24 Test.

The fight didn't take long, after the first hit Marcus started to fight in the same manner as yesterday with the bully. As the match went on Marcus was getting better with Eternal Snake Fist, and soon he overpowered his opponent.

With every fight, Marcus was getting better at Eternal Snake Fist. He slowly was finding his style of fighting. At the end of the fight, his opponent wanted to say something but was unable to do so. Marcus didn't wait and left.

There was still few hours before sunset, so Marcus left the school grounds and went into the city. He wanted to find two things in the city. A place he can make money and where to spend it.

He wants to buy items that have lightning energy in them; it will allow him to speed up his Cultivation. Walking around and asking a few times, he found a shop in a dark alley. From what he was told; this shop had almost everything, but the owner was very... eccentric.

A sign saying 'Black Whale' was hanging above the door. Entering the shop, Marcus saw shelves filled with items, many unique, beautiful and dangerous looking.

"Hello."

There was no response. Marcus walked deeper into the shop. Looking at the items, Marcus was looking for one suitable for him.

And in a far corner, he found one. It was a dagger, with a beautiful profile, on the handle there was a snake biting onto its tail.

Marcus had a feeling that this was a weapon for him. He extended his hand and reached out for it.

"What do you think you are doing?"

Hearing a voice behind him, Marcus jumped up from fear. The voice was like Mr.Ethan's voice. Ethereal and mysterious. Looking back Marcus saw a middle-aged woman.

She was looking at him with a smile.

"It's not good to steal. If you want something from my shop, you need to pay with something of equivalent value."

"I..."

"Interesting..."

Before Marcus was able to apologize, he was interrupted by the women. She was looking at him with curiosity in her eyes. At one point Marcus felt as if she was at his very soul.

"I see... so you met Ethan. That explains why elemental energy is present in your body. He also gave you Es? I understand, and it's the latest version? What?! He connected it with a pocket dimension?! As you expect from Ethan."

Marcus froze. The moment he heard Mr.Ethan's name his heart stopped and hearing all of his secrets his body lost all feeling.

"Do... you know Mr.Ethan?"

"Do I know him? Of course, he... fine I won't say anything. Boy, I can't tell you anything but since you are one of Ethan's I will let you take that dagger, but it's under one condition. I will give you a small test, what do you say?"

Marcus wasn't sure what is going on. Why did she stop talking? She knows Mr.Ethan; just this is enough for Marcus not to dare to ask any questions she can't answer. But she gave him an offer that is of great value.

She said the test would be a small one, but considering her mysterious background, it won't be an easy one. Looking back at the dagger he felt that it is calling him. He wasn't sure what is happening to him, but he needs that dagger.

"I will do it."

"Good."

With a smile on her face, she put her palm on Marcus's head.

Everything disappeared in Marcus's eyes there was only pure darkness. He couldn't feel his body; he couldn't see anything, he couldn't hear anything. In the darkness suddenly a vertical eye opened, he felt its stare, and this was the only thing he could feel.

Suddenly the eye and the darkness disappeared, he was now in a room with grey walls and black door. He felt fear of opening these doors; it was like that eye was behind them.

Pushing that fear down, he walked up to the door and opened them, behind the door was a grey wall.

The walls around started to waver, and soon mouths showed on them. Marcus backed to the center of the room. He had no idea what is going on. This is supposed to be a test?

Looking around he noticed that only the wall behind the doors was empty of the mouths, walking up to it Marcus touche it and his hand went through it without any resistance.

Holding his breath, Marcus stepped forward and behind he saw the Hundred Temples City.

He saw himself in the armor of lightning fighting the old man, dozens of people were charging at him but to no effect as lightning from his lightning priced through them living a bloody hole.

Marcus didn't know why is he seeing this but his body started to move, he couldn't control it. Soon he was close to himself, and lightning purged through his chest.

Marcus stared at the blood on his hands, his own blood. Blinking the blood disappeared, and his hands were clean again. But he still felt the warm blood dripping down his fingers.

Looking up he was in the capital city. It was a dark alley; many people were surrounding him. In front was a woman. Everyone was laughing; he was also laughing. With a flash of light and a loud sound, few people fell with smoking holes in their chests.

Frozen in place he couldn't move, seeing the dead people he knew what will happen to him. His body moved, and soon all the feeling in his body was gone. Only blood and smoke in front of him.

His vision went dark and in front of him was the vertical eye again. It was looking at him, and it blinked. And when it opened again, it was a mouth.

"Did you learn?"

The voice was deep and omnipresent. It sounded through his bones and muscles.

Marcus didn't know what is going on, but the answer to this question will determine if he can succeed
