8 Chapter Eight

"Ciara's parents, her father is one of the artras before our generation. He allowed us to hang out here whenever we want. It's awesome. It's also magically protected from threats that may mean us harm," he explained as he opened the gate without even knocking. 'That's no different from saying its Ciara's.'

"Don't you think we should knock first?" I asked him.

"I would, but this is where I was when you called, so they are kind of expecting us. It would be weird for me to knock yet I barely left."

"I guess that makes sense," I said as we proceeded into the big mansion. He reached the door and rang the doorbell. Jacob let us in and led us straight to the living room. 'To say it is big would be an understatement. Damn this house is huge. How do they afford this?'

Ciara came into the seating room and the atmosphere distorted. 'What is this about? Could this be another teleportation. No. Kendall wasn't touching me. Then what was it.' Then I looked at Ciara and the distortion seemed to be coming from her. It started reducing until it is unnoticeable, but it still left an unsettling feeling in the atmosphere. A feeling of power coming from Ciara, the power of an alpha. The guys had decided that today would be about fun and we had to forget everything that had troubled us through that week.

We first played video games which I didn't manage to win even once, swam for some time then at one we took lunch. It was all too much for me to say the least, but thankfully we had Isaac and Jacob to take our minds off the multitudes of food with their obnoxious jokes.

We then rested by the pool telling ourselves stories mostly of the past. We had Ciara laughing at nearly every one of us as when it turned into a competition to embarrass each other in front of her.

"Okay guys, let's go play some magic football," Kendall said at 3:00pm.

"Umm. What do you mean by that?" I asked him.

"Come on. You'll see," he said with a weird smirk that wasn't befitting for him.

"Okay, but before we go, Ciara, you're emitting something. What is it?" I asked her. Used to the feeling around her and just then it intensified as she took on a serious tone.

"Alpha Artras radiate power after some time in Armensia, but I thought I hadn't yet started," she said oblivious to the intensifying power radiating off her.

"Oh, so none of you guys feel that?" I asked them and they nod 'no'. "Let's just go and throw some footballs," I said and followed their lead as they took me to the field. Wow, it was big, no vast. 'Come on, who owns this kind of land?' I mentally argued.

One hour to the big game.

.....

I actually hadn't expected throwing a football to be nearly as fun as actually playing actual football. But I was wrong. Not because they proved it was fun, but because it wasn't what I expected at all. This was different. I had no idea what was in store for me until we started playing.

First of all, Jacob had mastered super strength, so he could throw the ball really far and Kendall was just in a teleporting frenzy, having to teleport over seven hundred metres in the air to get to the ball. And as if that wasn't enough, he would throw the ball even further up to throw us off its track. What got me really jealous was that they could fly. Their magic was really powerful. If only I would go with them to Armensia. Much as I loved training with Mr. Bergstrom. Isaac was such a fast flyer that he scared me each time he whizzed past me.

I was totally out of my element here. I decided to tackle them if they got closer to the ground which wasn't hard considering how fast I was. I used this tactic until the ball finally came close to the ground. From there it was a race against time. Teleportation versus super-speed. Kendall smirked before teleporting to the ball, but I wasn't letting him go that easy. I charged up my power until everything was remarkably slow before I dashed forward and delivered a spear right to his belly. Unfortunately for me, he chose to teleport at that exact moment. We were zapping through the air and trying to get the ball from each other until eventually I got it from him and fell to the ground.

"Yes," I screamed holding up the ball. I looked at them and they were simply smirking. 'Oh crap,' they all came at me like I was prey and they were carnivores. "This ball is not worth the effort," I screamed at the top of my lungs as I ran in the opposite direction though I had to keep sidestepping Kendall who would always appear right in front of me.

They all burst into laughter after hearing me complain.

We played our fun game of catch for forty minutes since the match was soon. Kendall and I had to go for our big game.

We all stopped playing and decided to get ready for the match.

.......

Somewhere in the forbidden land of Armensia...

A man, dark wizard to be exact, dressed in purple robes sat on his throne. A messenger working for him had just brought him information.

"Master, as you feared. The one suspected to be the Siege of legend was sited, but just once. He hasn't come back yet with the other artras."

"There's nothing to fear. His dragon was slain and without it he cannot go against me." the wizard's deep voice resonated through the room.

"That's not all, Sir. With all due respect you've managed to defeat the artras for 800 years. These ones feel different."

"Elaborate. I don't have time for your ridiculous riddles."

"The prophecy is about him, just as you feared."

"And how are you so sure?"

"The oracle of light was sighted in the elf kingdom," this information got the wizard on his feet.

"The oracle could travel and get to the Siege. When was he sighted?" his voice rising.

"A-A few days ago, m-master,?" this whole time the messenger was bowing down on one knee.

"Rise," the wizard commanded. "I'm not going to fall to a group of ignorant kids. I want you to get closer to them. The Siege is mine. Understood?"

"Yes, master."
