18 CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

Seungcheol stayed in the Clinic all day, looking out for Jeonghan. He knew that Jeonghan needs someone to take care of him, and he has that guts and feels that it's him. He needs to take care of this soft guy in front of him right now, still unconscious and Seungcheol was hoping that he would wake up sooner or later this day.

He fell asleep without him knowing. And by that, Jeonghan woke up and roamed his eyes around. He realized he's in the Clinic, and then he saw a person sleeping beside him, Seungcheol.

Jeonghan didn't bother to wake him up. He thought that he's a burden already for Seungcheol, he needs to rest. "I'm sorry, Seungcheol.." Jeonghan mumbles.

He stared at Seungcheol who's peacefully sleeping beside him. He can feel his heart beat once again. What is this feeling? He thought. He tried to erase the feeling because he shouldn't feel it that way, but he couldn't. It's just really there. It's natural and it was an overwhelming feeling. He felt it just now. He never felt it before.

Suddenly, he felt a vibration sound on his pocket. He slowly fetch it from his pants without waking Seungcheol up. And there, he realized,

He forgot about Sowon.

Jeonghan-ah, how are you? Are you busy?

He almost hit his face but he didn't want to wake Seungcheol up. He's too busy with everything, including Seungcheol, and he almost- not almost, he literally forgot about Sowon.

To : My Wish 💖

I'm fine. I'll call you later, just quite busy rn.

He texted it back and put his phone at the desk beside the clinic bed. He wants to hit himself for forgetting he has Sowon. He has a girlfriend to check onto. He doesn't even have any updates about her!

He'll call her later. Hope he would remember.

Then, he felt something moving, it was Seungcheol slowly waking up. Jeonghan didn't move an inch. "Oh, you're already awake." Seungcheol gave notice on Jeonghan who's already awake. "Anything you want to eat? I'll get them," Seungcheol hurriedly asked. Jeonghan needs to eat.

"Just, get my lunch in my bag. Junhwi made those for me." Jeonghan asked, but before that, Seungcheol took his phone out, he texted someone. He texted Jun to bring Jeonghan's lunch here. He needs to keep an eye on Jeonghan right now, he doesn't want to leave his side.

"I already asked Junhwi to bring it here. I can't leave you at this kind of state." Seungcheol said and put his phone aside.

Jeonghan grabbed Seungcheol's hand and squeezed it gently. "Thank you, Seungcheol." He spitted it out, wholeheartedly. Seungcheol smiled at him, "No worries. You're doing me a favor, so I need to do the same thing. We're even now." Seungcheol let out a smirk which made both of them laugh.

How I wish we're always like this. Seungcheol thought. That smile he wished that was only for him. He can't identify what is he feeling right now. All he knew is that, Jeonghan should always be happy, and that's what matters to him the most right now.

"What's your plan now, Areum? The girl you're talking with isn't even here. Are you just gonna wait for her while Seungcheol and that Jeonghan guy spend their times together like this?" Yena asked Areum. She herself couldn't believe the information they heard.

There's a tip from an anonymous person that Areum talked with, that Jeonghan has a girlfriend that was currently in Japan for modelling. So they concluded it right. They're just pretending.

"Now you know that they're just acting, do your move," Nayun provoked, but Areum just glared at her.

"Nayun's right. Even if they're just pretending, there's still a chance they might fall for each other. Who knows?" Yena agreed.

"I'm not just the storm who's coming. Let them fall. But we'll see their downfall soon." Areum smirked, and do so the two other girls. "Just wait and see. Let me teach him a lesson first," Areum added up and gritted her teeth.

She's coming with a big storm behind her.

A knock outside the clinic was heard. Seungcheol got up from his seat and Jeonghan followed him with his eyes. Seungcheol opened the door and it revealed Jun who brought Jeonghan's food.

"Sorry if I was a bit late. We ate first before I've gone here. It's lunch break right now." Jun said and handed Jeonghan his lunch. Seungcheol immediately fixed the table (just the table used in Hospitals where you can eat even you're in your bed. Idk what it's called but yea) for Jeonghan to make him eat comfortable at his bed.

Then, Wonwoo also came in, he's a few minutes late, "Oh, uh, he's with me. I thought that you need to eat also so I dragged Wonwoo with me." Jun explained, while Jeonghan and Seungcheol suspiciously eyed Jun.

He must be interested in Wonwoo, you know?

Both Wonwoo and Jun came in and sat at the couch in front of Jeonghan's bed. "How are you?" Jun asked, talking to Jeonghan. Jeonghan dropped his utensils properly and chew his food first before answering, "I'm quite fine now."

"Seungcheol hyung must be a great nurse." Wonwoo said teasingly. Seungcheol suddenly blushed and his ears turned red. He hid his face so Wonwoo would stop teasing them.

"Probably," Jeonghan answered Wonwoo's teasing and smiled a bit. He finished his food that Jun made.

After that, Jun and Wonwoo bid a goodbye. Since Seungcheol and Jeonghan couldn't participate with the decorating stuff at the Gymnasium, Jun and Wonwoo voluntereed to help their friends, and do so Jihoon and Seokmin. All of them were excused for the rest of the day in behalf of Jeonghan and Seungcheol. Jeonghan's too serious with his Student Council responsibility that's why he forgot to eat that made him look like this. They decided to finish it immediately so it won't be such a burden for their President, Yoon Jeonghan.

"Are you really fine now? I'm gonna take you home after you eat. You're dismissed for the whole day due to your condition," Seungcheol said while looking attentively on Jeonghan.

Jeonghan was about to protest because he didn't want to let the others to take care of his responsibilities but Seungcheol immediately cut him off, "No buts. You should take care of yourself. And as the son of the school owner, you have to obey me right now." Seungcheol said firmly. He sounded like a mad boyfriend to be honest.

"But- it would be a burden for them.." Jeonghan quietly said and he pouted! That was the cutest thing Seungcheol has ever seen. He pat his head and said, "It would be a more burden if you helped them when you're not fine. They will be worried sick about you so please listen to me, okay?" In just a snap, Seungcheol became softer now.

"Eat your meal now," Jeonghan said. He doesn't want Seungcheol to be the same as him. "Alright, commander." Seungcheol jokingly said and he saluted on Jeonghan and both of them laughed.

Both of them finished their meals, they're both full now. "Any drinks you would like to have?" Seungcheol asked, he will make Junhwi to buy. "Coke will do," Jeonghan replied and Seungcheol immediately messaged Junhwi to buy the both of them two bottles of coke.

"We'll get your things on the way out later. Do you need anything? Just tell me," Seungcheol softens his voice. He doesn't even know either. He's not like this before with Areum. He's only like this with Jeonghan. Only Jeonghan.

"Eopseo (Nothing). I just want to go home," Jeonghan replied pouting. Jeonghan never showed his cute side to others.

Both of them showed their hidden sides to each other, which they never knew they actually have. Both of them were showing the real them. The real version of themselves, without any hesitations, without hiding any sides on each other.

A few moments later, someone opened the door which happens to be Jun together with Seungkwan. "Here's your coke." he said and handed the two bottle of cokes to the both of them.

"We're almost done decorating the whole Gymnasium. You should rest so, we finished it immediately." Seungkwan said, but Jeonghan still eyed him, "Don't worry. We decorated it according to the plan and according to what you wanted it to turn out." Seungkwan added that made Jeonghan sighed in relief.

"Hansol's not with you?" Seungcheol asked that made Seungkwan gulped, specially with Jun's presence.

They don't know yet. Jeonghan thought.

"They don't know yet.." Jeonghan simply whispered to Seungcheol and he nods and bites his fingers for not noticing.

"Wait, what's going on tho?" Jun asked but Seungkwan immediately defended, "Nothing."

"Are you really fine? You can absent tomorrow so you can rest," Seungkwan suggested that was immediately agreed by Seungcheol and Jun.

"No, I'm really fine. Really. I can go to school tomorrow." Jeonghan reassured them. The three just sighed, specially Seungkwan because he knew, he can't change Jeonghan's decision anymore.

"Let's go," Seungcheol said. They're going home now. It's 2 hours before the class ends but Jeonghan was dismissed for today due to his condition so he will leave early than the others.

"Give me your bag. I'll carry them," Seungcheol said and took Jeonghan's bag.

Jeonghan was the first one to go out from the Clinic, followed by Seungcheol who closed the door. Seungcheol held Jeonghan's hand, "Let's go," he said that casually as if it's nothing. Jeonghan felt it again. His heart beat isn't normal anymore. It keeps on beating fast than his usual heart beat.

"Hey, are you sick? Why are you so red? Do you have any fever?" Seungcheol gave notice on Jeonghan who's so red right now. He was about to place his palm on Jeonghan's forehead when he stopped Seungcheol, "No.. I'm fine. Maybe because it's quite hot," Jeonghan said, trying to sound natural and not that nervous. Seungcheol gave in and let it go.

They walked passed by their classroom, and the teacher is still teaching, "Wait for me," Seungcheol said and let go of Jeonghan's hand. Seungcheol knocked on the door, and the teacher let him in. "I'm just gonna get my things, Sir." Seungcheol said and the teacher nods. Seungcheol is dismissed also.

Seungcheol went out and held Jeonghan's hand once again, "Come on, let's go." he said and dragged Jeonghan away. But, Jeonghan met Areum's eyes. It's full of hatred and jealousy, but he didn't mind.

Seungcheol and Jeonghan reached the parking lot, and Seungcheol opened the car door for him, Jeonghan sat and buckle up his seatbelt. Seungcheol walked to the back seat to place both of their bags in there before hopping in the driver's seat.

The whole ride was too quiet because Jeonghan fell asleep the whole ride. He's probably tired as Seungcheol thought so he didn't bother to wake him up, and instead, he gets the small pillow at the back seat and placed it on Jeonghan's head to prevent him from knocking his head on the window.

As soon as they reach Jeonghan's apartment. Seungcheol stared at Jeonghan, like he used to.

He had the urge to kiss him again but he didn't. He's already taking advantage of him if he does it. And then, Jeonghan slowly woke up, so Seungcheol immediately fixed his posture before Jeonghan could even catch him staring at him.

"Oh, we're already here.." Jeonghan said and rubbed his eyes. He's too cute when he's rubbing his eyes, I know. (≧▽≦)

Jeonghan unbuckled his seatbelt and do so Seungcheol. Both of them went out from the car and Seungcheol get both of their bags inside the back seat.

"Here," Seungcheol handed Jeonghan his bag, and Jeonghan gratefully took it. "Thank you so much, Cheollie."

Seungcheol felt his heart beating so fast. C-Cheollie?

"Yeah, Cheollie. It's cute you know? And besides, I can actually tell that, we're friends now. So I'll give Cheollie as your nickname." Jeonghan smiled so bright. Seungcheol kinda felt an ache when he said friend but he smiled back.

"Yeah right, Hannie." Seungcheol responded and both of them laughed with their cheesy acts and with their cheesy nicknames.

"I'll go in now," Jeonghan said and bid a goodbye on Seungcheol.

"Ne, annyeong! (Okay, goodbye!)" Seungcheol said and waved at Jeonghan.

Jeonghan went inside the apartment and Seungcheol hopped in his car. "Why did I even got hurt when he said I was just a friend?" he asked himself. He's in denial.

Suddenly, a smoke blew up. Seungcheol can smell it. Then he went out of the car to see that the apartment is on fire. He called for an emergency because the other houses might get burn too.

He immediately went in without any hesitation. And there, he saw Jeonghan on the floor, slowly losing his consciousness because of the smoke that the fire is causing. He's now having trouble to breathe.

"Jeonghan-ah, wake up!" Seungcheol tried to slap him gently but Jeonghan won't wake up. He immediately took Jeonghan's bag and he carried Jeonghan out of the apartment.

When they went out, the firefighters and the ambulance also arrived, which Seungcheol was glad with.

Jeonghan was put on a stretcher to help him breathe with the pumping device or whatever it is called. Seungcheol immediately locked his car and quickly hopped in the ambulance.

He took out his phone and dialled Jun's number. But it's cannot be reached. They're still probably in school.

Seungcheol held Jeonghan's hand and he whispered to himself,

"Jeonghan-ah.. wake up, okay? I can't lose you right now."

I have fallen for you already and I hate to admit it, so please, wake up and be safe.
