2 chapter 2

Bay." Came the smug reply.

Ash put out a hand to rub Bayleaf's head. "So you think you and the rest of my pokemon should dress fancy for the wedding?" He asked. When Bayleaf nodded, Ash looked at Serena. "You're the one who always dressed up your pokemon for your showcases." He said. "Think you can find some clothes like these for my pokemon for the wedding day?"

Serena nodded. "I know the best places to get all the clothes for pokemon." She held up the pages. "And now that I have these, I have an idea for what would look good on everyone. Thank you, Bayleaf and Smeargull."

"Bay, bayleaf bay." Bayleaf said as Ash rubbed her head.

Smeagull shrugged as it twirled the pencil in its paw. "Smeargull gull." It said.

On the papers were sketches done in pencil, simple drawing of Ash's pokemon in clothes. Greninja was drawn dressed smartly in a suit, Pikachu in a small but neat jacket, Hawlucha with its feathers neatly groomed and wearing a jacket, even Kingler dressed in a vest that fit snugly around its oddly shaped body.

Ash and the others looked over Serena's shoulder as she scanned the pages. "I think your pokemon want to look their best for the wedding." Tracey commented. "But whose idea was it to have Smeargull sketch it?"

Professor Oak glanced out the main doors. "Oh, Ash, if your mom wants you three back at the house by dark, you should get going."

Looking out the doors at the fading light, Ash and Serena nodded in agreement. Pikachu climbed onto Ash's shoulder while Serena carefully folded the papers and put them in her pocket. "Thank you again, Bayleaf and Smeargull." She said. To the professor, she added "and take good care of my Delphox for the night."

"Don't worry, we will." The professor said. "Off you go now, before Delilah starts to worry."

"And again, congratulations." Tracey said.

Ash and Serena waved goodbye as they walked out the doors and headed for the Ketchum house. Professor Oak, Tracey and the pokemon waved as well, before turning back inside to get ready for the evening.

Ash and Serena really are a good couple." Professor Oak mused as they walked back to check the pokemon.

Tracey nodded. "She really does bring out the best in him." Tracey scratched his head, thinking. "Sure I could sketch the on their wedding day, but a photo will look really nice too. As soon as I find that camera…."

"Smear-gull." Smeargull said, shaking his head in exasperation.

Something the matter? Bayleaf asked.

People say I'm the pokemon that causes a mess because of my artistic nature. Smeargull said. But it seems I'm better organized than my own trainer.

Bayleaf couldn't help giggling to herself as she trotted back to her pokeball for the night.

Ash, Serena and Pikachu arrived back at the Ketchum house before dark, where they found Delilah on the vid-phone, deep in discussion with Grace about the wedding.

"Well I don't know." Delilah was saying as Ash and Serena walked in the door. "I sort of like the mauve. Mysterious but still pretty."

"Yes, but would they go with the flowers?" Grace asked from the phone. "And what about the bridesmaids dresses."

"For those, I happen to like the…" Turning to pick up the catalogue Serena had got, Delilah noticed Ash and Serena were home. "Oh good, you're here. Did the professor enjoy the cupcake Brock made him?"

"Yes he did." Ash said. "I look forward to having mine now."

"Before you do that…" Delilah picked up the catalogue of dresses and rifled through it quickly. Finding the page she wanted, she held it open to Ash and Serena. "What do you think about these for the bridesmaid dresses? Simple, yet practical."

As Ash and Serena stepped into view of the phone to look at the catalogue, Grace piped up from the screen. "And Serena, I wanted to talk to you about the flowers for the wedding. Between the dress and your ring, I think we're going with too much 'blue as the sky' feel. What do you think about some lovely reds and yellows?"

Those dresses look nice, mom." Ash said. "Think you could get them in the colors you're looking for?"

"Which would have to match so many things." Grace said. She picked up a notepad she'd been scribbling on. "The dresses, the flowers, the suits for the groomsmen, the setting for the wedding…."

"Actually, I wanted to talk about that."

All eyes turned to Serena. A faint pink tinge appeared on her face at the attention, but when she held up her hand and looked at the ring on her finger, she grew the nerve to speak.

Facing the others, Serena said "Ash… when we met that day at pokemon summer camp, it was a day I can still remember so clearly. Shining sun, clear skies, warm weather, the beauty of nature all around." Serena paused, closing her eyes as she clenched her hand near her heart. "And then the same setting when you proposed to me. A clear summer evening, so calm and peaceful, the setting sun there in the sky…"

A smile formed on Serena's face as her imagination painted a new picture. "Clear skies, glowing flowers, our friends in bright colors, you in a tux and me in my dress…"

Serena was smiling broadly as she opened her eyes and looked at Ash, Pikachu, Delilah and her mom on the vid-phone screen. "I want to have a summer wedding. I want to get married at the end of this summer

Ash looked at Serena. "A summer wedding? At the end of this summer?" He looked at his mom, and Grace on the vid-phone. "I'm ok with that, but it will put a bit of a rush on the moms to get things ready."

Delilah smoothed a few wrinkles from her shirt and held up the dress catalogue. "I'm certainly willing to try." She said. "How about you Grace?"

Grace held up her notepad in one hand and a pencil in the other. "Ready, willing and able." She said. "If you two are ready to get married, we'll make it happen."

"Yes! A summer wedding!" Serena said, hugging Ash in delight as Pikachu hopped excitedly between their shoulders.

After Serena let go of him, Ash turned back to his mom and Grace. "You two shouldn't have to do everything." He said. "After all, it is our wedding. What can we do to help?"

Delilah thought for a moment. "The two of you could speak with Professor Oak tomorrow about using the lawn of his lab to hold the ceremony."  She said. "And of course we could use your help in getting the invitations ready."

"And all this about the decorations, the dresses and the set-up." Grace added from the screen. She looked at her to-do list. "So many things go into planning a wedding."

Serena looked at her mom on the screen. "It's ok mom. You don't have to do everything yourself. I'll help."

"In that case, I'd like you back here in Kalos." Grace said. "It will be a lot easier to plan all of this with you right here beside me instead of always trying to reach you by phone."

Serena looked shocked. "But mom!" She protested. "I just got here, Ash proposed to me and you agreed to help us set up a wedding for the end of the summer!" Serena clutched Ash's arm. "How can I come all the way back to Kalos now!?"

"To help us set up a wedding for the end of the summer." Grace replied pointedly. "There is a lot of work to be done in not a lot of time, and it will go faster and better with you here."

"I have to agree with her there, Serena." Delilah said. "It would be best if you are there with your mom to help her plan things. Everything should go smoother that way."

A miserable Serena hung her head. Taking her hand, Ash used the other to hold her chin and tip her head back up to look at him. "Come on Serena." Ash said. "Our moms are doing all of this for us. The least we can do is help them make sure it all goes well."

Looking into Ash's eyes, Serena's miserable look slowly changed back to a smile. "All right Ash." She said. "But I'm going to be calling you every night until I'm here for the ceremony."

"Works for me." Ash said with a grin.

"Well, now that that's settled, I'll get you booked on the next flight back to Kalos." Grace said. "The sooner you get here the sooner we can start the preparations."

"In the meantime, you two should be getting to bed." Delilah said. "It sounds like there's a lot of work to get started on tomorrow. And a good night's sleep is the best way to start it."

"Ok mom. Goodnight." Ash said.

"Night mom." Serena called to the screen.

Ash and Serena walked up the stairs hand-in-hand, Pikachu trailing behind them. Once they were gone, Delilah turned back to Grace on the screen. "A summer wedding does sound like a beautiful thing." She said. "But still…" Delilah motioned at the list still in Grace's hand. "The decorations, the outfits, the flowers, the guests…." Delilah rubbed at her eyes. "So much to do and so little time."

"But remember, it's for our kids." Grace said. "This will be the most important day of their lives." Grace shrugged. "And besides, you've seen how happy they make each other. A little stress is worth it."

Delilah nodded. "True." She settled herself a little more comfortably in the chair. "Actually, before I turn in for the night I wanted to talk to you about the layout for the wedding. I was thinking of some nice lawn chairs in summer colors…"

"Now hold on." Grace said. "What about the flowers? A wedding has to have flowers, and if the chairs are all colors they will take away from the flower setting."

"So what? Everything goes with white?" Delilah asked, raising an eyebrow. "I'm not sure if we can make that work…"

The talk went back and forth for a while longer, until both moms were doing more yawning then talking and decided to call it a night. Both hung up their phones and went to bed, their heads buzzing with plans for the biggest day of their children's lives.

Normally Ash slept in late, but the sound of his alarm clock combined with thoughts of all that needed to be done caused him to leap from his bed the next morning. Nudging Serena and Pikachu awake, the three of them hurriedly got ready and rushed downstairs for breakfast.

"I'm sure the professor will be surprised to see us." Ash said as he finished his toast and took his plate to the sink to rinse it.

"Yeah. Weren't we just there?" Serena asked with a giggle as she ate the last of her eggs and joined him at the sink.

Delilah looked over from where she was putting away the breakfast items. "Just be sure to ask him about the lawn for the ceremony." She said.

"And maybe we should talk to Tracey." Serena said. "Maybe he can help us out with the invites."

Pikachu looked up from his empty bowl. They're all talking about what they need to do to help with the wedding. He thought. But let's not forget that I have a few things to do too. The other pokemon and I aren't going to just sit and relax while our trainers do all the work.

Pikachu pawed some crumbs from his face and looked towards the door. "Pika!' He called to the others. When they all looked at him, Pikachu hopped down off the table and ran to the door. "Pika, pikachu!" He called, bouncing around.

"Looks like Pikachu's ready to go." Delilah said with a smile.

Ash walked to the door and took his hat from the coat rack near it. "Well, we have a lot we want to do." He said. "Might as well get started."

Serena joined him by the door. "Visit the professor to ask about the lawn, speak with Tracey for his help on the invites… anything else?" She asked.

"Make sure you're packed and ready to go." Delilah said. "I got a message from your mom this morning. She was able to book you on a flight back to Kalos. It leaves late this afternoon."

"Oh good." Serena said, disappointment plain in her voice.

Ash caught her hand as Pikachu took his place on his trainer's shoulder. "Come on, Serena." He said cheerfully. "Do it for us?"

Serena sighed. "Oh, all right Ash." She said. "But right now, I just don't want to think about leaving."

"Then think about dresses, flower patterns and guest seating arrangements." Delilah said, gently pushing them out the door. "If you can get the laboratory lawn for the ceremony, it will be a big weight off of Grace and me."

"All right mom." Ash called as he and Serena started walking. "We'll be back in time to get Serena packed up."

Delilah waved, then returned into the house. "Purse, walking shoes, list…" she said, rattling things off as she collected them. "Mimey!" She called.

As Mimey walked in from the other room where he'd been getting started on the dusting, Delilah motioned him towards the door. "Leave the dusting for now and come with me." She said. "I want to visit the local flower shop.

They have a nice selection."

"Mime." Mimey said, setting down his duster and hanging his apron on the coat rack until he returned.

Delilah and Mimey locked the door behind them and headed into town. "I still say those pink tulips would work best for the wedding." Delilah said as they walked. "But I do sort of like those blue flowers."

"Mr. Mime…." Mimey said, shaking his head. I think this trip may take a while…

Ash and Serena quickly arrived at the professor's lab. As they approached the front door, Pikachu perked up on Ash's shoulder. Sniffing the air, Pikachu hopped down to the ground and ran around the side of the lab.

"Pikachu, where are you off to?" Ash called after him.

As Ash and Serena followed Pikachu, they heard an excited "Pika!" from around the corner. Around the back of the lab, they found Pikachu running round and round Professor Oak's feet. Noticing Ash and Serena, Pikachu happily said "Pika, chu!" before racing off across the lawn.

"Ash, Serena." Professor Oak said. "So many visits in so few days." He smiled. "You're making an old scientist feel like family."

"You're not old, professor." Ash said.

As Professor Oak smiled at the compliment, Serena looked around the back yard of the lab. "Yes, I think this would work. This would work very nicely." She mused aloud.

Professor Oak glanced at Ash. "What's she talking about?"

Serena looked at the professor. "I asked Ash, Delilah and my mom if we could have a summer wedding." She explained. "Delilah suggested having it here on the laboratory lawn."

"A summer wedding…" The professor said, a dreamy look coming over his face. After a moment, Professor Oak shook himself back to reality and looked at Ash and Serena. "I'm fine with allowing you to use the lawn," He said. "But if you want to use it, I will expect you to help with the set-up and the take-down of the wedding."

"That's ok." Serena said. She wandered around the lawn a little, looking around. "A nice arch of flowers here, the chairs laid out going back, fine ribbons hung around, bouquets of flowers…" Serena stopped her wanderings, staring at the empty lawn as her imagination added the details. "Such a beautiful setting…" she sighed.

"A nice picture, Serena, but are you forgetting the time?" Ash asked. "We need to get our few errands done so you have time to pack."

"Pack? Pack for what?" Professor Oak asked.

"My mom wants me back in Kalos to help with the preparations for the wedding. She got me at ticket for a flight that leaves late this afternoon." Serena answered. "And on that note, have you seen Tracey recently? We'd like his help on the invitations."

"Oh, well I'm sure you'll be back soon for the ceremony." Professor Oak said. He jerked a thumb back towards the lab. "And if you're looking for Tracey, you'll find him upstairs. Still tearing his room apart trying to find that camera of his."

"Thanks, professor." Serena said as she and Ash walked into the lab. "I'm sure I'll be back in Kanto soon. Looking forward to seeing you at the wedding."

"And you Serena." Professor Oak answered, raising a hand in a wave as Ash and Serena disappeared inside.

Running across the lawn of the lab, Pikachu followed his nose to where some of Ash's pokemon were. Soon he saw them: Delphox sitting on a rock while Greninja stood behind her, brushing her fur. Ash's Leavany could be seen leaning against a tree, weaving some leaves into shape, while Quillava dozed in a bright beam of sunlight.

Just a few more strokes, Delphox. Greninja said. Then your fur will be all nice and neat.

Thank you, Greninja. Delphox said, her eyes closed as she felt the brush straighten her fur.

Quillava smirked as he opened an eye to look at the two of them. Gee, sure wish I had a nice, strong pokemon to brush my fur all clean in the morning. He said teasingly.

What fur? Greninja asked. You're a short haired fire-type pokemon.

An indignant huff of flame shot from the top of Quillava's head. Closing his eyes, he shuffled around in his sunbeam.

There you guys are! Pikachu said as he bounded excitedly up to the four pokemon. I've got big news! Big, big news!

Greninja finished with Delphox's fur and sat beside her. What news? He asked.

Pikachu hopped eagerly on the spot. Serena asked Ash and the moms for a summer wedding, and they agreed. He said. Ash and Serena are to be married at the end of this summer.

Delphox's ears pricked up at the sound of that. A summer wedding. How nice. She said. She gently entwined her paw with Greninja's webbed hand. And it means they will be married soon….

Leavany looked over from her work with the leaves. But are they sure they can do it? She asked. I've been around humans a long time, and I know that a lot of work goes into something like a wedding.

That's where we come in. Pikachu said. We are Ash's pokemon, and we'll be affected by this marriage too. I think we should do all we can to help with it.

How? Came Quillava's voice from the curled ball of fur in the sunbeam.

Pikachu waved his paws at the four of them. Get word to the rest of Ash's pokemon. He said. Tell them that our trainer has a time frame planned for the wedding. Maybe we can get a meeting together so we can all plan how we can help with the wedding.

Sure. Leavany said. I'm happy to help my trainer.

As Leavany walked off to find some of the others, Quillava poked his head up. Watching Leavany go, he turned his head to see the other three looking at him. Oh, all right. Quillava said as he stood up and stretched. Guess I can take a nap in the sun another time.

Pikachu turned to Delphox as Quillava wandered off. And Delphox, Serena's mom wants her back in Kalos to help with the wedding plans. He said. Her flight leaves this afternoon, and I think she'll want you to come along too.

All right. Delphox said, letting go of Greninja's hand and standing up. Suppose I should go meet with her.

Great. She came to the lab with Ash. Pikachu said, turning and trotting off.

As Delphox started to follow Pikachu, Greninja stood up as well, keeping pace with her on the walk back to the lab.

Walking upstairs in the lab, Ash and Serena found Tracey's door propped open by a few boxes. Poking their heads around the door frame, they saw more boxes and piles of other items scattered about, and the only sign of Tracey was the back of him sticking out of his closet.

"No, not that one. Not that one either." Tracey muttered as he sorted boxes and stacks of supplies. Although he was still trying to find his camera, Tracey was multi-tasking as he sorted the mess that was his closet. "Put that there, then those can go on top. Now what about that box over there…?"

"Uh, Tracey?" Ash called into the room.

The back of Tracey jumped in surprise and there was an audible thumping sound from the closet as his head banged on something. "Ow!!" Tracey yelped.

Backing out of the closet, Tracey turned to the door, one hand rubbing the top of his head. "Oh, it's you guys. Nice to see you back so soon." He said.

"Nice to see again too." Serena said.

"And sorry about that." Ash added, nodding towards Tracey's bruised head.

Tracey waved his other hand. "It's ok." He said. "Maybe that will be another piece of incentive to help me keep my closet clean." Shaking his head to clear it, Tracey took a seat at his desk. "So, what can I do for you two?"

"We were hoping you could help us with something else for the wedding." Serena said. "We decided to have a summer wedding, at the end of this summer. We asked professor Oak to use the lawn for the ceremony…"

"A good choice." Tracey commented.

"… and we were hoping you could help us design our wedding invitations." Serena finished.

Tracey scratched at his head, thinking. "Hmmm…ah! I think I've got just the kind of thing you need." He said. "Follow me."

Heading downstairs, Tracey lead Ash and Serena to the lab's personal computer. Turning it on, Tracey explained while it booted up. "An old art contact of mine sent me the link to the download for a new program he found. It gives you the basic template for many things, then allows you to customize your own design to it. Everything from résumés to graphs, and there's even a template for invitations."

"That would be great!" Ash said. "So quick and easy to design."

"And since it's on the system, it can be sent digitally. Saves time waiting for the post to arrive." Tracey added.

With the computer up and running, Tracey loaded the program. Displaying the template for an invitation, Ash, Serena and Tracey went back and forth on the design for their wedding invites. When Pikachu came trotting back into the lab with Delphox and Greninja, they were putting the finishing touches on it.

"Add those flowers to each of the corners, and we're done." Serena said happily. Noticing Delphox standing nearby, Serena beckoned her over. "What do you think of the invitations to the wedding?" Serena asked.

Delphox read through the invitation, then nodded at Serena. "Phox, delphox." She said.

"Gre!" Greninja added with a smile.

"All you need to do is add any special requests you want to make on the invitation." Tracey said. "And you can do that easily enough from a home computer."

"Like asking for the wedding photographer?" Ash said.

Tracey looked up from the screen. "I'll find that camera." He said. "Just you wait and see."

Serena glanced at the clock in the next room. "Well Tracey, if you could send those invites to Ash and I at our homes, we should be on our way. Mom booked me on a flight back to Kalos to help with the wedding preparations and it leaves late this afternoon. And I still have to pack."

"Sure." Tracey said. A few clicks of the mouse and little typing later, he sat back from the computer. "Ok, you'll each find a copy of the invites in your e-mail at home. I'll leave it to you to send them off to your guests."

"Thank you Tracey." Serena said. Looking at Delphox, Serena added "And now we really should be going."

"Nin, ninja!" Greninja said. With a few quick leaps Greninja bounded into another room, returning a moment later with a poke ball, which he handed to Serena. "Greninja."

"Oh, Delphox's poke ball. Thank you Greninja." Serena said.

Pikachu hopped onto Ash's shoulder as he turned for the door. "Come on Serena. We'd better get you and Delphox packed and ready to meet your flight."

"Coming." Serena said. She spared a moment to nod at Tracey. "Thank you again, Tracey. You've been a big help in getting something important to the wedding done."

"Happy to help." Tracey said. "And if you need any changes made, or if there's anything else I can help with, you know I'm just a phone call away."

Serena smiled at him before sprinting off to the door with Ash, Pikachu, Greninja and Delphox. Packing her overnight bag wouldn't take too long, but she was eager to have everything ready to go when it came time to head for the airport.

Tracey watched them go, then saved the invitation template and shut down the computer. Standing up and stretching, he headed for the kitchen. "A quick snack, then I need to finish searching and straightening up my room." He said. Tracey stopped and looked up at the ceiling, towards were his room is. "Huh. I wonder if my camera is in one of my desk drawers, not in the closet after all." He thought aloud.

Serena and the others quickly arrived back at the Ketchum house. Greninja and Pikachu took Delphox into the kitchen for a drink and a small snack before she had to return to her poke ball for the trip, while Ash headed upstairs with Serena to help her pack.

"I'll call you every night to check on the plans for the wedding." Serena told Ash as she rolled up her sleeping bag. "And since Tracey sent the blank invitations to both of us, I can contact some of our friends too."

"Ok. How about I send the invitations to the boys, and you send them to the girls?" Ash asked as he handed Serena her things from the washroom.

"Sounds good." Serena said as she packed her things away. Motioning to Ash to hold her bag open, Serena fought to stuff her tightly rolled sleeping bag into it. "Wow." She said, pausing with the sleeping bag halfway in. "Just talking about this wedding makes me realize all that we have to do. And in such a short amount of time to make the summer wedding I asked for."

Ash just smiled, tugging the bag up the rest of the way over Serena's sleeping bag. "It's ok." He told her. "We'll make it all work." Tightening the strap on Serena's bag, Ash looked at her. "For you, I'll make it work."

A pink tinge appeared on Serena's face. Smiling, she leaned her body over her bag to lightly kiss Ash's lips. "I know you will." She said.

The two of them stayed that way, sitting on the floor with Serena's overnight bag between them, staring at each other. Neither knew how much time passed before the bang of the door and a voice startled them back to the present.

"Ash! Serena? Are you two here?"

It was Delilah, back from town. Mimey followed her inside as Delilah set her purse down in the hall. Pikachu, Greninja and Delphox poked their heads out from the next room as Ash and Serena came downstairs with Serena's overnight bag. "Hi mom." Ash called as he set the bag down. "Where did you go?"

"Into town to visit the flower shop." Delilah said, running a hand through her hair. "It took some searching, but I found these flowers for the wedding. I think they look nice."

Mimey walked up, two bouquets of flowers in his arms. One was a mix of red and white flowers, the other a mix of sky blue and white flowers. "Brown flowers wouldn't look good at all for a wedding," Delilah explained. "So I couldn't go with a flower theme that matched your eyes. But then I thought of that trainer hat you love to wear."

"Nice mom. I like it." Ash said.

"Yes. A good choice." Serena said.

Delilah smiled. "Glad you both approve. Mimey, please take those into the kitchen and put them in water." She said. "I'd like to show them to Grace later."

Mimey trotted past the other pokemon into the kitchen. Pikachu looked at Greninja and Delphox, then turned to look at Mimey. It took some searching…? He asked.

Mimey looked at the three pokemon. Save me from this woman. He said, exasperated.

Pikachu, Greninja and Delphox had to clamp a hand or paw over their mouths to stop from laughing out loud. As Mimey ambled over to the kitchen sink, Delilah's voice came from the hallway. "Serena, if we're going to make it for you flight back to Kalos, we should get going now."

"Ok." Came the dejected voice of Serena. "Delphox!" She called.

Delphox came in from the kitchen, Greninja and Pikachu trailing along behind her. Serena checked her bag. "Sleeping bag, toothbrush, toothpaste, extra clothes…" She looked up at Delphox. "Delphox." She said, adding the pokemon to her mental checklist.

A stifled laugh came from Greninja as Serena swung her bag onto her shoulders. "Ok, let's get to the airport." She said.

"Mimey, take care of the house. We should be back real soon." Delilah called.

"Mr. Mime." Came the reply.

As everyone filed out the door, Greninja smirked at Delphox. Considering the way Mimey talked about Delilah, I'm sort of wondering if maybe you're lucky to be heading for Kalos. He teased.

You forget. Delphox said dryly. I may be able to escape from Delilah here in Kanto, but I'm going to Grace in Kalos.

Greninja's smirk disappeared. Oh. Right. Yeah.

One car ride later, everyone was at the airport. Serena confirmed her place on the flight, then handed over her bag to the attendant. After her bag was scanned, the attendant asked Serena to put any pokemon she was taking with her into their poke balls for the trip.

"Ok Delphox, that means you." Serena said, taking out the poke ball.

Delphox glanced at Greninja beside her. "Del, phox delphox." She barked at Serena. Nudging Greninja by the shoulder, Delphox lead him away from the others.

"Give them a moment." Ash said to the attendant. "I think Delphox wants to say goodbye." The attendant nodded and waited with the rest of them.

A short ways from the others, Delphox stopped and turned to Greninja. Serena's right to be upset.  She said. I know we'll see each other again real soon for the wedding, but that doesn't mean I want to go.

Greninja smiled, gently taking her paw. Serena and Grace need your help to plan for the wedding. Plus, you may have to tell Pancham and Sylveon about it too. Grace may have been too busy to pass on the good news.

A small smile appeared on Delphox's face. True. Ryhorn and Fletchling may need to know too. Delphox gently squeezed Greninja's hand. Thank you Greninja. You always do know how to make me feel better when I'm down.

Greninja smiled wider. And once the wedding is done and our trainers are married, we'll spend so much time with each other that you'll get sick of me. He said.

Delphox laughed. Tugging Greninja's hand, Delphox pulled him in for a hug. After holding each other for a moment, Delphox stepped back. Putting a paw on Greninja's head, she tipped his head down, before leaning in to gently place a kiss on his forehead. I'll miss you. She said softly.

We'll see each other again soon. Greninja said.

Walking back to the others, Delphox let go of Greninja's hand and looked at Serena. "Delphox." She said.

"Ok, Delphox. Return." Serena said. And in a beam of red light, Delphox disappeared into her poke ball.

Serena handed the poke ball to the attendant, who scanned it into the plane's cargo log before handing it back to her. "It's best for all pokemon if they remain in their ball for the trip." The attendant said. "It prevents any trouble on the plane."

Serena nodded and went with the others to the flight gate. Stopping at the gate, Serena turned back to look at Ash, Pikachu, Greninja and Delilah in turn. "Thank you all for letting me stay." She said. "Even if this visit was not what I was expecting." She added, looking at the ring on her hand.

"Believe me, it had its surprises for the rest of us too." Delilah said.

"Pika." Pikachu said.

"Gre, greninja." Greninja added, nodding.

"But you did still enjoy this visit, short though it was, right?" Ash asked with a smile.

Serena laughed. "You even have to ask?" She said. Stepping forwards, Serena hugged Delilah, Pikachu and Greninja, before turning to Ash. "I'll call you when I'm back in Kalos." She said. "And every night until we meet again." A dreamy look crossed Serena's face. "And when we do we'll get married…!"

Ash's smile got wider. Stepping closer, he hugged Serena. "I can't wait." He said.

Serena hugged Ash back. The two of them stayed in each other's arms, blind to the world around them. Then Ash stepped back a pace and nodded to the gate behind Serena. "You should get going so you make your flight." He said.

Serena smiled. Stepping close again, she kissed Ash deeply. "I love you Ash." She said as she stepped back from him. "I can't wait until we're married."

"I love you too Serena." Ash said. "I'll see you soon."

Serena turned and walked through the gate to get to her plane. As she disappeared through another set of doors, Ash lead the others in a rush to the other side of the airport and the windows overlooking the runway. Listening to the announcements blare, Ash, Delilah, Pikachu and Greninja waited, then watched and waved as the plane for Kalos taxied down the runway before taking off into the sky.

When the plane was gone, Ash looked at the darkening sky before turning to his mom. "I know you've still got a lot to do for the wedding." He said. "And you know we'll help in any way we can."

"Pikachu!" Pikachu chimed in.

"Gre." Greninja said.

Delilah smiled at all of them. "Come on. Let's go home." She said. "We could all use a good night's sleep. We've got so much to do tomorrow."

A few days after Ash and Serena parted ways for their respective regions, we join Ash at home putting the final touches on his half of the wedding invites. Seated at the home computer, he typed in the final name.

"Add the notice, and done." Ash said. Clicking the mouse, he added the completed invitation to the list of other ones. "Now, let's make sure we have them all."

Picking up a notepad on the desk beside him, Ash ran through the list of names, making sure he had an invitation set up for each. Reaching the bottom of the list, he nodded.

"All right, that's everyone on my half. Time to send these away." Ash clicked the mouse and watched as his set of wedding invitations were launched off to their receivers.

Shutting down the computer, Ash stood up and stretched. "Oooh, too much typing in a short amount of time." He moaned. "Maybe I should have spaced these out over a few days."

Walking into the living room, Ash saw Pikachu curled up asleep at one end of the couch. Smiling, Ash settled himself at the other end. "A little rest never hurt." He said aloud, stifling a yawn.

Leaning back against the couch, Ash closed his eyes. But just as he was starting to doze off, a bang and a yell came from the front door.

"Ash, are you here?"

Ash shook himself up off the couch, Pikachu hopping awake beside him. Heading to the door, they both found Delilah and Mimey standing in the doorway.

"I'm here mom, what's all the yelling about?" Ash asked.

Delilah held up a bundle of mail and pulled an opened letter from it. "I just got back from the post office, where I found this waiting for us." She said.

"And this is…?" Ash said.

Delilah waved the open envelope in front of Ash's face. "Wake up Ash." She scolded. "This is the letter from the company that I ordered the wedding things from. The chairs, the awning, the tables and so on."

Setting down the other mail, Delilah pulled the letter out of the envelope. "Our order for the materials has been shipped, and is supposed to arrive later today. I need you to get over to the professor's lab and be there to help with things."

Ash did his best to stop another yawn as he looked at his mom. "But mom, are you sure it's going to be today?" He asked. "It could be tomorrow, or maybe the next day."

Delilah shook the letter in her hand. "It specifies that it is to arrive on this day, sometime in the afternoon." She said. "So again, I need you to go over to the professor's lab and check on things."

There goes my nap on the couch. Ash thought. Shaking his head to try and wake himself up, Ash headed for the kitchen. "All right, just let me get a quick drink before I go." He said.

Pikachu looked at Mimey as the rest of them followed Ash into the kitchen. So how has your day been going?

Mimey shrugged. Better than expected. Went to get the post, stopped along the way back to check the order with the local florist. Mimey glanced at Pikachu. A lot of work goes into planning a wedding, but I'm glad things seem to be going smoothly.

In the kitchen, Ash poured himself a glass of juice while Delilah sat down at the table to check the mail. "Bill, advertisement, bill, junk mail…" Delilah looked up at Ash. "That reminds me, did you send out the invitations today?"

Ash swallowed the last of his juice. "Yep. Finished and sent them just before you came home." Ash glanced towards the phone in the next room. "I get the feeling that there are going to be a lot of calls coming in from people wanting to know more about the wedding." He said with a smile.

Delilah smiled too. Then she rifled through the mail and handed Ash the letter from the wedding shop. "Take this with you over to the lab. It lists everything I rented for the wedding, so you can make sure everything arrived ok."

"All right mom." Ash said. "Pikachu!"

Pikachu looked up from the dish of water that Mimey had put down for him. Running over to Ash he hopped onto the table and from there to Ash's shoulder. See you later Mimey. He said from his perch.

Mimey waved as Ash and Pikachu headed for the door. "If the delivery hasn't shown by dinnertime, come home and tell me." Delilah called. "I'll phone them and see what happened."

"Ok mom." Ash called as he got his shoes and hat on. "See you later."

"Bye." Delilah called.

Out the door and walking up the path to the lab, Ash stretched his arms in the summer sun. "So much work goes into a wedding, especially one on this tight a schedule." He said to Pikachu. "But I agree with Serena. A summer wedding will be very nice."

"Pika!" Pikachu agreed.

While Ash was on his way to Professor Oak's lab, a friend of his was at work too. At the Pewter City gym, a faint wisp of steam trailed from an open window near the back. The room it came from was the kitchen, and the source of the steam was the soufflé that had just come from the oven.

Brock carefully carried the soufflé over to the counter, setting it down before pulling of his oven mitts and fanning the steam a little. "I followed the recipe." He said as he checked a printed sheet of paper on the table. "Now we wait and see how well it came out."

"Cro."

Brock turned at the croak from near the freezer. Sitting beside it, Crogunk pointed a flipper to the freezer and croaked again.

"Oh yeah, my new batch of old gateau." Brock said. "Thanks for reminding me."

Crogunk wandered out of the kitchen as Brock approached the freezer. Opening the door, he pulled out a pan of light-purpled colored gateau. Turning the dish this way and that, Brock inspected the gateau as he let the freezer door swing shut.

"Maybe those berries at the old chateau are raised in some special soil." Brock said as he sat the gateau down on the counter. "Seems I just can't re-create the exact batch I made back there."

Brock hung up his oven mitts and his apron and walked out of the kitchen. "Or maybe it's berries that have to be picked and then chilled, or heated, or something." He mused.

The oldest of Brock's brothers passed by him in the hall. "Where are you off to?" Brock asked.

"Outside to have some fun in the summer sun." His brother said, not slowing down. He turned back to Brock, walking backwards towards the door. "But before I go, I was on the computer a little while ago and an e-mail came in. Said it was addressed to you. "

As his brother walked down the hall and out of sight, Brock headed to the computer. "Wonder who could be e-mailing me." He wondered. Sitting down at the computer, Brock watched as it loaded his e-mail. "Let's see… Ah, here it is."

Brock opened the e-mail. "'You plus one are invited to the wedding of Ash Ketchum and Serena Yvonne…' Oh a wedding. How nice." Brock scratched at his head and glanced away from the computer. "I'll need to get my suit pressed and cleaned. Have to look my best for the…" Brock stopped mid-sentence. "Wait, the wedding of who and who!?" Brock whirled back to the computer. ""The wedding of Ash and Serena…. WHAT!?!?"

Brock's brother was just walking out the door when he heard Brock's yell from inside. "Huh. Wonder what's got him so excited?" he said.

Back in Pallet Town, Ash reached the professor's lab to find it strangely quiet. No sign of any people or pokemon out front, no shapes in the window or noise from around back. No sign of anyone.

"That's odd." Ash said. "I wonder where everyone could be?"

On his shoulder, Pikachu perked up, sniffing at the air. Turning is head a few times, Pikachu hopped down from Ash's shoulder. "Pika, pikachu." He said, pointing towards the far side of the lab.

"That way? Ok, lead the way buddy." Ash said.

Ash followed Pikachu across the lawn and around the corner of the lab. There was no one at the side either, but Pikachu kept going around towards the back.

As Ash followed, he heard strange noises. Grunts, moans, chirps and the sound of human voices. "What is going on?" Ash said.

Rounding the corner, Ash found his answer. A large truck had backed up near the back of the lab where the deliveries for Professor Oak's laboratory usually came. The truck was labeled with the design of the wedding place and Professor Oak was speaking with a man in a uniform. Around the two of them, several of Ash's pokemon helped to unload the items in the truck.

"Looks like I'm right on time." Ash called as he approached.

Everyone looked up, and there was a mix of grunts, chirps and squawks from Ash's pokemon. Professor Oak motioned Ash over towards him and the man from the truck.

"Ash, good to see you my boy." Professor Oak said. He nodded to the man next to him. "This fellow just arrived with the delivery your mom asked for. He needs a signature from a family member to verify the order."

"Ok, let's just check the order." Ash said, pulling the paper his mom had given him from his pocket. "Mom wants to make sure everything that she asked for arrived."

Ash walked over to the truck, looking at the things his pokemon had already hauled from it. "Do you have place to store all of this until the day of the ceremony?" He asked professor Oak.

The professor nodded. "There's a storage shed right around there that is mostly empty. Your pokemon were just starting to carry it off when you showed up. They've been a big help."

Ash looked around at his gathered pokemon. "All right then, let's get this done." He said. "Everyone in?"

The pokemon chorused their agreement and walked over to the truck, waiting for Ash to check everything.

Ash read off from the letter his mom had given him. "Ok, mom has ordered… One archway for the ceremony…"

Hawlucha hauled the packaged arch out of the truck. Taking a few steps, Hawlucha swung the package up over his head, carrying it flat on his way to the shed.

Show off. Noivern muttered.

"Four tables for the guests to sit at…"

Greninja and Ceptile pulled the tables out of the truck. Passing them down, they handed one to Noivern, one to Talonflame and Onpheasent, and the last two to Donphan.

Holding the tables above his head with his trunk, Donphan did his best to look at the others and keep an eye on the tables. Going to be a bit tricky to balance these! He called.

Snivvy trotted over and hopped lightly onto Donphan's back. Swing them back this way and hold one end. She instructed.

As Donphan did what she said, Snivvy reached out with her vine whip and steadied the table ends hanging over Donphan's back. Now off we go. She said.

As Noivern, Talonflame and Onpheasent flew off with their tables, Donphan followed them, with Snivvy calmly swaying on his moving back as she helped to balance the other end of the tables.

"One long table for the food and the cake…"

It took a few of Ash's pokemon to pull the long table from the truck. When it was out, they looked at each other and Ash. No one was sure how to carry something so long and unbending, but then Kingler walked up.

Move aside, move aside. He said. There are times when having a squat, low to the ground body has its advantages.

Grabbing the table with his claws, Kingler hoisted it over his head until it lay flat, protruding ahead of him and behind him. As he turned around towards the shed, several pokemon ducked to avoid an end of the table.

Kingler stopped. Hmmm. Someone come with me and make sure I don't smack this into anything or anyone.

Ceptile stepped away from the truck to stand at Kingler's side. Off to the shed, Kingler. He said. Just watch those corners.

As Kingler trundled off with Ceptile beside him, Ash glanced at the list. "All that should be left is an assortment of chairs." He said. "Everything else we are handling ourselves."

As Greninja started pulling out the chairs and passing them to various waiting pokemon, the driver approached Ash. "If that's all, then I just need your signature here." He said, holding up a clipboard.

Ash signed his name on the line. "Just give us a few minutes." He said as he handed it back. "It shouldn't take long to get these chairs out."

"No trouble at all." The driver said.

Ash went over to the truck and picked up two chairs. "Huh, lightweight but durable." He said. "Good choice mom."

Quillava and Palpatoad walked off, Palpatoad's long tongue balancing two chairs on Quillava's back. Definitely a good choice. Quillava said. Easy for the smaller of us to help with.

In the Kalos region, at the Lumios gym, two siblings were at work. Clemont was on his hands and knees on the floor, his head stuck inside a bank of machinery along one of the gym's walls, fiddling with cables and wires inside. "Tighten that, and that makes that one more stable…" He muttered.

Clemont eased himself backwards out of the machinery. "Bonnie, did you find that box of parts?" He called.

Bonnie trotted into the room with Dedenne perched on her head, a box in her arms. "Yes, here it is." She said, sitting the box down in front of Clemont.

"Thanks." Clemont said. Rifling through the box, Clemont pulled out a few parts. "Going to need that, and this too. Maybe that one there."

Bonnie looked away from Clemont when a ding! sounded from a nearby computer on the wall. "What was that?" She asked.

Clemont crawled back under that machinery, most of his upper body disappearing as he examined the systems at the far back. "That's just a notice saying I got a new e-mail." He said, his voice echoing slightly. "You can check it if you want, I'm not expecting anything important."

Bonnie walked over to the computer. Dedenne hopped off her head as Bonnie pushed a stool close enough to the computer to let her see the screen. "Ok Dedenne." She said as she perched on the stool. "Let's see what mail Clemont got."

"Denne." Dedenne squeaked in agreement.

Halfway inside the bank of machinery, Clemont inspected a crisscrossing set of wires. "I should sort those out." He said. Looking around at where the wires connected to, Clemont nudged his glasses further up is face as he brainstormed. "If I added a single cable there, and reconnected those two over here, that would balance the system. But I would need the right…."

"Eeeeeeeeeeee!!!"

WHANG!

Startled by Bonnie's sudden squeal, Clemont jumped and banged his head on the ceiling above him. "Ouch!!" He yelped.

Crawling back out of the machinery, Clemont turned around, one hand rubbing the lump on top of his head. "Bonnie! What was that for?"

Bonnie was leaping and dancing around, Dedenne jumping around her feet. "Yippee yay! I knew it! I knew it would happen!" She cheered.

Clemont looked at her. "Uh, Bonnie? What's going on, what are you so happy about?"

"See for yourself!" Bonnie said, pointing eagerly at the computer screen.

Clemont walked over to the screen as Bonnie continued to dance around. "I really can't see how one e-mail message could get someone so excited." He muttered.

Standing at the computer, Clemont read the e-mail. "'You plus one are invited to the wedding of Ash Ketchum and Serena Yvonne...'" Clemont's voice trailed off as he read the rest of the invitation. He turned away from the screen. "The wedding of Ash and Serena." Clemont clapped a hand to the side of his head. "Wow!"

Bonnie continued her happy dancing. "I knew this would happen one day! Ash and Serena are definitely keepers for each other!"

"Denne, de-ne-ne!" Dedenne chittered in agreement.

"Oh brother…." Clemont said, rolling his eyes.

In Pallet Town, Ash and his pokemon finished stacking the wedding furniture in the lab's shed. Ash checked with professor Oak before he left, making sure it was all right to keep everything in there.

"It quite all right." The professor said. "And besides, since you and Serena want to have the wedding here, it's easier to keep everything right here for when you need it."

"Thanks professor." Ash said. "And thank you for letting us use the lawn here at the lab for the ceremony. Serena seemed so excited at the idea."

"No trouble at all." Professor Oak said. He glanced at the lawn, then back towards the shed. "But remember, I expect you and the others to help with the set-up and take-down of all this."

"Of course." Ash replied.

Glancing at the sun in the sky, and a clock nearby on the wall, Ash called for Pikachu. "We should be getting home for dinner." He said. "And we need to fill mom in about all the stuff she ordered."

"Pika." Pikachu nodded. Hopping up onto Ash's shoulder, Pikachu waved goodbye to the rest of the pokemon. "Pika, pikachu, chu!"

Ash looked at his pokemon. "Thank you for all your help." He said. "I hope we can count on you to help with the set-up and take-down too, when it's time."

Ash's pokemon chorused their agreement. I'm looking forwards to when those flowers come. Leavany said, rubbing her long front limbs together. I love making floral arrangements.

Quillava sniffed. I just hope there's something for all of us to do. He said. He looked down at his short legs and stubby paws. I'm not much use when it comes to carrying something.

Have you considered helping with the food? Palpatoad asked. I'm sure you'd make a great mobile hot-plate.

There were a few stifled giggles from some of the other pokemon, but Quillava looked thoughtful. Now that's a thought…. He mused idly.

Ash looked at Professor Oak. "Please make sure they get a good meal tonight. As thanks for all their help."

The professor nodded. "Of course." He said. He nodded towards Pallet Town. "And you'd better get home in time for your dinner, before your mom starts to worry."

Ash headed back towards town. As he walked, he turned back to face the lab, waving. "See you soon, professor!" He called. "And thank all of you for your help today!"

"Pikachu!" Pikachu called as he waved from Ash's shoulder.

The professor and Ash's pokemon waved back until Ash was out of sight, heading down the hill to Pallet town and home.

Ash arrived at home to the smells of freshly cooked food floating out the window. Ash inhaled as he stepped up onto the porch. "Ahh, I love the smell of mom's home cooking." He said.

"Pi-ka." Pikachu said, his nose twitching as he sniffed.

Walking inside, Ash let Pikachu hop to the floor as he closed the door. Taking off his shoes and coat, Ash heard his mom's voice from nearby.

"Well yes, I'm sure it came as a surprise to you. It was a great surprise to Grace and me too. Just imagine how we felt when we heard Ash and Serena announce…"

Ash and Pikachu walked around the corner to see Delilah on the video phone. "Oh, Ash, good timing." She said. With a distracted look towards the kitchen, Delilah gestured towards the screen. "I have someone here who wants to talk to you." Delilah looked at the screen. "Excuse me, but I need to finish dinner." She said and headed into the kitchen.

Taking a seat at the phone with Pikachu beside him, Ash found himself facing Clemont on the other end. "Clemont, good to see you." Ash said. A smirk appeared on his face as he added "I'm guessing you got my e-mail…?"

"Oh, I got it." Clemont said. He shook his head. "You and Serena are getting married!? When did that come up?"

Ash laughed. "It's a long story." He said. "One I don't feel like telling many times over. I'll tell everyone when we get together before the wedding."

Clemont shrugged. "Ok." He looked hard at Ash. "But what's this note at the bottom of the invitation you sent me? You want ME to be one of your best men for the wedding?"

Ash raised his eyebrows at the screen. "What, is there some kind of problem with that?" He asked.

Clemont's composure cracked and he slumped in front of the screen. "One of the key roles in a wedding, and a figure seen by everyone at the wedding…" Clemont's face took on a familiar red tinge. "Gosh…"

Ash's reply was cut off as a small blonde-haired head with a Dedenne perched on it appeared on the screen. Then Bonnie became more fully visible as she hopped up on a stool beside Clemont. "Hi Ash! Congratulations on the wedding. Serena is definitely a keeper!"

Ash and Pikachu chuckled at Bonnie's words. "Thank you Bonnie." Ash said. "Are you ok with the role Serena and I want you to play in the wedding?"

Bonnie's eyes shone as she clasped her hands in front of her. "Yes I am Ash!" She said. Bonnie wriggled on her stool. "A flower girl at a real wedding! Oh, I've heard about them and now I get to be one!"

Ash laughed. "You should be hearing from Serena and her mom soon." He told her. "They want to get everyone's measurements for the outfits the girls are going to wear."

"Yay! I can't wait to see my pretty dress!" Bonnie squealed.

Delilah poked her head around the door frame. "Dinner's ready Ash." She said. "Come and eat while it's hot."

"Ok mom." Ash answered. To Bonnie and Clemont, Ash said "Sorry, dinners on the table. Which means I've got to go."

"Ok Ash. Make sure to get in touch with me when you decide on what you want the best men to wear." Clemont said.

"And the next time we talk, I hope I can show off my dress!" Bonnie said.

"Ok you two. Take care of each other." Ash said. "Talk to you soon."

"Pika!" Pikachu called.

"Denne denne!" Dedenne answered.

Ash hung up the phone and headed into the kitchen with Pikachu, to where their dinner waited for them

Over dinner, Ash, Delilah and Pikachu talked about the delivery for the wedding. Ash had checked off everything on the list his mom had given him, and she inspected it as Ash took the plates over to the sink to rinse them off.

"Well I'm glad to see everything arrived on schedule." Delilah said. "And I hope you agree with the choices for the wedding set-up?"

Ash nodded as he rinsed off the plates. "You and Grace made good choices." He said. "And my pokemon agreed too. They were so helpful getting everything unloaded off the truck."

As Delilah nodded, the phone rang in the next room. "I'll get it!" Ash called, hurriedly drying his hands on a dishtowel.

Sitting down at the phone, Ash answered. "Hello?"

"Hi Ash!" Said Serena as she appeared on the screen. "Good to see you."

"And you Serena." Ash said. He smiled. "Another nightly phone call, just like you said."

"Of course." Serena smiled. "I told you I would call you every night to see how things are, and that's what I am going to do." Serena leaned a little closer to the screen. "So, is everything all right over there?"

Ash nodded. "Everything is going just fine here." He said. "Did you get your half of the invitation finished and sent?"

Serena nodded. "Yep. Did it earlier this evening. People should get them when they check their mail in the next few days."

"Good to hear." Ash said. "I sent my half out earlier today." Ash stifled a laugh as he remembered his attempt at a nap on the couch with Pikachu. "And after that I got sent off to help with some other preparations…."

done, Serena checked her e-mail to see if anyone had replied back to her invites.

"That's strange. No word from anyone about the wedding yet." Serena said. Shutting down the computer, she went into the kitchen for breakfast.

Grace looked up from the morning paper. "Morning Serena. Anyone ask about the wedding?"

Serena shook her head as she sat down at the table and poured herself a glass of juice. "Nothing yet mom." She said. Taking a sip, Serena looked thoughtful. "Which is strange. I thought there would be lots of answers already."

Grace turned a page in the paper. "Maybe not everyone checks their e-mails as much as you think." She said.

"Phox, delphox."

Serena and Grace looked over at Delphox, who was eating her own breakfast with Pancham and Sylveon. "Del, delphox." Delphox barked at them.

Serena looked at her mom. "Well, guess we'll have to wait."

Delphox sniffed as she went back to her food. They shouldn't be complaining. She said to Pancham and Sylveon. Things are going so smoothly right now and I hope it stays that way.

Pancham stifled a chuckle. We're a performer's pokemon. He said. I think we can handle some hectic behavior. We should be used to it, after all.

Delphox rolled her eyes. Sylveon didn't say anything, just continued with her breakfast.

Folding up her newspaper, Grace picked up a sheet of paper from the counter. "While you're waiting for answers to your invitations, I have an errand for you to run." She said to Serena. "I need you to visit that pokemon clothing shop on the outskirts of Lumios City. If Ash's pokemon want to look fancy for the wedding, we need to find some things for them."

Serena swallowed a bite of breakfast. "Ok. I'll finish my breakfast and clean up Rhyhorn's home, then I'll head for Lumios City." Serena looked at her pokemon. "Would you three like to come along?"

Her pokemon chorused their agreement immediately. "Like I had to ask." Serena laughed. "They like to look at clothes for performances just as much as I do."

"Just remember Serena." Grace said. "You're supposed to be going there to help out Ash's pokemon. Not to look for things for yourself and your pokemon."

"Right mom." Serena said.

At the Cerulean city gym, we find Misty getting some exercise. Dressed in a form-fitting swimsuit, she swam laps back and forth across the gym's pool. With the summer sun shining through the windows, Misty could close her eyes and almost feel like she was relaxing at the beach.

Finishing her last lap, Misty climbed out of the pool and stretched. "Ah, that feels nice." She said. Wringing some water out of her hair, Misty headed to get changed.

Once back in her day-to-day clothes, Misty left the pool for other parts of the gym. "Let's see, what needs to be done today?" She mused aloud. "I'll have to see if there are any trainers who are looking for a battle. I should let Gyarados out in the pool and do some training with it." Misty turned a corner, ticking things off on her fingers. "Later this evening I should drain the pool. It's due for a cleaning, so I'll have to convince Daisy and the others to help…"

Misty's thoughts trailed off as she walked past the room with her computer in it. "Oh, that reminds me." She said. "I should check and see if those supplies for the gym have been shipped yet."

Misty sat down at her computer and turned it on. Once it was ready, she accessed her e-mail. "Let's see…there it is." She said. Reading the shipping notice, Misty frowned. "'Please allow one to two weeks for delivery.'" She read. Misty shook her head in frustration. "Why is it that they can never be delivered quickly?" She moaned.

As she was about to shut down her computer, Misty noticed she had another e-mail. "What's this? Oh it's from Serena, that girl Ash met in Kalos." Misty smiled as she remembered Serena's first visit to Kanto. Ash had brought her to Cerulean city to introduce her to Misty, and Serena had been so surprised to learn that Ash was friends with a gym leader.

"I wonder what Serena could be e-mailing me about." Misty said. She clicked on the e-mail. "Let's see….."

At the front of the gym, Misty's older sister Daisy was working on the gym's computer. "That festival is only one town over, so we shouldn't have to close for too long." She muttered, looking at a flyer in her hand. "We should be gone two days, maybe three to give us some time to relax."

Daisy tapped a finger to her chin in thought. "If we close for three days, that still leaves time this summer for challengers to come by. And the weather should be nice, so we won't need…"

"WWWWWHAT!?!?!"

Daisy nearly fell of her chair in shock at the loud yell that echoed from one of the gym's other rooms. Straightening herself up, Daisy looked towards the back hall. "What the?" She said.

Misty's two other sisters poked their heads around a different door. "Did you hear that?" One of them asked Daisy.

"Kind of hard not to." Daisy answered.

"Well, what was it?" Asked the other sister.

Daisy stood up from the computer. "I think that was our lovely little sister Misty." She said. She headed for the door, motioning the other two to follow her. "Come on. We'd better go see what's got her so steamed this time."

In Kalos, Serena finished her breakfast and her morning chores just in time to catch the next bus for Lumios city. Getting off the bus at the outskirts, Serena headed for the pokemon clothing store.

As she walked, Serena fished the drawings Smeargle had done out of her bag. Flipping through them, she thought about the designs she had bought or helped to make for her own pokemon for showcases.

"I might have to make a few tweaks here and there." Serena said, looking at the sketch of Bayleef's outfit. "But I think we can find something for everyone."

Finding the store, Serena let Delphox, Pancham and Sylveon out before she walked in. "Remember what mom said." She told them. "We're here to help Ash's pokemon, not look for you three."

Her pokemon nodded and followed Serena into the store. Inside, it was full of row after row of clothing for pokemon of all shapes and sizes. A wide variety of designs were also offered, and basic materials for customizing.

Serena wandered down an aisle just inside the door, stopping when something caught her eye. "Ooh, this would work for Hawlucha." She said, feeling the texture of a forest-green cloak. "Like what it wore for the Kalos league."

"Syl, sylveon!"

Looking up, Serena saw Sylveon use two of her ribbons to take something off a shelf. Holding it towards Serena, Sylveon used another ribbon to point at the label. "Ve, sylveon syl!" She said eagerly.

Taking the item from Sylveon, Serena looked at it. It was a neat black jacket designed for quadruped pokemon, but Sylveon tapped again on the label. "'Made with fire-proof materials.'" Serena read. A smile crossed her face. "Oh good find Sylveon. This will work great for Quilava." She said.

"Sylveon." Sylveon said, nodding.

Fire-proof, huh? Pancham said. He looked at Delphox. You know, maybe you should look into some designs like that.

Delphox frowned at Pancham. And what is that supposed to mean? She said indignantly.  I have full control of my fire-type abilities thanks to this. Delphox pawed at her branch.

Accidents can happen. That's all I'm saying. Pancham said with a smirk as he walked off to look at the other displays.

Accidents, he says. Delphox growled under her breath. He's still thinks all those mess-ups back in our early days of performing were my fault.

As Serena and her pokemon continued to look around, a saleswoman from the store approached them. "Can I help you find anything?' She asked.

Serena help up the sketches. "Maybe you could." She said. "I'm going to be attending a wedding rather soon and I have some pokemon that would like to look their best for the occasion. They gave me these as a rough guide to what they were hoping for."

The saleswoman looked over the sketches Smeargle had done. "Well, we may not be able to match all of these exactly, but we can try." She said.

"That's ok." Serena said. "I'm used to making adjustments for my own pokemon. I just need the supplies to get started."

"That we can help you with." The saleswoman said. "If you'll follow me, we'll see what we can find to meet these pokemon's requests."

Serena, Delphox, Pancham and Sylveon followed the saleswoman around the store, picking up what they could find for Ash's pokemon. Serena knew she should be nervous about the upcoming wedding, but all she felt was excited about all that was happening around her.

In the Hoenn region, another family was making plans for the summer. Norman and Caroline had decided that the gym could stand to be closed for a time while they went on a long-overdue vacation with their kids, and now May and Max were helping to decide where they should go.

Seated at the kitchen table, Caroline looked at a brochure in her hands. "This does sound like a lovely resort." She said. "Well kept facilities, activities for all ages and it's at the beach."

"But who says you always have to go to the beach on vacation?" Norman said. He tapped a different brochure on the table. "I still like this mountain lodge. Crisp air, cozy rooms and all kinds of mountain pokemon in the area."

May lounged against the counter, idly eating a cracker. "By the time we decide where we're going for vacation there won't be any time left to take a vacation." She said between bites.

Both parents looked at her. "We will come to a decision May." Caroline said. "We just want to weigh our options first."

"And once Max finds that information I asked him to look up, we'll come to a decision faster." Norman added. He turned as Max entered the room. "And there he is now. Max, were you able to find the maps for the area around the lodge?"

"Oh, I found them." Max said. "But I think it would be a good idea for us to spend our vacation in the Kanto region."

All three of the others looked at him. "Kanto? Why do you think we should go there?" Caroline asked.

Max pointed back into the other room. "After I looked up those maps for you dad, I checked the e-mail. We got a message from Ash's friend Serena."

May helped herself to another cracker. "So because you heard from Serena you think we should go to Kanto?" She asked.

A smirking Max shook his head. "No. Serena wants us to come to Kanto. She and Ash are getting married."

A startled cough burst from May, spraying cracker crumbs across the counter. After a fit of coughing as her snack came back on her, May crossed the room in three strides and grabbed Max by the front of his shirt. "What did you say?!" She demanded.

Surprised at his sister's reaction, Max pointed into the next room at the computer. "The e-mail from Serena was an invitation to the wedding. It's still up on the computer if you….hey!"

Max yelled in complaint as May roughly shoved him aside and rushed into the next room. Norman, Caroline and Max looked at each other, then followed her.

They found May standing in front of the computer, which Max had left open to the invitation from Serena. Caroline stepped in beside May to read the e-mail. "'You plus one are invited to attend the wedding of Ash Ketchum and Serena Yvonne….'". Caroline looked at Norman. "Oh, how sweet. They would like May as a bridesmaid and Max to be the ring bearer."

Norman looked thoughtful. "Well, we wanted to get away for a while, and I hear Kanto is lovely in the summer." He shrugged. "I guess we can call it a vacation."

Caroline nodded. "Besides, the kids each have a role in the wedding." Caroline smiled dreamily, remembering her own wedding. "I can't wait to see you in a dress, May. Standing beside the bride on her special day."

When May didn't answer, Caroline turned to look at her. "May?" May stood there, a blank expression on her face, staring at the invitation on the screen. "May? You ok?" Caroline asked. She waved a hand in front of May's face, but got no reaction.

"I think she's in shock or something." Norman said.

Max turned and walked back into the kitchen. "Well then, I'm sure she won't mind me helping myself to some of those crackers." He said.

May shook her head and whirled around, racing after Max into the kitchen. "Oh no you don't!" She yelled. "Those are mine!"

Caroline looked at Norman. "I think she's ok."

"Thank you for all your help." Serena said to the saleswoman as she walked to the door with her pokemon. "I'm sure everyone will be very grateful to have something to wear for the wedding."

"You're welcome." The saleswoman replied. "Everything will be shipped to the address in Pallet town that you gave us." She gestured towards the few bags Serena carried out with her. "And I'm sure the pokemon will appreciate the customizing you're doing too."

Serena looked at her bags. "I hope so." She said. "I've got a lot of work to do."

"Come again soon!" The saleswoman called as Serena walked out the door with Delphox, Pancham and Sylveon.

Walking back towards the bus-stop with her pokemon, Serena thought about what she had to do. "We found something for most of Ash's pokemon, but there are still some to do." She mused aloud. She looked at the one bag she carried. "There was no outfit that would fit comfortably around Leavanny's leaves and insect body, so I have to adjust those."

"Pan, pancham pan." Pancham said. When Serena looked at him, he hopped in front of her and crunched his body down, sticking out his tongue. "Pan." He croaked.

Delphox, Sylveon and Serena stifled their giggles. "Yes, and that one for Palpitoad needs some fitting too." Serena said. "It has to be adjusted to fit with his…."

"Serena!!"

Serena started, swaying on the spot as she tried to keep anything from flying out of the bags in her hands. When the bags were steady she turned around to see Bonnie running towards her, Clemont puffing along behind.

"Bonnie! Nice to see you." Serena said, gently sitting down the bags and crouching to be at eye level with her.

"We got the invitation from Ash! Yippee-yay, you two are getting married!" Bonnie said, running into Serena's arms in an excited hug.

"Dedenne, de-ne-ne!" Dedenne chittered, leaping from Bonnie's bag to run excitedly around Delphox and the other pokemon.

Serena returned Bonnie's hug as Clemont reached them. "Nice to see you Serena." He said as he gasped.

"You're so slow Clemont." Bonnie said with a huff, letting go of Serena.

Serena rolled her eyes as she stood up. "What brings you two out to the far end of Lumios city?" She asked.

"Lumios is thinking about expanding the network of Clemontic Showers." Clemont explained. "We came out here to look around the area."

"And that's when we saw you. What are you doing here?" Bonnie asked.

Serena gently nudged the bags near her. "Ash's pokemon want to look formal at the wedding. But they don't have any ideas for clothes. I was at the pokemon shop looking for some things for them."

Dedenne nosed around the bags on the ground. Hmmm. Wonder if there's anything in here for me? He said.

Delphox stepped forwards and neatly scooped Dedenne off the ground. Not so fast. She said, holding Dedenne in her paw. You'll find out if you got anything when you come to Kanto for the wedding.

Hmmmfff. Dedenne huffed, folding his tiny paws.

"So, if you two got Ash's invitation, then you know the roles Ash and I would like you to play in the wedding?" Serena asked.

A red tinge appeared on Clemont's face. "Yes. He asked me to be one of his best men." Clemont fingered nervously at his collar. "Oh, I get nervous just thinking about it!"

Bonnie raised an eyebrow. "Don't be nervous Clemont. I'm sure you'll be fine." She rubbed her hands eagerly. "And I get to be the flower girl! Yay!"

Serena laughed. "Yes, we thought you might like that. When everyone comes to Kanto, all the girls will go shopping to find our dresses."

Bonnie danced around on the spot. "Yay, yay! I can't wait!"

Serena picked up her bags. "Speaking of waiting, it's nice to see you both but I have to run." She gestured further off down the street. "I have to catch the bus to get back home and get started on these clothes."

"Ok Serena." Clemont said, gently tugging Bonnie back beside him. "We'll see you again."

Serena nodded. "Real soon." She said with a smile. "Ash's mom and mine want to do a wedding rehearsal before the actual event. So we'll need everyone who's involved in the ceremony to come to Kanto."

Bonnie nodded. "Clemont and I will be there. See you!"

Can't wait to see my formal look! Dedenne added over his shoulder as he climbed back to Bonnie's bag.

Make sure Bonnie is there for the rehearsal. Sylveon said. You can get your outfit then.

Serena walked backwards, waving as best she could with the bags in her hands. "See you two in Kanto! Real soon!" She called.

"We'll be there!" Clemont and Bonnie called.

In Sinnoh, Dawn was relaxing at home. Seated on the couch, she idly flipped through channels on the TV. Piplup sat beside her, watching different programs flip by.

"Motor-sports, no. Cooking show, no. Movie, seen it before." Dawn said. She clicked off the TV and stretched her arms. "I need something to do this summer. Something to keep me busy."

Piplup looked at his trainer. "Pip, piplup pup." He said.

When Dawn looked at him, Piplup hopped to the floor. "Pip, piplup." He said, jumping around and taking different poses. He pointed a flipper towards the door. "Piplup."

Dawn put a hand over her eyes. "No Piplup, I don't want to do some training. There's more to life than training and contests you know." She said.

"Pip?" Piplup said. Wow. He thought. Either she's that bored, or she's been spending too much time focused on training if she'd rather do something else.

Dawn's mom walked into the living room with a basket of laundry. Noticing her daughter, she stopped. "What's wrong Dawn? Are you bored?" She asked.

Dawn shrugged. "I don't know mom." She said. "I've done so much training for contests, I think I'm all trained-out. I need something else to do."

Her mom glanced at the basket of laundry in her arms. "I have a few suggestions." She said.

Dawn slumped further down on the couch. "No mom, I don't want to do any work." She said grumpily. "I just want to relax with my pokemon and my friends, not having to worry about the pressures of contests and training." Dawn looked out the window at the bright, sunny summer's day. "I think I need a vacation."

Her mom shrugged and walked off with the laundry. "Well, I'm sure you'll come up with something." She said.

In the next room, Mrs. Berlitz set the basket down. "Maybe a change of scenery would do Dawn some good." She said. She glanced at the computer, then walked over and sat down. "Let's see if any of my old friends from my contest days are available. Maybe Dawn and I could take a trip to see one of them."

When she opened the e-mail to contact one of her friends, Mrs. Berlitz noticed that there was an e-mail waiting. "What's this? Oh, it's from Serena, that girl Ash met when he went to Kalos." She clicked open the e-mail. "I wonder what she wants."

Piplup was perched on the living room table, watching Dawn slumped half-asleep on the couch, when they both heard her mom's voice in the next room.

"Oh my!"

Dawn raised her head a little. "Something the matter mom?" She called.

"Dawn could you come here a moment?" Her mom answered.

Dawn heaved herself up off the couch and walked into the next room. She approached her mom at the computer. "I'm here. What is it?" She asked.

Mrs. Berlitz pointed at the e-mail open on the computer screen. "I think you should read this." She said.

Dawn leaned down to read the e-mail. "'You plus one are invited to attend the wedding of Ash Ketchum and Serena Yvonne…" Dawn shook herself and leaned closer to the screen. "Wait, what!?"

Dawn read through the e-mail three times in quick succession. She took a step back from the computer, clapping a hand to her forehead. "Ash and Serena getting married…. Wow!" She said.

Her mom used the mouse to point at something on the invitation. "And it says here that they would like you to be one of Serena's bridesmaids." She said. She looked at her daughter. "Well, you were talking about wanting to get away for a while. A trip to Kanto would be nice."

"I was talking about taking a vacation. Getting some time to relax." Dawn said. "Attending a wedding was not what I imagined would be the reason for me to go someplace."

"Still, it's a solid reason for a change of scenery." Her mom said.

Back in Kalos, Serena arrived at home. Sylveon opened the door for her and held it open.

"Thank you Sylveon." Serena said. "I'm home!" She called.

Grace leaned out from the kitchen. "Oh Serena, good timing." She said. "I was just starting to get dinner ready." Grace checked the oven, then walked over to help Serena with her bags. "Did you find everything? And no extras?" She added with a raised eyebrow.

Serena slumped. "Mom! Thanks for the confidence in me." She pouted. Serena held up her bags. "No, I didn't make any extra buys for me or my pokemon." She said. "The things Ash's pokemon requested have been arranged to be shipped to Kanto, and I got a few odds and ends here for the more oddly shaped ones."

Grace looked in the bags as Serena set them down and got her shoes off. "A bit of a mixed bunch." She said. "Think you can make it work?"

Serena nodded. "I still have Smeargle's sketches and I'm pretty good with a needle and thread." She said. "I can handle it." Serena looked towards couch. "Actually, if you don't need my help with dinner, I'd like to get started now."

Grace headed back towards the kitchen. "That's all right with me. I can manage dinner on my own." She turned back towards Serena. "I'll call you when it's ready."

"Ok mom." Serena said. She sat down on the floor with her back against the couch, her bags in front of her. "Ok, let's get started."

Serena looked at her pokemon. "Delphox, could you run upstairs and get my kit for me?"

"Delphox." Delphox answered. She was gone a moment later, off up the stairs to Serena's room.

"Pancham, I'd like you to help lay out what's in the bags." Serena said. "Just a neat pile of everything from each bag please."

"Pancham pan." Pancham said. Walking over to a bag, he started pulling out the different fabrics and accessories Serena had bought.

Sylveon came over and sat down beside Serena. "Veon?" She asked.

Serena smiled. "Of course you can help too Sylveon." She said.  "I'll need everyone's help to get these done."

"Syl, sylveon!" Sylveon said happily.

When Delphox came back with her kit, Serena and her pokemon got to work on the designs.

As the day dwindled away into evening, Serena and her pokemon took a break for dinner. After dinner, Grace asked to help too and soon all the work was finished.

"Phew! It was a little more difficult than I thought it would be, but we got it done." Serena said.

Delphox stretched her arms. Good thing everyone pitched in. She said. All these hands made it go quicker.

Ahem. Sylveon said. Raising her ribbons, Sylveon looked at Delphox. Hands? She asked.

Delphox shrugged. Hands, ribbons. She said. For you it's the same thing.

Pancham chuckled and held up his paws. Not really "hands" for you and me either. He said. We have paws.

Delphox rolled her eyes. Hands, paws, ribbons. She said in exasperation. Whatever works.

Grace helped Serena pack away her kit. "I'm sure Ash and his pokemon will be very grateful for all that you've done." She said.

Serena walked over to the vid-phone and sat down. "Speaking of Ash, it's about that time." She said. She punched in the speed-dial number and waited while the phone rang.

"Hello?" Said Ash as he appeared on the screen.

"Hi Ash! It's me." Serena said.

"As if it's been anyone else all these past nights?" Ash asked dryly. He smiled. "So, how are things on your end?"

Serena smiled widely. "Going great. I went into Lumios city today to find some clothes for your pokemon. And using Smeargle's sketches, I found something for everyone."

"Everyone?" Ash asked in surprise, knowing the odd shapes of some of his pokemon.

Serena shrugged. "Well, not quite everyone." She said. She darted off screen for a moment before reappearing. "The pre-made outfits I had shipped to your house in Kanto, but I also got some material and did a few custom ones myself." Serena held up a small suit with a wide collar. "Like this one for Palpitoad." She said, turning it around to show the tail-hole in the back.

Ash laughed. "That is great. Thank you so much for doing that Serena."

A faint blush tinged Serena's cheeks at Ash's praise. "I wanted to do it." She said. "Now I just have to have Palpitoad and the others try them on and make any adjustments I have to."

"You'll be here to do that soon." Ash said. "My mom's been talking non-stop about wanting to do a wedding rehearsal and for that she needs most if not all of the people involved in the ceremony. Especially the bride."

The bride, Serena thought. The pink tinge on her face deepened at those words. "I know, my mom told me." She said. "I bumped into Clemont and Bonnie while I was in Lumios today and told them about it."

"Glad to hear it." Ash said. He glanced away as someone off screen called his attention. "Sorry, I've got to go." He said. "But tell me, has anyone contacted you in response to the invitations yet?"

Serena shook her head. "No, no one yet." She said. "But all the invitations on my half were sent out. Just waiting on the answers."

"Good to know." Ash said. "We'll talk more when you call tomorrow night. And I look forward to having you back here in Kanto for the rehearsal."

"I'll be there." Serena promised.

Ash smiled widely. "Goodnight Serena." He said. "I love you."

"I love you too Ash. Goodnight." Serena said.

The screen clicked black and Serena turned away, a dreamy look on her red-tinted face. Seeing her mom and her pokemon looking at her, Serena hurriedly changed the subject.

"It is strange. No one from my half of the invitations has answered back yet." Serena frowned. "I wonder how all of Ash's female friends are reacting to the news that he and I are getting married?"

Before the official wedding of Ash and Serena, their mother's decided it would be best to have a wedding rehearsal to get things organized. That way, they could plan out everything beforehand and things would go more smoothly during the ceremony.

But it seemed the chaos of a wedding applies to the rehearsal as well. Ash walked into the kitchen to find no sign of his mother. "That's funny." He said. "Where could she be?"

Pikachu followed Ash into the kitchen. "Pi?" He said. Then his ears twitched and he looked out towards the hall. "Pikachu." He said to Ash, pointing.

Ash put a slice of bread in the toaster. "That way?' He asked Pikachu. Leaving his bread to toast, Ash walked to the hall.

"Look, it's not that difficult." Delia said on the phone. "I just need a few ropes or guides of some kind to outline where the tables and chairs will be during the rehearsal. That way people aren't going to be worried about tripping over them during the ceremony."

Delia listened to the voice on the other end for a moment and then sighed. "Fine, that will do." She said. "Thanks for doing this. I just want this and the ceremony to go without any trouble."

Delia hung up the phone and ran her hands through her hair. Turning, she spotted Ash standing in the kitchen doorway. "Oh, morning Ash. Sleep well?" She asked with forced cheerfulness.

Hearing his toast pop, Ash walked back into the kitchen. "Yeah, just fine." He said. Getting the jam out of the fridge, Ash spread some on his toast as he watched his mom slide into a chair at the kitchen table. "Are feeling all right mom?" He asked. "You seem a little stressed."

Delia waved a hand. "It's fine Ash." She said. "Just trying to make sure things go well for the rehearsal. If the rehearsal goes smoothly, so should the ceremony."

"But you seem to be running yourself a bit ragged." Ash said. He put down his toast and sat at the table. "You know, I can talk to Serena. I'm sure she won't mind moving back the wedding day. Giving you and Grace more time to plan things so you're not so stressed and tired."

"Oh no, no, there's no need for that!" Delia said, waving her hands. "Grace and I are managing just fine with the time we have. I just want things to go smoothly."

Ash nodded. "I know you do." He said. "But you don't have to do it alone. Serena said she wants to stay in Kanto until the wedding day, so she and I can help you with the wedding plans. You don't have to do this alone. It is our wedding, after all."

Delia smiled. "Thank you Ash." She said, standing up and walking around the table to hug her son. "I know you two will help all you can."

"We will." Ash said, hugging her back.

"Pika!"

Ash and Delia let go of each other and looked over to see Pikachu sitting at the table, tapping one foot irritably. "Pika, Pikachu!" He said, pointing at the empty plate sitting next to him.

"Whoops! Sorry buddy, you want your breakfast too don't you?" Ash said.

"I'll get it." Delia said.

As she walked over to the cupboard, Ash took out another slice of bread. "While you're doing that, can I make some toast for you?" He asked.

"Please." Delia answered.

Serena fidgeted and twitched in her seat as the plane took off from the Kalos airport. Staring out the window as the ground fell away, Serena just couldn't sit still.Serena, would you settle down already!?" Grace said from her seat beside Serena. "You've been acting antsy since we got up this morning."

"I'm sorry mom." Serena said. "I'm just nervous. Ash's old friends and traveling companions will be showing up soon, all full of questions. Then we have to go shopping for the wedding outfits, and the rehearsal later." Serena wiggled in her seat. "So much to do." She moaned.

Grace reached over and gave Serena a one-armed hug. "It's ok." She said. "Delia and I managed to get everything we need for the ceremony. And this is just a rehearsal."

"I know." Serena said. "Thanks mom. What you've done really means a lot to Ash and I."

Grace nodded. Then, noticing Serena's still twitching hands, frowned. "Good. Now sit on those hands, will you. They're starting to make me edgy."

Ash and Delia locked up the house shortly after breakfast. With Mimey along carrying some picnic supplies for lunch, they headed off towards the professor's lab.

"I hope everyone who's needed manages to make it.' Ash said as they walked. "We put a date for the wedding on the invitations we sent out, but it was kind of last minute to schedule this rehearsal."

"I'm sure everyone will manage just fine." Delia said. "And besides, the rehearsal isn't for a day or two yet. You and the others have plenty of time until then."

"Which means we can go find the wedding outfits?" Ash asked.

Delia nodded. "Yes, I said you could take your best men and the ring bearer out to get your tuxedos fitted before the rehearsal."

"And Serena and the bridesmaids will need to go look for dresses." Ash said. "But while we're doing that, are you sure you and Grace can handle the wedding set-up by yourselves?"
