5 Unfamiliar feelings
THIRD POV CONTINUES:
After exiting Ritwik’s cabin, Shekhar and Palak left for their office. As soon as Shekhar & Palak leaves Ritwik’s office, Ritwik ordered his PA to call a meeting of Board of Directors as he is having a important deal to discuss.
Meanwhile, on the way to the office, Shekhar called his PA to inform that he is about to held a meeting with Board of Directors within short notice, so inform BODs that the important meeting is being held.
OBEROI'S:
In conference room, BOD's including Kaushal and Kushan are waiting for Ritwik. Within a minute, Ritwik comes and begins the meeting.
Ritwik is seated on his chair and he started explaining about the proposal to Mehta’s and about it’s benefits, they all started discussing about it from which some are agreed and some are not.
A thorough discussion is going from last 30 mins whether the contract is being given to Mehta’s or not, as it is totally depends on the goodwill, commitments and their service and it directly affects our reputation and commitments.
They are still discussing but haven’t reached at any conclusion. One of the BOD said,“ We haven’t seen their work till now, so how can we merge our contract with them?”
“I know Mehta’s and their work from my relatives function and they had done a great work.” One the BOD said.
“You have only seen one work of them, what about the other projects?” The BOD who objected earlier said.
“I think we should do voting.” Kushan suggested.
“That’s a good idea, we should do that.” Kaushal agreed.
They started voting and majority is in Mehta’s favor.
“So the majority is in Mehta’s favor, so it’s decided that we are going to merge our contract with Mehta’s.” Ritwik declared.
“For how long are we going to work with them?” Kushan asked.
“2 years, is it okay to all?” Ritwik asked.
Everyone is agreed with Ritwik’s decision. The meeting is concluded. Everyone leaves expect Ritwik, Kushan and Kaushal.
They three are discussing about the merger, when Kushan asked Ritwik,“ Why you suddenly proposed Mehta’s for the deal?”
Ritwik answered, “ Actually, today in the afternoon we had a meeting regarding the client which had already finalized Mehta’s for their event management.
I was surprised as no one had finalized before. During the meeting, the supervisor is giving the presentation and discussing about the plot and management.
There I found, if there presentation, explanation and the way of communication can be so good then how could there work be. I had taken this discussion after thinking a lot.”
After listening to Ritwik, both brothers are giving amused look as Ritwik rarely appreciates.
“I am impressed by your decision taking skills but there lies a little risk in this project.” Kaushal said.
“Now we have taken the decision, so let it be. Whatever situation will come, we’ll face it.” Kushan said.
After the completion of discussion, Oberio brothers leaves and Ritwik head towards his cabin. Ritwik thinks to call Mehta’s, then he realized that they are also having the meeting. So, he decided to call him later.
Meanwhile at MEHTA EVENT ORGANIZER:
Shekhar is in conference room with BODs having meeting on the topic of the proposal which was given by Oberio’s.
By listening the proposal, each and every BOD is surprised as Oberio’s have much more fame in the country and is famous for their commitments and their way of working in the corporate world.
Everyone agrees for the proposal and one of the director said to Shekhar, “ It’s not a topic of discussion or meeting, we should have to done the deal on the spot.”
“BODs are important in every decision of mine for the company, it’s my duty to inform you about the workings and dealings of the company, in my absence you all are having duties towards the company.
You all are integral part of our organization. How can I done the deal on the spot?” Shekhar answered.
Everyone is impressed by Shekhar’s word, they all decided that they should grab this opportunity.
Today, if we are having this opportunity it’s Palak’s boon. Then he told about the meeting with Oberio’s and Palak’s presentation. Everyone is proud of Palak. One of the BOD said that she is efficient for the position of CEO.
After completion of meeting, Shekhar is in his cabin and he dialed Ritwik’s PA’s number. On second ring his PA picks up the call and Shekhar inform him about the acceptance of proposal and asked him to have a word with Mr. Oberoi.
PA gives phone to Ritwik, informing him about Mehta’s accepts the proposal and Mr. Mehta is on the line.
Ritwik – Hello Mr. Mehta
Shekhar – Hello, Mr.Oberoi
Ritwik – Mr. Mehta, you can call me Ritwik.
Shekhar – Ritwik, you can call me uncle, it’s fine!
Ritwik – No, I’ll call you sir, I’m fine with it.
Shekhar – Okay as you wish! We are agree for the merging our contracts.
Ritwik – That’s great! We’ll arrange a meeting. regarding this.
Shekhar – Before the meeting, we have to discuss about the event. So when to start discussing?
Ritwik – The event is in one month, so send your team to check the venue, the places to decorate and the ways to reach there.
Shekhar – At what time can I send my team?
Ritwik - Send them day after tomorrow at 10 am but before that I want to invite you on lunch in Oberio’s.
Shekhar – It’s my pleasure, but I want to invite you for special Gujarati lunch.
Ritwik – I’m glad but this time at my place and next time yours. So come with your team for lunch tomorrow at my place and we will discuss about further proceedings.
Shekhar - Ok then we will meet tomorrow.
Then they hang up the call. After that shekhar informs Palak about the meeting and lunch tomorrow at Oberoi's.
It's 6 pm. After completing the work Shekhar leaves office and heading towards the home and Palak is finishing her pending work.
Meanwhile Ritwik is busy in legal formalities of the contract with his lawyer. It's 9pm and Ritwik is leaving the office as usual.
Here Palak is busy with her work when her cell rings. Seeing the caller she picked up immediately.
Palak - Hello mumma
Smita - Keep your hello with you Ms. Palak Mehta and come home right now. Tane time ni khabar nathi padti?(Haven't you seen the time?)
Palak - Sorry mumma, hu bas avu chu ave.(I'm coming right now.)
Smita - Ok but take care of yourself.
Saying this she cut the call.
Palak turn of her laptop, lock her cabin and at last tells the watchman to lock all the doors. After that she leaves for the home.
RITWIK'S POV:
I reached home and had dinner with everyone as usual. After spending some time with family I left to my room and took one of my favorite novel to freshen up my mind.
From last 20 minutes I'm sitting in my balcony on swing but I haven't read a single word and the reason is that my mind is thinking about Ms. Palak.
END OF RITWIK'S POV.
THIRD PERSON POV:
Manav is passing by the Ritwik's room. Seeing the open door, he enters the room their he finds Ritwik holding book but he is staring somewhere else.Manav notices that Ritwik is in his dreamland that he don’t even recognize that someone has entered his room.
Manav slowly bend towards Ritwik’s ear and whispers teasingly, “ Aur Bhai kesi thi voh?” (How’s She?)
Hearing this, Ritwik comes out from his dreamland and stands up. “Oo bhai, kya kar rahe ho? Aur kon kesi thi? ( Oh brother, what you doing? Who are you talking about?)
Manav smirks and said, “ Maine toh naam bhi nahi liya aur tu khada ho gaya, naam lunga toh kya ho ga! ( I haven’t said her name and you stands up, if I’ll say her name then what will happen!)
Ritwik confusingly sit on the swing and asked, “ Kya bol rahe ho bhai, mujhe kuch samaj nahi aa raha.” (What are you talking about, I can’t understand anything)
Manav also sits beside Ritwik and put his arm at Ritwik’s shoulder and said, “Main ussi ki baat kar raha hu jiske khayalo me tum khoya huva hai! Aur jiski vajah se aaj tera dhyan book me nahi kahi aur hai aur aisa paheli baar huva hai !!! (I am talking about the same person whom you are dreaming about and due to which your concentration isn’t in the book and it’s happening first time.)
“Nai bhai kisi ke baare me nahi soch raha tha, vo toh naye contract ke baare me soch raha tha.”Ritwik replied looking somewhere else. (I’m not thinking about anyone, it’s about the new contract.)
“Bete Ricky! Tu aapne bhai se juth bol raha hai.” Manav said smacking Ritwik’s head. (Dear ricky! You are lying to your big brother)
“Nahi bhai, aap Kuch bhi bolte hai.” Ritwik said rubbing his nape (No brother, nothing like that.)
Manav said authoratively, “Speak up right now.”
Ritwik speaks in one breathe, “ Firsttimeisawherwhenwewereoutforthelunchonsundlayandthentodayimetherinourofficeandsheisbeautywithbrain.”
Manav asked confusingly,
“What the hell, say it slowly.”
“First time I saw her when we were out for the lunch on Sunday and then today I met her in our office and she is beauty with brain.” Ritwik said without meeting his eyes.
“Oh!! Beauty with brain.” Manav said teasingly.
“I said this much and you listened only beauty with brain?” Ritwik questioned.
“Leave that , first give me details because I know that there lot more.” Manav said curiously.
Listening this Ritwik face palmed himself, then he said everything from the beginning to the last i.e. from hotel meet to merger thing.
Listening this Manav stared laughing and said, “Man, you’re so whipped.“
“Nothing I like that bro!” Ritwik said.
“Ya Ya I know everything.” Manav said teasingly.
“You know what I should tell this Jenny because after that Ishani fiasco, at least the thought of someone brings a smile on your face.” Manav continues getting up from the swing.
“Don’t tell bhabhi, she’ll tease me. Also I’m not sure. Maybe it’s my infatuation.” Ritwik said with a horrified face.
“OK fine! I’ll not tell anything to her but first promise me something.” Saying this Manav forwarded his hand towards Ritwik.
“Like seriously bro!! Vo bhi iss baat ke liye, vo bhi aise.”Ritwik said getting up from the swing and entering his room. ( Are you taking promise for this thing and in this way.)
“Tu na baat mat palat. Mujhe promise chahiye!” Manav said going behind Ritwik. ( Don’t you dare to change the topic. I want a promise!)
“OK fine, tell me! What promise you want.” Ritwik asked Manav.
“The promise is that, you are going to be sure about your feelings and I will be the first one to know about this.” Manav replied with a mischievous glint.
“Ya! It’s my promise. Okay??” Ritwik said annoyingly.
“So, my work is done. GOOD NIGHT.” Manav said going out of the room.
“GOOD NIGHT BHAI.” Saying this he lays on the bed and soon sleep took over him. Because of Palak's arrival in his day he totally forgot about Ishani's drama.
At MEHTA MANSION:
Reaching her home, she enters tip toeing but Smita catches her and said,“Go and get freshen up, everyone is waiting for you at dining.
“OK mum.” Saying this she head towards her room but suddenly from behind someone closes her eyes.
“BHAIIIII !” Palak screamed happily and hugs him tightly.
So the person is none another then Veer Mehta.
“Hey, my baby doll, how are you?” Veer asked.
“I’m fine bro, how are you? How were your meetings?” Palak replied and asked further breaking the hug.
“Everything went well. Now go and freshen up, we all are very hungry because we were waiting for you. ” Veer said pushing towards her room.
“I’ll be there in 2 mintues, you guys carry on.” Saying this she left from there.
After freshing up she goes to dinning room. The family had their dinner with lots of fun and leg pulling of each other.
Suddenly viaan started crying and listening this, Kavya go towards the room and after few minutes she comes back with viaan in her arms.
Post dinner, everyone is playing with viaan because normally viaan is sleeping on this time but today he is playing with everyone with a happy mood.
After sometime they all left for their respective rooms but Palak and Veer decided to have some bro-sis time. So, they both head towards Palak’s room.
