5 Ch. 5 Nexus Part 2

"Welcome to Nexus how can I help you two today?"

Ivy walks up and talks to the lady…

"We would like to get a new ID for my dumb friend there"

"At least you call me friend I'll take it"

"We're not friends…"

"But you just said, quote on quote "my dumb friend" which had the word "my" meaning yes we are friends"

"No, we're not"

"Yes we're"

"NO, WE'RE NOT!"

Ivy loud voices echo throughout the whole main foyer.

Ember leans in and whispers…

"Yes we're are"

"I'm going to k-"

The receptionist interrupts…

"Are you two dating because you will make a great couple one day"

"No we're not dating and who would ever date this weirdo ever…"

"Don't say that because one day you might just fall for him *fufu*"

"I am done here, I'm going to the training facility"

"What about my ID?"

"I could help you with that?"

"After I get my ID where is this training facility at?"

"Why don't you ask her she works here"

Ivy walks away pissed off.

"Here you go…"

The receptionist hands Ember a fill out a paper for his ID.

"Fill it out the best you can and if you have any questions don't be afraid to ask"

Ember goes and find an empty table and fills out the paper.

-5 Minutes Later-

Ember hands the paper back to the receptionist at the front desk.

"Here you go, miss…"

"Thank you I'll look over it right now and also you can just call me Crystal"

"Okay Crystal, how long will it take before I get my ID?"

"Not long I'm just going to put the information into the computer then your all set, and stay right here in case I have questions about your paper form"

Crystal starts to put the in information into the computer system. There was a puzzled look on Crystal face.

"Here you didn't fill out the part where you live?"

"That because I don't have a specific place that I'm living at…"

"I completely understand it a harsh world, but what about where you were born it too is empty?"

"I don't know where I was born"

"There's no way you don't know where you were born…"

Suddenly there was an energy of magic emitting from the four receptionist. Ember felt the aura and knew that the four receptionist wasn't emitting it before. Then it ticks Ember that his answer on the paper was vague and didn't show anything about Ember personal information.

(Ember) They must be on alert since I'm a stranger with no ID and lack of information, I have to think of something quick before things go down...

"Ohh Ember looks like you stick to your words and came I see…"

To Ember left coming down from the stairs was Geeia...

"Hi Geeia"

The receptionist looks over to their right and saw Geeia coming down…

"Geeia do you know him?"

"I met Geeia last night"

"NO-NO it not what you think it is… we just talk and that it"

The four receptionist calmed down and stopped emitting magic energy, Ember felt relieved.

Geeia walks come over and walks behind the desk where the receptionist was and takes the form and looks over it.

"To answer the question about where I was born is because I woke up just yesterday in an alley with no idea where I am until a met a nice lady who helps me out"

"Okay, that would explain some things… I'll just continue putting the information into the computer then… and Geeia… GET OVER TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DESK THIS IS EMPLOYEE ONLY!"

Crystal gives Geeia a knuckle to the head.

"OWW sis… you didn't have to hit me"

"It would never happen if you just didn't come over to this side every time, every day"

"So you two are sisters?"

"Yep and clearly you can see that Crystal the meaner one"

"Go away Geeia we were in a middle of filling out his ID so if you don't mind"

"Yea, yea, yea just do your thing pretend I'm not here"

Crystal continues to put in the information…

"Alright all done, now last thing your ranking. You have two options, one taking a test or two you start from the bottom. If you take the test you will get the appropriate ranking depending on how you do but if you choose to start from the bottom it might be hard to climb to the top"

"Can you tell me more about this rank system?"

"Sure, starting off the ranking list is F to E to D to C to B to A to S. Depending on your ranking the quest/mission that your allow taking is your current ranking and lower rank"

(Ember) Just like how it works back home, nothing changes much.

"I'll just start from the bottom"

"Are you sure Ember…?"

"Yea I'm sure"

Crystal leans in and whispers to Ember…

"Those who are the lowest rank are always bullied and are made fun of, and there is nothing we can do because there is no rule against talking bad about someone unless they are hurt"

"Yea I know about the rules and how this place is a sanctuary but you don't have to worry about me I can handle myself"

"Huh… I tried to warn you, even if you have some ability to be higher up the ranking than the very bottom of the ranking, all I can hope is good luck to you Ember"

"Test is too much work, I like to take thing slow and plus I know what I'm capable of"

"Humm… fine if you won't take the test that on you and don't say I didn't warn you. The last thing is a photo of you so say CHEESE…"

Crystal quickly pulls out a camera and snap a quick picture of Ember.

Ember didn't know what the small device was…

(Ember) I what was she holding and why did I have to say cheese for...

Crystal finalizes the information on the computer. Connecting the camera to the computer Crystal transfer the photo. Crystal grabs a white card from under the counter and inserts it halfway into a small machine. Crystal press print on the computer and the empty card went through the small printer and came out the other side with a photo, number, and barcode-like Ivy card.

Crystal hands over Ember ID and Ember put it in his pocket.

"All set… do you know what's the benefit of an ID is?"

"Kinda, my friend told me a bit about it"

"I'll tell you about it than… one, this card allows you to use our building and their facilities within for free but some area is off limit because of ranking requirements to enter that area. Two, you allow to use any ability in a public area for good reason, just show this ID to any officer or officials that ask. Three, your card is used for points after completing missions or quest, these points can be exchanged for real money or exchange for equipment and items in our public stall store or mall. And that the benefits, any questions?"

"No questions, thanks for the information"

"Is there anything else you need besides the ID you can here for?"

"No, but I do need directions to the training facility my friend went off to"

"No problem I'm sure Geeia would be glad to show you the way"

"What… why do I have to…"

Crystal leans over to whispers to Geeia…

"Because you give him the bunny ear in the photo and seems he didn't notice or maybe I should tell him and make him charge you for the new ID he wants since you give him the ears"

"Aww fine… let's go Ember it's this way"

Geeia leads Ember to a very long hall that had a moving walkway on both sides near the wall both going opposite ways.

On the way to the training facility, both Ember and Geeia didn't talk. Ember didn't mind the quiet since on one side of the wall was a glass looking outward toward the city, and enjoying the view.

In a few moments walking on moving walkway plus also the walking to Ember and Geeia made it to their destination.

"We're here, just through this door you will enter the training area. It's pretty big but they're more than one exit door, just look for an exit sign pointing to the nearest door"

Ember tries to open the door but it was lock…

"You have to unlock it with your ID on the keypad. Just hold your ID next to the icon that looks like a sun then the door will unlock for you"

Ember reaches for his ID…

"Wait wait I got it you don't need to get your hehe" *nervous laugh*

Geeia takes out her ID and unlocks the door. *beep*

"Go look for your friend I got things to do…"

"It's not to stalk me again right?"

"Of course not hehe"

"Just come with me to the training since your just going to keep tags on me, just don't stalk around the corner like a creep"

"Ahh no… just go in already I'll be right behind you"

Ember walks in, the room was huge with many people inside and the ceiling was at least 75 meters high. There were different types of the section in the room, one being training dummy section, one being archery target and one huge room for mock battles.

"We have to check in at the desk first before doing anything"

There were a lady and a big buff muscular man behind the lady at the desk.

Ember and Geeia walk up to the desk and Geeia give the lady her ID.

Geeia whisper to Ember "Psst your ID Ember"

Ember takes out his ID and hands it over to the lady.

The lady inspects the ID and pause for a moment and gives off a light chuckles. The lady looks back at Ember and Geeia…

Geeia leans over the desk and whispers to the lady "Hehe… don't he doesn't know yet so keep it low"

The lady swipes the card through the machine and hands it back to Ember and Geeia. Ember puts his ID back into his pocket.

"Enjoy your time, the beverage station is finally finish building so if you are tired you can go there and rest, it would be on the east side of the room"

"Let go look for my friend Ivy, she should be around in here"

Ember and Geeia look around for Ivy in the huge training facility. They started to look first at the training dummy section first.

The training dummy section was filled with people that there wasn't a single open dummy.

"DUDE WHAT THE FUCK MAN YOU BEEN HOGGING THE TRAINING DUMMY FOR AN HOUR NOW LET OTHER USE IT TOO"

"SHUT UP YOU TRASH PLEBS"

"Hey Geeia seems like things are going down over there let go look"

"Why you nosey, let them solve their own problem"

Ember was already walking toward the crowd that was forming a circle around the two people.

Ember squeezes his way to the front of the circle.

"I WAS HERE FIRST SO I DECIDE WHEN IM DONE"

"THERE A LIMIT TO HOW LONG ONE PERSON CAN USE AND IT 30 MINUTES, YOU BEEN ON FOR OVER AN HOUR NOW"

The man front the desk early came into the circle…

"What the problem here?"

"He been hogging the training dummy for over an hour and the limit is 30 minutes if there are people waiting"

"THAT RULES ONLY FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE PLEBS"

"What rank are you then?"

"HAHA RANK 27 TIER C CLASS TYPE WARRIOR, WHAT YOUR RANKING HMMM"

There was mumbling around the circle.

Geeia mumbles to herself "What a disgrace to the higher up, making a scene like this"

"I'M WAITING… WHAT YOUR RANK YOU PLEBS"

Quiet tone "Rank 194 tier E Ranger"

"HAHA TRASH"

"Alright just break off the fighting and go your own way you two"

"NO, HE STARTED THIS FIGHT SO IM NOT GOING TO BACK OUT LIKE A CHICKEN. INSTEAD, FIGHT ME RIGHT NOW IN THE MOCK ARENA"

"I-I-I declined"

The muscular man from the front desk claps twice…"Alright you heard him he declined so this argument is over"

"NO, IT'S NOT"

"No?"

"I'M TO HYPE RIGHT NOW FOR A FIGHT SO INSTEAD I'LL ACCEPT ANYONE TO FIGHT ME OR I'LL STAY HERE AND HOG THE TRAINING DUMMY ALL DAY IF I HAVE TOO"

"Is there anyone who willing to fight him in the arena"

No one steps up to the circle to challenge the man.

"WHAT ABOUT YOU MR. MUSCLE BRAIN"

"You know I can't and even if I can you won't be able to walk after the fight"

"SURE SURE JUST KEEP TALKING OR TALK WITH YOUR ACTION IN THE FIGHT"

The circle begins to break up and everyone walks away.

"Come on Ember lets go it's over"

"Not yet, if a C tier is as strong as these people think since everyone is scared gets my blood going. I haven't had a decent fight since I came to this world since those three people at the store yesterday was so weak it wasn't even fun"

"I WILL TAKE IP YOUR CHALLENGE!" Ember yelling at the top of his lungs.

"What are you saying Ember he's a tier C and close to B"

The training hogger turns around…

"OHH WE HAVE A NEW CHALLENGE LET GET THIS GOING SHELL WE?"

The area around Ember suddenly went into silence and everyone looks at Ember.
