12 Stick To The Script!

The building where Sunshine Entertainment was located had three stories and a basement.

The first floor had the reception area, several meeting rooms and lounge areas for the employees (artistes, managers, assistants etc.)

The second floor was where the managerial offices and the offices of all the different departments were located and the basement had storage rooms and practice and recording studios. As for the top floor of the building, it was where the president's office was located.

It wasn't long before the counter on the elevator showed that they had reached the third floor, yet the doors didn't open.

Moving to the side, Isabel flipped open a panel and entered a string of numbers, it was only then that the doors slid open with a resounding 'ding!'

When the doors opened, the first thing that Isabel saw was a large office—to be honest, it was a living room that had been fashioned into an office. Yup, that's right! The president of Sunshine Entertainment had set up his office, smackdab in the middle of his living room. The third floor was actually his apartment.

Crossing the thresh hold, Isabel entered the 'office' and looked around, but a trace of the all-important president couldn't be seen anywhere.

"Did Mason sleep out last night?" Davina wondered aloud as she dropped down into one of the sofas. "I'll text Sophie to find out where he is."

Sophie was the president of Sunshine Entertainment, Mason Brown's, personal secretary who was also his friend and nanny from since childhood.

Usually, to get up here to the office, people would have to stop off at the second floor first to make their business known to Sophie who would then call up to make sure the president was unoccupied before accompanying the visitor in the lift and punching in the password to allow them access.

Despite them being like family, a president's office in a company was still no place that just every Tom, Jack and Harry could barge into, so unlike Isabel and Davina who obviously had special privileges, there were very few of the other artistes who knew the to password the upstairs apartment and would also have to check with Sophie before being allowed to come up.

"Gah! I'm not getting on to Sophie. Did she maybe turn off her phone? Sophie never turns off her phone, why choose today?" Davina was mumbling to herself. "Maybe we should leave..."

Leaning against the wall, Isabel's eyes looked over the pleasant and inviting layout and décor of the room which was actually designed by her then her eyes slowly made their way up to the second floor, precisely to the bedroom door and she made a cheeky smile.

Glancing at the back of Davina's head as the other woman was jabbing at her phone screen in frustration; Isabel began to slowly slip away.

"So... I'm gonna go ahead and check the bedroom just to be sure. Okay?"

"Hmm?" Davina looked up to see Isabel making small and seemingly casual but quick steps toward the stair case and her face visibly paled.

"Wait! Izzy, don't go up there!"

Hearing the other woman tripping over herself to rush and stop her, Isabel's hear skipped a beat and she squealed as she widened her gait and flew up the metal stairs. Standing at the top while hopping from foot to foot and giggling at Davin who was sprawled on the ground, Isabel gave a happy twirl and skipped off toward the forbidden door.

"Isabel, don't open it!"

Hearing the obvious anxiety and panic in Davina's voice, Isabel's hands shook and paused just over the door knob.

She had already experienced the next ten years and she knew exactly what Davina was trying to hide from her and really, she didn't think the matter itself was much of a big deal. But recalling how her past self had used this information to ruin Davina's public image and even caused the entire company to take a huge hit; she could understand why they had wanted to keep it from her.

If it wasn't for the fact that the members of their company were so close knit and devoted, Sunshine would have crumbled into dust. Yet even then they still didn't abandon her, though some people drew away from her, which was understandable.

However, this time was different, she was different and she was not going to allow anything or anyone to harm the people that she loved and cared about. She would become stronger, she was determined to stand tall, to be a shelter that could provide relief for the hearts of those closest to her. As for her own heart, once she had her children, that was all she ever could need to stand strong.

Exhaling once, Isabel ignored the clattering footsteps coming up the stairs and grinned like the cat that got the cream before throwing the door open with a loud and fervent shout of "Good morning!"

Reaching the top just as Isabel threw the bedroom doors open, Davina almost fainted and rolled right back down to the bottom when the scene inside was exposed.

Two men, one big and tan, one slender and pale, naked as the day god made them and tangled together with the sheets barely covering anything. God! Good god, just kill her now and please don't let Izzy asphyxiate to death.

She was trying her best to act calm from the moment she arrived because she had noticed a familiar green scarf on one of the sofas. She had gifted that scarf to a particular artiste that she had recently gotten close to for Christmas the year before. An artiste who she knew had a very special relationship with the president.

She had been hoping to lead Isabel's thoughts in the direction of Mason not being here then getting her to leave, but who would think the devil would suddenly poke this young lady into doing what she was always told not to do!

But to her surprise, although Isabel had adopted a look of surprise for a while and her cheeks had turned red, in the next second, it turned to one of curiosity.

Isabel tilted her head to one side as she observed the situation in the room then Davina felt as though she would vomit blood because she realized that the brat was actually checking out the two naked men.

Her eyes carried that look that they usually did when she was checking out 'good goods' and her eyebrows were dancing around, arching from left to right as she nodded approvingly every once in a while.

Oh ghosts! Could this girl ever stick to the script once in a while?!

Although Davina was glad, very glad that Isabel hadn't freaked out upon finding that the president she worshiped as an older brother was gay and was dating one of her co-workers, this level of calm and acceptance was baffling.

In this day and age, acceptance of the LGBTQI wasn't exactly wide spread and most people of the society- members and supporters alike- were very low key even to their close friends and relatives and places like clubs and social circles where they could meet and express themselves were pretty much non-existent and almost seen as illegal. Isabel's open minded and unguarded approach to the situation was... astonishing to say the least.

Suddenly, Davina heard Isabel giggle, then, before she could process anything, like a child on a Saturday morning, she rushed into the room and threw herself on the bed, right in the middle of the two men.

Gross!! Hey, do even know what fluids haven't been on those sheets?! Davina shuddered.

"Wake up! Sonny, Ivan, wake up, wake up! It's already so late, wake up!"

Looking at the grown woman bouncing on the bed and acting like a six year old, Davina felt her eye twitch then she sighed in resignation. That was it, this was the end. She would never, ever, ever again waste her brain power on try to understand Isabel Jaeger, no-- it was Isabel Rogers.

As for the two men who had just been ambushed and were still under attack, they had both already rolled out of bed, falling on the floor as they looked at Isabel in surprise.

"Is- Isabel?!!"

"Good morning Mr. Leron." She giggled like a silly little girl at the handsome young man whose arms were wrapped around himself in a futile attempt to conceal his condition.

Ivan Leron had originally been scouted by Sunshine as a model with his charming good looks that stood out a hundred to one in a crowd, but the withdrawn twenty six year old shunned that kind of attention; however, once he showed his outstanding talent in music, no one tried to continue pushing him down the modeling path and for the past five years, ever since his first single was released, the name 'Leron' always occupied a spot in the top ten on the billboard.

However, despite his popularity, not many people knew what this idol looked like. There were no pictures of him available to the public and very little information about his personal life was known.

Even in Sunshine Ivan was treated as someone with a special status since he was the only artiste in the company so far to have gone international and it was probably also due to his aloof and noble-like temperament. It made it somewhat difficult for people to approach him and the fact that Ivan himself wasn't a very outgoing person didn't help the situation either.

"Isabel? Is it really Izzy?"

"What's the matter chief? Did you put in so much work last night that you're so tired you can't even recognize me?"

Flashing a teasing grin at Ivan who was now quickly covering himself with a bed sheet while a blush streaked furiously across his pale skin that was littered with kiss marks, Isabel passed the thick pair of glasses from the nightstand to the tall, lean and muscular man sitting casually on the floor although he wasn't wearing a stitch of clothing, knowing that he couldn't see well beyond his nose without them.

"Izzy!" Finally able to recognize the bouncing blob on the bed as the little sister he had informally adopted, the mouth corners of the usually expressionless man curved up and his eyes softened into a smile full of affection.

"Your back. How was the shoot?"

"Fun!"

"Are you okay?"

"Great!"

"Are you sure?" Mason suddenly frowned. "There have been some rumors floating around lately."

"Rumors?" Isabel titled her head slightly to one side as she thought then her eyes suddenly flashed an astute light when she recalled the matter she had placed in a certain person's hands and she smiled mischievously.

"Are you talking about my divorce?"

"So it's true?"

The temperature in the room suddenly fell by a few degrees and Ivan and Davina who were standing and talking in one corner shuddered while Isabel only laughed. She knew that Mason was angry for her sake.

"Sonny, we'll talk about this later, okay. For now, you and Ivan get in the shower, no touchy-feely then get dressed. I'll head downstairs and start breakfast. Sophie still stocks your fridge, right?"

Seeing Mason nod as he stood up from the ground, the little birdie was about to flit out the door when she was caught by mama bird.

"What?" Isabel blinked her big golden eyes innocently at Davina who sighed.

She had just filled Ivan in on everything that happened earlier and the young man was also baffled by Isabel's behavior, but since it wasn't exactly a bad thing that she was accepting their identities, they decided not to dwell on it—Mason obviously wasn't.

"You also need a bath young lady." Davina reprimanded while turning Isabel down the hall toward the bathroom. "Like you said, Boss and Ivan 'put in a lot of work last night', and you just tousled around at the site, you're filthy. I'm not eating anything you cook in this state."

Thankfully, she always kept several pairs of changing clothes for Isabel in her car. She would have to make a trip down to grab some from her trunk while Isabel showered.

Geez! She was born an only child and didn't have any siblings and up to this age of thirty-two, she didn't have any kids of her own, but she wasn't complaining. Taking care of Isabel was already enough to fill her plate.

Two or so hours later, the four people sat down at the dining table to a sumptuous breakfast and it was very quiet.

While Isabel and Mason were simply focusing on savoring their first few bites of food, Ivan and Davina were filled with anxieties as they picked at theirs.

Several minutes into the meal, Isabel suddenly put down her utensils and propped her face in her hands as she smiled at the other people seated with her.

"So, were you guys ever planning on telling me that you were gay?"

Isabel's sudden question caused Ivan to choke on his toast and Davina spurted pineapple juice through her nose.
