9 [Godspeed].

-{Mahald Emrys/0916}-

As I sat on the dirt-filled ground of the military courtyard, I began to meditate a habit I had picked up in my stay in the forest as I needed to be calm at all times and it was surprisingly a good substitute for sleep. Although I could only do it a few times before my body would demand rest. While in meditation I could still actively think which proved to be difficult right now as I seem to have the mother of headaches. It seemed to have been dialed down a lot because it was so painful when I woke up. It hurt trying to remember stuff reminded me of the time me and a couple of friends got so drunk the hangover lasted days.

I had not expected much from the mandatory cadets meeting but I have to say I am glad I came. All the information made me so excited. Unique skills,

The Wrathful Warriors. The sheer size of the Eastern Empire shook me as while I was expecting it to be big I was not expecting it to be this large. I wondered if the strength of Vorth Dawnsun hailed as one of the 7 sins of the Armoured Division capable of commanding 700 of Lieutenant Colonel Aloin's calibre. I hoped to meet the other 'Sins' and maybe see their strength.

Although the Lieutenant colonel's challenge was a bit out of the blue I guess it was logical. Separating the wheat from the chaff was a very simple tactic to see who possessed what was needed.

I viewed this as an easily task as I more than anyone knew the capabilities my new body had possessed capable of leaping up tree tens of feet in height with ease and capable of punching the skull of a wolf and various other animals with ease and without the augmentation and power boost my Unique Skill [Unrelenting] granted me.

Also knowledge about my race was also kind of a hint to my improved state; it seemed as my evolution to [Awakened Human] granted a further boost to my already supernatural capabilities.

At first I was curious about what [The Scholar] , a name I had given to the apathetic female voice, had meant but it seems knowledge of it was already in my head.

I had easily completed the task under the 4 hour mark. After the Lieutenant Colonel's motivational speech I had sat on the floor to meditate in an attempt to mitigate the growing headache. Back in the forest to prevent my early death I had created a sort of early attack detection system, a combination of the skills [Sixth Sense], [Parallel Thought] and [Thought Acceleration].

[Sixth Sense] warned me about incoming danger and threats but in meditation I wouldn't be able to hear the warnings so I combination with [Parallel Thought] using my super senses I was able to tell an attack was coming and the other thought stream would activate [Thought Acceleration] which would give me enough time to wake up and react to whatever danger there was.

Now you might be asking, Why not just have [Thought Acceleration] on at all times.

Because it was physically taxing on my mind and body. While in the forest I had tried to go to the max limit of 1000x I had spent exactly 1 second in that state before my body collapsed from the sheer mental stress imposed by my mind. I had been training in order to know my limits and increase the time I was able to spend in the state of a 1000x thought increase. But I encountered a problem though I was unable to move while my thoughts where accelerated by that much and thus I came up with a solution one that used a majority of my current skill set.

It had taken me a while to be able to even apply the idea to use this. So it went like this I combined the sub skills of [Unrelenting] and those of [Superior Mind] alongside the Common Skill's [Strong Body] and [Sever] and also the Extra Skills [Minor Regeneration] and [Body Strengthening].

It started with me using one of [Superior Mind] subskill's [Thought Acceleration] I first accelerated my thoughts to 780 times the max I could take without my body going into a near catatonic state. Then I proceed to use [Unrelenting]'s [Power Augmentation] throughout my entire body granting me improved physical capabilities. At this point it gets precise as I assign a job to one of my thought streams. It's job is to use [Sever] to cut the air in front of me using very precise techniques while at first it is easy it gets more difficult the faster I go thus the sheer amount of technique and calculation needed to be done by the thought stream having to consider drag and other elements constantly doing equations in order to map out the most efficient route that results in the least loss of energy. With me facing the least amount of resistance from air and other elements I then use [Strong Body] and [Minor Regeneration]alongside [Mending] effects to fix the injured muscles I had torn from the sheer force I pushed off with. Due to [Strong Body] and [Power Augmentation] I had way more strength than even my Awakened Human physique could handle so I constantly had to regenerate the torn ligaments and muscles which on its own required precise use of [Model Deconstruction] to break apart my body within my mind and know what needed to be fixed with the most urgency a job I had assigned to another thought stream.

There was also the issue of momentum and energy conservation things I had to take into account in order to know the precise amount of force needed to go where. This is where [Model Reconstruction] and [Model Deconstruction] alongside [Hyper Analysis] once again made their appearance.

Using [Hyper Analysis] capabilities to scan and record my location in real time using my super senses as the medium for gathering the data. Then with that data which [Model Deconstruction] broke down into the most basic form and using another thought stream to find the most optimal route. Data which I had been sent to [Model Reconstruction] rendering a 3d version of the exact location with the most optimal route drawn.

This truly was the peak culmination of a month worth of effort practicing and perfecting this technique. While there is still room for improvement I believe this truly utilizes all my abilities to their full capabilities.

In short the ability to enter a different state of time while retaining my mental faculties and physical capabilities. It was truly a domain none of my future opponents would be able to reach.

The state of [Godspeed].

With the use of [Strong Body][Sever][Power Augmentation][Mending][Thought Acceleration][Parallel Thought][Minor Regeneration][Hyper Analysis][Model Deconstruction][Model Reconstruction].

A total of ten skills were required to reach this state. But the technique really hinged on one particular ability that being [Parallel Thought]. The precise calculations and managing the effects of all the ability while keeping the energy loss and efficiency rates at the most reasonable levels would not be possible with the skill.

With [Godspeed] being one of my trump cards in case things ever went south and I needed to fight someone vastly stronger than me or to escape. As quick as possible.

Bringing my mind back to the Cadet meetings with [Sixth Sense] going off and [Thought Acceleration] jolting me out of my meditative state only to open up my eyes to see a leg right in front of me in a still position. In my caution I had turned up [Thought Acceleration] to the max

Quickly dialing it back down before the wave of fatigue hits. I dialed it down to a reasonable level with the kick now coming towards me at a faster rate than it was before but not enough to hit me before I could react. I wondered what exactly prompted this reaction as it soon became clear to me, in my meditative trance I had ignored him. I didn't particularly leave any instructions on dealing with interactions to the thought stream I left in charge. The skill [Parallel Thinking] its thought streams behaved more like AI's rather than a human as it would require an input to get results. So instead of working autonomously I would have to prompt it to get results basically functioning as extra me's without conscience or active thought.

Realizing this would be a good chance to test my mettle against other Cadet's while I knew I ranked pretty high I wanted to see how high. "Knowing thine enemy and knowing yourself. You need not fear the results of a hundred battles." Sun Tzu.

[Godspeed] 10%.

I grinned as I activated [Godspeed] mode but not to its full power, around 10% of its total capacity. In this mode I do not use [Sever] as that would be overkill. Which allowed me leeway to choose my method of attack

Deciding in just a clash of raw strength I contorted my body in ways I was previously unable to back on earth as I sprung up from my meditative position and meeting his kick with a kick of my own with the only ounce of technique within the kick coming from the few taekwondo lessons I had taken as a child.

Deactivating [Thought Acceleration] and returning back to my normal perception of time I watched as his leg and mine collided with each other.

*FSSOH*

The moment our legs had touched I felt a tinge of pain spread out from my leg. Something that had truly surprised me as I had expected this to be a totally unfair matchup.

I looked up to see the boy in front of me truly taking in the beauty of his appearance. By my old world's standards he'd be a model at least.

His ash blonde hair fluttering from the wind generated from our clash and his lean body in full display with muscles adorned all over. I saw as his emerald eyes opened up in shock at me reacting to and even matching his attack. It was at that moment I realized he was exactly like me. He was an [Awakened Human]. Thus explaining the pain I had felt from earlier.

"Hey what was that for?" I called out to him in hopes of de-escalating the situation and to prevent drawing the other cadets attention, a job I seemed to have failed at, seeing I had most of the cadets staring at both of us with shock filled faces probably wondering what had occurred.

"How did you react to that? That quickly too. I was sure I was the only one here and the strongest one too, it seems someone was hiding." He said back to me having once again gained his composure.

"I'm not at liberty to disclose that to you." I said in as monotone a voice as I could muster.

"Tell me your name, I should have heard of someone as strong as you." He said his previous joking tone nowhere to be seen as a hint of threat and caution laced his tone.

Not being intimidated by his subtle threat I responded in the same manner I had previously "Once again I'm not at liberty to share that information with you."

"Oh I see I understand. It's ok then I will just have to force the information out of you!" Seemingly triggered by my previous statement and my condescending tone he charged at me. Once again reactivate [Godspeed] which I had previously stopped using to preserve my energy.

"[Godspeed] 25%" with the use of this much it meant I had actively recognized him as a threat and would dispose of him as such.

Sprinting towards him and having already formed the most optimal route in my head. I appeared behind hoping to knock him out as cleanly as possible. To my utter shock the youth turned his head to behind as I appeared behind him. A little bit of shock could be seen on his face which was soon wiped off and replaced with a cold glare as something hand happened that once again shocked me.

"[Godspeed] 25%]" The youth called out.

He had managed to somehow copy my ability and technique. At first I thought it was a bluff but to be sure I back off as quickly as possible. And to my utter horror the youth had managed to follow me. With a stupid smirk gracing his face once he had seen my reaction to his duplication of my technique.

He had stepped into the same realm as me. He infringed onto my absolute territory! A cold rage silently seeped through my entire being as I felt a myriad of emotions at the youth's acts.

Humiliation, disgust and most of all rage. This fucking copycat. I worked for that, I busted my ass off for that. To practice it and to create it and here you are mocking me with it.

"I'll fucking kill you, you goddamn copycat!" I said as an inexplicable rage exited through my words.

"Ohhh how scary." The youth said in a mocking tone showing no signs of fatigue or even inexperience. "Hey this is a pretty good technique for my collection."

All of this served to enrage me even more as it seemed that would be the straw that broke the camel's back.

I felt a voice in my head that seemed to feed on all this rage and amplify it farther tell me I must not let him leave alive as it would be illogical. I had never expected to use it this soon, and with that I let go of all inhibitions as I muttered to no one in particular .

"[Godspeed] 100%."
