Chapter 40 : Her opinion

I and Sethar just come back from our duty and are looking at the monitor at the wall. I think his learning speed is not bad because he has already learned the basics of fighting in just a year of being in another world.

I sometimes see him training with his sniper rifle and I think he has improved. His incredible calculation ability, astonishing accuracy, and calmness sometimes make me shiver because there is one time when he shot at a bird that is flying one kilometer above the forest. Well, if I say it like that, it is not very impressive but, Embra was running when he shot at that bird.

Yep. He was training his stamina and breathing so, he tries to shoot at a bird high up in the sky while running and he hit it. The flock of five birds is shot down with five continuous shot from Embra while running. If he has gifts of marksmanship or an extra gift at range weapons, I would have understood but, he has no such gifts or talent. It was his own calculation ability.

In that one year, he learned how to regulate his breathing for running the long run and how he can slow his heart rate to catch his breath quickly after a run. His stamina has increased a lot and his body is also taking shape and he is becoming ripped. His chakra training is also not bad for a beginner. And so, by the end of one year, the time for Sethar to teach him has come and my dear sister is nagging me again.

"Please Sister Dewei, think about this again. Do you want me to give Embra, basic training of Valkyrie? Even if it is a basic, with his intelligence, he would become quite a ... monster. Normally, it takes about three years and every basic is covered like how one should position oneself in different scenarios of combat, basic footwork, basic CQC, basic stealth, basic mindset of a warrior, and basic swordsmanship. It is nothing fancy but, there is a lot to cover. The training would be considered finished if the trainee can get a passing grade in six subjects I mentioned above.

And, if I remember right, Sethar finished that course in one year and three months. Since then, she is recognized as a combat genius and tactical expert in heaven. There were many who wanted her but, luckily I got her. Well, I will talk about this at another time. For now, let's see how my Embra would fare against this training?

One year later,

One year. It took Embra exactly one year to complete the basic Valkyrie training.

"Sethar? no matter how much you don't want to teach him, did you ... left some stuff out?" (Keinnayi)

"Sister Dewei. No matter how much I don't want to, I would never cut corners in teaching someone combat ability. Especially, the basic Valkyrie training, I myself went through. The third year, Embra is training in chakra and Haki. Hm. Good choice. He is slowly becoming stronger step by step and he is on the right track too. But, it colors my surprise when I see that Embra only has one affinity, Lightning. It is a surprise but, his affinity really reflects his personality. Embra is not the type of 'Jack of all trade'.

He is the type to hone one single element to the limit. In his past life, he honed his calculation ability and I was dumbfounded when I read his past memories on how he trained his brain. It almost looks like torture in my eyes. But, the result is tremendous. He even carried his calculation ability to the next lives. Wow.

One day Goddess Lashili contacted me and inquire about Embra. She asked me whether I have done something to his affinity and his combat ability. It seems she saw Embra's training in the illusion world. But, I honestly answered him that I did not do anything besides giving him some gifts and basic Valkyrie training. Well, there is no rule stating that mortals cannot learn the basic Valkyrie training. So, there is no problem.

She checks Embra's status from the system and praises Embra on his growth, especially his combat ability. I don't know why but, I feel proud. Maybe because she is praising my h-husband. *chuckle*

In the fourth year, I see Embra started to train in real combat in the illusion world. As usual, he has a great battle sense and astonishing analysis ability. He overpowers his opponent in just nine minutes since the battle starts and kills him. I give him a passing mark for that and he continues the one vs one battle with the characters I made from the mangas and animes.

But, while I was congratulating him and clapping for him, Sethar sighs softly beside me. Hm? I was about to ask her what happened but, I soon got the answer. Embra taunted the guide system. Well, let's use the word 'challenge' here. He challenges the guide system which I made using my knowledge from the heavens and from the Earth. I can confidently say that the intelligence I incorporated into the system is far, far advanced than any of the Earth's artificial intelligence.

And, my dear Embra has challenged him. I can almost foresee the result because I make it so that the system has the same personality as me. Of course, it does not have its own soul or it is a living being but, well, let's just say it is because I made the system have the same personality as mine. I hate losing and whenever I was looked down, I retaliate it using every bit of my power.

It was the same for the system. While Embra is resting from exhaustion, the system is running full throttle. It is using all of its resources and intelligence to make an algorithm that will defeat Embra by using all of the fights that I inputted into its databases. They are the combat data from animes, mangas, and movies. And, the system is now analyzing all the combat data it has in its database and creating a new algorithm. Moreover, it makes it so that its algorithm is always evolving using live combat data from Embra.

The result, there is no need to ask, Embra did not even last two minutes. He lost even though Eve is fighting Embra using the same strength. I thought he would be disheartened but, with his personality, I think, he will rise again and challenge the system. ... Yep. Embra challenges the system again. It is not just once or twice, he challenges it till the time in the illusion world runs out. Because, it is the illusion world that he can control as he wishes and, Embra heal himself again and again just to challenge the system.

It seems Embra has decided to defeat the system's combat algorithm. Oh dear. I anticipated that he will not give up easily but, he decided to challenge the system from then on every time he goes into the illusion world. The battles in the illusion world become more intense and by now, they have fought over 3452 battles and this is the first time Embra win.

Days become months and by the third month, since he first challenged the system, he can overpower the system in every 10 battles. His winning rate from the start of the challenge was one in 3452 battles to one in 3000 battles to one in 2400 battles to one in 2000 battles to one in 1000 battles to one in 500 battles to one in 100 battle and finally, he won one battle in every 10 battles against the system.

*Speechless*

How is this even possible? It should not be impossible. The system is using every weapon available to it while Embra is only using a single Katana and hidden weapons. There is not even a bit of chakra or jutsu involved except for the footwork techniques that both parties are using. ... What is happening?

I turn towards Sethar who is as speechless as I am. Sethar is the one who helps me creates the combat algorithms of the guide system and she spent nearly three years creating it. The system's algorithm is always learning and evolving based on every fight and battles it analyzed. Moreover, the system should also be learning from Embra and analyzing his every movement to create the most effective algorithm against him...

So, the only possibility left is that Embra's analysis ability, calculation power, and his combat sense surpass that of the system I created. *sucked a breath* Did I not do my job properly?

It seems Embra is not satisfied yet because he tells the system to increase the opponents. Till now, he has been fighting one on one with the system. So, starting from the third month, the battles become one vs two, one vs three, and finally one vs four, in the system's favor. The weapons Embra used has not changed yet. He is still using one Katana and hidden weapons while the system is using all weapons including modern weapons.

By the end of the sixth month, since Embra starts challenging the system, he makes a step in the way of the sword and creates his own swordsmanship. The fights Embra and the system had so far amounted to a total of 35,267,442. Among the total thirty-five million battles they have fought, Embra won just 8 220 450, eight million battles.

This is not the number to be looked down on because Embra's opponent is a system that is ever-evolving and learning in every given second. So, it should not be possible for him to win just ten battles, much less than eight million. Seriously, did I do a bad job at creating the system?

"No, Sister Dewei. The algorithms I wrote in the system is like my other brain. I have inputted the data of millions of different fights in thousands of different weapons. I can say for sure, even if I fight with the system using the same amount of strength and speed, I would only win one in fifteen fights even with my experience.
