3 Dumped

Kate and Zedd had seen the argument between Karl and Leigh and Kate was curious to know what did Karl say to make Leigh so angry. Leigh was a very patient and calm girl, she would hardly get mad at anyone or anything for that matter she was a jolly and fun loving girl but at the same time she was innocent and would trust people easily and Kate knew it.

On their way home they both were silent, Leigh didn't talk or initiate any conversation and just kept walking, Kate couldn't help but ask her what had happened and why was she so furious at Karl that she emitted a cold aura even after walking away from him. Because from where Kate and Zedd sat they could clearly see them arguing but they weren't able to hear even a slight bit of their conversation, and when they left the park Karl was nowhere to be seen. Kate was curious and wanted to know what pissed her best friend off so much so she broke the silence and asked "Leigh? ", Leigh replied with a faint "Yeah" then Kate continued "What happened back there at the park? why were you so furious at Karl? What did he say?" Leigh didn't reply for a moment but after a moment she shook her head and said "Nothing..He just wanted to talk I guess... " and looked away as if to avoid Kate's gaze which was focused on her. Kate knew it wasn't just what she said and she knew Karl had been avoiding Leigh for a while now and suddenly showed up at the park with Zedd, and when she saw Leigh's reaction after seeing Karl wasn't pleasant or even near it she knew that something isn't right and Leigh has been hiding something from her. She faced Leigh and held her by her shoulders and turned her so they were standing face to face and then calmly asked her "Leigh, I know it's not just that and there's more to it which you've not been wanting to talk about. What's wrong? What did he tell you? Did he hurt you?" after hearing Kate's questions all thrown at her at once Leigh bit her bottom lip and pressed her lips into a thin line as if she were struggling to keep her words from coming out of her mouth but then sighed and said "He wanted me to give him another chance" after listening to her words Kate was wondering what made Leigh not forgive him so she asked Leigh "So what did you say? Also why was he avoiding lately? What's going on with the both of you?" while crossing her hands in front of her chest. Leigh knew Kate won't let her go until she hears the truth so she sighed and told her "I'll tell you everything on our way home, let's not talk in the middle of the road we're getting late anyway and it's getting dark so let's walk and I'll tell you everything". With this they both started walking and Leigh told Kate everything Karl did and also told her the reason he was avoiding her. After listening to the story Kate asked "So now why is he coming back to you? Could it be that he realised that he liked you and not her? " as Kate said this her eyes lit up but Leigh knew it wasn't that way, she rolled her eyes at Kate and said "No! He came back to me because she cheated on him with his best friend and dumped his sorry ass", as soon as Leigh said the last sentence Kate looked at her a with wide eyes, she was shocked but not only because he cheated but also at his audacity and shamelessness to come back to Leigh street avoiding her all this time. She took a moment to process all the information thrown at her and said "What? He avoided you and now that he got dumped he's coming back to you. I can't believe he's so shameless and has the audacity to ask you to give him another chance" Kate was fuming with anger, her face looked so red and it looked like she'll rip his balls apart if he would even dare to come in front of her or Leigh. When Leigh saw her face she burst out laughing and told Kate "With all that anger you look like a red balloon which is about to burst" she couldn't help but laugh "Oh god! Haha, Kate you look like you'll cut him in two if you even see him now" Kate was actually thinking of doing this to him though and as soon as she heard Leigh say it she looked at her and said "I swear I'd do that to him Leigh, he better not appear in front of me ever again or he's gonna be as good as dead" after Kate finished her sentence, Leigh looked at her and smiled at her and told "Don't worry Kate, we're never getting back together" after she said this she threw her arm over Kate's shoulder and said "Now let's not talk about it and spoil the mood" and they walked back home.

By the time they were home it was already dark and Leigh was tired and starving after the long run she took in order to avoid her ex who got dumped. And because of the run and then the walk she took home she was drenched in sweat and felt all sticky, as soon as she went home she hopped in the bathroom to get a nice shower and calm her nerves. After taking a nice and long shower she ate dinner and was laying in bed with her phone.
