7 chapter 8:
it's been 3 months since my father died, and I became the lord, for the past three months all I've been doing is cleaning the vale from spies, and rats, 15 days ago I got the news that the king is going to Winterfell to talk to ned stark and that they just passed the Inn at crossroads by a raven, I also sent two hawks to Winterfell and the king that I'm coming as well.
after making sure that all my 200 men are ready and that my mother is 'comfortable' in her carriage, "I'm taking her to Winterfell to stay with her sister till the vale is ready to receive her again, it's more like exile tho", we start riding to Winterfell in a mighty manner, and people can see that my men are very disciplined.
WINTERFELL...
Winterfell was in chaos, the king of the seven kingdoms was coming, and the lord paramount of the land of the vale was also coming, they were nervous about the king to not be pleased somehow and were excited to see the lord of the vale who is rumored to never be beaten in all kinds of weapons from swords, bows, and even spears, and is said to be very handsome, and also see his personal army that was rumored to never stop training, and is at the top of the discipline.
WITH THE KING:
the king was very interested to finally see his foster father's son, and if the rumors were right about his strength, as for the little brat called prince Joffrey, he was very displeased with the news, he even asked his father to stop and let Arslan reach Winterfell first so he does not steal his light.
10 DAYS LATER:
WINTERFELL:
you can see the king and his family going through the streets in of Wintertown(The winter town is a settlement in the North, located just outside of Winterfell itself.) with their guards. in Winterfell you can see the Starks forming a line to receive the king with Jon snow behind them( Jon snow is thought to be the bastard son of ned stark, but is actually a Targaryen. ), except for Arya stark who is hiding in the streets of Wintertown, watching the king's entourage with amazement.
just before the king reaches Winterfell, you can see Catelyn Stark(ned's wife and Lysa Arryn's sister)
Catelyn Stark: where is Arya, Sansa where is your sister?
just to see Arya running trying to reach her place wearing a helmet only to be stopped by her father who took the helmet off and said...
Ned Stark: are you going with that or...
wich made Jon and rob chuckle before Arya continued on her way.
and then you can see that from the gates of Winterfell a Kingsguard enters followed by prince Joffrey whom Sansa followed with her eyes with a smile on her face, who was followed by the Hound(Sandor Clegane, popularly known as the Hound, is the personal bodyguard of Prince Joffrey Baratheon), who was then followed by the carriage carrying Cersei Lannister, who was then followed by the king and his Kingsguard, when the starks and servants and guards saw the king they immediately knelt for him, just for the king to slowly get down his horse and walk in front of Ned Stark, he then indicated for him to get up, and so the starks did before the king looked at Ned and said:
the king: you've got fat.
and then Ned looked at the king's belly and giving him a look that says" look who says so "
and then they start laughing and hug it out.
and then the king hugs Catelyn and then turns to Ned again.
the king: Nine years, why haven't I seen you, where the hell have you been.
Ned: guarding the north for you, your grace, Winterfell is yours
and as he says so the queen comes out of the carriage looking around like the place is not worthy of having someone like her.
Arya: where is the imp?
Arya asks Sansa
Sansa: will you shut up??
the king: what have we here? you must be rob.
the king says as he shakes hands with rob.
he then walks to Sansa.
the king: aye, you're a pretty one.
and Sansa just smiles at him, he then continues to Arya.
the king: your name is?
Arya: Arya
he looks at Brandon.
the king: oh, show us your muscles.
and Bran does as told.
the king: you'll be a soldier.
he says chuckling.
a Kingsguard then takes his helmet off.
Arya: that's Jaime Lannister, the queen's twin brother.
Sansa: will you please shut up??.
the queen then goes to Ned and gives him her hand to kiss with a fake smile.
and so does Ned.
Ned: my queen.
and then Catelyn bows and says.
Catelyn: my queen.
the king: take me to your crypt, I want to pay my respect.
the queen: we've been riding for a month my love, surely the dead can...
before the queen could continue they hear horns blowing and they knew that their next guest has arrived.
everyone looks at the gate to see 10 soldiers in extravagant armor and great discipline riding red horses that look strong and trained, entering in turns of two one then one goes to the right and the other to the left before turning to face the other side, letting between them some space, just enough for a carriage which was thrice the size of normal carriage, pulled by 6 horses with ease as he did some modifications with modern knowledge adding springs and many more so that the carriage can run faster and run steadily, even the king didn't have such a luxurious carriage, after the carriage enters and heads to the left followed by four guards, another 20 guards enter looking around for threats and then after making sure there is no such thing you can see a boy about the age of 14 with white hair and blue eyes, looking very handsome riding a white horse, you can then see the carriage open and Lysa Arryn coming out of with the help of the guards, that then stand behind her, after the boy enters, you can see that he is followed by another 20 guards, while another 150 standing outside, the boy then climbs down of his horse and slowly walks to the king, while sansa looks at him with hearts in her eyes, and a smile in her face, while Joffrey is looking at him with disgust and hate for stealing his light, the king is looking at him with complexion in his eyes, he hates that the boy has some qualities of the Targaryens but he is also the son of his foster father who he has come to respect, at last he decides to just le it go for his foster father.
