83 I long for you

"T-they were here just moments ago." I couldn't help but stammer.

We had planned to stick together but we've been separated.

Sein turned to me, his head still facing the trees beyond. "Let's try finding them."

I gulped. "Shouldn't we just wait for them to find us?"

"I don't think that would work, Cal." he turned to me. "It's possible that all of them lost each other in the mess of the situation."

I blinked once. My heart staggered an unsteady beat. "What did you just call me?"

His lips curled. "I've been thinking about calling you by your nickname. You've been doing the same to me for a long time, after all."

It took an ounce of will to stop myself from smiling. "I don't have a nickname."

"I just gave you one," he lifted a nonchalant shoulder. "Cal."

I shook my head in disbelief. "This is not the time to be giving nicknames."
