11 Best Days of Her Life!

Monday morning, the first school day of the week; it was a new experience for Isabel.

Coming from her laid back life, ten years gone-to-come, Isabel was still used to sleeping late, waking up only when her manager called, moving around sluggishly to eat and wake herself up until her manager arrived at her apartment to rush her through the dressing process then race off to whatever work she had planned for the day, if she had any.

Through her own influence and Brycen pressuring them from above, Isabel's career took a huge hit. But, even if she had a terrible public image from all the torment she subjected Susan Walker to, Isabel was still very beautiful and had good acting skills, however if anyone wanted to hire her for anything, they had to think twice about offending Jaeger Corp that stood against her-so her job offers were few and tedious and she was constantly worn out, yet she still didn't forget to pester Susan and Brycen.

After following that schedule for the last eight or so years, suddenly having an alarm clock blare her awake at 5 o' clock then with hardly enough time to shake off her sleepy state, being thrown into the hell that was school morning preparation (with two kids, by herself) left Isabel half past dead.

"Damn! You look like crap Izzy." Davina pulled down her large sunglasses to better observe Isabel's disheveled state.

"Shh!" Isabel waved one hand wildly as she held her scarf covered head with the other. "Not so loud." She spoke in a loud whisper to which Davina chuckled while opening the back door for the twins before opening the front passenger door for Isabel to get into the black Audi and once she was in, Davina reclined the seat.

"Sleep a little, okay."

Isabel gave a grateful hum as she turned her head to the side and almost instantly fell asleep again. She was pooped! Who knew getting kids ready for school was so much work?

First she had to get them out of bed, then wake them up (there was a huge difference between the two, thank you), get them into the bath, make breakfast and lunch, get them out of the bath which surprisingly had to be negotiated. What's there to negotiate? Get outta the water!

Getting dressed was a war all by itself, thankfully, only one of her children was a complete brat who demanded help with every article of her clothing and also, Kim had been kind enough to have their uniforms ironed the day before, because really, if Isabel had needed to do it herself, all now they'd still be at it.

Pants, skirt, shirts times two, waist coats times two and blazers times two.

Also, would you believe that eating breakfast could be a task? She swore that from now on they would eat before wearing their uniforms. If Kim had only pressed one set of uniforms, Isabel would have puked blood for the shirt, waist coat and blazer that Phoenix drenched in milk.

She had only just experienced one morning-- not even half of what Kim had endured on her behalf for the past six- almost seven years. Isabel was determined to find a chance to repay Kim for all this time even though the little blonde woman always said she didn't need anything. Even if she didn't need it, she deserved it. 'Giving birth was not all it took to be a mother', Isabel had just stumbled upon the truth of this saying.

She had been reborn; yes, she was given a second chance, so she needed to grasp it firmly and focus on the things that mattered and for that to happen it would take a lot of effort and hard work.

This was real life, it wasn't some TV drama where she was the tragic protagonist of the last life, reborn to take revenge and stand at the peak with the help of some magic cheat; she was herself, only with the added advantage of wisdom over the years that she had earned from the experiences brought by her own wishful thinking and many terrible decisions. To change her fate, she needed to change herself; it had nothing to do with the people around her.

Of course, there were some things, events and people around her that she would need to 'take care' of, but Isabel wasn't so petty as to go around blaming all her past life's misfortunes on others. If she could afford to leave well enough alone and not stir up trouble, she would rather walk another route than the shortest one as long as it wasn't the crumbling one.

Isabel woke up when they dropped Kelvin and Phoenix off at the school gate, kissing the two goodbye then slept the rest of the way to the company.

Sunshine Entertainment was a small scale entertainment company that focused mainly on producing models and singers-Isabel was one of their very few actors, promoted only because the president believed in her talent and chose to support her.

Arriving at the underground parking lot of the old, three story building that was Sunshine Entertainment Company, Isabel popped out of the car, unraveling her head scarf and removing her glasses to look around at the nostalgic place.

If any person that wasn't familiar with Sunshine Entertainment were to come to this place and see the scene, they would probably wonder if they had stepped into the parking lot of an entertainment company or a gang spot in some ghetto.

The walls were filled with graffiti art of all kinds; winding letters and provocative pictures, rude slangs and empowerment slogans. Looking up, paint blotches covered the ceiling in a canvas of once marvelous, brightly colored fireworks that had faded with time and the columns, every single one, was filled with colorful palm prints and if one were to go closer to observe, carved primitively into the columns within every palm was a different name along with some other words.

These were the traces of almost every aspiring artistes that had passed through Sunshine Entertainment; those who made it to fame, those who faded into obscurity and also those who were still fighting to live the dream.

Somewhere out there, in that sea of hope, Isabel's name was also carved, immortalized with the dream she first had when she started on this road of entertainment, a dream she still wished to keep alive, just through different means.

Raising her hands above her head in a lazy stretch, Isabel grinned and walked several steps forward as she took in this familiar sight and couldn't help the small laugh that spilled from her lips.

When she first came to Sunshine Entertainment, Isabel was shy, withdrawn, negative and highly pessimistic, but the people she met here took her in, cleaned her up and offered her wings to fly-though, sometimes she wondered if they regretted it. She turned into quite a problem child after all.

Thirty or so years ago, Sunshine Entertainment had been running on the premise of quick and short term profit. They took in hopefuls by the droves, milked them for all they had then sent them tumbling down the shoot when they failed.

It was barely twelve or so years ago when the son of the founding president finally took over that things looked up for Sunshine. The company began to focus on quality rather than quantity with an actual long term goal, leaving the place with less than twenty artistes all together, however it's because they were so few that they all became very close, like a family and the cute Isabel was spoiled rotten by them, allowing her to grasp the reigns on all the mischief that unfolded within these walls.

From practical jokes to elaborate pranks, food fights and paint wars, tests of courage and abominable dares and also, a good old fashioned lock-in, cooping them all up for an impromptu sleepover in the company.

To put it simply, Sunshine was a family and Isabel was the pearl in everyone's palm; not even the cute new recruits could shake her status and even ten years in the future when she became the witch of A Country's entertainment circle and the entire company was suffering from malicious slander and numerous scandals, she would still have a place here.

In Sunshine, she did what she wanted, when she wanted and always managed to get away with it.Truly, these were the best days of her life; high school had nothing on them.

"Come on you, let's head up." Isabel tapped the car's roof to hurry Davina as she herself started for the elevator. "I want to see Sonny; it feels like it's been years."

Truthfully, it had been years for her since the last time she was able to stand and face the president of Sunshine Entertainment openly.

"Well, the fifth season did take a while to complete and we even went overseas for shooting... it really does feel like a long time."

Isabel only smiled at Davina's words but didn't reply as they boarded the elevator and set for the highest floor.
