64 Katana

Sheloah was with Veon, Tyler, and Josh. Veon sat on the wheel chair as Tyler was pushing him while they strolled in the hotel's garden. Sheloah saw that her classmates were talking to some members of the Weapons of Massive Destruction. She was a bit relieved to see that they were getting along rather than being involved in another fight. Maybe these were only a few people who never wanted any fights in the first place.

"When are we going to leave," Josh asked and Sheloah shrugged her shoulders.

"I don't know. Once Veon's okay, we may leave," she just answered and Veon sighed. He felt like he was pulling the group down.

"Sorry. Because of me, we got delayed," Veon apologized and Tyler shook his head.

"You don't need to say sorry, though. You deserve to rest since you fought for the group," Tyler comforted and they all smiled at Veon.

It was already 9:23 in the morning. "I'll just head over to the river to catch some air. You guys have some time to yourselves," Sheloah suddenly said and Veon looked at her a little worried.

"Hey, Sheloah… don't wander off too far," Veon said and Tyler and Josh teased the two as they saw it as a public display of affection. Sheloah rolled her eyes at the two.

"I won't," Sheloah assured Veon and she walked away.

Sheloah decided to have some time of her own. She wanted to relax, too. She had been worrying herself too much about Veon and she thought that she needed some time for herself.

She arrived at the side of the river and was curious to see peculiar noises, such as clashes of what seemed to be a blade. She walked around and had reached one tree. She saw Geof having his training. It wasn't a gun he was using, but a katana.

It got Sheloah's interest as she watched him train. Geof punched the tree and there were leaves falling. As the leaves were falling, he tried to slash some of them in half. It had amazed Sheloah.

Geof was moving his body as if he was used to using a sword. He seemed accurate and flexible as well! She thought that she only saw people like these in shows but little did she know that she would see this in reality.

Geof noticed that he was being watched so Sheloah stopped staring at him as she coughed.

"Hi, Sheloah," Geof greeted him and Sheloah smiled at him.

"Hi, Geof. Sorry to disturb you," she said and Geof smiled at her politely.

"Do you want to be a close ranged attacker?"

His sudden question took Sheloah by surprise.

"Close ranged? You mean I'd go head on with the zombies," she asked and Geof nodded at her. This made Sheloah open her eyes wide.

'Who would want to face the zombies head on!?'

"I don't know," Sheloah answered honestly. "I'm kinda scared thinking about being near zombies for attack. What if the zombie acted faster than me," she said and Geof chuckled slightly.

"What are you even scared of? You seem to be a feisty girl," he commented and Sheloah laughed at his comment.

"I don't know," she just said and Geof sighed before he spoke.

"Don't you know that you and Veon are the heroes of your group," Geof said and Sheloah looked at him.

"Why do you say that," she just asked and Geof asked another question.

"What's a hero for you," he asked and Sheloah answered half-heartedly.

"Skilled people," she said and Geof shook his head.

"Heroes are more than skilled. They often have amazing advantages beyond the abilities of ordinary people. Advantages often allow heroes to break the rules, gaining access to and doing things most people cannot, or simply doing better," he said and Sheloah furrowed her eyebrows, not sure what he meant.

"So your point is," Sheloah asked while waiting for Geof to speak again.

"My point is that you have to realize, Sheloah, that you and Veon are the heroes of other people especially in the situation at hand. You both have initiative as leaders. You may not know about the concepts I told you, but unconsciously, you are the embodiment of those concepts. You don't realize that you are actually doing what I said."

Geof smiled at her and Sheloah smiled back, feeling a little bit flattered by what he said.
