9 Shawtie

"I know what you want to say," Sif said as soon as dinner was done and Thrud had gone to bed. Thor had put Mjolnir on its rack, listening to his wife. "But, I want to hear about your journey to Midgard first."

"There's not much to say," Thor said dismissively but Sif was insistent.

"You met them...the two who killed our boys. Are they alive?" she asked venomously.

"They do," he answered with a disappointed sigh. "The All Father has this fascination with the boy bordering obsession. I fought the Spartan, I was disappointed."

"What's there to be disappointed? Was he that weak?" she asked with a frown.

"He was holding himself back, Sif. The bastard killed Magni while holding back all the time," he said before looking her straight in her eyes. "Was I such a failure of a father that my sons should be killed by a washed up warrior to awaken me?" Sif hugged him, hard.

"You are not a failure," she said, comfortingly. "You are just struggling." Thor patted her back but Sif continued hugging him till a minute passed.

"What about Odin?" she questioned.

"What about him?" he asked back. "The bastard didn't think the deaths of our sons meant anything. The only reason I fought the Spartan was because he refused All Father's deal."

"Honey, you need to deal with this daddy issues you have. Otherwise, Thrud..." Thor got hold of her hand and kissed her knuckles tenderly.

"Thrud is a different story. I will not allow Odin to get his grubby hands on her," he assured her with absolute confidence. Sif was shocked by the looks in his eyes, they showed a new light unlike the dull ones he usually has.

"You have a plan?" she asked with budding hope.

"I do. If all goes well, both of my plans will start with a talk with the Ghost of Sparta," he answered. Sif frowned in displeasure.

"You would talk with him after what he has done?" she asked, her frown deepening even more. Thor chuckled a little apprehensively at her outburst.

"The god killer has something that we can use to finally kill Odin and be rid of the old bastard one and for all," he answered her. "In the quest to kill his own father, he gained something that makes him triumph over even the most powerful of his foes. He gets to weaponize the power of Hope."

"Hope?!" Sif said incredulously. "You are saying you are hoping everything over Hope?"

"Not everything," he answered. "That's just one plan of two."

"What's the other plan?" she asked, curiously. Thor did not answer, just looked at her with a blank stare. Sif took a seat in front of him, staring back at him.

"Will you..."

"Yes, for your and Thrud's safety, I will beat the responsibility," he answered and if this was One Piece, he would surely have awakened Conqueror's Halo. That was his determination given form. Sif took his hands and tenderly kissed his knuckles.

"You do not have to bear all of it. I am your wife," she said softly. Thor gave a loving smile.

"This is a burden too great to be shared, wife," he answered her, "and the consequences too great for me to willingly share it with you. But know this, I have loved you since you the time I saw you and will continue loving you." (A/N: I know, I know, simp alert. But, I honestly can say if I was in his shoes I would say I would be her simp. I am a sucker for tats...)

"So, what is this I hear about you training Thrud behind my back?" she asked, not really as angry as she was before. Thor smiled.

"She wants to be a Valkyrie. Why not be the controlling parents we know we are and control the kind of Valkyrie she will be. With my brawn and your brains, e en the Valkyrie Queen, Sigrun will be nothing but a baby in front of her," he answered.

"You have some belief I will help you train our daughter down that path, don't you?"

"I know you will, because you are a good mother,"

"Heh, emotionally blackmailing me, are you? There might be chance for you just yet," Sif said with a comfortable smile.
