Chapter One Hundred Seventy Two

Ciara's POV

'Can someone tell me who sweats in a place like this…' Several degrees below zero and here I was, sweating. Regina's task had proved to have its fair share of difficulty and having given up seven times within a period of four hours, I had finally managed to stop the flow of ice from my eyes. Sweat dripped from my forehead after achieving my task…

"Well done…" she said to me while I lay on the ground panting with my eyes closed. During the course of the four hours, the dragons in the colosseum had been advised to leave due to the dropping temperatures, "Sometimes I forget what cold means… until I meet one of your kind. Your mother was the last to show me cold of this kind."

"What's with the rocky relationship between you and my mother?" I asked her.

"That's a long story… and I'm not sure if I'm ready to tell you that story. I'm still paying for a mistake that I made," she said.

"Will you tell me some time later?" I asked.
