14 The Great Ancient War

The lands under the heavens have finally been divided once more. To the north, humans have been keen on fighting amongst each other taking whatever piece of land they see to be claimed as their own, To the west, the land of Elendra, the peaceful elves, had been occupied in their grand inquisition against their 'Heretic' dark elves, to the east, the dwarves' spirits that had been dwindling throughout the years after the death of their guardian the 'Golem' had been once more lit after the ascendance of a charismatic dictator.

Dominating the waters of the land were the half fish tailed, mermaids, with their beauty and voice that could sway even the mightiest of champions if ever one were to be off guard. The Kingdom of Selendrilina, were renowned for their ruthlessness to the ones who ever tried to set foot to their waters, with their unique techniques with the polearms that seemed to ignore the burden that the water brings and the humongous scaled monster called the Leviathan that terrorizes anything that dares to harm the royalty, so in short, sea trade routes were impossible so is transportation and of course the chance of discovering new lands were not available.

These were the major powers at the time, but never would they have thought that something of such malevolence would soon come and bring these proud beings to their knees, they possessed magic that could sweep mountains, strength that could break huge boulders, beings that could dominate the air, and creatures that burns even the deepest of waters.

They were Demons, appearing at the ashes of the fallen and graves of the unfortunate, soon such being were everywhere, seeing the opportunity given, the evil hidden at the continent soon came out, cults brought false hope, criminals raped and stole, outlaws and bandits pillaged, new factions were given birth, surely the world was truly in chaos.

Seeing the impending doom, the major powers had no choice but to turn heads to the misdeeds of each other and decided to ally with each other, under the pretext of annihilating the demons, surely some of the ambitious thought this was a chance, but never would have they thought that the power of the kingdoms have hidden such might, the power the coalition brought were such menace that even the ruthless demons paled in comparison.

And finally after a few years of meticulously strategizing and gruelling capturing key points, the allied kingdoms had finally won.

But not to the expense of losing millions of life, lands being filled with ashes and despair, mountains flattened after the fierce fighting, soon the world was facing another crisis and if not handled carefully, it might just break.

Storms after storms, plagues consuming whatever left alive by the war soon came, this was truly the karma brought upon by the world after its suffering, the famished people hopefully clinged on whatever gods they thought of, hoping that these days would soon come to an end, only that death was the only answer that they were given, these event occurred after the great war and was called ' The World's Vengeance'.
