8 Pending Request
PALAK’S POV :
Today I wake up little early, 6:15. Now, I don’t want to sleep again otherwise I’ll not get up on time. I take my phone and there are so many notifications but what catch my attention is Mr. Oberio’s request on Instagram.
So, Mr. OBEROI is stalking me!!
But why he is stalking me?
“I think he likes you.” My subconscious mind said.
“There is nothing like that.” I replied back to my mind.
“Areey, I tell you, he likes you that’s why he is stalking you.” My subconscious mind stated.
“These all are nonsense talks, there is nothing like this, Okay!” I resorted back.
“Okay fine, but are you going to accept or not?” My subconscious mind asked.
“Neither I will accept nor I will reject, I’ll put it pending.” I answered.
“You are much more famous than Ritwik, that’s why you are not going to accept the request, right?” My subconscious mind said sarcastically.
“Stop being sarcastic and shut up, let me do my routine work.” I shushed my subconscious mind.
Before getting up from the bed, text of Tani pops up of wishing me “Good morning aloo.” She knows that I hate this name, still she is addressing me with that name.
But have to reply back or else she’ll gonna kill me in the morning only. I replied her, “Good morning Jeera”, now it’s my payback time.
She replied “Don‘t call me that.”
“So, you also stop calling me aloo.“ I replied.
“That’s my birth right aloo.” She replied with a laughing and heart emoji.
“Same pinch Jeera.”
“Leave this aloo Jeera, we’ll continue it some other day, firstly I have some sizzling thing to share with you.” I typed much faster than before.
“Sizzling talks in the morning that’s too by your side, share it fast, I can’t wait more.” She replied with excitement emoji.
“Hold your breathe, Mr. Oberio had sent me a follow request!!”
“What the f**k? He ‘The Ritwik Oberoi’ sent a follow request to YOU, don’t tell me that you haven’t accepted the request.”
“Maybe, you’re right!”
“I think you are Queen Victoria, that’s why you haven’t accept it yet. You’re highness, what do you think? He'll come to you and say please accept my request.” Sarcasm is dripping from her reply.
“Nothing like that, I’ll accept it in few days. OK now bye, I have to go, I’ll talk to you later.”
After texting her bye, I see the clock and it’s 7 already. Today, I can’t go for a walk as I’m late.
END OF PALAK’S POV.
THIRD PERSON POV:
Palak head outwards washroom and fresh up. 30 mins later, she comes to kitchen after being ready in white slit cut kurti, leaves printed on it and she matched it with black jeans.She started preparing for breakfast and after sometime Smita and Kavya joins her.
“Good morning Mumma & bhabhi.” Palak said chopping green chilies and putting them aside, she takes flour in a vessel.
“Good morning, piyu.” Smita and Kavya said in unison.
“What’s my baby cooking ?” saying this Smita encircle her hand around Palak’s shoulder.
“Mumma I’m not a baby, I’m a grown up girl.” She said with a cute pout and listening this Kavya started laughing.
Looking at Kavya’s laughing face, Palak said with a grumpy face,“ What’s funny bhabhi?”
“Nothing funny, it’s just that you are cooking after so many days, I’m just thinking that are we going to have breakfast or not.” Saying this she along with Smita started laughing.
“ That’s not funny, I can cook better than both of you.” Saying this she gestures them towards the kitchen’s door saying that she’ll cook on her own today, so you both leave“
Hearing this they both giggled and lefts kitchen.Then Palak started making breakfast and after finishing, she goes to living room to call everyone for breakfast.
“What my princess cooked for all of us?” Shekhar asked taking Palak in a side hug and ruffling her hairs.
“Aloo bhaji and fluffy hot Puris.” She replied with excitement and brushed her hairs with fingers to adjust them. Listening this both Shekhar and Veer said together with excitement ‘MY FAVORITE’.
The looked at each other and laughs. “Doll, I’m very hungry and after listening Aloo Bhaji, I’m hunger is multiple into hundred, so serve me fast and first.” Saying this he drags Palak towards the dinning table and Palak giggles on her brother’s antic.
They all sit for the breakfast and with lots of bickering and fun, everyone praises Palak for her food. Her grandma had put the responsibility of breakfast on Palak but she refuses and make understand her grandma by saying that she don’t have time in his routine but today she missed the walk that’s why she made breakfast.
Than everyone left for their respective work places.

OBEROI VILLA:
RITWIK’S POV:
As usual I wake up at my time. The first thing I done is to check my phone. I opened Instagram but there is no notification from Ms. Palak.
She haven’t accepted my request, maybe she is still sleeping. Putting my phone on side table, I move towards washroom. After freshening up I left for Gym. I started my work out. Later on, Manav, Jenny and Ruhani joins me.
Today we done lots of fun during workout. Than, we all moved towards our rooms to get ready for work. Its 8 am, I checked my phone again but still nothing. There are notifications in bunch but the notification which I want is not there. I think she had not checked her phone yet. Taking shower I get ready in my work clothes, I was wearing my watch when I heard mom shouted my name,“Ritwik!”. I said coming and go downstairs. Everyone is waiting for me on dinning table.

THIRD PERSON POV:
“Sorry people I’m little late.” Saying this situation besides Manav.
“You are not little late, we all were waiting for you from last fifteen minutes.” Manav said filing his plate with food.
“I already said sorry.” Ritwik said taking his cup of coffee.
They all had breakfast and everyone is leaving for work.
In Ritwik’s car:
Ritwik is driving and he is in deep thoughts. He is thinking about Palak that why she didn’t accept his request till now? Then he remembered that today Palak is coming with her team to the office and then he decided that he’ll ask her about the request. “God! Ritwik, why are you behaving like a teenager, who have some crush on a girl.”He scolded himself.
At Oberoi’s office
He reached office and director goes to his cabin and asked his PA about today’s schedule. His PA is elaborating his schedule for the day but Ritwik’s mind only captured the time of Palak’s arrival.
“Sir, are you okay with this or I’ll reschedule it?” His PA asked looking at confused face.
“Han! Repeat the schedule.” Ritwik said as he was not concentrating at first.
His PA repeated his schedule and Ritwik noted in agreement. Then, he dismissed PA and starts doing his work.
At Mehta’s office
Palak and Shekhar reached office and goes towards their respective cabins.
Shekhar’s PA come to Palak and inform her about the work which they have to start at Oberoi’s and for that she with her team should be ready by 10:30 as you have appointment at 11. Palak confirms his reminder and starts doing her work.
At 10:30 with her team leaves for Oberoi’s.They reached Oberoi’s and asked receptionist for appointment. She replied that now they don’t need any appointments or timings to visit Oberoi’s as Ritwik sir has informed that now Mehta’s are a vital part of Oberoi’s. Go ahead, sir is already waiting for you all in the conference room. They all head towards conference room. Ritwik is waiting there with some of his workers, Palak reaches there and she with her whole team greets Ritwik formally. They all take a sit and Ritwik informs them that some workers from Oberoi’s will be your helping hand for arrangements of the decor. The clients also arrived in time and they start the meeting and Palak shows her presentation with some new designs and themes which was liked by the clients. They selected a theme and floral decor for the marriage function. A thorough discussion on the function between clients, Ritwik and Palak about the decor, food and beverages, starters to main courses, different decorations in different rituals, from the entry of the bride till the farewell of bride, every little thing which is necessary was made. Clients are highly satisfied and praised both Ritwik and Palak. The clients left and it’s lunch time, so Ritwik suggest them to have lunch here only. He turned towards Palak as she is sitting beside him and asked her, “I hope you don’t have any problem Ms.Palak?”
“Thank you for asking Mr. Oberoi, I don’t have any problem.” She replied with a smile and tell her team to have lunch here only.
“Ms. Palak would you mind having lunch with me?” Ritwik asked politely getting up from his seat.
She also gets up and said, “In your private lounge?”
“Yes, how do you know?” saying this he opened the door of conference room for Palak.
“From the last two times, I met house at your private lounge only!” saying this she also moves out with Ritwik and she hears him chuckling on her reply.
They reach to the doorstep of private lounge and Ritwik opens the door for Palak and Ritwik entered after Palak, he pull chair for her and she said a small thank you and is seated. He sits opposite side of her.
“Ms. Palak, what will you have?” He said give her the menu. She takes it and replies, “I still haven’t said for lunch.” There is a mischievous smile on her face.
“I thought you come with me here maybe it was a yes, but it’s okay if you are not comfortable.” He said confusingly and he is nervous too.
“Mr. OBEROI I was joking and I’m comfortable here with you.” She said genuinely and looking directly in his eyes.
Ritwik is so overwhelmed by this reply and smiled genuinely looking at her eyes.
There warlock is interrupted by butler he asked them that what will they have?
Ritwik looks at Palak, before he speaks Palak says, “You choose Mr. OBEROI.”
“Veg. or Non-Veg?” Ritwik asks
“I will have only veg.” Palak replied and Ritwik nodded at her and give order to butler and dismiss him.
“By the way you are forgetting something.”
“What?”
“Yesterday, I had asked you about supervisior thing!”
“What about that?”
“I asked that why are working as a supervisor in your dad's organization, I just asked out of curiosity.”
“I want to start step by step and want to learn everything, first I started as an intern and by learning everything and working hard I got this position.”
“I’m impressed.”
“Thank you.” In meantime their lunch arrived.
It is Panner Angara, rumali roti and dal makhni and Jeera rice, seeing Panner her eyes twinkled and it is noticed by Ritwik and he chuckles and said I think you like my choice. She smiled fully and said, “I just love Panner.”
“So who were we waiting for, let’s start.” Saying this they started their lunch with mild talks.
After finishing their lunch, Palak thanked Mr.Oberio for such an amazing lunch.
Then, they both left towards conference room as Ritwik’s PA informs him few minutes ago that all the workers and ream members are waiting for both you. They reached there and Palak’s team member tells her that all the props are here for the function. Palak discussed everything with her team and allowed there respective works and after sometime they all left for the venue except Ritwik because he has important thing with other clients. He was in his meeting when he got so many calls from his friends but phone was on silent, so he didn’t notice.
So how was the lunch ??
