The moon was shined bright by the time Samantha came out of the little hole-in-the-wall restaurant. She checked that her backpack was in place and moved toward her car.

"Sam, wait," Rebecca called out as she stood in the doorway of the restaurant. Her shoulder-length hair was tied up in a bun.

Samantha turned around at the call. "What is it, Rebecca?" Once Samantha has fully turned around, she could see Rebecca clearly, and she was holding a gun. "What are you doing?"

"I am going to need you to hand me that bag over," Rebecca said as she kept the gun on Rebecca and made her way closer to her.

"Seriously, Rebecca, what do you think you are doing?" Samantha asked as she took a step backward and pulled the bag closer into her body.

"I am thinking that with those little artifacts, I am going to become a wealthy woman." Rebecca moved closer to Samantha. "Know to hand over the bag."

"No," Rebecca had gotten close enough where Samantha punched Rebecca, and she knocked out.

Samantha took this opportunity and got in her car and getaway. She knew that she could not go home and need to make her way to a safe place to keep the artifacts safe.

"Sam, Sam, Samantha, can you hear me?" Gloria, the oldest member of our clan, stood in front of Samantha, calling her to get her attention.

"Sorry, what were you saying?" Samantha said as she still kept a hold of the bag.

"I said that we are going to have to contact the elder vampires and tell them of the finding of the artifacts," Gloria said, taking her seat once again. "For tonight, stay with me, you can get some rest in the guest bedroom, and tomorrow, we will make our way to them."

Samantha reached for the cup of tea that was sitting in front of her and nodded. "Thank you for taking me. I didn't know where to go to."

Gloria shook her head as she got up from her seat. "That is not a problem child, let's make sure to keep these three objects safe. In the wrong hands, they can be deadly not only for the vampires but for all of us."

Samantha pulled the bag even closer to her chest. "I will head to bed then. Have a good rest, Gloria."

"Thank you, child. Rest, and I will see you in a couple of hours." Gloria said as she walked down the hallway to her room.

Samantha watched Gloria get in her room before turning around and heading toward the guest bedroom. Once inside, Samantha made her way to the bed and started to take out the artifacts to inspect them. The first one was a beautifully simple necklace with a gem inside. The second item was a ring with an ancient design, and the third was a beautiful crown. She put the crown back in the bag, but there was something about the necklace and ring that called out to Samantha, and she put them on. The two pieces together instantly made her feel come and empowered. She laid down on the bed and relaxed to the point of falling asleep.

"Samantha, ist time to wake up. We need to get going." Gloria said as she knocked on the guest door.

Samantha jerked awake and pulled the bag from the nightstand toward her. She took in her surroundings and tried to relax her rising heart. "I am awake." Once she came down a bit, she pulled the covers off her, pulled on her shoes, and made the bed before heading out of the room. "Morning, Gloria."

"Come on child, sit down and have some breakfast before we leave; it is going to be a long drive to get there." Gloria placed some toast and a cup of coffee on the table before taking her own cup and taking a seat.

Samantha placed the bag next to her and began to eat her breakfast. "How long is the drive?" Samantha asked.

"It's about three hours," Gloria said.

Samantha took the last bite of her toes and finished off her coffee. "Okay, I am ready; let us go." She whipped down her place on the table and took her dishes to the sink.

Gloria was pleased to see that Samantha had not lost her manners. "Okay, let's get this show on the road." Gloria placed her dishes, in the sink, and grabbed her keys.

Gloria and Samantha got in Gloria's truck and headed out. Samatha was so relaxed that she had not been paying attention to the passing cars around her. "Samantha, get ready."

"Get ready for what?" Samantha asked right before the truck hit them from the back.

The impact made the truck swirf and Gloria need up on the side of the road, the truck hit a three which left Gloria and Samantha disorianted. Samantha was the first one to come back and turned toward Gloria. "Hey, Gloria are you okay?" There was no sound someing from Gloria. "Gloria please answer me." Samantha begged.

Samantha's door is yanked open and the bag that she had originally been holding onto for dear life was taken from her hands. "No, you cannot take that." Samantha tried to go after the guy and the bag but she still had her seat belt on and it had become harder to take off. "Give that back." Samantha kept struggling to get the seat belt off until she was able to unbockelet but unfortunately the guys had already left with the bag. Samantha turned back to the truck and pulled Gloria out of the truck. "Gloria can you hear me?"

Gloria made a sound making Samanthat react once again. She pulled out her phone and called the ambulance. "Hold on Gloria the ambulance will be hear in a couple of minutes."
