58 Chapter 50: Rescue Commence

Ash gave the Rhine labs team a nice break for now because he would be sending the support team to Rhodes island himself in a chopper. Like a dad that's sending his daughter to school for the first time.

"Alright Adele, did you pack your bags? How about rations? Toiletries? Your AOS good? How many stims did you bring? Do you have a portable water creator?" Ash asked questions galore.

"Ugh, I'm not a kid Ash. Yes, I packed all those kinds of things for myself. Besides, if I didn't, then Monch and Gnosis would definitely do it." Adele rolled her eyes.

"Okay, I'll still send you to Rhodes island myself and that's final." He nodded and Adele huffed. "Fine..."

"Okay, we're clear to go. Let's travel to Rhodes island shall we? They're pretty close to Ursus right now. Right in the middle of Chernobog and Lungmen." Ash looked at the pin on his map that Kal'tsit sent him.

They all boarded their chopper except Platinum as she would be going to Chernobog incognito later.

"Wait! Can I go? Please~?" One Maria Nearl shouted out to them before the chopper's blades started to spin.

"Did you ask for your sister and Zofia's permission?" Ash raised a brow.

"Yes, I did! Here's the proof!" She showed him some paper with some poor handwriting, it was definitely her hurried scribbling which he thankfully understood after talking and mingling with doctors for some time.

"Your handwriting is atrocious Maria, it's like it was written by a chicken or something." Ash deadpanned at her and she scratched her head sheepishly.

"Fine, I assume your equipment is in order?" He looked at her and she was in her full gear.

The Nearls all had retrofitted reactive armors that could bend, absorb, and refract light for them with a neural interface like Joyce's chip.

Though it was put inside the armor and an electrode is attached to the length of their spine like how a controller is plugged to a console.

"Healing Guardian, Maria Nearl! Reporting for duty!" She had a goofy smile on her face and Margaret sighed. She was thinking this is a bad idea.

"Hop on." Gnosis just stared at her because she was delaying their departure. And Gnosis is a man who always wants to be on schedule.

"Don't be rude Gnosis, that's your boss' sister." Enciades reminded him and he sighed.

"Enough talk, we depart." Ash ordered the pilot and they flew to Rhodes island without any worries.

Seeing a guy with a light stick at the roof of Rhodes island, they quickly landed and the group stepped out of the chopper.

"Hah, I haven't been here for some time. Something changed huh? This place doesn't look like a building where hobos would stay anymore, Kal'tsit." Ash breathed in some air and looked to his side.

"I see that you're as unpleasant as ever." The feline rolled her eyes, but everybody respects her too much in Rhodes island except for a certain few. So it was refreshing for her.

"Any luck on the relic?" Ash tried to follow up on it, but the medic just shook her head.

"Oh, you haven't met them yet. This is Gnosis and his girlfriend who most likely crept on him, literally. Monch." He pointed at the two and they gave her their files.

"This is Maria and Adele, former's a guardian knight with her huge kite shield and all. And Adele's quite a destructive caster." Ash smiled and was proud of them for coming a long way.

"Hello~ I heard there's a lot of robots here? And they have their own AI that has a personality? Can I meet the creator?" Maria was giddy and Ash had to lift her up at the scruff of her neck.

"Maria, Closure's busy. I'm pretty sure the vampire's hard at work in making this place run smoothly." Ash chided her and she nodded begrudgingly.

"You have quite the line up there Ash." Kal'tsit sighed and thought that Maria would be like the reserve teams of Rhodes. A little hard to order and control.

"Well, my brother does pick up even weirder people than her..." Adele remembered their roster and Maria is normal compared to them.

"Well met Dr. Adele, you'll need a codename as you are very famous. You too, Maria Nearl." Kal'tsit advised, she then led them inside Rhodes island.

"Hmm, interesting facility you have here. Not really impressive, but interesting nonetheless." Gnosis bluntly commented after checking out the great spacing in Rhodes.

The small land ship's limited space was divided into compartments smartly. It could house a couple of hundred people and there would be no problems.

It picks up originium from the ground while roaming no man's land and it was refined in house for fuel. They tried to replicate Ash's hydroponic gardens. But without the critical components, they can just grow some really hardy plants like potatoes.

"Good afternoon everyone, I am Amiya. It is a pleasure to meet you. Thank you for coming here to help us secure the Dokutah." A Cautus; rabbit girl appeared. (pic)

"Hello, nice to meet you." Ash shook her hand and when their hands made contact, he suddenly had a vision. Just like all those years ago when he drank Sonus' blood.

A black crown, and a person sitting on a throne of originium. Except this time, their hair wasn't off pink, nor were they a Sarkaz, they have brown hair and.

"Ash? Ash!" Adele shook him out of it and he furrowed his brows. "Uhh, what Adele? I can hear you?" He played it off and Adele raised a brow.

"You suddenly froze for a good few seconds and had glazed eyes." Adele was suspicious of him. Her adopted brother was special. Not just above average special.

She could feel it, there's something more about him that was weird. And he looked like he was dreaming earlier.

"Don't worry about it Adele, so? Who's the little Cautus Kal'tsit?" Ash smiled and Amiya explained herself.

"I am the CEO of Rhodes island pharmaceuticals sir. It's an honor to meet you, I am very thankful as well." Amiya showed her oripathy which looks kind of different.

Ash looked at Kal'tsit, but the feline just made a little x with her fingers. Signifying it was classified. Her originium crystals looked raw and angry. It had red veins on it and was clearly abnormal.

"Why are you thankful though?" He was confused and Amiya showed her suppressants that Rhodes island made.

"My originium arts is quite special. It is impossibly difficult to control. If I unleash it at full power, I'm afraid I'll turn into originium immediately." Amiya sighed.

She had a choker on her neck and a few fingers had rings that were glowing blue. They were external type suppressants, unlike their internal ones. Which makes it less efficient, quite a lot actually.

"I see, glad to help then. That's supposed to be the goal. I have some unruly originium arts users at home too." He thought of the twins who were rapidly growing, he should train them more with it later.

"Enough pleasantries, let's go into the council room." Kal'tsit urged them to follow and they entered a meeting room.

"Yo, we're here as support from Deliverance. You can liken us to mercs. I owe Kal'tsit a favor, so we're sending some of our ops." Ash greeted the people inside.

"Glad to have more hands, elite operator Ace by the way." A middle aged tall guy with shades greeted amiably.

"Scout." A man that was covered up and was most likely the assassin type nodded at them with a lingering gaze for a moment.

"I'm Raidian~ hello friends." A woman waved at them and smiled at Maria and Adele.

"Hmph, so you are here... My mother isn't with you is she?" Logos tried to look behind him to check if his mother wasn't there hiding, ready to scold him or something.

"Sonus tried, but I forbade her. This is going to be a mission after all." Ash laughed and Logos sighed in relief, surprising the other elite ops.

"Wow, Logos' mom is with you? Kal'tsit, we might need to renew his contract, his mom can possibly ask for him back." Ace laughed and Logos scowled.

"Enough, we are meeting about how we will rescue the Dokutah." Kal'tsit's expression soured, but only for a quick second.

"Look at the files of the operators that would be coming with first." Kal'tsit handed out Deliverance's files and they checked it out.

After a few minutes, Scout raised his hand and was quite skeptical. He's an assassin after all. Be off guard and you'd be dead.

"This, is this really accurate? Dr. Naumann has outstanding originium art adaptability. Her mobility and strength are excellent?" Scout looked at Adele.

She's just 145 cm tall and she doesn't really have the build for her parameters.

"That's true, she might not have that much combat experience. But the girl can qualify as an elite operator with her control over her arts." Kal'tsit stated and they trusted her with her judgement.

The feline isn't an idiot, she knows what she was doing. "Maria Nearl has outstanding strength, durability, arts, and mobility. With excellent tactics and combat ability..." Ace looked at the teenage monster.

"Hehehe~ you're gonna make me blush uncle." Maria scratched her head sheepishly. "Ahem, so is that while you're hauling that huge shield?" Ace raised a brow.

Her shield was a few inches thick. It looked like a goddamned wall. It must weigh hundreds of kilograms.

"Un, Ash made this shield for me." She twirled it around skillfully and Ace nodded, having confidence in being with a guardian healer. And she is a knight of Kazimierz, he was sure she could swing that big sword on her back.

"Gnosis, outstanding tactical acumen, arts, and excellent on all others. Monch is the opposite, with standard arts, and tactics, but all outstanding." Kal'tsit finished the briefing of their skills.

They read their arts and other things and were really hopeful of Maria and Adele on the battlefield if they got spotted.

Maria would be an absolute tank with light arts like her sister Margaret. And Adele will be their annihilation operator that can spew fire and lava everywhere like a volcano.

"Team Deliverance will be going with Amiya. The top priority is the extraction of the Dokutah. They can be elite operators based on their abilities alone. A good balance in offense and defense." Kal'tsit showed them a map of Chernobog.

The sarcophagus thingy is smack dab in the middle of Chernobog. Maria is Ill suited for being sneaky, with her armor going clank clank anytime she walked. So she will be waiting outside in a nearby building.

Especially because she's non infected. Though they still need to be quick due to her being a Nearl.

Ace and his team will also be securing the perimeter for the escape route. They will be going straight to a nearby park for the evac point.

Ash provided a chopper for a quick escape for the vital target and the other operators will be informed by Raidian with her telepathy.

Scout would obviously scout for hostiles. And other squads will be stationed for emergencies.

If possible, they are to make contact with Azazel. An underground clinic for infected in Ursus. They will be carrying Ash's recommendation letter for Azazel clinic hopes to be like Asmodeus Bio Gentech.

They would definitely latch on to the chance of being supported by the titanic influence of Ash.

"Is everything in order? Then meeting adjourned, we travel to Chernobog in 700 hours." Kal'tsit finished and they were guided to their rooms.

"I'm so excited, it was so serious! Like I'm going to a mission with the silverlance pegasi!" Maria was excited and she even had the chance to get her own codename.

She used Blemishine, due to her opinion that her light isn't as bright and pure as Margaret's. Her sister's arts looked like golden sunlight compared to hers which is lighter in color.

"I know right? Ash's meetings are more laid back. They were like do this, do that, if there are problems go with plan c and all that jazz." Adele giggled.

The caprinae picked Eyjafjalla. Being obsessed with volcanoes and all.

"This won't be a game, anything can happen out there in Chernobog." Gnosis fixed his glasses and he squinted his eyes.

"You're really like Enciades even if you deny it Gnosis. You two are too serious. And Adele, the reason why our operators are free to make decisions unlike them, is they are all elites that act on their own or with other operators." Ash nodded at Kal'tsit's plan.

It was well thought out with many contingencies. Though that's the major reason he doesn't like planning as much as the feline. Plans would crumble if something goes awry.

"Anyways, I will be leaving you guys here. How about you go and mingle with Amiya?" Ash looked at the Cautus.

"Yup! Amiya-chan, you're already the CEO of a company like Rhodes island. That's pretty amazing! Though..." Maria looked at Ash and he was a capitalist overlord with an army.

Paradiso was basically impenetrable, the only way to approach it with an attack is through the air. And that is if they can even get close with all the phalanx anti-air turrets.

Everyone there knows how their weapons work. It was shooting 20mm rounds like it was a laser beam. Ash orders a test fire every month so the civilians would know how solid their defense is.

Their walls were outfitted with 14 inch auto loading turrets that fire shells as big as people. Every shot it makes shakes the very bones of observers nearby.

And that's just the civilian city. The original one is literally a fortress on wheels. With guided cruise missiles that were possible due to Nian.

The civilian buildings were retrofitted to ammunition factories that makes sure they can bombard cities or rain artillery for several decades on end.

"Thank you for the compliment. It is also very impressive being a knight at your age Maria." Amiya smiled and Ash nodded at their talks. They are going to be good friends, he was sure.

Ash then said goodbye and he left for Paradiso, leaving the chopper and pilot for their evac.

The three girls separated from Gnosis and Monch. And they decided to have a little girl's talk.

"Hey, hey, Amiya. Your job must be hard, my sister tells me that she loses her stress when she's with Ash. You have someone like that?" Maria was a girl, she likes to talk.

"Ehh? Yes, it is difficult. But I find solace in my work. Because Rhodes island will help the unfortunate infected with everything we can." Amiya smiled softly. Though she blushed when she remembered someone.

"Ohhh? So there is one? Who are they? Eh?" Adele nudged the Cautus and she sputtered. "I-it's actually the Dokutah. He's smart, loyal, and responsible for a lot of our success."

Amiya fidgeted and she twiddled her thumbs. "Ehhh? Then we're saving your beloved huh? So romantic Amiya!" Maria patted her on the back and Amiya smiled wryly.

"How about you Maria, you looked really happy when talking to Ash earlier." Amiya noticed and Adele grinned.

"Yeah, yeah! Is my brother living rent free in your head?" Adele wiggled her eyebrows and Maria blushed like a tomato.

"Hehe~ Ash is just really cool you know? He actually helped Kazimierz for the better. We've been talking with our uncle Mlynar. He says that Kazimierz is back to their glory days." Maria put her hands on her cheeks.

"Ahhh, she's gone." Adele saw her day dreaming and Amiya chuckled.

"How about you Adele?" Amiya was curious about the caprinae. She's at the same level as the Dokutah in their research and she was so young. She thought that the girl has a lot of admirers.

"Hmm? Nothing of the sort. Though I do admire my brother. He's saved millions of lives. In my research on how to prevent or eradicate catastrophes, I hope to do the same." Adele smiled softly.

The girls talked for a few more moments and they looked at the time. They decided to retire for the early morning tomorrow.

_Rhodes island, 700 hours_

Multiple transport vehicles are already on the way to Chernobog.

"Ready for the mission?" Ace asked the quiet Maria and Adele. They had a stone cold face on and he thought the two were nervous.

But they just looked at him with a blank face on and nodded. "The mission will be completed. Deliverance always does." Maria sharpened her sword with a special whetstone after she replied.

Adele was already meditating to rid herself of unnecessary thoughts. Arts is like a muscle, and she would be using it for combat. So she imagined simulations and was preparing for it.

'Scary kids, it's like they're going to war. What the hell do they feed them there?' Ace imagined their training.

"Scout! Go and patrol the perimeters with your squad! Ace, help Raidian into the city for our comms. Everyone else, move into position! Amiya, I entrust the Dokutah to you." Kal'tsit ordered and everyone looked at the city of Chernobog.

Sneaking around, Amiya's team with Gnosis, Monch, and Adele entered a facility that isn't really heavily guarded.

Monch took care of the few guards with a quick acting paralysis poison and they knocked them out. Dragging them to a containment unit so they won't be seen.

They quickly arrived at the black construct that nobody knew what it could do. Amiya took out a device and inserted it into a port.

After waiting for it to do its thing. The black construct opened up with a hiss and they saw a gray haired man with gray eyes lying down inside.

He looked to be sleeping peacefully, and Amiya slowly coaxed him awake.

"Dokutah, Dokutah. Wake up Dokutah, it's me Amiya." The Cautus looked anxious, especially upon seeing the skinny body of the man.

After a few minutes, he slowly opened his eyes and Amiya was delighted. "Dokutah! Are you okay? Dokutah?"

The man just looked around, Gnosis squinted his eyes and knew that look. He was confused, which is natural.

"Amiya, we will carry him and go. He's confused, he will understand what's happening later. He is weak, we need to get him out of here as soon as possible." Gnosis helped up the Dokutah and Monch strapped him to Gnosis' back.

"B-but." She was about to complain, but Adele raised her hand in front of her. "Mission first, talk later."

Amiya bit her lip, she then reached for her earpiece. "This is Amiya, target secured. Proceed to evac point, over." She tried to contact Ace and Maria.

"Hello, Ace, Maria... This is Amiya, proceeding to evac point, how copy?" She frowned when they didn't respond.

"They're not responding huh? We go outside carefully, come on. There's something wrong." Gnosis led them as Amiya is clearly not apt to be their leader right now.

A Lupo medic was leading the way with her sense of smell and her ears twitched. "Reunion..." She uttered with confusion and anxiety.

There were masked soldiers wearing white hoods. It was the uniform of Neo-Reunion. Which wasn't a good sign. Especially if they are in Ursus which is their public enemy number one.

"Enemy at 3 o'clock!" The Lupo informed them, Gnosis quickly froze them and Monch dispatched another duo at the opposite side.

"W-why? Why would you kill them?" Amiya was horrified and Gnosis shook his head.

"I see, you really are not suited to be the leader of this mission. Anyone who agrees raise their hand." The majority of the other operators did so and Amiya blinked with wide eyes.

"Amiya, these are hostiles. They are armed, they will alert everyone when we are spotted. And every single one of them will be hot on our trail." Adele explained and Amiya bit her lip.

"But they're infected just like us... They'll understand." Amiya was stubborn.

"Focus on the mission or we will need to haul you out of here unconscious. That's fine with me." Monch looked at her with her sleepy eyes.

"Amiya, you're a high risk individual right now. Do you not care about the Dokutah's safety? If so, then go on and shout that we're all here. If you're done, we don't need to contemplate who we terminate. The target's life is on the line, shut up and follow my lead." Gnosis looked at her coldly.

They quickly made their way quietly through the halls and the Neo-Reunion members were making their way outside.

"Quick! The outside needs back up!" One of them shouted and Gnosis understood the assignment.

"It seems that Blemishine knows what to do." He gave Amiya a side eye and they made their way outside.

Their comms were sabotaged, splitting up will be a disaster. Maria can be their shield as they bulldoze through the enemies for a path. And the knight understood that. So she quickly made a distraction.

Running towards the exit, they saw that an armored knight's shield and sword were glowing with light.

She was plowing through Neo-Reunion who were clearly hostile as Amiya and the squad members saw.

"Blemishine! Diamond formation!" Gnosis shouted and the knight quickly ran towards them.

A wall of ice appeared behind them for their blind spot and Maria stood in front. She planted her shield on the concrete with a dull thud and a beacon of light appeared.

"We wait for Ace and his team. They're nearby, then we make our way towards the evac point." Gnosis quickly informed the team of the plan.

After waiting for a few minutes, Ace and his squad arrived. Gnosis gave the Dokutah to Ace. Maria manned the vanguard with Monch at the rear.

Gnosis and Adele fired their arts towards the hostiles surrounding them. Explosions and shards of ice flew around like fireworks.

"Raidian, how copy?" Gnosis tried to check if their comms are live.

"No luck, we were attacked and the radio towers were targeted by explosives. Reunion members are attacking all over the city. We need to go and make a stand in the evac point. Raidian is in jeopardy here, we evaced her." Ace informed Gnosis and he nodded.

"Come on, we need to fortify the area." Gnosis gestured to go and they ran.

Arriving at the mission objective, Gnosis quickly fortified a choke point.

The Dokutah was given to Amiya as she stood in the middle of their formation. "Raidian will take a couple of hours to arrive in Rhodes island. We had to ditch her equipment and she lost her cell." Ace clicked his tongue.

"Light, heed me!" Maria planted her shield in front and a wall of light appeared. Spears of ice formed as a barricade and arrows from crossbows rained on Maria's shield.

"They're here, preserve your strengths. They can't break through." Maria looked at the incoming enemies.

"Dokutah, Dokutah. Can you remember? This is PRTS, you used to lead." Amiya gave a phone to the man and he just looked at it through his hood.

"I... I don't know, I don't remember anything." He just looked at it and Amiya was shocked.

"This isn't expected I assume?" Gnosis raised a brow and they kept firing arts from time to time.

"Yeah, and this will be a pain in the ass." Ace frowned.

After defending their position, the pilot who arrived for evac is in the skies.

"All out attack! Protect the chopper at all costs! That will be our ticket out of here!" Ace cried out and Maria raised her sword.

Her great sword elongated and her shield widened. She charged right through the barricade. Gnosis and Adele unleashed their arts, bombarding the enemies who were all grouped up.

"Make a clearing!" Adele shouted and Gnosis made a circular barricade. The caprinae then tapped her staff on the ground and a trench of lava appeared around them.

The chopper was clear to land and it was slowly descending. When a violet light hit it right on its blades and it lost control immediately.

It spiraled out of control and hit the ground. The volatile fuel from its humongous tank ignited and the chopper exploded.

"Tch, sniper! We need to get back in the city and regroup with the other operators!" Gnosis was annoyed.

Maria quickly blocked the line of sight where the attack came from and they retreated back to Chernobog for urban warfare.

"Blemishine, reserve levels, report." Gnosis was frowning and he wasn't liking what was happening.

"About 70 percent. Pretty good still, can go for an all out assault for a few hours. A fortified defense for a whole day." Maria checked her stamina.

She was their shield and she saved their asses. It was necessary to keep her healthy. Not to mention that she is their best healer.

"We have to reestablish comms, where's the nearest radio tower?" Adele spread a map and they needed that to regroup.

"A couple of miles here up north. We've studied the place for points of interest for months." Ace replied and they pinned an objective.

"Come on, let's go. Thanks to Blemishine, everyone's good to march." Gnosis checked on the team and they were good to go.

The other operators also looked at them with awe. If they thought that Amiya was their leader earlier, then that changed right now. Even Ace followed them, they are trained to be the best.

They moved through the shadows slowly, but surely. In groups of five so their squads won't be too big.

Squad deliverance were with Amiya as the Dokutah walked with them. He can now do so, but they were slow.

Ace and his squad were to scout the area anyways, so their speed was fine.

Moving to an agreed upon vantage point, Ace took a piece of glass and shone it on team Deliverance and the other squads.

Neo-Reunion didn't have any more people there as they thought it was already toast.

Quickly moving in, Gnosis checked the radio tower and thankfully, the idiots only made the control room explode.

"Give me a few minutes, we'll be able to make this tower usable with a radius of a few miles." Maria went to work and she quickly pieced together a little control panel.

Adele, Gnosis, and Monch helped her with everything. They cleaned up the rubble, located the wires, and checked the power source if it was alright.

"Dokutah, you need to try and use PRTS. It will help us with reconissance. You're invaluable for us to survive." Amiya coaxed the Dokutah to use the phone.

"Are you sure? But I... I don't remember anything Amiya." The Dokutah was of course doubting himself.

"Yes, you are a natural leader Dokutah. I learned that I am still lacking... But you are the one I look up to." Amiya held his hand and the Dokutah looked at the phone.

"Welcome doctor." The phone sounded out and he would use it later.

"It's done, Scout how copy? Rhodes island operators come in? Kal'tsit?" Maria checked and there were no replies.

"We've got it up and running at least. We should make our way out of the city. We can't wait for Neo-Reunion to stop their attack." Gnosis rubbed his chin and they looked at the map again.

"We should go through here, follow the radio towers. If this one's abandoned, the others are too." Adele lined up the radio towers as checkpoints.

But when they went outside, Adele gasped. "It's coming... The catastrophe is coming and the city isn't moving."

"What!? Are you sure?" Ace frowned heavily. "Dokutah, can you use your drones and PRTS to check our path?"

They stood still for a moment and waited for the Dokutah to check the surroundings with PRTS.

"I have a visual... They have the same color scheme as Ace and Amiya." They checked the people they found.

"Doberman-sensei!" Amiya smiled and they quickly reintegrated with their squad.

"Amiya, Ace." A black haired Perro nodded at them and they merged groups.

"We don't have contact with Kal'tsit and Scout. I believe we need to go immediately." Gnosis stated and Doberman looked at Amiya.

"Your call." Amiya nodded and they told them the pathway they'll use.

Lurking in the shadows once again, everybody was passing through a plaza.

"There is something weird here." Dokutah's words made everyone stop.

"Rear hear source detected." PRTS' AI voice was heard and they looked behind.

"There's fires over there, but why is PRTS warning us of it?" Gnosis raised a brow and Deliverance prepped immediately for contact.

"We should go now, that fire might spread. That's why PRTS is warning us." Doberman gestured for them to restart walking.

But the building behind them started to glow a brilliant red. "Rear hear source detected, contact imminent." PRTS announced.

"R-run! Retreat immediately!" Doberman shouted and they went for cover.

The red circle on the building finally got pierced and a pillar of fire raged. It continued on until it hit a building in front of them.

"T-these arts..." Amiya broke into a cold sweat and her eyes were trembling.

"It's unlike any other." Ace gulped a mouthful of saliva. "This is insane..." Doberman felt terrified.

"So this one's like Alastor?" Maria raised a brow and she put down the visor on her helmet.

"Whoever it is, fire is their arts and it's really strong. Line formation!" Gnosis shouted.

Maria was the vanguard and Monch quickly hid in the ruins because of the stray arts.

Gnosis put a layer of frost on Maria's shield and Adele began to prepare her arts as lava began to pour out of the ground.

"Light will ward all evil!" Maria roared and planted her shield. A thick shield of gold appeared in front of them and Gnosis grunted as he supplemented it.

A pillar of flames hit the shield right at the center and the Rhodes island operatives watched as it parted like water being waded through by a ship.

"I am Maria Nearl! A pegasus of Kazimierz, and I am everyone's shield!" She stabbed her sword on the ground and out her hands on the pommel.

"Hmph, a knight? It seems that Rhodes island had some help. You should've joined us, Kal'tsit is a fool." Talulah appeared through the flames, accompanied by hundreds of Neo-Reunion soldiers.

"What did the infected do? What did the innocent do? What... Can you do? What can idealists with empty promises do? This is as far as you go, Rhodes island." Talulah's eyes were hollow.

"Your ideals won't spread. Your naive dreams, won't come true." Talulah bathed them with fire.

"What the hell are you doing!? Go and take the target and run away!" Gnosis saw them gawking.

Talulah raised her hands towards them and a sea of flames erupted from it. Like a tsunami, it tried to swallow everything in its path. Everyone in Chernobog looked towards the phenomena, dazed.

"But I'll tell you how I want things to end, complete annihilation." Talulah smirked at them and the Rhodes island operatives' hearts dropped.
