anything okay."

"Ehhhh how much did you drink already Gust?"

"What are you talking about I am not drunk."

"Catch Ember"

Rose toss me a bag.

"Why are you giving me this?"

"It's your share and we talk about it in private and decide to give it to you since you did most of the hard work and saved our lives while we're on the journey."

"What in the bag?"

"A white crystal that was on the Imius throne chair seat."

"Okay thanks, I'm going to bring Sonia upstair now."

Ember picks up Sonia and carried her upstairs to her room.

Ember opens the bedroom door and put Sonia down on the bed.

"Heee...children...hee"

Ember pulls the blanket up to her shoulder so she stays warm.

"Kiss me Ember…hee hee"

"Sonia…?"

No response.

Ember bends over and kisses Sonia on the forehead.

For some reason Sonia was smiling, is she faking it or dreaming.

Ember went to the window and sat down on the ledge.

Ember took out the bag that Rose give me and took out the crystal.

The touch of the crystal was vibrating with energy.

What kind of magic property does this crystal have, maybe it's an elemental crystal or perhaps enhancement crystal?

Whatever it is, it seems to have a strong aura coming out of it.

The room was getting warmer, and it seems to be coming from the crystal reacting to be touch.

As Ember went to grab the window handle something poke his finger. (drop the crystal)

The sudden pain made me drop the crystal.

"F***... why is there a nail popping out from the handle"

Ember picks up the crystal.

"Dammit now the crystal got blood on it, should have picked it up with my other hand."

Ember tries to wipe the blood off with his shirt.

Suddenly the crystal stop vibrating with energy.

The crystal slowly turns from white to red.

Slowly it vibrates again, it was vibrating stronger and stronger by the second.

The crystal started to glow bright red.

Ember put the crystal on the window ledge.

The glow was getting so bright he can't even look at it anymore.

Blindly Ember search for the crystal with his hands, once he got hold of it he threw it against the wall as hard as possible.

*smash*(cling)

A super bright white light and high vibrating ring noise hit his ear.

Ember couldn't see anything, all he saw was an empty white space void-like.

Ember knew was no longer in the room with Sonia.

"Hello… is anyone there?"

No response.

(Car) *beep*

"Who there?"

What was that noise?

Ember looks around, but there was still nothing.

A distant voices echos pass by.

"Do you have any plan for tomorrow?"

Ember looks around once more.

"HELLO ANYONE OUT THERE, CAN YOU HELP ME!"

Where was that voice coming from?

"Hey look there a kid in the alley sleep talking, what do we do?"

"Let just leave him."

Ember can only hears them but not see them, and heard one of them said he was sleeping…

Thinking to himself "maybe if I cast -Awaken- on myself to wake myself up if I am really sleeping and this is a dream."

*Casting* (Awaken)

"Nothing… maybe I can't cast while I am sleeping."

"Did you see that glow of light in the alley?"

"What light?"

"Must be my imagination, forget it."

Ember knows there are people outside but wonder how to get their help.

"Well hello there boy, are you okay?"

Ember heard a voice old lady coming through, is she talking to me.

"Are you okay boy, are you hurt anywhere?"

This was the only chance Ember have and must take it.

"PLEASE HELP ME I SEEM TO BE STUCK IN THE DREAM REALM"

Hope the lady heard that.

"Are you sleep talking?"

"NO, I AM NOT, PLEASE GET A DOCTOR!"

(Ember) Am I really sleeping out there but I don't remember ever going to sleep?

"Don't worry boy I'll be back in a moment."

"Who are you, can I get your name."

There was no response, maybe she already left.

(Ember) I hope that lady comes back. Now it's a waiting game.

(20 Minutes Later)

"I'm back boy, sorry to keep you waiting."

The lady finally back.

"Drink this, it should wake you up from that curse."

Ember felt something going down his throat even though he is in the white void.

*BUD-DUM*

His heart is burning, it feels like it's on fire.

"Hang in there boy, this will hurt for a moment, stay strong."

Hehe, this is nothing compared to the fight with the Abyssal King Imius, but holy crap does this hurt.

"My body feels like it's going to explode at any moment."

Ember can feel the sweat on his arms, legs, and face.

(Ember) I can't hold this anymore, this pain too much

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!"

The energy of pain disperses, then a wave of pain going to his head.

Ember blackout than feels his body feels very light.

"You should be fine for now, take better care of yourself, I have to go now."

Dam how shameless of me, can't even get up and thank that kind lady for helping me.

(Ember) I feel so tired but I have to get up and say thank you first, it's only right to do so.

Get up goddammit, why won't his body move.

"...wait…"

"Ohh did you say something?"

Slowly Ember opens his eyes.

A light was coming through and Ember started to hear a noise.

(Car) *beep beeeeep*

"WTF is going on, I have to get to work"

Ember can hear people talking and some noise he doesn't recognize.

Finally, he fully opens his eye and too loud yelling outside.

"Where am I?"

"I see you're awake, don't push much your body still recovering, just relax for a while."

Ember can feel his body waking up and energy coming back to me.

He slowly gets up and stands.

"Oh my, are you sure your going to be okay."

Ember looks to his right and could see an old lady with a cane.

Ember bows down…

"Thank you very, mam."

"Don't worry about it boy."

(Ember) Boy… why is she calling me boy, I am sure I'm 30 years old.

"Excuse me but can you still me where I am?"

"Haha, you're in Keeio."

(Ember) Keeio… I never heard of it before.

"Where is this Keeio located?"

"Do you not know where or who you are, maybe you have amnesia?"

"No, I know who I am but I just don't know where I am."

Ember look around the alley and the building to his side was made out of hard stone like.

"Maybe you will get your memory back soon but right now you're in Keeio, a small continent in the Pacific Ocean."

Now Ember knows he is no longer in Yarith…

"What year is it now mam?"

"It is currently the year 2111."

"AHH, can you repeat yourself I think I misheard you."

"2111"

(Ember) Wait, it 2111 and I was just in the year 1111, that means I jump 1000 years into the future.

"Sorry but I really have to go now."

"If it not a problem can I come along with you will I see this place is like?"

"Sure I don't see any problem with that."

Ember slowly walks out of the alley and see what this place was like.

The bright light hits his eye and blinds me for a moment. Staying in the dark alley really put a string on his eye.

Ember regains his vision. The first thing he saw was a big moving object with people inside, like a carriage but there was no horse was attached to it.

The lady walked ahead calling back to me.

"Are you coming?"

Ember quickly catches up.

He glances to his right of the building mirror and could see that he was no longer a 30-year-old man, and from the look of it, he looked around the teenage age of 15 years old.

"I didn't get a chance to get your name, can you tell me?"

"My name is…"

Ember wonder if he should give her his real name or make one up.

"It's okay if you don't want to tell me your name."

"No it's fine, my name is Ember."

Ember hope his name isn't weird at this time and age.

"What a lovely name, you can call me Frey."

"If you don't mind telling me where you're going?"

"Grocery shopping for dinner tonight."

That reminds him, what kind of money they use at this age, he will just have to see later at the store.

We arrive at a small store, the lady walks toward a door and it open without any hand.

"Aaaaa…"

"Are you okay?"

"It's just that the door just opens on its own."

"Ohhh… let me tell you something, there was once a man who try going inside to buy alcohol and the door cut him in half and die with his guts and blood everywhere, people say that the door doesn't like men."

(Ember) What kind of bullshit is that, does that mean I have to run quickly through.

"Hahaha the look on your face is funny, don't worry about the story is not real, come on now the time is being wasted."

He walked staying close to Frey.

The door open and we walk inside.

"Welcome!"

Ember bow in respect than the lady at the counter giggles.

(Ember) Did I bow wrong or mess up.

"Ember can you help get 1 milk, 1 pack of beans, 1 bag of flour, 1 bag of breadcrumbs."

Ember look around the store and grab what he was asked to get.

After getting all the stuff he went to the counter where Frey was waiting for me.

As Ember went to the counter 3 muscular man walk in.

"Welcome"

The man in front of the other two man chuckles a quiet laugh.

*Dum-Dum*

(Ember) What was that, why am I getting killing malice from the 3 men, this doesn't look good. Wait if I can get this feeling can I use magic in this age and hopefully it's the same universe or bad things about to go downhill.

Ember made it to the counter and handed the cashier the stuff he got.

*beep beep*

The cashier grabs all the stuff Ember and Frey grabs and runs it through something that kept making a beeping noise thing.

"That would be $17.49 please."

"Ohh my… look like I can't pay for all of them, I am short $6… can you take off the beans and th…"

"No need to do that because we'll be taking all your money."

The aura of malicious hits Ember back like a knife, he turns around and saw the 3 men standing behind Ember and Frey.

"Now than lady and gents, hand over all your money."

The 3 men laugh.

"Hehehehe"

Ember knew things were going to go down but this is bad, but Ember doesn't even know if he can use magic at this time and age. He should have told Frey to leave when he felt the aura when they walk in.
