4 Formal Meeting
At OBEROI VILLA:
It’s 6 AM, Ritwik wake up and sit on bed putting his head on headrest. He is thinking something deeply.
Ritwik’s POV:
Does Ishani like me? Why she said yes for this alliance? Did I say anything wrong?
But I had never saw Ishani in that way! Why aunt told me that I have broken Ishani’s heart?
Have I gave any wrong signals to Ishani? I never feel that Ishani likes me!
GOD!! What is happening with my life? I need a cold shower to control my thoughts!!
While going towards bathroom he sees his and Ishani’s picture on the desk. What have you done Isha?
Firstly you should have to confront this to me and then we should confront it to our family but you have messed up everything. I take my phone and dialed Ishani’s number.
She picked up in third ring.
“Hello!” Why she sounds so low? Is she crying?
“Isha, are you crying? ” I said little panicked.
“No I’m not” Why do you call me? Ishani said little sternly. Why she’s talking like this? She never asked me this kind of questions!
“I called you to talk about last night.” I said little hesitatingly. She is silent for few moments. Why she is not replying. “Isha, are you there?”
“Yes, I’m here. Why now you wanna talk about last night?” Why she sounding so harsh?
“Isha, can we meet today at your favorite café?” I asked politely.
“No, not at all, I don’t want to meet you!” She said angrily and hang up the call.
“What the hell! Did she just hang up on me?”
What is happening in my life! If she don’t want to talk than let it me, I will not trouble her.
END OF RITWIK’S POV:
THIRD PERSON POV:
By stomping his foot, he goes to washroom. After 30 mins he comes out the shower and he is setting his hairs. After being ready, he goes downstairs for breakfast.
Everyone is discussing about yesterday’s night but seeing Ritwik coming towards them, they stopped discussing. Everyone stares at Ritwik as it’s not the usual time of Ritwik for breakfast.
Everyone is giving him “What are you doing here right now” look. Getting irritating by that stare he asked annoyingly, “What? Is there anything on my face? ”
Everyone nodded negatively. Seeing Ritwik’s irritated face, Roshini asked him that what are you doing here right now, you are supposed to be in the gym or do you have any important meeting to attain.
Oh! I just forget about it. No one asked further questions to him because everyone knows the reason behind his behavior.
After sometime they all had there breakfast. After completing his breakfast, he stands up and tell everyone that he is going to office. Dadu stops him and tell him that it’s 8 AM only, why are you in such a hurry.
Usually you left at 9 AM. Ritwik said that he haven’t seen time. OK then see it now yourself. Dadu said that come on champion, I’ll show you my lovely garden.
Dadu with Ritwik goes to the garden which is taken ample care by Dadu. Dadu describes each and everything about his garden. The flowers, the plants, the grass, the aroma, the names of flowers which was given by Dadu and the peace of walking barefoot on the grass.
By all these things, Ritwik’s mood uplifts and he thanks Dadu for it. Dadu says that whenever you feel low, come to my madhubala (name of red rose which is given by Dadu) or come to Kalavati (name of pink rose). Ritwik smiles and gives a hug to Dadu for his company.
Dadu pats Ritwik’s back and said that don’t get worried by these things, this is that stage of life where these things are normal. It’s first time for you and even from your best friend, you might be sad, but cheer up and use your time to enhance business, these things come and go.
Don’t make them part of life. This little talk with Dadu, gives Ritwik’s thought cool down. It’s already 8:45 Am, Ritwik said bye to Dadu and left for office.
On reaching the office, his manager informed that today one client is coming in afternoon for booking on large scale basis. Ritwik is happy by listening this.
In his cabin, further his manager informed that the clients which is coming already decided there event manger and we are not hiring any. Ritwik is surprised by listening this as till now no one has done this.
IN MEHTA MANSION:
At 6:30 AM, Palak wakes up by the sound of Alarm. After freshing up and changing into tee and sweat pants , she goes for a walk at nearby garden.
When is out for walk, her mom and sister-in-law prepared breakfast. Palak comes back after an hour, seeing everyone present in hall, she wish them GOOD MORNING and left to take a bath.
After half an hour, she comes and had breakfast with everyone. She is discussing about the new project and meeting which is in afternoon with her dad.
“Dad, I have to visit the another site as they are facing some issues. Is it necessary for me to attain the meeting in afternoon?” Palak informed Shekhar.
“ Yes, you have to because you are the supervisor so your presence is needed and what about our presentation , is it ready? ” Shekhar asked.
“Presentation is ready but little modifications are have to be done, which I’ll do as early as possible.” Palak replied.
“OK then, complete it fast, you come directly to meeting place, I’ll reach there from office only.” Shekhar said.
“OK done, let’s go. But dad, you go by car, I’ll come by Vespa (Two wheeler)” Palak informed.
Saying this, they left for the office.
MEHTA EVENT ORGANIZERS LTD:
Palak reaches the office, everyone greets her with GOOD MORNING and she too replies with a smile. She goes to her cabin and starts preparing for today’s visit and meetings.
After an hour, she left for the site by informing her dad and assuring him that she’ll be on time for the meeting. After sometime, she completed her work and cleared the doubts of workers, working there. She left for Oberio’s meeting little early as she wants to check the venue. She reached Oberio‘s Hotel.
AT OBERIO’S HOTEL :
She goes towards reception and asked about the scheduled meeting at 2 PM. Receptionist confirmed the meeting and shows the way to the conference room and told her that sir will be there in a while.
Saying thanks to receptionist, Palak left for conference room. Someone is already present in the room when she opens the door and there is only one light illuminating. Palak seeing someone, she said, “ Excuse me. ”
END OF THIRD PERSON POV
RITWIK’S POV:
After lunch, I am sitting in my cabin and going through the monthly balance sheet and meanwhile my phone rings, it is mom, so I picked up in hurry because she never calls on work time.
“ Hello mom, what happened?”
“Nothing happened beta, You tell me, did you have lunch? ”
“Yes mom, I just finished it sometime before and checking balance sheets.”
“OK fine, we’ll talk later do your work.”
“OK but did you have a lunch. ”
“I’m just going have but I wanted to confirm that if you have done or not.”
“Mom, it’s past lunch time, you’ll having it now!”
“Fine, I’m going to have it only.”
“OK then go, Bye.”
“Bye beta.”
I hanged up the call and went to conference room to check everything one last time. I thought to spend some alone time here. I was massaging my temple when I heard a melodious voice ‘Excuse me’.
I have heard this voice before Also! But I don’t remember where? So I turned around to see who she is? She is the same girl to whom I meet yesterday at lunch time.
We both said in unison “You”
“Obviously, I’m the owner.” I said with little attitude.
“I’m sorry, I’m not aware of it.” She again said with same politeness.
“It’s OK, Why are you here?” I also asked little politely.
“I’m here for a meeting regarding the event which is going to held in your hotel and our company is selected as the event organizer.” She informed me.
“OK then, have a seat will start the meeting in few minutes.” I said gesturing her to seat.
“Not now, Mr. Oberio I’m just a supervisor, Mr. Mehta along with clients will be here in sometime and then we can start the meeting.” She informed me but my mind gets stucks at one thing
‘Mr.Oberoi’.It’s sound so nice in her voice. Ritwik get a grip on yourself, be professional.
“It’s perfectly fine, we’ll wait for them.” I said taking a seat.
There is an awkward silence between and us. I don’t know where to start from and what to say? I ended up asking about her name. ‘Palak Mehta’ she said.
At least I get to know her name. I am going to say something but before that Mr. Mehta and clients arrives. I stands up and greeted them. She also do the same.
I asked to be seated and have some refreshments and after that, the meeting is started. Meeting is going on, the ideas of Mr. Mehta are much creative and attractive.
After sometime Mr. Mehta said, “Miss Palak, show your presentation.”
Okayyy! So she is not married. But why I am being happy for that? Concentrate on meeting.
On concentrating the meeting, I found she is good with explanation, her gestures and expressions while explaining things, her thorough speech.
But why am I detailing her? Be more professional Ritwik!!! After sometime meeting is over. Palak is seated at her place after such a beautiful presentation. Mr. Mehta whispered to Miss. Palak,“You did a good job beta.” Why he called her beta? Leave it, why should I care.
After a little more discussion, we finalized the deal and its decided that the Mehtas can start the work from tomorrow in the particular venue. We thanked clients and they left the conference room, then I shook hands with Mr. Mehta and Miss. Palak. I said asked them,“Can we have some talk in my cabin.” And they agreed, we head towards my cabin.
END OF RITWIK’S POV
PALAK’S POV:
I woke up little early. I freshen up and changed clothes and went out for jog. After sometime I came back and had shower and then breakfast with my family.
During breakfast I informed dad about the Oberio’s and my site visit. After completing breakfast we left. After that I visited site and explained and cleared their doubts. After sometime I left for Oberio’s because my work completed little early and I informed about it to dad.
I reached there and inquired about meeting and when I entered conference room I saw a figure and I said “Excuse me”. When I got to know that the man which I met yesterday in the hotel during lunch time was freaking RITWIK OBEROI, the successful businessman.
Then we had a little talk after that our meeting started. Everyone liked my presentation and even dad is proud of me. After that the deal got finalized and after shaking hands the clients left.
Then we shook our hands with Mr.Oberoi and we were about to leave when he stopped us and asked for a talk in his cabin. Then we reached his cabin. The cabin is pretty and classy. He gestures us to seat and he also take a seat.
END OF PALAK’S POV
THIRD PERSON POV:
Everyone is seated in Ritwik’s cabin. Ritwik said to Mr. Mehta, “I have one proposal for you.”
Mr. Mehta asked little confusingly,“ What type of proposal?”
“I want a merger between our companies , but before finalizing anything I have to discuss and take permissions from the Board of Directors.” Ritwik proposed the idea.
“It’s a really good idea Mr. Oberoi! I will also conduct a meeting with Board of Directors and will inform you tomorrow.
Till now Palak is silent as she don’t want to interrupt in between because she is still not experienced in these things. Mr. Mehta and Mr. Oberio exchanged their visiting cards and then Mr. Mehta and Palak left Ritwik’s cabin.
