Prologue

They were known all over the land, and across the seas too. Skilled with the sword, proficient with the bow and having the highest affinity for magic for well over a hundred years. They kept the empire of Arkshoka safe, from enemies both within and outside. Be it the barbaric raiders from the borders, the frequent hordes of demons, or the occasional usurper, they safeguarded the empire.

They were everywhere. In the military force, political advisors, scientists, professors, doctors. They excelled everywhere. For generations, the family is known far and beyond. They have never been Royalty. But they might as well have been. If the emperor was the performer, they would be the people who worked backstage.
