Chapter 94: Penitentiary

Currently, Ash and the gang were inside an armored bus that was on the way to Mansfield penitentiary.

But the four were completely relaxed. Painting them as a target by the other inmates. "That bastard must be a rich guy that is with his whores. Let's beat him up later and take his bitches." One of them was cackling with glee.

Ifrit went wide eyed and she immediately glared at the group where she heard that. She growled and Ash shushed her.

"Let's kill them later okay? There would be some casualties here and there. Just wait patiently." Ash explained and Ifrit breathed in deeply.

"I want to immolate them later, I want to hear them crackle and burn like firewood." Ifrit huffed and he ruffled her hair.

"Ahhh, so Ifrit is already far gone." Silence could only shake her head. 'She must have been influenced by those three monsters.' A feline and twins entered her mind.

Ifrit was their playmate after all, being close to their age. Except Alastor and Astaroth who were more like big sisters.

"I guess it's acceptable, these filth are garbage that needs to be incinerated anyways, I approve." Saria gave her a thumbs up and Silence shook her head again.

"Is it cold there? There will be trash that would be kindling. It's going to be nice and warm." Ifrit giggled and she couldn't wait.

Silence started sweating. Paradiso's civilian population was nice and kind. But their higher ups were definitely a band of people that wouldn't blink an eye if they pop someone's head.

'Should I resign? No, no, I can't leave Ifrit to them all alone. It doesn't matter if they're hardcore...' Silence was having an internal battle.

They then disembarked from the bus, everyone was led into the penitentiary. "Whew, isn't this quite a pretty large place? Definitely a maximum security prison." Ash whistled.

There were different towers that he assumed to contain prisoners. They are separated from the main complex with bridges.

Overall, it must have cost tons of money to make it. Well, based on their Intel, majority of the inmates being sent there are young masters that have cash to burn. They go there so they can escape the heat due to their crimes.

"I guess we'll be separated from here for a bit girls, see you later in the cafeteria or something." Ash shrugged.

'As expected, they have loose rules here about the opposite sexes interacting. There must be a lot of sex workers being sent here to satisfy some rich kids.' Ash smirked. They were definitely going to mess with them.

'These punks will be some great stress balls. Beating up arrogant kids will be nice.' He cracked his knuckles and he started to release his bloodlust.

'Ohhh, that's bad, I got excited a bit. My rage still shows up from time to time.' He sighed as the others stepped back from him instinctively.

They entered the prison and Ash entered his cell without any fuss.

He was then surprised. 'My ghosts are no fun, they even meddled up to this point? We were supposed to find this guy like a treasure hunt... My girls will be disappointed.' Ash shook his head.

A large anthropomorphic white tiger was reading a book and he snapped it shut. "Anthony Simon, so? Who sent you?" (pic)

"Hmm, what a polite guy you are. But nobody sent me here. I sent myself here." Ash snapped his fingers and all the cameras that got a view on them changed what it was seeing.

He then turned back to his normal form and the tiger slowly looked up at him. Ash had more than a meter on him after all.

Anthony started to get nervous, he was confident in his fighting skills. But Ash was definitely an absolute unit. He looked like a juggernaut.

"Now, now, little kitty. Don't be alarmed, I won't hit you or something. Or you're into that shit?" Ash chuckled and he sat down on his small bed.

"Then what are you here for?" Anthony looked at him warily. 'Shit, I don't think I can fight this guy... Has my time finally come? Where did they find this assassin?'

"Hmm, I'm supposed to find a guy here and give them sweet release." Ash messed with him and the tiger tensed up. He started sweating due to anxiety.

"I don't know his name, was it Simone? A friend of Pumba or something. Ahhh, Simon." Ash smirked and Anthony looked like he bit a lemon.

'This guy must have been fighting for his life here. Simon co. is already bankrupt, so they must be trying to kill him.' Ash was impressed that he was still alive.

"I can't die here, I still have to do something." Anthony squared up and Ash sighed.

"Relax, I didn't actually expect to see you here in my first day. I wanted to break you out. Sweet release? Freedom?" Ash chortled.

Anthony then got confused. "Break me out? But why?" He squinted his eyes in suspicion.

"Well, I want to re-establish Simon co. Moving huge amounts of funds will be quite suspicious you know? Ever heard of money laundering?" Anthony frowned.

"Why would our company do that?" He didn't want to do crimes for somebody else.

"I don't know, maybe because you have no choice? You'll rot here in prison if you don't. Or you love it here?" Ash raised a brow and Anthony sat down.

He went into deep thought. 'This is my only chance... I have to strike back against Hydebro, those pricks.' He furrowed his brows.

"Then what's your company? And why us specifically?" Anthony thought that he could just do it normally.

"Well, Simon co. was a benefactor of Rhine labs. It wouldn't be suspicious if you bounced back and you turn into a sponsor for Rhine labs." Ash shrugged.

"I also want to crush someone, make them lose everything first. Isn't it exciting? Seeing somebody lose what they painstakingly built. Topple it over like a house of cards? Then they'll rage over it, but they can't do anything. They would fall to despair and you'll savor their delicious defeat." Ash cackled and Anthony was getting more nervous by the second.

'This guy is definitely insane... I don't want to do anything with him at all.' Anthony could feel that it was going to be a bad idea.

'But this is my only chance...' He gritted his teeth, it was like making a deal with the devil, but there's no other choices.

"Okay, so what's the plan?" Anthony reluctantly agreed and Ash nodded in satisfaction.

"Good, I would rather not slug you in the face so you won't be wriggling around while we take you out of here." Ash smiled and he winced.

"Well, technically. I can just bust us out of this place right this instant. With a snap of my fingers, I can blow a hole through the ceiling and just fly away." Ash shrugged and Anthony was skeptical.

"You don't believe me, but that's fine. I want you to work for your escape, I'll be your little caretaker. I want my companions to have an adventure after all." Anthony perked up with that.

"So you have others here with you? Then we will have higher chances." Anthony went into deep thought.

'I have been mapping out the penitentiary for years... Maybe he could give us some time so we could go to the control room and collapse one of the towers, then escape?' Anthony was making a detailed plan in his head.

Ash chuckled. 'This guy doesn't know I can blow this place up like the world center.'

"Okay, let's shake on it. Simon co. will help in sponsoring Rhine labs after I get out of here." Anthony reached out with his hand and they shaked on it.

"It seems you're a smart and good boy." Ash ruffled his hair and Anthony scowled.

"I'm not that young! Don't treat me like a kid, I'm 26." Anthony glared at him.

"Well, I'm 17. So you're quite a bit older than me." Ash shrugged and he bugged out.

"Y-you're still underaged?" Anthony gaped and he couldn't believe it.

"What? Because I'm young, doesn't mean I'm not old." Ash nodded sagely and he could feel a certain wannabe hero agree with his words of wisdom.

"Just... Just, hah. We'll meet up later with your friends." Anthony just went back to reading. They need to talk with the others in order for them to have a concrete plan.

And after a few hours, it was time to go out of the cells. Ash led Anthony to their supposed meeting spot.

"Hoh? Some idiots are already trying to push their luck." Ash snorted and he saw a group of men hassle Saria and the others.

"Hey you, you're the new girls here right? You look good, how about you go back to my cell?" Mob number 1 smirked at the trio.

Saria just blinked, she didn't expect that thugs like these really did exist. They only saw it in Nian's movies and Xianxia manga.

"Oi! Why aren't you responding? The boss wants you to serve him, you should be thankful." Bootlicker 1 tried to intimidate them.

"Yeah, yeah! Boss is gracing you with his presence you bitches, come on. Let's get going!" Bootlicker 2 chimed in and mob 1 was pleased.

"Uhhh, shouldn't we intervene? They're your companions right?" Anthony looked at them with worry. He couldn't help but think of them as women.

After all, even though Saria was a little bomb in a package. She didn't look strong at all. Unlike Degenbrecher that has an aura of a warrior.

"What the hell are these punks talking about?" Ifrit was about to use her arts, but Silence stopped her.

"Let Saria deal with them." Silence smiled wryly at her and Ifrit huffed.

The vouivre then kicked the leader right between the legs. Ash who had great dynamic vision winced as he saw his family jewels explode.

Saria then walked away with Ifrit and Silence. "Boss!" The bootlickers quickly checked up on the thug who went unconscious immediately. And injuries like that? They were definitely fatal.

"Good job, I give them a 2/10. They should have some shivs with them. And the leader ought to bribe you with money, amateurs." Ash shook his head in disappointment.

"Uhh, hello." Anthony waved at them awkwardly. He wasn't sure he could protect himself from Saria's strike. It was fast, decisive, and surgical.

'Isn't this woman too strong? She was so fast, ruthless too.' Anthony got wary against Saria.

"Wha? You found him already? Then isn't this a waste of time?" Ifrit huffed. She wanted to melt the walls and bust out Anthony from his cell.

"Well, how about we do that later? Anthony is amiable anyways. So he'll definitely agree." Ash patted him on the back and he could only nod with a wry expression.

"Hmph, but it's not as exciting anymore." Ifrit huffed and Ash sighed. It was definitely bad luck that they met up in the same cell immediately.

"Well, you don't know where's our cell. So we can just talk for now and you'll get your fun." Ash ruffled Ifrit's hair and she nodded.

"So? How are we going to do this anyways?" Saria tilted her head.

Ash rubbed his chin and he thought of the structure of the place. He then remembered that there is an office nearby their tower cell.

"Have you ever heard of the we need help tactic?" Ash smiled and they tilted their heads.

They started talking about it and Silence looked at him with a deadpan stare. "Really? And I'll be the bait for it?"

"Do you want to carry Saria?" Ash raised a brow and Silence shut up. The vouivre might be slim, but she has a lot of muscle which is denser than fat.

Her bones are also heavier due to her augments. Saria might not look that heavy, but she actually weighs more than a hundred kilograms.

"Fine." Silence rolled her eyes. "Hey, aren't some punks slowly creeping up to us?" Ifrit noticed people starting to get closer.

"Ugh, those are my assassins... Well, I better clean up this mess and not drag you guys in it." Anthony shook his head wistfully.

So he squared up and skipped lightly on his toes like a kickboxer. "Come on, punks." He taunted them and they took out some metal bars.
