29 Chapter 29 : Concassée of Crabs

The evolution of the Robust Crab was having trouble climbing the mountain where Cole was, because the skeleton kept shooting at his other eye. This forced him to stop and protect himself with his huge pincer.

Noveshona tried to distract him "Aren't you supposed to be a sniper? Nah because right now all I see is a jerk trying to shoot a crab"

The candidate of the Agent of Chaos remained unperturbed 'This bastard seems to have a high Resistance. But I managed to cut his field of vision in half earlier. I should use it'

Cole fired a salvo of bullets at the giant crab to slow it down as much as possible. Then he took out a grenade from his military belt.

"You're going to get a fucking boom in your face"

The rider pulled the pin and threw the grenade with uncommon force and power into his blind spot. So in the field of vision that he couldn't secure.

The Lizardian really didn't trust what her "plan" was, but he had no choice 'Why do I always end up in this kind of shitty situation ?'

He ran even faster around the Robust-Crabs. The monsters advancing sideways, had to change direction every time to attack them with their long-range weapon.

But the Lizardian's trajectory forced them to cluster together in one spot.

At that moment, Green Eyes pulled an item from her inventory.

[ Incendiary Magic Powder ] : This powder has been combined with incendiary powder and with low magic crystal dust.

But its effect is no less destructive.

She moved down Maalick's body to his hips, closing her arms around him.

He came back to Jade and said "What do we do now ? Tell me !"

With her hand, she waved him to move.

The Half-Blood stepped to the side. From the hunter's hands, flames of considerable intensity shot out as if she was no longer in control.

They ignited the magical powder keg and within seconds, a wall of flame rose from the ground to enclose the Robust-Crabs.

"Now... they can't... get out"

Their flaming cage was at least 20 feet high, which effectively made it impossible to escape.

Maalick was shocked by her tactics "As she said, she created a plan that wouldn't kill them and wouldn't put us in danger. It's completely incredible..."

"It's mostly because of this that she can't kill all the monsters. What a disappointment..." intervened Ubrilt.

Maalick's amber eyes stared into the kaleidoscopic eyes of the Legendary Monster Hunter.

He took Jade in his arms and began to climb the tree with his claws "Would you rather see her make a needless slaughter ? Kill every monster indiscriminately ?"

Percy purred like a V8 engine as he heard the Asath's words.

"Don't make me say what I didn't say, candidate of the God of War. I too have a work ethic that I respect. But I know when to refrain from it when it is necessary. Her, she cannot do it"

He laid Jade on the very last branch of the tree, the one at the top.

"Rest well, Green Eyes. You well deserved it"

Then Maalick leaped from the tree and ran to help Cole.

As he was leaving, the huntress said "I have a... fucking... name..."

The SAS agent ran toward in the lush jungle toward the riverbank. Where Cole and the evolution of the Robust-Crab were fighting.

Once he reached his destination, the Lizardian couldn't believe his eyes "Tell me I'm dreaming..."

The skeleton was on the shell of the aquatic monster. He avoided each of its pincers that tried to grab him with his smoking purple eyes and counterattacked by shooting into his shell or towards his pincers.

All his interest continued to be focused on him now. According to the monster, he was the threat to be killed.

But the real threat to his life was the Half-Blood who drew his sword and slashed diagonally with all his brute force like a samurai his leg.

The monster screamed in pain and lost his balance. Cole took advantage of this, despite the lack of stability offered by his shell. He took a deep breath and took aim at the monster's remaining eye in a military position.

"It looks like they'll be eating crab tonight"

Then the rider shot the last eye with a bullet of tenfold strength and with a perfect angle.

Noveshona shouted like a hysterical metal band fan "Touché !!!" with the well-known sign of Cole.

The monster emitted a cry so desolate and asking for help, that the Robust-Crabs could feel it under their shells.

Maalick continued on his way, changing the shape of the Polymorphic Chain back to its base state.

In his rush, he wrapped it around his fist and broke the knuckle of his leg covered with its outer shell, like a merciless beast.

The evolution of the Robust-Crab lost more of his balance and tried to put all his weight on his other side.

Cole was still on his back, trying to regain his attention, when he saw the monster trying to flatten Maalick.

But he noticed something thanks to him "His knuckles on those legs are his weak point, the lizard !"

The Lizardian changed his chain into Hero's Gladius while avoiding the hazardous attacks coming from his enemy's sides 'So I don't need to destroy his legs to reduce his mobility. Just hit his knuckles hard enough'

With this information, the candidate of the God of Destruction ran as fast as his stats would allow. But before he could launch his final attack, the crab reached out its massive clawed arm.

"Cole get off his carapace !" the Agent of Chaos told him.

The rider tried to climb down, but he was caught in the water ball.

He shouted to Maalick "Don't worry about me ! Destroy his last leg !"

But the Lizardian could not hear him. To him, he saw only a skeleton making mouth movements with its two jaws.

So Noveshona stepped out of the bubble and shouted at hi "Destroy his leg, asshole !"

"But..."

"Do it before I smoke you out !"

The Lizardian prepared for his final offensive.

The former human got into position, just as he had seen in his mind.

Both of his legs were spread wide to free up his movements and the space he needed. His blade was resting on his right shoulder to allow him to cause several different movements. And his tail, stiffened horizontally to the right like an L.

Then he made his move, starting with a powerful diagonal attack that broke most of his external carapace. Then he raised his weapon and began to make quick movements like a snake biting his target.

Under these relentless blows, the rest of his armor fell apart. Seeing this, Maalick returned to his original form and launched his first attack with his Gladius of the Hero.

His last attack sliced through anything that connected the monster to his leg joint like butter. Nerve, bone or algae were cut off under his destructive and sharp offensive.

But the backlash of all these attacks was an equal amount of fatigue "I'm getting..."

Suddenly the evolution of the Shielded Crab fell under its own weight like an unknown mass reentering the atmosphere.

The former human did a roll just before the monster fell due to its own weight.

He climbed up the still living body of the crab to see if the skeleton was okay "Cole... are you okay ?"

His "ally" held out the bones of his arm with his other arm "Don't worry, I'll survive. Could you just make him a concassée of crabs for me ? Just to end the game with a win"

Maalick moved towards the front of his shell, just above his skull.

"Wait. What are you doing with what Jade told you ?" asked Mars.

"This crab... is dying by experiencing... unnecessary pain. I think Jade would... agree if I put an end to that suffering..."

The Polymorphic Chain returned to its original form and Maalick wrapped it around his hand.

Without a word, he began to continuously pound the creature's carapace with punches worthy of a manga character very famous in Japanese culture.

The monster may have had more resistance, but Maalick activated his Regenerating Plates every time he felt its bones break under the hardness of its skin.

The creature's main defense cracked as Maalick hit it again, again and again.

He was hitting it so relentlessly with his devastating punches that he forgot to activate his Regenerative Plates. The Lizardian was beginning to feel the blows to his shell shatter his brain, when he heard the slimy sounds of it.

He kept attacking as if he were used to this kind of task, until he heard the notification from the system, coming right out of an arcade game.
