Prologue - Real Life Game

"Are the Surveillance drones ready?" A cold feminine voice asked. The haste in her tone hinted that she was impatient.

"We have checked them several times today, madam. They're already on standby as we speak, " One of her workers, or rather a staff member answered swiftly.

"How about the signal strength of our network, Is it stable?" The woman asks as she stood up from her armchair and walked closer to the numerous numbers of screens in front of her.

"Fine like a charm, missy!" A playful staff shouts cheerfully.

"You're getting a pay cut this month. "

The other staff members held in their laughs as they glanced at their sulking colleague.

"Turn on the main drone cam, " She orders as a staff member nods and pushes a button.

The main screen lit up and showed a man sleeping on a bed. The woman smiles looking at his state, "It wouldn't be long before he wakes up from the coma. "

"Miss?"

"It is a question?"

"Yes... I'm curious that... where did Miss get an individual of a rare race?" The staff member asked with a quiet tone. Fearing that he might trigger some bad responses from his boss.

"That coma man from the 'Spectra' race? It's confidential, " She did not bother to answer seriously and kept her eyes on the main screen as the other ones lit up simultaneously which brightens the room they are in.

"Miss, the schedule for the live broadcast is within 2 more minutes. "

"Are the participants ready?"

"They're in their respective position, Miss. No one is breaking the rules discussed a month ago, " One of the members reassures.

"There are no rules. We only discussed the prize for the winner, " She scoffs before sighing.

"Anyhow, did the pesky journalist outside went away?" She continues.

"Yes, Miss. Other than that, we got a green light to start the live broadcast early. "

A long grin crossed her face before she took out a fan and said, "Let Terra's first-ever live broadcast real-life death game, RLDG, commence. "
