7 Ch. 005. / Nenka Yayama Of Whole Sun Class 1-A (Don’t Forget About Percentage Evaluation.)

Black Pumpkin Specialization of Weapons & Humans Academy, shortened to PSOW&HA (which still happens to belong and doesn't roll off the tongue which is why everyone just calls it 'The Academy'). An academy meant for children who can transform into weapons called Asagao and Special Humans who can not only use these Asagai but utilize magic. This academy is one of the few where they host classes for non-combatant students, which is why it's one of the biggest academies that have transfers from different cities and even countries. The academy grants dorm rooms for students who come from far away places, there are two that are obviously separated by gender. Students who have found their trusted partners can live together with the academies permission. Opposite-sex partners have harder times getting cleared to live together because of the many cases that female Asagao's getting sexually assaulted by their partners. It's a very difficult situation indeed for the academy, which is why they recently came up with a solution.

For now, the academy must see that both partners' Sariyoku link is strong and both must have the same Percentage. Which now brings up a huge problem between Arumigi and Hijiri. One has a Percentage below 1% and the other has never even gotten her Percentage Evaluation. You can guess which ones' which.

Whole Sun Class - the class meant for Asagao and Specials who do not go on combat-based missions. These classes focus on education more than teaching the students how to fight but that isn't to say the combat-based classes focus on fighting more than education. Depending on which class letter you are, the harder the material. Since Hijiri transferred the day after Sir. Pumpkin accepted her, the school has nothing ready for her.

Her student ID, her rank, her Percentage - they don't even know what class to put her in. So as of right now, Hijiri Sesui is stuck in the non-combat Whole Sun Class 1-A, which is meant for the smartest kids. She's not allowed to receive any test, which to her is a blessing because she can barely multiply let alone divide.

"Uhm. . . erm. . ." Nenka Yayama looked at the sleeping Hijiri. She didn't know if she should wake the poor girl up. For a class representative, Nenka was way too soft-spoken and shy. She can barely keep the class in order when the teacher steps out. Nenka noticed that Hijiri was having trouble keeping up with the material, and would have offered to help if she wasn't so shy.

Hijiri's breathing slowed as her head tilted back and forth getting ready to fall any minute. Nenka was sitting right next to the girl but she couldn't do a single thing to wake Hijiri up. The seating arrangements in PSOW&HA (See what people mean? Hard to pronounce the initials; just stick to saying Academy) was quite different in other schools. For one thing, there weren't any desks! For every class, it was set up in a stadium-like way with the teacher's desk and a blackboard right in the middle. Hijiri sat in the third row right in the middle, it was very ballsy to try and sleep in class in a position like that.

"Miss. Sesui!!" The teacher threw chalk right in the middle of Hijiri's forehead, shooting her back into the stands behind her. It was like a whole slow-motion scene to someone like Nenka because she sat so close to the action. The dark-haired teen fell back on the ground with worried and disappointed eyes looking at her. "Wake up before I throw something at you!!" He yelled, causing the whole class to become dumbfounded.

'You threw something at her already... .' They all thought.

"Ah. . . ! Miss. Sesui, you're bleeding!" Nenka helped Hijiri up who was bleeding from the cut on her forehead. The teacher nodded in deep thought, his glasses were slipping off his forehead.

"I wonder how that could have happened!!?" He yelled opening his eyes revealing star-shaped pupils. "Miss. Yayama!!!" He yelled surprising the shy brunette who was holding up a very sleepy and confused Hijiri. "Take Miss. Sesui to the nurse! I will find the culprit who laid their hands on her."

'You're the one who threw chalk at her... .' The whole class was appalled at how clueless their teacher was.

"Um. . . um . . ."

"I don't see your legs moving!! Get going!!" He yelled swinging his coffee mug that was filled to the brim with steaming black coffee.

~~~
"Jeez! For a class meant for non-combat students, he sure is violent." Hijiri pouted angrily as she washed the cut in the nurses' bathroom.
"Um. . . um. . . . Miss. Sesui. . ." Nenka shyly handed Hijiri a towel as she walked out of the bathroom. "I-I'm sorry. . ." The brunette played around with her messily chopped hair not looking at Hijiri.
"For what?"
Hijiri followed Nenka's lead to the nurses' office. The teen was still extremely new to the school, hell, this is literally her second time being inside. There's a long silence between the two females, but Nenka eventually answers.
"Well. . . um. . . .If-if I had done a better job at waking you up-"
"There you are, Miss. Sesui." Tokiru walked up to the two girls not realizing she was interrupting their conversation. She takes off her glasses, as she wipes her tired eyes that have dark circles under their eyes. It was obvious Sir. Pumpkin was overworking her, normally the young woman looked extremely polished and serious. Her silky dark hair was pulled in a messy ponytail and her clothing - normally never had a wrinkle, looked as if they were just thrown on in a rush. "The Academy almost has everything set up for you, I just need you to come with me for your Percentage Evaluation. You come too, Miss. Yayama."
"Percentage Evaluation. . .?" Hijiri repeated looking at Nenka, confused.
"Oh, um you-you don't know about Percentage Evaluations? You're a Special Human, right??"
Hijiri sheepishly scratched the back of her head, showing an embarrassed smile. The two began to follow Tokiru down the hall. "Ah, well. . ."
"Percentage Evaluation is a percentage of how powerful you are. It mainly used to help find good partners for Asagao and Special Humans, but every living thing has a Percentage. It basically shows your power and you can increase it. . . well. . . not everyone can increase it. . ."
"Wait so if you have a low percentage, you can't change it? What happens if that person has a crappy percentage, they're just weak forever?"
"Percentage doesn't define your strength," Tokiru stated as she opened a door into a dark room that had a mess of books, maps, and in the middle, a huge blue orb. Tokiru pushed up her glasses, sighing deeply as she thought of Arumigi.
"We-well, if an Asagao has a low Percentage and can't change it, it is hard to find a partner. Also, an Asagao who can't learn any techniques or skills is just a useless Asagao. . ." Nenka added nervously. "Oh-oh, sorry. . . I look so mean if you have a low Percentage and can't change it huh. . .?"
Hijiri shook her head as she walked up to the orb. "No, I wouldn't get offended."
"Okay," Tokiru focused their attention on the orb. "After this you will be moved into the Crescent Moon Class."
"The same class as Arumigi??" Hijiri asked excitedly. Nenka took note of her excitement, becoming curious. It was like she became a totally different person, but only for that one minute. Hijiri noticed that her Sariyoku Vibrations changed for a split second into something quite chaotic.
"Ohh~ you're friends with Mr. Shimizu? I didn't think he got friendly with people that aren't forced to be partners. You know his percentage is-"
"Ahem!!" Tokiru coughed, snapping Nenka back into her shy demeanor. The young woman noticed that the brunette was acting out of character. "Miss. Yayama, please don't spread other students' personal information like you almost did."
"Oh-oh! I-I'm so sorry, Ms. Yoruzo! Pl-please forgive me, Miss. Sesui! I was out of line. . ." The brunette cried, rubbing her eyes under her long bangs. Hijiri tried to calm her down and tell her it was okay, but Nenka continued to blame herself.
Tokiru fixed her glasses feeling suspicious of Nenka for a second. She eventually made her way over to the crying girl also trying to get her to stop. Nenka ran out the room in tears, Hijiri almost ran after her but Tokiru stopped the girl.
"She'll be fine. Miss. Yayama is known to be sensitive."
Hijiri looked out the door then turned towards the young woman. "Ok."
"Now," Tokiru walked behind the blue orb gently grazing her hand over it. "Lift you hand over this and close your eyes. That's all you have to do,"
Hijiri nodded as she did what she was instructed to. She felt her hand heat up and the blue orb began to glow brightly. A number then appeared on the orb.
"32.5%" Tokiru was actually impressed by Hijiri's percentage. She's never seen someone with no inexperience with fighting have such a percentage. It wasn't too high but Hijiri was able to increase it later on. The problem would be Arumigi - he probably had the lowest percentage in all of Fall Country.
"Ms. Yoruzo?" A blonde-haired girl walked in with a small paper. Arumigi was beside her with his hands resting on his shoulders, his blazer was unbuttoned and his shirt was untucked. Her hair reached just above her shoulders, she was below average height and looked around Hijiri's age. She had pretty big breasts - slightly bigger than Hijiri. It was obvious even when her blazer was fully buttoned. "I'm here for my Percentage Evaluation." She showed a nervous smile as she walked in but something black quickly dashed past her. "Ahh!"
As the blonde girl fell forward, Arumigi managed to grab her wrist to steady her. A black cat jumped onto a bookcase. Hijiri pouted as she crossed her arms at the loud commotion.
"Be careful you idiot!" Arumigi scolded making sure the blonde was steady. She blushed in response but nodded as she walked up to Tokiru nervously. Hijiri didn't want to admit it but she was jealous that this random girl was getting all handsy with Arumigi.
"Miss. Calleja, you've been here for about 4 weeks and still haven't gotten an Evaluation?"
"Yes. . . sorry about that. . . I've been sick recently."
As the two begin to talk Hijiri steps away waiting for Tokiru to be done. Arumigi glanced at Hijiri not knowing what he should say to her. Last time the two talked, he had actually hurt her - someone who was able to use him longer than a minute. There was an awkward silence between the two, the only noise was Tokiru and the blonde girl talking. The black cat from before jumped down to Hijiri's foot. It rubbed against her, purring softly.
"What's a cat doing in a school?" Hijiri asked herself as she picked up the black cat. She noticed it had two different colored eyes; one green and one blue.
"Blair is a researcher studying different Sariyoku and Percentage Inheritance." Arumigi explained shoving his hands in his pockets. He didn't even look at Hijiri.
"But she's just a cat." And with those simple words, Blair jumped out of Hijiri's arms.
"Excuse you~! I am not just a cat!" The cat then transformed into a beautiful curvaceous woman who had long brown hair that was styled in two low braided ponytails. She was quite tall and. . . well naked. She didn't seem to care that Arumigi was right there; she just winked at him. "Now where's my hat!?"
Arumigi just stared at the naked woman amazed that she was so carefree. Hijiri shoved two fingers in his eyes trying to get him to look away.
"That's creepy Aru- I-I mean Shimizu!"
"Blair!!" Tokiru punched the naked woman on her head causing her large cat ears to droop with sadness.
"Owieee!!!" She cried, rubbing her head in pain.
"Leave this room now you three!" Tokiru shoved all three students out of the room so she could deal with Blair's inappropriate antics.
