You Can Really Talk

Lin Ke and Lia descended the mountain after bowing in front of Master Sal's grave. Along the way, neither of them spoke, instead, walking in silence. Lia was still slightly embarrassed by the events earlier. She couldn't get the warm feeling of Lin Ke's arms out of her head, and was still slightly confused.

As they descend, Lin Ke suddenly remembers some other issue. "Lily?" Lin Ke calls out in his head. "Don't you need to get back to the chair?"

Lily replies. "It's fine. Don't worry about it. When you get in range of the chair, I can just appear on top of the chair again."

Lin Ke raises an eyebrow. "Oh? How convenient. So… like say right now, you could make yourself appear anywhere a certain distance around me?"

"Yeah something like that." Lily says.

"Lin Ke?" A melodious voice calls behind Lin Ke. He looks back to see Lia walking close behind him, and he immediately turns around back around. Lia, confused, looked down to see what Lin Ke was embarrassed about, and realized that her panties were practically in full view to Lin Ke. Quickly, she pulls Lin Ke's shirt down a bit further.

"Yeah?" Lin Ke clears his throat and asks

"I-I- just wanted to ask… How did you get us to the Inner Spirit Forest? This place is so far away from Origin City." Lia stutters out.

Lin Ke thinks deeply about how to answer Lia. In the end, he decided to just tell her the truth, as there was no way to lie to her if they were going to be travelling together. Plus, he didn't really want to lie to Lia, and he felt that she was trustworthy.

"Lily teleported us." Lin Ke said straightforwardly.

Lia blinks in wonder. "Wow! Lily is so powerful! She even managed to take us here? She could transport so many people over such a far distance?" Lia exclaims in wonder. "She's so useful!"

"Hehe! Of course girl! I'm the most useful person ever!" Lin Ke could practically see her smug grin in his head, and as they approached the cave, a cat came strolling out of it.

As Lin Ke thought, there was an extremely smug and self-satisfied look on her cat face. It almost made Lin Ke wish to stick her head into a bucket of water.

"Yes girl! I am the most useful, the cute, powerful, fluffy, and all around amazing talking cat, Lily!" Lily proudly proclaims whilst floating in the air. "Praise me more!" Lily happily said.

Lin Ke looked at her with a deadpan expression, but Lia was extremely delighted at the prospect of a talking cat. She immediately rushed over and scooped Lily out of the air and into her arms. "Waah! Lin Ke wasn't joking! You can really talk!" Lia rubs Lily's fur, while laughing in delight.

Lily purrs in contentment, and curls up in Lia's arms.

"Why didn't you talk to me before, Lily?" Lia questioned curiously.

"Well, I didn't know whether you were trustworthy or not you know? It's not good to talk to strangers." Lily replies half-jokingly.

Lin Ke watches their interaction with an amused expression. The beautiful and cute Lia, holding a small white cat in her arms while playing with it, was quite an amazing scene.

Suddenly, from out of nowhere, Lin Ke felt a droplet of water hit his head. Looking up, he looked up just in time to see rain begin to pour down. Hurrying inside the cave, Lin Ke lies down on the inflatable mattress, trying to think about all that has happened today. It was hard to imagine that him being trapped inside Master Sal's World Prison Art was only this morning. Now, a few hours later, Master Sal is dead, Lin Ke has watched a deathmatch between a tiger and an eagle, and many other things. Sighing, Lin Ke closes his eyes to rest a little.

Unknowingly and accidentally, Lin Ke had fallen asleep from how tired he was. After who knows how long, Lin Ke finally woke up. Groggily, he looked around the cave, and the first thing he noticed was Lia sitting at the stool, with a canvas in front of her. On her side was a table with a case of different brushes on it, and she was holding one currently. She looked extremely relaxed but deeply concentrated. Her long, exposed legs were crossed as she stared intently at the drawing. Lin Ke continued to lie there, not wanting to disturb Lia's painting. Instead, he cranes his head around, looking for Lily. Without looking far, Lin Ke had already found her. She was standing on a table without moving.

Looking between Lia and Lily, Lin Ke felt the pieces to be puzzle click in his head. With an amused expression, he began to concoct a plan. Lily, sensing Lin Ke's thoughts glanced over at Lin Ke with piercing eyes. In his head, she screams. "Don't you dare!"

However, Lin Ke smiles wickedly. In his head, he calls, "Lily."

"What?" She snaps back.

"Lily."

"WHAT?"

"Lily."

"..."

"Lily." Lin Ke continues to repeat her name in short even intervals. Each time he says it, he changes up the tone a little, sometimes it would be monotone, other times excited, other times annoyed, and many others. Looking on at the trembling Lily in delight, Lin Ke knew his plan was working. Lily was trying hard to stay still and not pounce onto Lin Ke and scratch the hell out of him.

Lin Ke continues to repeat this, but Lily remains firm, somehow managing to not move. Finally, after what seemed like eternity to Lily, Lia finally stood up and turned the painting towards Lily.
