8 Rage
"What?! You can't do that!"
Zhi Ruo shouted in anger. Marcus was just stunned, the other party just plainly refused him, without any reason.
"I can, and I just did."
"But why? He did nothing wrong!"
"He is just too WEAK."
One word. Weak. He may not be powerful yet, but he definitely was not weak anymore! Rage filled Marcus's body, the energy in his body surged up and started to leak out of his body creating a suit of armour made from lightning.
"I'm not weak…"
Marcus voice was low,yet his voice was clearly audible as if coming from depths of hell, the lightning surrounding his body was like thousands of birds chirping.
The man and Zhi Ruo felt huge pressure on their bodies.
The man, Cheng Gang, was the branch leader of the hunting guild. The only reason that he was at the reception was because the receptionist was sick. Feeling the pressure on his body, he quickly gathered Qi from his dantian to resist it. In a matter of seconds the pressure he felt decreased, but with his current strength, he still felt pressure! Es voice sounded out in Marcus's head, and with it Marcus realized what he is doing. He sucked all of his energy back into his core, and with it the lightning armour disappeared. Still angry he cracked his neck and turned around and started walking away with Zhi Ruo right after him.
Seeing the young man leave Cheng Gang panicked, someone like this had to join the hunters guild!
He jumped over the counter and grabbed Marcus's hand. Marcus tried to directly free his hand, but found that the man's hand was like an iron claw.
"You can join if you want. I'm sorry for being rude before, i was blind to not see your talent."
"..."
This man was crazy! But Marcus didn't hold the grudge. And being able to join the hunters guild will bring only good to him.

After talking with Cheng Gang, Marcus and Zhi Ruo left the hall.

Cheng Gang was sitting in his office, thinking back to the meeting with Marcus he felt satisfied. He was able to recruit someone with great potential, if he is able to send him to headquarters as a recruit for hunters guild, he may even get a promotion if Marcus showed great potential.
His plans for Marcus needed time, he knew that even though Marcus's cultivation was not apparent he must be special.

Separating with Zhi Ruo, Marcus decided to go back to the forest. Not having any money to rent a room he decided to spend the night in the forest and maybe hunt something. There was no limit to when he has to deliver his first catch so there was no hurry.
Currently, his energy was 15.3, meaning he can compete with rank two spiritual beasts. In the evening he found a place to sleep, and after making one round of practice he went to the library and looked for information on how to track animals. Soon he fell asleep. Waking up in the morning he felt refreshed and lively. The forest was quiet and peaceful. Marcus knew it was going to be a good day. He then spent another hour reading books in the library before going down and starting to look for tracks.
