9 Twin Tailed Suspicion

AN = I feel so... dead? No... I don't know what to write about...? No... I'm so confused right now. Ugh! I don't know why but it's like my creativity, imagination, and writing skill just got a debuff. I don't know how to say it correctly!

-Homurahara Academy-

Walking down the hallway to his classroom, Shirou sighed as he remembered his dream this morning. It was the same field of swords, he kept getting ever since the start of the year... Although not everyday, it was still very weird to get the same one at least a few times a month.

Now however, he finally have a clue to why he kept getting them... His Origin and Element... Though he wasn't very sure, the fact that all of them are related to swords in some way are definitely not just a coincidence... He hope.

Kiana did say it was very special... Maybe it was because they're the same? Or maybe it was because it's not like a normal element... But what's confusing is what she meant by his origin being sword. Does that mean he was a weapon? A tool?

He felt it was wrong to think of it that way... but it also felt weirdly correct... She did say it defined who he was... But immediately after he realized what he just thought and was baffled by the mere fact he could think of himself that way. He shook his head and sighed, 'It's better if I ask Kiana about it more later.'

Opening the door to his classroom, two things got his attention. One was his classmates happily talking with their own friend groups and the other was the twin tailed girl smiling and talking with Ayako.

His mind just blanked for a moment before realizing that he was staring at her. Before he could look away however, the aqua eyes met with the golden brown. Shirou immediately panicked and looked away as he quickly went to his seat, while Rin just looked at him weirdly before going back to her conversation.

'Ahh... I forgot about her. What should I do?! Kiana did say she was trustworthy and good... but she also did say she couldn't trust her at the moment. So something must with her must be very untrustworthy or dangerous.'

He groaned tiredly and continued, 'Should I just go and ask her for help? Right now, we need someone to help out with magecraft. Especially after what happened to the shed, when we only tried to open our circuits. If that was just from opening circuits... what would happen to it when we screw up in magecraft?!'

"What's wrong Shirou? Sleep a bit later than usual?"

Shirou looked beside him in surprise and sighed in relief when it was just Issei, "Not really... I just had to do something here and there... It led me to know some... very important things and It's been bothering me ever since I left the house."

Issei hummed and shrugged, "Not the worst from what I've heard from you. If it was something illegal, I know you would go straight to the police or to Raiga... or do it yourself. If it makes you uncomfortable, you can rest up in the nurse's office. I don't think you can focus on class very well if you have something going on in your head."

Shirou shook his head and denied, "No... It's fine. I can focus... Besides, if I did leave for the nurse's office, Taiga would be looking for me after school to give me the quiz she's been making at home. So even when I leave for the nurse, I would still have to do it one way or another."

"She's giving us a quiz?!" A student who was behind him shouted in annoyance.

Shirou looked at the student in surprise as a chorus of irritated groans and 'Why?!' played out. He could only sweat dropped as Issei told them to be quiet... And warned that if they talked about it beforehand, Taiga would make a different one for the next day.

That made everyone quiet but not before giving the student who shouted a glare. Shirou sighed and caught a glimpse of Rin merely shrugging at the news and went back to talking with Ayako.

'She's not even concern about the quiz... I guess that's what you call a top student... or is it because she's a magus that things like this was a waste of time for her?' He thought before the door opened revealing Taiga with a bunch of paper in her hands.

"Everyone! We'll be doing quizzes today!"

Although everyone knew about it... Thanks to the anonymous student. They still groaned in annoyance and waited as she distributed the papers to them.

Looking down on the paper, Shirou sighed and decided it was better to focus on this for now... 'I wonder what Kiana's doing now...'

-Mitsuzuri Dojo-

"Come on! Give me your best punches! Remember to pull your fist back this time! Go!" Kiana shouted as she brought her hands up to guard.

The young boy merely nodded energetically and started punching her as strong as he could. A straight punch, followed by a another punch, before giving her a right hook. Although it wasn't that strong... Obviously. It was still better than before.

"Nice job! You did better this time. Next time I'll teach you a very powerful technique that will defeat all your enemies in a single move." Kiana said with a smug smile as she brought her hand down and pat the boy.

The boy merely pouted and asked, "Why not now? I did very good right?"

Kiana chuckled and shook her head sagely, "You did... for someone who just started a few weeks ago. When you are strong enough to use the technique, I'll tell you okay? But you must be diligent in your training or you would not be strong enough to use it."

"Hajime! It's time to go home!"

Kiana and the boy turned to his mother who waved at him to come over in surprise. The boy pouted and turned back to Kiana before giving her a hug, "Thank you for teaching me, Kiana Onee-chan! I'll do my best to get stronger!"

Kiana looked at the boy in surprise before having a soft smile on her face as she gave hugged him back, 'Is this what Himeko-sensei felt when she was teaching... I think I can get use to this...'

The hug lasted for a few seconds, before the boy walked to his mother with a face full of joy. Kiana could only sigh and watch as the two left the dojo... 'He reminds me so much of him... I really hope he's being a good brother to his sister while I'm gone... He better be...'

An impressed whistle sounded behind her as Maya's voice spoke, "It has only been your first shift and you got a kid attached to you already? You must have some kind of aura to get them closer... Makes me a bit jealous that it took me a while for the kids to open up to me."

Kiana turned her head back in surprise and sighed when it was only Maya behind her, "Don't come behind me like that... And there's no way I have that kind of aura... I just have some experience in handling kids... and it's fun to play around with them."

Maya just hummed in agreement as she sat beside her with a smile, "Yeah... I know how that feels... It makes me wonder how kids like these could grow up to thieves on the street."

Kiana just looked at the woman with a wry smile and asked, "Are you still angry at the guy who stole your wallet?"

Maya her mood quickly dropped as she clicked her tongue in annoyance and answered, "Of course, I do! If that wasn't my shopping wallet, I would have lost my credit card and other important things! Which would be very annoying for me to change and remake... Even if they did not taken anything, I would still go and beat their asses for trying in the first place."

Kiana sweat dropped and sighed as she watched the other students packing their stuff and ready to leave the dojo... 'Huh... Right, it's almost closing time... I should go back home and talk with Shirou about magecraft after this... We still have a lot to talk about.'

"Have you ever teach before?"

Kiana was caught off guard by the sudden question and looked at her in confusion, "That's a very sudden question... No... Why do you ask?"

Maya sighed and answered with a frown, "It's just... When you started helping the kids. You were a bit lost. You asked me a lot of questions and weren't doing very well in teaching them... But that was the first few hours. After that, you we're more patient and could help them fix their mistakes without getting frustrated. You gave good advices and can get them excited to train more. It's amazing for someone who 'supposedly' started teaching."

Kiana looked a bit surprise as she looked back to her first few hours... 'Right... I was very confused at the time... It must be my wish helping me because I definitely didn't know how I could make kids excited to learn... I would probably know how to make them bored instead.'

Kiana shrugged and answered, "I just know how to after the few hours of teaching different kids... Their patterns of thinking were similar to each other. So, I kept using the same way of teaching but alter it to fit the kids. I also only gave them advices that I've been given when I was started to learn how to fight."

"That's also what I'm a bit frustrated about." Maya said as she stared at Kiana's two different colored eyes in frustration, "You're eighteen and I'm already in my thirties, but even so, you seemed to be more capable in fighting than when I was in your age and now. You're much more stronger than I was and could endure more pain than Sai could... Because even he would try his best to dodge my attacks. So what kind of training do someone like you have to do in such a young age?"

Kiana merely frowned and thought, 'Of course, I would have been better than her... It's already unfair now, that I'm both a Herrscher and a Valkryie... But even then, I would still be a bit powerful than others because of being a genetic clone of Durandal and Sirin...

(AN = From the comments, I checked on what made K-423 and found out she was made by OG Kiana, Sirin's DNA, Core, and other stuff with the same technique used to create Theresa. That means she might have some honkai beast DNA since, Theresa is made by using Kallen's DNA and the honkai beast Vishnu. So she still would be stronger than the average eighteen year old.)

Then there was everything that had happened... Learning in St. Freya, Fighting Honkai Beasts and AE Mechs, fighting against Wendy... Getting kidnapped and turned into HoV... Causing the fourth Impact... Saving a city from a honkai bomb... God... I've been through a lot haven't I...'

With a sigh, she answered, "Let's just say, I've been through a lot of things... and would probably go through more. It's just how my life had been lately... I can't even be compared to a normal eighteen year old once you know what happened."

Maya frowned at the implications of her words before shaking her head and sighed, "That... Gave me a lot more questions then answers... I can't even imagine what you've been through to get this strong... And it seems to be some kind of secret you want to keep, so I'll leave it be."

Kiana could only gave her a comforting smile before watching the clock closing nearer to three, "I think we should start cleaning the place... Isn't it almost time to close?"

Maya just sighed and said, "Yeah... But you should go ahead and leave first, you already did more than I had expected you to do in your first day... Seriously... What assistant would go on to teach most of the kids in their first day of work... That's my job."

Kiana was going to deny but she suddenly felt the urge to go check on something, "Maya... I'm gonna go to the toilet first. After that I'm helping cleaning the place. It's my job after all."

Maya sighed and nodded as she continued staring at the now empty dojo.

Arriving in the bathroom, Kiana quickly turned to the closest mirror and frowned when she saw her right eye still yellow, 'How is this not disappearing? I thought this only happened when I run honkai through my body... Wait...'

Kiana suddenly got an idea and quickly brought her hand up. Four flaming wings burst into life inside her mind turning her circuits on. Blue circuits spread from the base of her arm to the tips of her fingers.

'The only time I had my energy run through was when I was opening my circuits... Is there still some left behind? But I can't feel anything like before...' She thought as she stared at the circuits. Nothing has shown up for a couple seconds before she finally saw a sliver of pink in that river of blue.

Her eyes widened in surprise as she tried to get a closer look but it was quickly covered by the magical energy running through her circuits. She could only sigh and frowned at her circuits, 'Guess that answered my question... But that little amount should not have changed anything to my body. I don't even feel any pain from it... Gah! I need to do more testing once I get back home. Maybe Shirou could help me out by giving me some of his thoughts.'

Looking at her reflection, Kiana sighed and muttered, "At least, I look like Void Drifter now... That's a plus, I guess..."

After she muttered those words, she could feel a bit of sadness and joy in her heart. Kiana could only sighed at her two conflicting emotions, "These two... I should probably stop calling them individually... Maybe that would help me making these two into one much faster... At least it isn't as bad as before."

Sighing once more, she looked at her reflection once more before flushing the toilet to not give Maya any suspicion. She opened the door and called Maya out, "Maya! I'm done. Let's go and clean the place up... Huh?"

It was a bit far but she could hear Maya talking with someone inside the dojo, 'Eh? We have visitors now? Aren't we suppose to close in a bit?'

Walking closer to the voices, she opened the dojo's door and saw Maya talking with three very familiar people...

Kiana's eyes widened in surprise when she saw them. The first was Shirou... Which didn't really surprise her as much as the other two, because he did ask where she was going to work this morning... But it was she didn't thought he would actually come here.

The second was a girl wearing the same uniform as him. She looked like a younger version of Maya with her brown hair and brown eyes... Though she could see some differences like her sharp eyes and more... Strong? Attractive? Cool? She didn't know how to put it but she looks good.

The third was another girl wearing the same uniform as the other two. She had aqua colored eyes and long dark brown hair up in twin tails. She was standing beside Ayako while watching the two having a conversation with Maya.

Kiana was going to retreat for the time being and make a plan to deal with it but Shirou saw her and called out, "Kiana!"

'There goes my escape...' She thought before sighing to herself and walk into the room. She put up a smile and responded, "Shirou! Why are you here? And you brought... friends."

Shirou raised an eyebrow at the pause before realizing what she was talking about. He could only give her a wry smile as he answered her question, "Ah... Well, I thought it was good idea to come to you and walk back home together."

Kiana could only sigh and nodded, "Thanks... I guess it's good to have someone to talk to while walking back home... Why are you looking at me like that?"

Her question was directed at Rin who was looking at her in both shock and suspicion before quickly turning back to normal, "Oh, nothing. I was just shock that the fake janitor could have such a good looking girlfriend."

""Girlfriend?"" The two asked in confusion before one of them realizes and blushed... Of course it wasn't Kiana. She had seen this kinds of misunderstandings too many times in the past. With a sigh, she explained, "No. We're not in a relationship. We are cousins."

""You're cousins with Shirou?"" Maya and Ayako asked in surprise.

Kiana nodded as Maya looked at her confused and muttered, "But you guys have no similarities at all... Are you really sure?"

"Of course, I'm sure. We both had checked it and found out his father was my uncle. I live with him now because of some family stuff. It's a bit personal..." She answered with a shrug.

Maya just hummed and nodded as Ayako looked at her up an down before saying, "Mom wasn't lying when she said you look very unique. With you're white hair and two different colored eyes, you look like some kind of main character."

Kiana smiled and thanked her for the compliment before realizing what she called Maya. 'Mom? She's her daughter?! Right! Those two have Mitsuzuri in their names! Maya did say something about having kids back at home. Never thought I would meet her parents before her.'

Kiana was going to say something but an alarm started playing loudly from Maya's purse. Maya's eyes widened in surprise as she quickly grab her phone and turned it off, "Ah! Right! I'm suppose to buy some ingredients after teaching!"

Kiana frowned and asked, "Don't we have something to do right now? You know... like cleaning the dojo?"

Maya froze and looked around the messy dojo before sighing to herself, "Right... We need to clean the place up..." She then looked at the trio who came before getting an idea, "Ayako! Can you and your friends help us clean the dojo? It will only take a while."

Ayako shrugged and said, "I and Shirou would definitely help but I don't know about Rin."

Shirou looked at Ayako and was going to say she didn't even ask him... but he knew he would have helped anyways.

All that's left was Rin. The four of them stared at the top student as she finally let out a sigh and agreed to helping them. It was probably her pride on being a top student and having nothing to do at the moment made her choose so... Kiana thought.

Tuna Tuna Tuna~!

'Is she for real...? She's not like those selfish magi?' She thought as she watch the white haired girl helping out Ayako's mom with a smile. She immediately shook her head and frowned, 'Don't be fooled by their appearance, Rin. She might just be faking it.'

Stacking some of the cones, she took another glimpse of the girl and caught her yellow eye once more. She grumbled in annoyance and thought, 'Why is she not hiding her mystic eye?! Shouldn't these things be kept hidden? Unless... It isn't and she has heterochromatic eyes... but the chances of that are slim...'

There's also Caren who told her she met someone with the same hair color who walked with her to the church. She even thought she was interesting! Caren doesn't think anything is interesting unless it's something unrelated to magic... Okay that might have been an exaggeration but still!

Placing her stack of cones back to the container, she sighed and rubbed her forehead in irritation, 'Worrying about this is going nowhere... Maybe living with those two had made me very paranoid. I should try and get some information about her myself... Those two aren't really the most trustworthy source of information.'

Locking the box, she looked around to see if there are any left to do and found a few broken pieces of planks on the floor. With a sigh, she went and picked them up as he continued, 'Maybe I should go ask Shirou, there might be something I could find from him... But if he's her cousin... That means he might have a chance to be a magus as well.'

Looking at Shirou who is happily cleaning with Ayako, she immediately shook her head, 'There is no way, he is a magus. That guys is known as the fake janitor and Sakura would have known about it... She would have known if he was some kind of evil person behind the scenes.'

"Oi, Rin! Why are you spacing out like that?" Ayako suddenly asked from her blindspot.

"Eek!" Rin quickly turned back and saw Ayako with a surprised face. She glared at the girl and said, "Don't just suddenly sneak up on me like that... And I was just lost in thought about Kiana..."

Ayako tilted her head with a confused expression before turning to shock and disbelief as she whispered to her ear, "I thought we're doing first to get a boyfriend! I mean, sure if you want to change it to first to get boyfriend/girlfriend that's fine with me-"

"Wha-No!" Rin blushed and quickly denied when she realized what Ayako was going to say, "I don't swing that way! I was only thinking how they were cousins in the first place. Just look at them. They have nothing that could be said similar in some way."

Ayako took a few moment to process that before giving a solemn nod, "I think I know why... I heard he was adopted by someone after something in the past."

'Adopted!?' She thought in surprise as she asked, "He's adopted?! How do you know such a thing?"

Ayako frowned and answered, "At first, I got it from a rumor but later on, Issei confirmed it with me that his parents died when he was young to the Great Fuyuki Fire. Of course I didn't say anything to the others because that would be an invasion of privacy and insensitive of me."

Rin nodded and frowned as she remembered the scene of the fire from afar... Even from there she could tell it was devastating. She suddenly felt pity for her classmate but knew it would take more than that to stop her from investigating those two.

As the second owner of the city, it is her job to know the magus living in the city and make sure they won't cause any trouble while staying here.

AN = Sorry if it wasn't very... Idk. I just can't write anything at the moment. Give me some suggestions on what to do next so I could spark this brain of mine.
