1 In My Dreams
It's 12 midnight and I'm still up. Staying in the balcony of my room while looking at the stars in the sky. The wind whispers through my ears and I feel the coldness of the night. I closed my eyes and a scenario flashed in my mind then I saw a boy. He's playing with me and we have the same blue jacket when we are playing outside.
"Who is he?" I whispered as I opened my eyes. I just sighed and sipped the glass of wine in my hand then I heard someone open the door in my room.
"Why are you still awake, Luna?" said Jaxon.
"I'm really curious how we met each other," I replied staring at him.
"What did I say to you before?" he asked.
"You saved me from a car accident," I said then I looked up again in the sky.
"Yahh, that's right! Now, go to your bed and stop drinking because we have our early transaction for tomorrow and don't forget to bring you guns and daggers," Jaxon commanded.
I always wonder how I learned to use guns, daggers, and rifles. Jaxon told me that I should bring any of this item whenever we have our transaction.
Jaxon is the leader of our hidden organization named GUDARIF wherein we delivered different kinds of guns, daggers, and rifles around the Philippines. He's older than me but it seems that we have the same age when we are talking to each other.
I am Luna, the assistant leader of Jaxon. Being an assistant leader of him is not easy. He trained me to become fearless and determined. I don't have a family anymore. All I have is Jaxon and he's the reason why I'm still living in this world but there's a part of me that was longing for someone who is important to me.
N E X T D A Y
After I ate my breakfast, I went to our secret place to check all the members and all the deliveries for today's transaction. It was an underground room that was built in Jaxon's white mansion. This was the room where all the process for the transaction was being made. There are long tables and chairs wherein the members are staying here to do their jobs and there are two other doors on the left side. The first door is our office and the other one is the training ground for the members.
"Where is Jaxon?" I asked our secretary.
"He's in the training area and I think he's talking to someone on the phone," he replied.
I looked for him in the training area while our new members were having their training and then I saw him shouting on his phone.
"Jaxon, what's the problem?" I asked.
"Fixed that or else you cannot come back here anymore!" He yelled on the other line.
Then he looked at me and said, "Luna, we need to go somewhere right now!"
"What? Are you serious? We need to finish our transaction for today Jaxon. What the hell is your problem?!" I exclaimed.
"Sir, there are people outside. They were looking for you," said the member "and Miss Luna". They both looked at me and Jaxon commanded, "Luna, let's go outside".
I followed him because I'm really confused about what's happening and I tried to ask him again while we were going outside the house.
"Jaxon! What is happen--,"
"Who are they?" I asked when I saw five men looking at us. They are wearing black shirts and pants. The man in the center was wearing a blue jacket and I think that's their leader. He is tall. He has a white skin and chinito eyes but he looks scary with his aura. I looked at him fearlessly then he made an eye to eye contact with me. He seems familiar to me with his jacket but I can't remember where I saw him.
"They are the competitors of our organization Luna," Jaxon said.
"Luna? She's not Luna. She is Amelia," The man with the blue jacket said.
"Yes! I am Luna and I'm not Amelia! What do you need from us?" I glared at him.
"What did you do to her Jaxon?!" He asked with confusion.
"Why, Charles? Are you scared of her? Are you scared that she's going to pay back on what did you do to her?!" Jaxon yelled at him.
"Jaxon! Tell me what's happening? and what did he do to me?!" I asked Jaxon while I'm trying to calm myself down.
Charles goes near to me "Amel--I mean Luna, don't listen to him.. I'm here for you. I want you to come with us. Don't you remember me? You are not belong here and it is not safe for you to be here,"
"No, I don't even know you! Why would I come with you?!" I said screaming at him then I looked at Jaxon.
"What did he do to me Jaxon?! Tell me!" I shouted while holding my gun at my back.
"He's the one who killed your parents five years ago, Luna! He's the reason why you lost your parents!!" Jaxon exclaimed.
The time stopped as I heard what he said. It brings back the pain inside me because losing my parents was the painful part of my life. My blood rushed into my vein and I could not hide my anger anymore so I pointed the gun towards Charles.
"REALLY? YOU ARE THE ONE WHO KILLED MY PARENTS?! IS THAT TRUE?! HOW DARE YOU TO COME HERE?!" I said with anger.
"NO! I did not kill your parents. I tried to prevent the accident. I tried to save you and your parents from that evil man," then he pointed out Jaxon, "don't you remember Amelia?" Charles explained while I'm still pointing the gun at him.
"NO! DON'T EVER CALL ME AMELIA! WHY WOULD I BELIEVE YOU? YOU KILLED MY PARENTS! AFTER ALL THESE YEARS," my tears started to fall down through my eyes. "THEN YOU WANT ME TO COME WITH YOU?! NO! I'M GOING TO KILL YOU CHARLES!" I shouted while I'm still crying with anger. I cannot control my anger anymore so I shot the man beside Charles then I felt that I'm going to lose my consciousness and I eventually fainted.

"Amelia, I have something for you," the boy said.
"What is it?" I asked him to give me a box that was wrapped with the gift wrapper. I opened it then I was surprised because it was the blue jacket that we wanted to buy for the both of us. Ever since we were children we had the same jacket and we promised to buy a new one.
"Woooooow! Did you really buy it for me?" I said happily.
"Yeah, I also bought a pair of it," he answered, then he showed me the other jacket.
"Thank you so much! I will treat an ice cream for today," I said while I'm smiling and winked at him
Then we went to the ice cream vendor on the other side of the street. When we are crossing across the street--
"AMELIA AAAAA!!!!" He shouted while a car was moving so fast and it almost hit me.

"AMELIA!" I screamed when I woke up from a dream. I'm dreaming of him again. He called me Amelia again! who is he?! Why did I always dream of him?! What does it mean? Does it have any connection in my life? I hate this!
"ARRRGGGHHH!!" I yelled.
Then Jaxon entered my room and asked, "Luna, what happened? Are you okay?"
"Nothing. I just got irritated with my alarm clock Jaxon," I answered.
"Are you sure?" He asked again.
"Yeah, by the way what happened?" I also asked him.
"You fainted yesterday then after what you did to Charles's assistant they went out in our house and Charles warned me about you," he explained.
"I'm sorry. I did not control my anger," I said worryingly.
"No. It's okay. What you did is alright, okay? I'm the one who needs to say sorry to you, Luna.. I kept it from you because... I don't want you to be in danger," he said.
"Jaxon, I want to get revenge! I will kill him! Because of him I lost my parents! Because of him I became like this and I want him to pay for this!" I said with anger while looking at Jaxon.
"Don't worry Luna, I have a plan. All you need to do is listen to me, alright?" Jaxon told me.

*RINGING*
"Hello, is this Charles?" I asked
"Yes, who is this?" He also asked on the other line.
"This is Luna. I want you to meet me today. No bodyguards. It's only you and me. I want to ask something important," I said seriously.
"Okay. I'll meet you today. I'll just text you the address and see you around Amel--" he replied but I ended the call already because I don't want to hear that name. When I already received his message, I prepare myself and the things that I need.
"Are you ready?" Jaxon asked after he entered my room.
"Yeah, business is business. My business for today is to kill him," I answered to him while I'm staring at my favorite gun.
"Good. All is set, Luna. All you need to do is do what you want," he said, smirking.
After one hour, we're here on the rooftop where we will meet Charles. Jaxon was the one who went there first and our bodyguards are hiding and waiting for Jaxon's signal. I also hid beside the door of the rooftop and Jaxon went first to Charles. I put my earpods that were connected to Jaxon so that I could hear their conversation.
"Charles!" Jaxon called him.
"Jaxon? Why are you here? Where is Amelia!?" Charles asked Jaxon.
"Amelia? Seriously? You're still calling her Amelia? She is Luna, Charles," Jaxon said.
"No, She is Amelia. No matter what happened she's still Amelia! Where is she?!" Charles exclaimed.
I hate you Charles! Why are you always calling me Amelia! I'm not Amelia!
"Easy, Dude. She will be here, don't worry. I've already planned for this. She's gonna do something important to you because she's gonna make you pay on what you did to her!" Jaxon said to Charles then he laughed so hard.
"F*CK YOU JAXON!! I DID NOT KILL HER PARENTS!! YOU KNOW HOW MUCH SHE'S IMPORTANT TO ME!!" Charles shouted angrily.
After a few seconds, I heard that he punched Jaxon. Oh No!! He hits Jaxon on his face again and again. Arghhh! Should I come out? Jaxon is in danger because of him!
"YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS JAXON!! I'VE FORGIVEN YOU IN EVERYTHING!! BUT NOT THIS TIME JAXON!!" Charles shouted again while he's still punching, hitting and kicking Jaxon. OMG! Jaxon!! you're signal please!! I can't take it anymore!!
I really can't wait for his signal so I go out where I am hiding.. then I see Charles holding his gun that is pointing towards Jaxon! I can't control my emotions right now! I can feel strong emotion inside me. Anger and hatred pushes me to end his life right now.
"After my parents, now you're going to take Jaxon away from me?!" I said seriously at him while I'm pointing my gun towards him.
"YOU'RE STILL NOT CONTENTED ON WHAT YOU DID!" I shouted with anger.
"Ameli--," Charles said.
"DON'T CALL ME AMELIA! YOU'RE GOING TO PAY FOR THIS!" I screamed at him while I'm going near him and ready to shoot him.
"No! Amelia, please don't do this to me! I'm Charles! Your bestfriend! Don't you remember? This blue jacket? Can't you remember this? Amelia, I did not kill you parents! I tried to save them! We have our memories together right? Amelia! Please remember me!" Charles demanded and I saw the tears in his eyes.
Did he call me best friend? The blue jacket. I know that blue jacket that's the same jacket in my dreams. Amelia? Is it really me? Why can't I remember him? Argh! My head is being painful!
"LUNA! DON'T LISTEN TO HIM! YOU WANT TO KILL HIM, RIGHT?! THIS IS THE ONLY CHANCE! HE MADE YOUR LIFE MISERABLE! SHOOT HIM, NOW!" Jaxon screamed.
NO! JAXON IS RIGHT! I DON'T NEED TO BELIEVE HIM… BUT I CAN FEEL MY HEAD IS IN PAIN RIGHT NOW!
"LUNA! SHOOT HIM, NOW!" Jaxon shouted at me and still pointed my gun at Charles.
"Amelia, No! Please!" Charles demanded.
Mixed emotions, that's what I'm feeling right now. There's a part of me that I want to shoot him and another part of me that I don't want. Why?! I don't know why! He killed my parents! He made my life miserable! But.. is he the blue jacket man? The man in my dreams?
"I SAID SHOOT HIM, LUNA! OR ELSE HE'S THE ONE WHO WILL KILL YOU!" Jaxon screamed again. Yah! He's right! We went here for this! So I need to finish this!
*BANG! BANG! BANG!*
"Please! Ame--" he did not finish what he's going to say because I already shot him.
But, what's happening?? There are memories flashing in my mind. My mom, my dad, my sister? my best friend? Tears are starting to fall down..

"Mom? Dad? Please call me after your long ride, okay?" I said.
"Yes, Amelia. Don't worry. Are you sure you don't want to come with us? You will be alone here," my dad asked.
"I'm okay, Dad. Charles will be here to accompany me," I said and looked at Luna, "Take care with Mom and Dad," I said.
"Ofcourse, Sissy," she replied.
"Bye, Darling," my mom said and she kissed me on my cheeks.

"AMELIAAA!!" I heard Charles shouting outside.
"What? Why do you need to shout?" I asked him.
"Nothing, I just missed you!" Charles said.
"Missed yourself!" I said then I snobbed him.
*RINGING*
I looked at Charles and asked, "Should I answer it? It's unknown," then he nodded.
"Hello?" I asked on the other line.
"Your family is in danger!" someone said on the other line and I heard a horrifying laugh. I got afraid that's why I opened the loud speaker so that Charles could hear it.
"What are you talking about? Who are you?" I asked again.
"In a few minutes, you're gonna lose your family!" He yelled then laughed again.
"JAXON?! IS THAT YOU?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" Charles shouted on the other line.
"Jaxon? Your cousin?!" I asked Charles then he nodded. Sh*t! I know his plan.
"There's a bomb on their car and it will be exploding in any minute now! So if I were you, I'll go and find them! TIK TOK TIK TOK! HAHAHAH!" He said again seriously while laughing to himself.
OMYGHAD! MOM! DAD! LUNA! I ended up calling because I needed to look for them.
"CHARLES! LET'S GO! LET'S FIND THEM! I THINK THEY ARE NOT SO FAR RIGHT NOW!!" I yelled to Charles. Then we ride in his car and try to find the car they used through the GPS.
"I found them! They are near on the bridge!" I said to Charles then he drove the car as fast as he could. I tried to call my dad but he's not answering his phone! I also tried to call mom but it's unreachable! Myghaad!
"I can't lose them!" I said then I began to cry "If I only knew,"
"Shhh! Don't accuse yourself, it is not your fault. Let's find them okay?" He comforted me then..
"CHARLES!" I screamed at him then I black out.

As I opened my eyes I saw him lying on the ground and the blood flowing in his body. I let go of the gun and I went to him.
"CHARLEEEEEES!" I shouted and as I held his body, my tears began to fall down.
All the memories came back. All the painful and memorable scenarios came back. Charles is my best friend. He's the blue jacket man in my dreams! I'm so doomed! Why did I let this happen!? When I realized what Jaxon did to me.. I looked at him with anger and my tears continued to fall down.
"Why Jaxon!? Why did you do this to me!?" I shouted at him while I'm crying out loud.
"I protected you!" He yelled.
"Protected me from what? From you?! You're crazy! I lost my memory and you did not even say to me?!" Is it your plan? I hate you!" I exclaimed with anger.
"So, your memories came back?" He asked seriously and he became scary as he looked at me.
"Amelia? Do you remember me now?" Charles whispered in pain.
"Shhhhh! Huhuhuh! You'll be okay, Charles. Don't worry, okay?" I said to him while my tears were still falling down.
It's really painful right now. I don't know what I'm going to do if I also lose Charles in my life! I looked at Jaxon again then I saw him pointing out his gun on me.
"What are you doing?" I asked with confusion.
"YOU WANT TO BE WITH HIM? HAHAHA! AFTER WHAT I DID FOR YOU! FINE! GO WITH HIM LUNA!! GO TO HELL WITH HIM!!" He shouted like a crazy man while pointing out his gun on me.
"No, Jaxon! You can't do that! Please!" I said fearlessly.
"I CAN DO IT AMELIA! AFTER ALL YOU ARE NOT LUNA! SO WHAT'S THE SENSE OF YOUR LIFE?!" He yelled then I heard his horrifying laugh again.
*BANG!* *BANG!*
He shot me. Am I dead? Is this the end? Am I going to be with my parents? But why can I still think? Why can I still speak to myself?
I looked down then I saw Charles laying on my lap and he's full of blood.
"CHARLES?" I called him hoping that he's still alive.
"CHAAAAAARLES!!!" I screamed while I'm crying out loud in pain. He saved me from Jaxon. He's dead. No life at all. My tears never stop. I'm really in pain. It's too painful.
"CHAAAAARLES!!" I screamed again. I closed my eyes... I remember all the memories that we have. I remember how he became part of our family and our life. He never leaves me and right now it really breaks my heart knowing that he's gone.
"Amelia!" someone called me.

"Amelia! Wake up! Amelia! What's happening! Hey! Amelia! Doc!" Someone shouted.
"CHARLES!" I screamed when I woke up. Where am I? Is this after life? Is this heaven? All I can see is pure white. Am I dead?
"Amelia?" Someone asked. I looked at my side then I saw him. I saw Charles.
"Thank God, You're awake!" He said then he hugged me tightly.
"Charles? Is it really you? You're alive? Or am I dreaming?" I said with the hope in my heart.
"Yeah, I'm alive. You are the one who's been sleeping for a long time," he said.
"CHARLEEEEES!" I screamed happily then I also hugged him. He's real! He's alive! But what happened?
"Why am I here in the hospital? What happened?" I asked him because I'm really confused right now.
"When we are finding your parents and your sister, our car was bumped into a truck and you hit your head on the car that caused you to become unconscious then you've been admitted here for five days and finally you're awake right now," he explained.
So I've been sleeping for five days and it was just all a dream? The hidden organization of Jaxon? My amnesia? Charles's death? That was all in my dreams? For real?
"So it was just a dream! Wow! Where's my parents? How about Luna? Are they okay?" I asked hoping that the bomb was not real.
I saw how his facial expression changed. It was not good news. I knew it.
"I'm sorry, Amelia. I tried to save them but I'm too late. Your parents died but," he said and I started to cry. I lost them. I lost my family! Huhuhu! It's all my fault!
"Luna was alive," he continued saying then I got shocked.
"What did you say? My twin sister is alive? For real? How come?" I asked him. It's impossible to be alive when a bomb exploded exactly on the car.
"Someone saved him," he said.
"Who?" I asked again. I'm happy that Luna is alive but it's really confusing how that happens.
"Jaxon saved him. It was seen in CCTV that before the bomb exploded, someone took Luna out of the car and that someone was Jaxon. The police are still investigating and finding them," he explained.
I looked at Charles and said, "I had a dream. My dream was all connected to what happened to our family. Maybe it was a sign! Maybe what I know about Jaxon in my dream was all true in real life. I know where he is! I know what he's going to do! Charles, help me!" I demanded of him.
"In my dreams, I thought I'm going to lose you also. Please Charles! Let's save my sister. Let's get Luna from him," I said seriously at him.
I got out of the hospital after two days. When I'm totally fine, we decided to have a secret connection to the police and investigators so that we can easily get Jaxon. I was correct about my dream. He was deeply in love with Luna but my sister rejected him for how many times. He did his best and worst to get Luna from us. He used his power to make us suffer just to own Luna but he was wrong, I was good as him.
After a week, I and Charles found out their hidden organization. We investigated it and after that, we let the police catch him at his secret place together with his members. They were doing an illegal transaction.
Finally, when they already caught Jaxon... I saw my sister again. She's not like my sister before. She's become different but when she saw me. When she realized that I'm Amelia, her sister, her facial expression changed.
"Ameliaaaaa!" She said happily then she hugged me. I hugged her too.
"Lunaaa! You're okay?" I asked her.
"Yeah, I'm happy to see you again. Thank you," she said happily. Well, she's still my twin sister after all.
We started a new life together. I got my official job as a detective after almost half a year of training.
Luna built a salon for herself because that's what she wants to do. Good to hear, her business became good.
What about Charles? He's also become a detective like me. We're working together not just in our job but also in our relationship and it feels so good.
It feels like I'm complete now. After what happened, I became more determined. I'm so happy that a roller coaster chapter of my life has ended.
