5 The Fifth Chapter

Walking down the corridor of the school, he finally reached the student council room. As usual, the door was closed for everyone except for those who are called by the council or are special like him and Rias along with her peerage.

He was in a good mood currently as in just two days, he would be able to increase his powers to a high level without worrying about future threats.

"Knock! knock!"

Knocking on the door twice, the door opened before the figure of Tsubaki was in front of him. A small smile was on her face when she saw him.

"I was waiting for you, Issei-san"

She spoke in a low tone while coming out to the room before she closed it again. He could not hear anything from the room so he could guess that all of them had returned to their respective classes.

"I apologise for my delay, my lady"

Issei spoke smiling, an amusing expression on his face. He was sure that he did not come late, it was her who was waiting for him too early.

"Hmmm"

She didn't reply to him, knowing it was her fault for waiting for him in the 3rd period when he told her that he would come in the fourth period.

Walking side by side, both of them started to move towards the entrance of the school. Many students saw them together and cursed him silently while cursing their bad luck to get any girl as well.

In just one day, one of the most hated people from this Academy was able to walk together with the prettiest girl in their school and right now, he was walking with another pretty girl who never looks at them.

"You should be careful, they might try to harm you"

Tsubaki spoke with an amusing tone while looking at the crowd who was glaring in their direction. She didn't care about them as they were nothing but a source of entertainment for her.

"What can I say? Walking with a beautiful girl like you is bound to attract hate towards me"

Issei spoke with a sad expression on his face while looking in the direction of the crowd, those boys were glaring at him with hate and jealousy.

Tsubaki just smiled at his reply though from inside she was happy about the compliment and it mattered a lot to her when it was coming from him of all people.

Even though she would never admit it, deep down, she was slightly jealous of the looks of both Rias, Akeno and even Sona, who were beautiful compared to her. Even she wanted to have those boys be stupefied when she smiles even if it was not in their direction.

For a guy, who was the boyfriend of the prettiest girl from their Academy, it sounded very genuine. After all, he was already dating Rias and when they both would get married in the future, Akeno would be with him as well. After all, once the king is down, you can take the peerage members of her as well.

After walking for some time, they were finally at the entrance gate before both of them got out.

"So where are we going?"

Tsubaki asked him curiously, looking forward to the place where he would take her to hang out. They were both standing outside of the gate as from here, Issei would take the lead.

She didn't care about the place, she wanted to spend some time with him to get to know him better or just end this date without any positive results in their favour.

"Hmmm? Follow me"

He spoke still smiling while walking towards the location of the park. Curiously, she followed behind him while trying to think of a place in this particular path.

According to his memories, the park was very simple 5 years ago, however, it all changed in the last 3 years. At the same time when the heiress of two clans came here to study. Now, it has many things which makes it more like an amusement park.

After some time, they finally reached the entrance of the park. It was very big though it was empty right now.

"I didn't know that you still have the heart to come here after what had happened with you here"

Tsubaki spoke amusingly, trying to get any sort of expression on his face, however, Issei didn't change his facial expression.

"It took some time to come out of it, Rias had helped me a lot to overcome that trauma"

Issei spoke with a calm expression however from his tone, it looked like he was hurt from inside.

She felt bad for asking such a stupid thing however when she heard about his girlfriend part, she couldn't help but be jealous of her. To get the chance to help him overcome something so big from his life, must be one of the reasons why he fell for her so easily.

Issei, who was looking at her face closely, smirked in victory. Whatever he spoke was just rubbish however it was still enough to get some sympathy points from her. Women are always a sucker for sad stories and he has one even if it was false.

Now, she would try to help him overcome something which he doesn't have. How could he have trauma when he was not the one who got killed by that fallen angel?

"Let's go inside, shall we?"

He asked her with a smile on his face to which she nodded hesitatingly. She didn't want him to go to a place where he had experienced awful things.

Still, she went inside the Park with him with a determined expression on her face. So what if his girlfriend has helped him overcome it? She could tell that he was still traumatised from inside and she must make him forget those memories.

"Wanna swing together?"

Issei suddenly spoke with a smile while pointing towards a slide at one of the corners of the Park. It was very long, enough for them to slide on it for at least 5 minutes straight.

Tsubaki was very conflicted from the inside since she can't decide whether to say yes and enjoy herself. Or say no and keep her serious demeanour for eternity.

After pondering on it for what seemed like an eternity in her mind, she still could not make a decision. She wanted to do both things simultaneously however it was impossible.

"Don't try to make excuses, remember you are on a date so enjoy yourself"

Issei interrupted her rapid thoughts while grabbing her hand, taking her towards the location of that slide.

Her hesitation vanished from her mind the moment he reminded her that they were on a date. She was thinking too hard about this. After all, the guy with whom she is going on a date might be her future husband as well, so she should not control herself.

A small blush suddenly appeared on her face when she recalled how many times she had called him her future husband even though it was their first date.

She sat on the slide with straight legs while he sat right behind her. Propelling themselves slightly, both of them moved at fast speed.

Getting a sudden idea, he called upon his mana before using it to accelerate themselves even faster than before.

"Ahhh….! It's so fast"

Tsubaki spoke with a grin on her face while her hair was swaying in the air due to the speed of the wind. She was enjoying herself without having to restrain herself to act serious all the time.

Issei smiled looking at her back, right now, she was acting like a little kid and it was cute. He continued to use his mana to speed up the speed of the ride.

After ending their first ride, both of them started to take other swings as well. A happy smile was on their faces while they laughed together.

"Haha, it was so much fun, Ise-kun"

Tsubaki spoke gasping for breath after trying all the swings from the park and there were more than 20 types of swings. A beautiful smile was on her face, some drops of sweat were on her forehead.

"I'm glad you liked this, Tsubaki-chan"

Issei spoke, trying to catch his rigid breathing, wiping off the sweat from his forehead. He was smiling lightly while they were both sitting on a desk.

Although she didn't notice it, Issei noticed her sudden change of calling his name. She was now acting more friendly with him without hiding behind that serious persona she had created.

"Let's go back, it's time"

Tsubaki spoke with a suddenly serious expression while standing up. Issei facepalmed thinking he praised her too early.

"All right, let's get going"

Issei spoke with a calm expression while standing up. She nodded at him before she started to walk towards the exit.

Issei followed behind her with a strange expression, he wanted to spend more time here, alas, she was not Rias who would agree with him easily.

While they were walking towards the school, Issei noticed an ice cream shop standing near a house. With a smile, he walked towards it before buying two for them.

Tsubaki was walking ahead of him so she didn't notice him leaving to get ice cream. Issei quickly made his way towards her while making sure that those two ice creams would not fall.

"Tsubaki-chan, here"

He shouted, pushing one ice cream towards her. She turned to look at him only to see an ice cream coming towards her.

"Thanks, Ise-kun"

She spoke smiling while taking the ice cream. Since she doesn't need to restrain herself around him, she easily accepted it.

They both slowed down their speed of walking so they could savour the taste wholly. The sun was shining very brightly which was enough for them to feel a lot of heat so ice cream was what they needed.

After eating the ice cream, they continued to walk at normal speed. The school gate was just some distance away when Tsubaki suddenly stopped in her tracks, confusing Issei.

"What's wrong, Tsubaki-chan?"

Issei asked with a confused expression, looking towards her back. Did she forget something or is it something else?

Instead of replying to him, she turned towards him before walking closer to him. A small blush was on her cheeks with her heartbeat getting frenzy.

Leaning slightly forwards towards his face, she kissed him on the right cheek before speaking in a shy tone.

"I loved today's date and this was my reward to you, Ise-kun"

"So I have successfully invaded your heart"

Issei spoke smiling, not caring about her embarrassment. From now on, he can get a cheek kiss from her without any problems.

Tsubaki puffed at him before walking towards the school hurriedly. Her heartbeat was still in a frenzy along with her blush. A small smile appeared on her face when she recalled his words, still, those words were not inaccurate.

Issei amusingly looked at her while she kept walking hurriedly before entering the school. Their date was one hour long which means there is still a period left before everyone would be free.

Right now, he has a lot of time in his hand as he is not going back to the class. Putting his hands in his pocket, he started to walk towards the school, his club precisely.

Right now, he was very weak compared to the future villains who were coming to start a war between the factions. He needed to be strong otherwise he would end up as dead meat.

Even though he can't train his body as he would get only a minimal boost, he can still train in controlling mana and learning new magic. These two things are what he needs the most and they would still be helpful for him in the future.

Many students saw him outside of the class so they all started to shout at him however he didn't pay attention to them instead went his way, angering them even more.

After walking for some time, he was finally at the entrance of the Occult Club room. Entering inside it slowly, he saw no one in the room.

Taking a seat on the couch, he closed his eyes to enter his mindscape again where Ddraig resides. He needed someone who knows a lot of things and someone who has lived for countless years, Ddraig was the perfect choice for a teacher.

"Partner, do you think that you can teach me magic?"

Issei asked loudly in the mindscape, walking up the dragon from his beauty sleep. The area was still covered in flames though Ddraig was sleeping on them.

"It Depends On The Type Of Magic You Want To Learn As There Are Countless Branches Of It"

Hearing his partner's words, Issei started to ponder about the types of magic he wants to learn which would come in handy in the future.

"Can you teach me rune magic which allows one to use words to give effects to the objects or person?"

Issei spoke confusedly, even though he didn't know what type of magic he wanted to learn. All he wants is a type of magic that would follow his words and give him this specific effect.

"This Type Of Magic Can Be Used By Devil Magic As Well, Partner. I Can Teach You The Symbols And You Can Use Your Devil Magic To Make It Happen"

Issei nodded at the dragon with a smile on his face. He was unsure if he could use the Norse magic with the devil magic but now, his worries are gone. Now, he can truly start to train himself along with others to become strong.

"Now Let Me Teach You, Partner, The Way, In Which My Asgardian Host Used To Learn That Runic Magic"

This one hour for him was more productive than any of his other entire days. The amount of knowledge he got to learn was immense and he was sure that no one has this knowledge except for the beings who are here before the start of the world.

With his unknown ability to learn things faster, he was able to reach the level of adeptness in an hour. In Asgardian terms, he was a master-level rune caster due to their lack of knowledge.

The only person who could have been better than him would have been Odin's father, however, that guy is dead and so only Odin was currently better than him. The more these arts are passed down in generations, the worse they were getting as people were removing things from them without caring about the consequences.

Right now, he knows enough to cast runes with his mana and this method is way better than writing on a stone or person manually as it gives you more freedom in a battle.

Even though Ddraig was a prideful dragon, when it comes to teaching him, he goes into a strict teacher mode. He would not tolerate any mistakes and he would not let your hopes get high without getting any positive results.

It seems that the Asgardian host used to live in the time when the father of Odin was still alive though barely. It explains the reason how his partner was able to learn this type of magic and that too to an advanced level.

He even asked his partner a question that was bugging him for a long time. The question was why Ddraig was not talking outside of the sacred gear and not nagging him constantly? It was shown in anime that he had a personality like this, so why didn't he bother him in the outside world and surprisingly, he got the answer from him as well.

"I'm A Dragon, Not A Dog Who Would Bark In Every Minutes. I Only Nag To Those Who Don't Try To Become Strong And You Have Shown Me That You Are Not Like That So Why Should I bother You In Outside World?

You Are Living Your Life Not Mine, Partner. I'm Happy With My Sleep And I Have Seen The Outside World Enough So There Is Nothing For Me To Look Into Outside World."

So he wanted to say that he was not a bad host so Ddraig didn't bother to talk much. Still, it was a good decision because he would not have liked the constant bickering of a dragon.

Opening his eyes, he came back to the club room still there was no one present. He wanted to try some runes on his body as he was not gonna use them on others till he reached the level of an advanced runic magician.

Calling his mana outside of the body, he carefully turned it towards his back before writing "Flow Break". It would break his mana flow whenever he would try to control it. This way, he would be able to practice his control over mana.

Still, he had made some precautions in case something goes wrong with this rune. He can switch it on or off by his mana so it was not difficult. If something does go wrong then Ddraig is there to help him.

After the rune started to affect him, he could sense that his control over mana has gotten worse. An excited smile appeared on his face when he felt the challenge that would come with this.

Suddenly, the door of the club room opened, revealing many figures who were entering inside. Issei turned to look at the door stopping his practice over mana control.

" Ara! Ara!, Ise-kun was waiting for us"

Akeno spoke, smiling with a flirty tone. Behind her were Rias, Koneko and Kiba who smiled at him.

"I was waiting for you for an hour, Akeno-san"

Issei spoke with a tone of sadness while looking very sad. He was giving the expression of someone who was waiting for his lover for a long time.

"Stop it, Ise-kun"

Rias interrupted their flirtation with a jealous expression on her face. Issei along with Akeno chuckled in amusement.

Koneko didn't care about the drama as she was eating her sweets which appeared from nowhere. Kiba just laughed awkwardly before taking a seat on the couch.

"Did you skip your classes, Ise-kun?"

Rias asked seriously, taking her seat on the chair. Akeno took her seat on the couch near him which caused Rias to frown in displeasure.

Akeno only smirked in victory before deliberately getting close to his seat. Kiba didn't know whether to keep sitting or leave for another couch as things were getting out of hand.

"Yeah, they were boring anyway"

Issei spoke, shrugging off his shoulder causing Akeno to giggle since she could tell that Rias was mad at this.

"Then what exciting thing were you doing?"

Rias asked with a frown on her face, she can't let him skip classes when he is weak in that regard. Akeno looked at Issei wondering what he was doing at that time.

"Oh, I was on a date"

Issei spoke in a nonchalant manner ignoring the gazes he was receiving from everyone except Rias who was expecting this. Still, it hurts when your boyfriend gives his time to another girl instead of you.

"Ara! Cheating on Rias so early, how bold of you"

Akeno spoke in a flirty tone though he could sense the threat behind those words from her. As expected, she was her best friend and would not want her to get hurt by him, emotionally. Even though she already knows the girl with whom he has gone.

"He didn't cheat, Akeno. I expected something like this to happen so it doesn't matter. It's not like he is the one who is going behind those girls so we can't blame him"

Rias spoke calmly, shaking her head slightly. She doesn't understand why she is so calm? Maybe it's because he would always love her more than anybody.

Akeno, who heard her best friend's response, was at a loss for words. She never thought that one day her friend would share something of her without throwing a tantrum.

Unexpectedly, her eyes went towards the figure responsible for this change and she felt that he was not that bad. From his way of speaking, it does not seem that he was the one who went after that new girl. A feeling of gratitude emerged in her heart now that she looks at him.

Koneko was also looking at the boy who caused this sudden change in her king. She has spent her entire childhood with her king, how could she not know how many tantrums Rias shows when she doesn't get anything only for her.

Koneko's eyes now held new respect and gratitude for him. It seems the rumours were not true about him like she had initially believed. He was changing for good and real.

Kiba looked at her surprise before a smile appeared on his face. He always wanted her king to grow up mentally instead of acting like a child. Now that she is changing, she can finally be free from her family agreement.

Issei was cheering from inside right now, seeing those grateful looks he was getting from his fellow peerage members. Even he didn't know that she would grow up so fast without him having to teach her. A good thing for him since he can now finally be on a friendly term with everyone.

"Well, who's that girl anyway?"

Rias asked curiously, causing other members to look at her as some kind of ghost. After all, they didn't know that she didn't know the new girl. Yes, the new girl that's the name of that vice president.

"W-What? Why are you all looking at me with that kind of expression?"

Rias asked, stammering, feeling the constant stare she was getting from them. What was wrong with them anyway? To look at her like she was a dumb person or something, how rude of them.

"It's It is Tsubaki, Rias"

Akeno spoke, smiling at the reaction of Rias who was shocked at her words. Issei was chuckling in amusement because she looked quite cute with her current expression.

Well, even they were shocked when they heard it for the first time, after all, how could such a serious girl agree to go on a date with a guy who has the worst reputation in the entire academy along with his friends. If she was shocked to hear it from that girl's mouth.

"Oh..! It's good"

Rias spoke, sighing in relief for some reason. Others looked at her weirdly, this was some unexpected way of replying to such a question.

"What? I don't want him to date some useless girl. He needs girls who can help him to achieve something big and not be a burden on him for a lifetime "

Rias spoke with a calm expression, expressing her thoughts clearly. Even though they wanted to disagree with her but they didn't, the reason was that it was true.

She believed that he deserved better girls who could love him unconditionally and be at least useful for him in some kind of way. The Devil society is not that good if you are weak or have weak girls. Another reason was her pride, she can't become someone's wife who has useless women around him.

"Leaving that aside, when are you going to show me the way a peerage fights?"

Issei spoke with a small smile on his face, happy with the words of his girlfriend. She was slowly maturing into the perfect wife material for him.

"Ah! We would show you tonight since we have gotten a new stray devil to deal with"

Rias spoke embarrassed since she had forgotten about this. The others chuckled at her king's behaviour except for Koneko who just smiled slightly.

Rias stood up from her place before checking her drawer and taking a small bundle of papers. Giving these papers to Akeno, she motioned her to deliver them to Issei who was looking at their movements.

"These are your today work, finish them quickly"

Rias spoke in a serious tone while looking into his eyes. She kept looking at him for a second or two before averting her eyes to somewhere else with a mild blush on her cheeks.

She was slowly finding it hard to order him as her subordinate, she could only wish him to become stronger than her so no one would question his words or the decisions he would make for the peerage.

"Then, I would see you all in the evening"

He spoke smiling before standing up from his place; however he didn't walk towards the teleportation circle; instead, he walked towards Rias, confusing others with his action.

After reaching her position, he leaned forward before capturing her sweet lips with his rough lips. Her entire face turned crimson red in embarrassment knowing that her peerage members were watching her right now.

Kiba quickly turned his head towards another direction, embarrassed at the scene he just saw. Koneko didn't turn her head, instead, she lowered it in embarrassment, muttering "Ecchi" in a shy tone.

Among them, only Akeno was faring better, she kept looking at them. Her face had a slight blush while she looked at their tongues movements, feeling a little hot in her lower region.

"This is for being a good girl for me"

Issei spoke smiling, separating his lips from her before walking towards the transportation circle without caring about the look he was getting from others.

"Ara, Ara, Ise-kun, Would I get this reward if I become a good girl for you?"

Akeno spoke in her flirting tone, looking towards the figure of Issei. Her legs rubbing together without her knowing about it.

Rias was still processing the thing which just happened so she didn't listen to her. Koneko was paying attention to him while Kiba just tried to look somewhere else as if he was not listening to their conversation.

"If you wish, then I don't have any problem, Akeno-chan"

Issei spoke with a smirk while turning towards her slightly. Akeno didn't comment on the way, he was now calling her instead she nodded at him.

Deep down, he knew that it would take some time to get her as a girlfriend and he has a lot of time so there was no hurry. With this little thought, he teleported himself to the address of the first contract.

Tonight was going to be very interesting for him as tomorrow she would finally arrive in the town. Only after getting her, he can finally start phase 3 of the plan to become a powerful being.
