AT OBERIO’S
THIRD PERSON POV CONTINUES:
After Palak left, Ritwik is daydreaming about Palak. He doesn’t even acknowledge that Kaushal has entered in his cabin. Kaushal notices that Ritwik is starring at one particular thing and he is looking calm and serene. Kaushal snapped his finger in front of Ritwik’s face and he comes out from his dreamland.
“Oh Dad! When did you come?” Saying this he gets up from his seat and move towards couch. He gestures Kaushal to come and sit with him.
“I came just few minutes ago when you are busy in daydreaming.” Kaushal said with a smirk and sit besides Ritwik.
“Main!! Aur vo bhi daydreaming, kuch bhi Dad?” Saying this he chuckles nervously. (Me!!! And that to Daydreaming, Nothing like that Dad!)
“Chal ab, aapne baap se chupayega aur vo ladki kon thi?” ( Come on, now will you hide from your father, by the way who is that girl?)
“Ladkiii-kessi-ladkiii-kon-ladkii?” He stammers and is looking here and there. (Girl-which-girl-who-girl?)
“I was talking about the girl who was in your cabin few minutes ago.”
“Oh! Ms. Palak?”
“Who is Ms. Palak?”
“She is Palak Mehta, daughter of Shekhar Mehta. She is supervising the function.”
“Is this the same girl, who impressed my son by a single presentation?”
“I’m not impressed dad! It’s just that, she had determination in her work which I had never seen in a lady like her particularly in our field.”
“OK, I take that, by the way I’m here for Singhaniya’s project. They are conducting a meeting by today evening.”
“But why today? It was supposed to be day after tomorrow.” Saying this they started discussing about the meeting and project.
At MEHTA’S OFFICE
When Palak reaches and settled in her place, she notices that there are 4 missed calls of Tani ( her best friend Tanya). She calls her back but Tani rejects the call. She is standing opposite side of door, so she cannot see anyone entering inside. She is muttering something underneath her breath.
“4 missed calls and now rejecting the call when I’m calling? Today she’ll take me to hell with her stupid talks.”
Suddenly she feels two hands on her eyes and she very well know the owner of those hands. She takes the person in her bear hug and said “I missed you”.
“Well, well, I know how much you miss me.”
“I’m sorry Tani”, She said in a baby voice and held Tani’s ears.
“Oh great! You do mistakes and now you are pulling my ears.” Saying this she hits on Palak’s forehead.
“Ouch! Why are you hitting me mad girl?” Saying this she rubbed hands on the area where Tani hits.
“You do such works of being hit.”
“Come on, stop this hitting and all, be seated.”
“Ahaa! Be seated? Accent of formal business lady!”
“Stop your nonsense and come here.”
“By the way I had heard that Mehta’s have merged a contract with Oberio’s. Isn’t it? ”
“Yes, but how did you know? We haven’t done any public announcement?”
“Everyone knows about contract as it is about THE RITWIK OBEROI.”
“Ooh! Don’t you think you know everything?” Saying this Palak raised one of her eyebrow.
“I know everything but about Ritwik Oberio.” Tani said with a dreamy look.
“Oh! Stop with your fan girl.” Palak said rolling her eyes.
“It’s just that he is a famous personality in the corporate world specially in India.”
“Hmm, I know, I have read about him in magazines and articles.”
“You don’t value this opportunity, if luck favored me with this type of opportunity, I’ll work day and night to impress Ritwik.”
“I don’t need to work day & night to impress him, he is already impressed from the very first day in Oberio’s on the day of my presentation.”
“Aaha! listening this now I’m impressed. Good job my sweetie.”
“It’s not my intention to impress him but eventually he is impressed, it’s not in my hand.”
“You leave it, this is not your type of thing, by the way let’s go out somewhere?”
“No, I can’t go out as these days are really hectic, but we can catch up this weekend.”
“Saturday night, is it?”
“Yess”
“OK then, will meet on Saturday, I have to go and pick your calls on time, this time it was me, what if next time it will Ritwik?”
“I’ll call him back, you don’t worry about your the RITWIK and now get out.”
“Dost dost na raha”, singing this dramatically she leaves the cabin making Palak laugh on her antics.
Palak resumes her work. Meanwhile Shekhar enters in her cabin and asked about a file.
“Sorry dad, Tani was here, it’s not completed yet, I’ll give you in few minutes.” She said apologizing with a baby face.
And who can resist Palak’s baby face!! So Shekhar sighed and said “No problem bacha, I’ll wait.”
He lefts her cabin and she continues her work. Then, she complete it speedily and hand it to PA Mohit.
It’s evening and Palak is leaving for her home, before leaving she called her mother and asked, “I’m coming home, do you want something from market?”
“Yes, I’m saying right now, you start making a list.”
“OK mumma.” Saying this she take out a pen and paper and started making a list. The length of list is just as the paper. It’s about 20 things to buy.
“Don’t forget anything.” Smita said.
“You don’t worry mumma, I’ll buy every single thing.”
“OK then, bye.” And she hangs up the call. Then she left from office and goes to market and buys everything of the list and gives her address to the retailer for home delivery and she lefts for home.
When she enters in her home she is greeted by a cute hug in her legs and she hears ‘Fuii' and hearing this she giggles and she takes him in her arms and kissed on his chubby cheeks.
She said in babish voice, ‘Viuu did you missed your fui’.
“Itaa saraa” He said opening his arms showing her that how much he missed her.
Palak laughed on his antics and moves towards living room and settled on sofa with viaan in her lap.
Smita sees this and said “Ghare aai ne direct viaan ne lai ne besi gai pan aevu nai k fresh thai jaiye.” ( Smita scolds Palak saying that on coming back home you directly sat with viaan that too without freshening up.)
“Sorry mumma, jau chu aave.” Palak said putting viaan beside her and standing up. ( Sorry mom, I’m going right now.)
She goes to her room, freshen up and again comes to living room to play with viaan but viaan is settled in his little chair for dinner in dinning room.
Palak’s mom calls her to join them for the same but Veer is not present in dining room so she head towards his room and there she finds him in the bed surrounded by number of papers and files. She insists him to have dinner first and then continue his documentation and filing.
Mehta’s had their dinner and they head towards their respective rooms. Palak started plotting her upcoming project with Oberio’s. Palak has made a rough sketch of the venue’s entrance. She made few designs of the themes from which client can choose one from them.
After completing everything she sleeps.
AT OBEROI VILLA:
Everyone is having dinner with little bit of discussion going on, they completes their dinner. After that they all moves towards living room. Everyone is silent and using their phones so Jenny breaks the ice and said,“I want to show all of you our new collection ‘THE ROYAL COLLECTION’. ”
“Wow Bhabhi it sounds so esteemed, I want to see it now.” Ruhani said with lots of excitement and sits besides Jenny.
“Why not Ruhi! Wait a second I’ll bring my tab.” Saying this she goes upstairs to bring her tab and comes back in few minutes and starts showing her collection to everyone.
Everyone praises her and Manav. “By the way Ritwik, we are offering 30% discount to the first 3 customers.“ She said with a mischievous smile and nudged Manav to play along.
“That’s good bhabhi, but why are you saying this to me?” Ritwik asked being confused.
“She means that she wants to give you this discount.” Manav said with a smirk.
“Why bhabhi wants me to give discount?” Ritwik asked to no one in particular.
“You are world’s number one fool, you don’t get anything regarding love and marriage.” Dadu bumped in between.
“Don’t call me that, I’m not dumb. I know everything, Okay .”Ritwik said with dismissing tone.
“Bhai, bhabhi is talking about your marriage but you didn’t get her hint, so obviously you are dumb.” Ruhani said and everyone starts laughing.
Listening all these talks Kushan suddenly remembered about Manav’s revelation of a girl whom maybe Ritwik likes. So, he decided that tonight before going to bed he will talk to Manav about that girl.
He hears Ritwik saying, “No bhabhi, I’m going to marry no one right now, keep your discount for your customers, I don’t need it.”
“But why you don’t want to marry?” Asha asked with amusement.
“Badi maa, I’m not ready for more responsibilities.” Ritwik replied with a dismissing tone.
“You just have to marry not to raise a child.” Roshini said as a matter of fact.
“Don’t you have words to say?” Asha asked Kushan & Kaushal.
Both brothers looks at each other then looking towards Asha they both nodded no and give them a glare.
“I’m very sleepy, I’m going to my room, everyone can carry on with this marriage topic.” Saying this Ritwik gets up and runs upstairs to his room.
After that, everyone except Jenny & Ruhani disperse to their respective rooms. They both goes out in lawn to spend sometime together.
Kushan makes an excuse to his wife and comes out of his room and knocks on Manav’s room. Manav opens the door and he is surprised by seeing Kushan at the late hour.
“What happened Chachu, do you need something?” Saying this Manav moves aside so Kushan can enters.
“I’ll not beat around the bush, I’m here to talk about Ritwik.” Kushan said after entering inside the room.
“What talk about Ricky?” Manav asked being confused.
“I want to discuss about today morning’s incident at the time of breakfast. Were you serious or just making fun of him?”
“No Chachu, I’m serious. He told me yesterday night.”
“Do you know who is that girl?”
“What happened suddenly Chachu, why are you asking this, anything serious?”
“Nothing my son, I’m just worried about Ritwik’s future, if you know name than tell me!”
“Don’t worry Chachu, I’ll make him understand and maybe that girl’s name is Palak Mehta.”
“OK thanks beta, don’t tell this to Ritwik, otherwise he’ll never share anything with you and I don’t want to be reason behind it.”
“Nothing like that going to happen, do you know the girl?”
“Yes, she is Shekhar Mehta’s daughter, I saw her today in the office.”
“Oh! Mehta’s the merger one, right Chachu?”
“Yes, the same.”
“Chachu, you here, do you need anything?”Jenny asked after entering inside her room.
“I was here to talk with Manav. But I've finished my talk, Good night kids.
“Good night Chachu.” Jenny & Manav said in unison.
After that Kushan left to his room.
In Ritwik’s room:
Ritwik is sitting on his bed doing something in his phone when suddenly something strikes him and he said to himself, “I think I shall find her on social media.”
He starts searching her account on Instagram and he finds her account and it is her profile picture. But he notices that she had less followers & following and also her account is private unlike him he has huge number of followers.
Now, he is in dilemma whether he send her request or not? But thinking positively he click on the follow button and waited for her acceptance. But still after 15 mins of waiting he didn’t get any notification from her, so thinking that she must be asleep, he also slept.
