4 Bulletin Board Quests

They gained a lot of exp from that fight. Their exp bar before was only at 26% even after killing those many Wild Horned Rabbits. But now, it was now at 53%. Although that fight almost insta killed two of Jayce's friends, it was definitely worth it. Stephen was already near the area when the Elite monster died so he still got the exp and coin drops.

Two common ranked lvl 3 items were dropped by the Elite monster. One was a chestplate for the Warrior and other was a robe. The item rarity in ascending order is Ordinary then Common, Uncommon, Advanced, Rare, Epic, Mythical, Legendary and finally, Transcendent. The stats and bonuses an ordinary weapon has is inferior by a considerable amount compared to a common ranked item. Such as, an ordinary beginner staff could give +5 magic power while a common ranked item would give around the range of +8 to +10.

"Good stuff. Usually ordinary ranked items would be mainly dropped during this time of the game. We can easily get 100 silvers for this common ranked items if we can find a suitable buyer.. but we won't do that. Let's use this for ourselves." (Stephen)

All of them agreed on what Stephen said. Luckily there's no penalty in dying before level 10, but there's durability reduction in the equipped items. If Stephen dies ten more times, all of the items he's wearing would be destroyed and that would be a major setback right from the beginning.

"Let's submit our quests before another Elite will spawn." (Lance)

When they submitted their quest scrolls back, the four of them reached lvl 2 at 30%. Quests give out huge exp that's why it is really recommended to get them.

"Do you have any more quests that needs to be done?"

Jayce asked the attendant in the Mage Tower.

"Not for now. You can check the bulletin board in the center of the village. Hurry because there are only limited requests available."

"Okay, thank you!"

Jayce bowed and hurriedly went to the Bulletin Board. There were apparently many people trying to snag quests from there. Requests would be posted on the board and only a limited amount of players can get it, according to the attendant.

For example, a subjugation request for "30 Wild Fierce Boars" can only accepted by twenty parties and after the number has exceeded the limit, the request would be automatically removed from the Bulletin Board. These requests are automatically shared to the party that the player is in. If there are two quests with the same content, objective and name, only one will take effect. The maximum amount of quests a party can take from the Bulletin Board are three. Those three quests must be completed and submitted together before you can take another set of quest. Each individual can only complete 4 sets of request, meaning 12 quests per day.

The Bulletin Board also has different types of request such as Escort, Subjugation of monsters, Gathering, Hunting a specific Elite, Sending a letter and many more. It will refresh everyday, filling it again with more requests. Mostly gathering and subjugation requests would be posted in the bulletin board.

After a few steps, he received a message from Stephen.

"I got three quests already guys. Let's fulfill them immediately. I also have precious information about the bulletin board so let's gather up on the north gate."

Jayce went ahead to the north gate and saw Stephen and Lance.

"Where's Arthur?"

"He's still on his way. The Warrior's Ground is near the south gate." (Stephen)

"I see, no problem. Let's wait for him before heading out."

"What was the precious info you were talking about, Stephen?" (Lance)

"Well.. the system does not allow multitasking on board quests." (Stephen)

"What do you mean?"

"To be specific, the quest objective can only be fulfilled if all of the party members are together. Such as if you kill a boar and one of your party member is still at the town, the kill won't count on the quest. You need to be at the same area." (Stephen)

"How about the quest that we have now? Killing twenty Wild Fierce Boars and gathering fify Hokyaku herbs, these can be all done in open field right?" (Lance)

Right at that moment, Arthur arrived.

"Sorry guys, I was late. What did I miss?" (Arthur)

"Nothing much. We were just discussing a few things."

"Now that this brute is here--" (Stephen)

"Hey, who the heck you calling a brute?!" (Arthur)

Both Jayce and Lance just chuckled in response.

"--I will now discuss what we're going to do. First, you, Jayce and Lance will go and kill the boars. I will prioritize gathering the herbs. It's still the same area anyway so it's okay." (Stephen)

"Alright then, let's go while we're on the roll."

----

Jayce's team arrived at the open plains. The game just recently opened for a few hours now and all players were rushing to pump up their levels.

They proceeded to enact their game plan. The third quest was actually to hunt an Elite Wild Horned Rabbit so it was gonna be exciting again. After they levelled up to 2, each player would be given only 3 stat points instead of the usual 5 points. Jayce placed all of the 3 stat points so Intelligence which would boost his maximum mana and add magical power.

While they were hunting Wild Fierce Boars, the three of them noticed a five man party nearby. They had two warriors, two mages and one archer. One warrior had a greatsword while the other had a sword and shield.

"Those guys.. they're getting closer and closer to us." (Lance)

"It's unavoidable. The spawn area of fierce boars is lesser than the horned rabbits. With so many people hunting boars, there would be conflicts abound."

"Tsk.. let them come and I'll give them a piece of my strength." (Arthur)

They were clearly dissatisfied. The mobs around Jayce's team was getting thinner due to the nearby party. They had five people so their killing speed would be faster.

The other party also noticed Jayce's team. The mobs in this area were clearly not enough for the both of them. One of the mages, named Sturdy Maple, talked in their team chat in regards to their current situation.

"What should we do? We still need twenty boars so finish the quest." (Sturdy Maple)

"It's better to avoid conflict early on." (Willful Blade)

The warrior with the sword and shield responded to Maple's concern. The other members did not voice out their opinion because they were busy in eliminating the boar.

But another surprising thing happened, an Elite Fierce Boar spawned just in middle of both parties.

"..."

Stephen, who was just nearby, immediately shouted instructions. He knew that there would be a battle, both PvP and PvE.

"Jayce! Fireball!" (Stephen)

Jayce immediately chanted a Fireball spell. The other party noticed it quickly. Sturdy Maple and the other mage, Thorns Abound, casted Fireball also. In actuality, mages would be casting spells using the system's assistance.

When players reach lvl 5, they gain another free skill that the attendant of their respective profession halls would give them. This will be also the time where manual and assisted casting be an option. But in Jayce's case, casting spells seem to be natural at all. It was as if he was born in this world.

Sturdy Maple and Thorns Abound both casted Fireball. It took them 2.5 seconds to finish casting it while Jayce only took 2 seconds therefore his Fireball was thrown earlier. The enemy party had an archer but the arrow that they shot missed the Elite monster. Jayce's Fireball was on point. The boar's face was directly hit.

-20!

Then the battle erupted between the two parties.
