5 Conspiracies

3rd POV

"Take a closer look with the drone cam. Be sure to include both of their faces in the shot, " Miss commanded and wipe off the sweats from her forehead. Seeming to be fantasising about something.

"Roger that. Is this for instilling shipping in the fandom? A brilliant way to start the fire, Miss, " The staff member complimented his boss.

"Of course, it is. Except more from me as I can do wonders over others' expectations, " She said while fanning herself. While she holds her chin being immersed with the praises from her worker.

"As expected of Miss!"

"Roll in the ending song of the live broadcast..., " She stood on her toes, admiring the scene had unfolded in front of her through the main screen.

"Is Miss a fan of 'Boy Love' genre? It looks like she's paying too much attention to the screen. "

Miss fakes a cough before turning around, "That's enough of talking, half of you all would be monitoring the other participants' actions during the night. "

"If anything else happens, Miss? Do we take action?"

"We don't take action on stopping the participants, but immediately live broadcast if there's a fight between the participants, including the 'prize'. "

"How about-. "

"Enough, " Miss snaps. "I already advised all of you to read the manual before coming for the job, it is one of a kind. All of the questions are covered in the book. "

"Asking topics included in the texts would result in losing this job. You wouldn't want that, besides, no other place would offer the same wage as this company, " She continued before opening the doors.

"Those who are on break are advised to go back to their dorms. And, don't forget to inform me when an emergency live happen. "

"Is that the theme song from 'One roof, Two men', Miss?" One of her bodyguards asked.

Miss never thought that someone would know that show and felt slightly embarrassed. But she covered it up with sternness, "You're a man and you know the show? Seems like you confused your sexuality. "

The guard shuts up and Miss picks up the call.

"Boss, one of the staff members is escaping from the company. Kill her or bring her back alive?" A cheerful voice asked.

"I presume it's the woman that went to the toilet. Kill her, we have no use of former staff members. "

.......................................

"Great, it turns out my bad guess was right after all, " A woman turns the key on her motorcycle, starting up the vehicle before wearing a helmet.

"Going under disguise as a worker was a bad idea, but I have no other choice if I want to dig in more info about this show, " She kicks off the ground and drives her sports motorcycle towards the gates.

"And hell, it was a real death game show. The company called... 'Realistic', lied to the audiences that all of the content of it was just an act, " She mutters to herself.

Sweating bullets on her forehead as she remembers the armed guards that could have chased her if she messed up a step with her fake ID.

"It's all fine now, I just need to get through the gate. "

Until then, the gate starts to close.

She was perplexed by the scene and wasted no time to step on the gas. The engine of the motorcycle roars in power, "I ain't staying in here, not with a woman who killed a man with cool blood. "

An individual in full black body armour with a face mask stood beside the gate, clearly one of Miss's guards. The person is holding onto some kind of device.

"So, Vida, I heard you wanted to quit without telling Miss!" The guard, with a feminine voice, shouted with a joyful tone through a megaphone. As if she was a friend instead of a hostile.

But, Siva was not easily swayed and concentrated on the gate.

"It would be good if it stays that way..., " Vida mumbled and lowers her body forward onto the motorcycle. Her long red hair flopped out under helmet, fluttering.

"Not much of a talker hmm?" The guard hums and casually pulls out a folded bow. Taking an arrow from the quiver behind her waist before aiming.

Vida glanced at the guard aiming for her. She hardened her heart and kept driving forward. Trying to ignore the danger ahead.

"Good, I like silent people, especially when they're dead, " The guard let loose of the arrow as it soars through the air heading towards Vida.

Vida tilts the motorcycle to the right, trying to avoid the flying arrow. But, it managed to inflict a long wound on her left arm. The sleeves were torn open up until her shoulder as her wound started to bleed.

"I'll get back at you for this, " Vida growls under her tone.

The pain causes her left arm muscles to convulse. She endures it and narrows her eyes forward.

The guard smirks under her mask and loads in the next arrow quickly with the arrows in between her fingers. Shooting it continuously 3 times at Vida while her hand was already grabbing more arrows from the quiver.

Vida was able to dodge the first arrow with a shift. But, the second one hit her left shoulder causing her to grunt in pain and kept her head straight.

The third arrow was unavoidable because it was close. Heading straight for the kill at the middle of her forehead.

No pain, no gain. Vida understood this sentence like everyone else. But, the execution of it, depends on the commitment of that individual. To what extent he or she is willing to feel the pain. So, Vida took a quick deep breath and blocked her forehead with her left arm.

The arrow impaled on her wrist, with its sharp edge piercing through. She grits her teeth and shouts in pain with her mouth closed as the blood quickly stains her clothes.

"You're quite a tough woman! Are you willing to try out with my blade~?" The guard chimes and sheaths out a sword behind her back. Positioning herself away from the gap of the closing gates.

Vida felt fear of the risks ahead, but she does not express it. As the guard might take advantage of that. So, she has to maintain a pensive look.

The distance between them shortens.

The guard held her sword behind her head, targeting for Vida's head.

Vida took the advantage of the distance and time before drifting her motorcycle onto the speed bump. The moment the vehicle slid past the top of the bump, it gave Vida the momentum to lift the upper front of her motorcycle and slam it against the guard onto the wall.

The guard's sword slips off from her hand and Vida grabs it. Stabbing the whole length of the thick blade into the guard's neck. The red liquid spilling like a fountain.

Vida steps into the sturdy stabbed sword as an extra step to flip jump over the closed gates.

In the middle of the air, Vida was shot with a bolt at her stomach by another guard from the first floor of the security post. The strong force behind the big bolt propels her away further.

The location of the building was on a mountain. So, she fell from the ledge of the outside road. Rolling down on the mountainsides through a dense forest.

The small hard tree branches scrape against her skins. Giving her scratches on her whole body. Bathing her in the red mess of her blood. Her clothes shredded except for her undergarment.

Vida was slammed against the rock. Stopping her from rolling any further. Breaking a few of her bones as she gazes above with her eyes widened due to the sudden extreme pain.

The tree leaves blocking the bright sunlight of noon. The bits of the shine, lights over her pale body. As if she was already dead and cold like a corpse.

"The stolen... syringe..., " She mutters and forces her barely workable right hand to move.

Vida took a syringe out of her pocket. Her shaky right-hand grips onto it with little strength left as stabs onto herself. Applying pressure on the plunger and inserts the liquid content into her body.

After a few seconds, the syringe was emptied. Vida's right hand fell onto the ground unmoving. Her eyelids stayed wide open as her right cheek lay flat. Her blood dying the rock beneath her in a thick layer, dripping onto the dirt ground.
