1 PROLOGUE

NEVER in Eliza's life that her parent's got proud of her. She did everything to please them, she did everything that they say, she tried to be an obedient one. But why can't her parent's see her worth, her efforts?

She's always been on top in their school, she always get awards every school year, she always participated in all academic activities. But always ended up on getting rejected by her own parents, always seeing the mistakes of hers. Just like earlier, she passed the board exams, she ranked top one actually, but none of her parents nor relatives congratulates her. Her mother even scold her for choosing business industry instead of modeling.

She's tired of being unnoticeable, tired of doing her best to be the best in their eyes, she's tired pleasing them just to be proud of her.

Elizabeth Warren Grey, the most intelligent and strong woman in the town who always on top is now crying while driving to nowhere. She's weak and vulnerable at her state right now as she keeps on driving in the dark street. Still crying, remembering how unappreciated she was, she parked her car on the side.

She went out and looked down on the river below. The surroundings are quite dark for there is only one light in the area which is coming from the post.

"W-Why can't they a-appreciate me?" She asked in a low tone with her voice trembling.

Her ego was badly hurt, she can say. Her heart clenches everytime she remembers how they mistreated her.

"I wanna die..." she whispered in the air and sighed deeply. She shook her head when the thought of dying came into her mind.

She sadly starts walking on the woods on her side. Not thinking of what she might see. She don't care anymore if something bad happens to her, no one would worry to her anyways.

As she continue on walking, she can hear a small grunts from somewhere. Her back straightened as she sharpens her senses. She followed the sound of small grunts until she saw a man lying on the corner of the trees, bleeding and grunting in pain.

She panicked and was about to run to call for a help when the man spoke.

"D-Don't g-go," he pleaded as he weakly reached his hand to her. "H-Help me, d-don't l-leave me. P-Please."

Eliza took a deep breath before slowly reached the man's hand. She held his warm and big hands and used all her strength to make the man stand up. And thankfully, the man was able to stood up. He wrapped his arm to her shoulders, getting to force to stand up, while Eliza wrapped her arm to his waist and walks to her car.

She slowly deposit the man to her car's backseat and quickly sat on the driver's seat. She abruptly drove her car to the hospital when the man spoke in a shaking voice.

"B-Bring me t-to this a-address, p-please." He said and handed her the white card with the address on it.

Without hesitation, she drove her car to the given address as fast as she can.

"What happened to you?" She suddenly asked in the middle of the silence.

"E-Enemies," he answered.

Eliza nod and glanced at him. "Don't sleep, Mister. Hang on there, I'll help you."

The man just nodded weakly as Eliza stepped the accelerator hardly to accelerate the car faster to their destination.
